4101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: URGENT: Windows Bitcoin-Qt update on: March 17, 2012, 10:36:46 AM
I always encourage people to review the git history, but if you spot the fix for this issue— please don't point it out yet (and I will remove posts that do)

Shouldn't you adher to full disclosure policy? This would actually encourage people to update.

2) notify to the OP that I was interested his topic

I think that the second is the most important, because it gives a reward to the OP.
He/She will know that there are some people interested on what he/she is saying / is going to say.
You can always send a PM.

I think that a good way to limit/stop all these "subbed" post is adding a counter ( or showing all their names at the bottom ) somewhere near/in the topic that show how many people are subscribed to it.

4103  Economy / Services / Re: Shades Minoco / Shakaru / Collections / Debt on: March 16, 2012, 06:36:08 AM
To date, I've received 34 btc.  I don't want you guys to think I'm doing something improper so if you want me to pay it out based on prop shares of the debt, I will.  It works out to about 0.00405011661953442718247681308235 btc per 1 btc owed.  So if you're due to receive 100 btc, you'd get .4 btc.  Thoughts?

After 3 weeks? LOL! Did shakaru get that job or not?

btw. shouldn't we pay up the smallest debts first to reduce the amount of debtors?

What are you babbling about? Huh

it's probably that SR stuff
4105  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: LargeCoin Pricing Announced; Taking Pre-Orders on: March 15, 2012, 10:56:49 PM
Any info on the company?
Is the offer for $15k still valid?

I'm from EU  Smiley

290 BTC for all 4 but I'd like to see pictures and temperatures (especially the VRMs) in GPU-Z after few hours of mining.

Do you know what would be the cost of shipping from your country to Poland?

Folks, apologies but I will be flying out to another continent for ~8 days
and won't be able to put up pictures until then. Sorry about that.

Np, I'm not really in a hurry.

BTW, escrow's fine I understand?
4107  Economy / Auctions / Re: Laptop for sale on: March 15, 2012, 10:10:08 PM
I think I'll wipe the drive before I send it. Although there is probably nothing on there other than Big bang videos or something.

Damn. I would bid if you hadn't said that.
Was actually counting on recovering a wallet..

4109  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What do you thing about my first rig setup? on: March 15, 2012, 06:25:35 PM
450W psu for this rig is more than enough, two overclocked 6770s will pull under 250W, I'd buy 5800 series cards if I were you, better MH/$, you can buy all parts used, if it's Radeon 5xxx series then this is the only way.
4110  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs - Bitforce Single and Rig Box on: March 15, 2012, 06:09:37 PM
BFL has already adjusted their original estimates on the Rig box based on their finding from the single and are quite confident this time around.

Ok, time will show  Wink
4111  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs - Bitforce Single and Rig Box on: March 14, 2012, 11:03:36 PM
Rig box should get 20Mh/w and was priced (when I bought them) at $25k each. That's $0.50/Mh which is pretty darn good unless you are really bargain hunting for GPUs and the other items needed to run them.

How can you tell that rig boxes will get 50GH and use 2.5kW? I wouldn't be surprised if it turned the same as with singles (1.05GH, 19W if I remember right..). Of course I hope this time they will go along a different route, I might buy one myself then (once I raise enough money ofc, $30k, even 25, is a bit steep).
4112  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Radeon 5970 on: March 14, 2012, 10:50:41 PM
I am pretty sure you could get few new 5970 GPUs. I could probably help with that.

Can you elaborate?
Skąd? Smiley
4113  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Need Help With ASRock A75 Extreme6 on: March 14, 2012, 10:30:48 PM

Thanks for the bounty  Smiley
Shouldn't happen but it's possible. OTOH this is a fairly new mobo, shouldn't it support 2.1? You could try with a different (newest?) BIOS but if the GPU gets recognized even by OS and drivers it, it's probably either of those two to blame.
Did you try disabling any options related to the onboard GPU? Maybe it is interfering. Also unplug and disable all devices and functions that are not indispensable for mining (onboard gpu, sound, spare lan, firewire, usb, etc - everything you don't need to load OS and start mining). If that fails, try a different OS, e.g. BAMT: http://bamter.org/download.html

4115  Economy / Goods / Re: New bitcoin shirts on: March 14, 2012, 07:29:49 PM
It was designed in the basic java editing software that pretty much every custom t-shirt company uses on their website. But really, who cares what it was designed in?

Doesn't really matter what was used to design it - IMVHO only the effect counts.
You actually can use Paint to make some awesome stuff:

This is the silliest criticism I have ever heard.

Hmmm judging from your recent posts it appears that you take everything very personally.
We are just expressing our opinions here, if you offer something you have to expect to receive a wide range of opinions.
Don't want them? Don't post, post something better or if you're only using forums to communicate - hit Ignore.
4116  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Mobo that can handle 4x 7970's? on: March 14, 2012, 07:07:48 PM
being able to hold down the power switch for 5 seconds to turn off a hung rig is valuable to me...

You can always turn the switch on the PSU.

Ok first off let me know who get the bounty for the first part.  I think Malev gets it let me know.

The second half of the problem. The card that is on the pcie 1x (1.1)with the jumper wire is stuck at 250gpu/81mem, and I can not adjust it. Afterburner will not adjust and neither will CCC? Any Ideas?
If I try to mine with it like that it will crash the system. Thanks again guys!

Hmmm not sure, all gpus in this slot behave like that? If there were more than 4 gpus and you had 12.1 or higher drivers that would be understandable (crashing upon mining) but not the clocks.
4118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitscalper back to business on: March 14, 2012, 06:40:53 PM
The hole is likely around one thousand coins.

Ah, so when people want their money and you admit to having it, you only have a couple hundred coins,

but when you claim you're hacked to try to give yourself a way not to have to pay, suddenly it was a thousand coins?

Interesting how your sociopathic mind works.

Do you mind if I use you for a case study of mentally deranged Bitcoiners for the magazine?

I never said i did not owe you guys some coins. With a couple of hundreds i meant around 600, the hole was at 400, now it's around 1000. This is the last count from the database :
1028.38379407561

I thought Bitcoins were divisible to the 8th decimal place.
4119  Economy / Goods / Re: New bitcoin shirts on: March 14, 2012, 06:13:36 PM
omgsougly.

Please come up with a better design than that.

Thanks for making sure not to be constructive whatsoever with your unsolicited negative feedback.

Well.. it looks like done in ms paint in 60s :/

otherboards can't deal with fat32?  i don't know, but it is the only difference I can find between the two.  i'll upload an image using fat16 later if someone wants to try it.

Yeah, that'd be great  Wink
