4101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on Bitcoin price on: December 17, 2016, 07:22:08 AM
Hello Bitcoin lovers!

Where I can bet on BTC price? I don't mean "What will be BTC price by the end of 2016,2017 etc?" bets. I would like to bet on quick changes of BTC price (dollars).

Thank you!
I think the price will go Down sharply at the end of the year . About $500/btc will go at end of this year .

lol this is so random here. OP is asking for a place to bet on bitcoin price (like binary option) then you come here and make an outrageous speculation.
let me tell you what, there is a higher chance of bitcoin price going to $5000 by the end of the year than there is for it to go down to $500
4102  Economy / Gambling / Re: MONTHLY BEST GAMBLING SITE (DECEMBER) on: December 17, 2016, 07:15:51 AM
to be honest I see nothing wrong with primedice encouraging their members to vote for them
PD spend money on giveaways-they get instant admirers and voters
many of them will go but many will stay and bring more money ,so it is a win win situation
plus the site is getting exposure and votes
Stunna has been doing some of the top notch giveaways and has always been generous to the community

everything is wrong with what they did. it is a promise of giveaway to do fake advertising for them, i find this a dishonest way of advertising. and it has clearly affected the Poll results, you can take your time and check the previous topics (the links are available in the first post) and see how it changed.

this month's poll is clearly disqualified in my opinion.
4103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Bitcoin price ever drop back down to $500? on: December 15, 2016, 08:17:33 AM
Do any of you that follow the price of Bitcoin closely think that the price will ever drop back down to $500 or something close to it? And why or why not?

I think that in the long run, everything will go to zero. But then, in the long run, we are all dead Wink

I think that a lot of bitcoin price rises are definitely just overhyped prediction and speculation. So once people realise there is no basis behind the rise of the price they may start to dump, leading the price dropping to potentially under $500.

your comment does not make any sense.
even if price goes up because of a hype, people are buying it to go up which means a buy support is there and if you ever check some exchange an study the orderbooks you can see that support there. and even if some start to dump there are so many others waiting to buy bitcoin based on that support and it prevents price from going down specially so low to a $500 price.
and besides a sell needs a valid reason, not just a random one. random dumps are small.
4104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Steem dump again... on: December 15, 2016, 08:08:58 AM
I think the the future of steem will largely depend on growth of its userbase. If it is regularly getting more eyeballs on its content, then the value should increase. The community seems committed to trying new and crazy ideas to get new users and keep them engaged.

that is true about all other projects too. when they attract more people it means more investors and less dumpers. but people are not going to be attracted to random projects just because they advertise, they have to have some real attraction that does it on its own.
take bitcoin for example, people will always invest in it because of the profit and the future. and also because it has some real world application as a currency which attracts users.
but what does steem offer?
4105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Weird question, but please answer. Coin's to hold for 6 years. I'm going to jail on: December 15, 2016, 08:05:33 AM
the main problem here is the timeframe of this investment which is a long time (6 years).
many things can change in this long period. even bitcoin or even gold can go down a lot, because we don't know what can happen.

the only thing that is sure is fiat itself. but as an investment you should always divide the capital into multiple things and always have a way of pulling out if they go down. for example you can get someone who you trust to do it for you and if you can find that person you can then think about going in full.
4106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: December 15, 2016, 07:59:51 AM
This is the kind of gambling game which i really hates a lot because chances of winning is very slim compared to dice and other games. I do easily lose up my money fast when i play slot games.Lets say i bet of play for 10 bets out of it i do only win for 1 - 2x only which is really frustrating and such a waste of money and it does really need luck in able to win and i think most people would say the same thing too.

Seems we have the same reason for hating, because I cannot find my luck with slot games that's I totally forget slot games and manage to gamble with dice game and sports betting. And I won't gamble with slot games anymore because it is truly a curse for me, I guess or I'm not that just too lucky by playing this game.
I really hate this game on which no matter how good the promotion is on a certain gambling site the chances are still the same on which lossing percentage is high and i dont see anything slot games do win always. I dont know why gambling sites do still promote or make this game on which i assume only a few would play for this.
you will never ever want to say this if you have won a very nice amount in slots game.
i did heard about someone few years ago when hanging out in the bar and try to play slots just for having a good time only.
and guess what? he won $750 for a bet of 75c x 4 only, just don't be addicted in this game.

this is true about any type of gambling as long as they are not rigged. when you play a fair game as long as there is even a 0.00001% chance of winning you can win a big amount some day.
but that doesn't change the fact that slot games are boring as hell. there is not much activity to it and you have to wait for each bet of this boring game to see the result. i have tried a couple of them online too and they were all boring, even more boring than the real life game. at least in real life there is the benefit of being actually at a casino.
4107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In what gambling games are you good at? on: December 15, 2016, 07:51:06 AM
The best gambling game for me is poker, I'm doing it often and I also mostly win plus its very very enjoying for hours when playing a tournament.

i like poker too and i think it is one of the most famous gambling games which is one of the games that people can actually win at. one thing that i have found out about it is that you don't really have to be an expert to enjoy playing it. it is one of those games where you can just play anywhere as long as you have a bunch of cards and a couple of friends willing to spend some hours playing it with you.
4108  Economy / Speculation / Re: As bitcoins price holds steady on: December 15, 2016, 07:42:34 AM
When anyone ask me about the speculation about bitcoin. Than i remember this year, because in the start of the year, many speculations were come about the bitcoin price. Everyone said that in the end of the year, bitcoin might be cross $900 to $1100. But nothing is happening, and also about the Halving speculation, but again nothing happened. That's why now in this time, i should avoid to say anything, but still i will wish, the coming year 2017 will be good year for bitcoin.

last year price was $300 and now it is $770 which is more than twice the value of last year. you wouldn't have call that "nothing happened" if you take a look at a price chart next time. not that many investments can bring this kind of return in a short time.
4109  Economy / Gambling / Re: To all gambling sites. Please make play money games on: December 15, 2016, 07:25:33 AM
this is a good suggestion.
you can only find the faucet on dice sites and many other games don't have that, and even a faucet is not enough. if there could be some kind of a demo mode which you could just play and test the games first in any type of gambling game without any limit that would help people get to know the games first and test them out before they do it with real money.
it is also helpful for testing strategies with no risk whatsoever.
4110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoin on: December 14, 2016, 09:34:10 AM
A look at coinmarketcap.com may help to make your own opinion.

not really.
coinmarketcap is only "data" and for those who don't know how to use this "data" it becomes misleading especially with their ranking system which is based only on marketcap which is a bad factor to use for comparing altcoins.

and it helps altcoins manipulate users easily. take a look at Ethereum for example. a hyped up coin with not much interest left in it but it is still number 2 because it has a huge amount of coins available.

as another example: if Dogecoin price was only 871 satoshi it could have a bigger market cap than ethereum and Doge with price of 14,954 satoshi could have a bigger market cap than bitcoin!
4111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why don't play in our game? on: December 14, 2016, 09:21:05 AM
we have added new game ODD-EVEN.
Welcome.

i have one question:

why players playing in our game before 10 Dec.. after 10 Dec no one bets..
i don't know what happen..

possibly because of lack of advertising?
or generally not enough interest in this particular type of gambling

have you thought about doing some promotional giveaways? they can be in form of simple giving away small amounts of bitcoin or it can be in form of deposit bonuses where people get a nice percentage on their deposits.

and in the end it is all about the game. some games simply aren't that popular among gamblers.
4112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would the Casino of your dreams look like? on: December 14, 2016, 09:14:28 AM
Hi guys!
There are tons of online casinos and gambling bitcoin sites. Some of them are different in some ways, some of them are really unique, but mostly they are the same.
I would like to know what would the ideal casino look like? What do you like on online casinos what do you dislike?
What are the best promos, which of them you don't like? Why? Which games should it have? What about tournaments? Etc. Post whatever comes to your mind!

the most important thing that i like to see in casinos is honesty which is mostly achieved through their provably fair part. but also i would love to see a light but beautiful interfaces, sometimes some of them are too boring with their design and sometimes they overdo it with all the graphics they put in and make it crowded.

as for games go, i like dice and i enjoy bitsler and don't think there is much improvement on it. but about other games i like some PVP games, some real PVP games, because some of them are fake and only show it as a PVP but you are playing with the site's bot!
4113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best ico to invest in this year for profit next year. on: December 14, 2016, 09:06:43 AM
none of them are good and even if one of these many ICOs get lucky in the future and reach profit, there is no way you can make sure about it today.

and besides you should all stop wanting to invest in all these ICOs, any person who invests in any of these schemes is helping this particular scamming scheme grow more and more. and after a while we will only see altcoins that are created and then live 1 month before they die completely!
4114  Economy / Gambling / Re: MONTHLY BEST GAMBLING SITE (DECEMBER) on: December 14, 2016, 09:01:11 AM
is this a joke or is this really happening?
13 brand new accounts on this topic advertising Primedice? shill much?

it was suggested before to OP to make this topic self moderated and remove this type of advertising from shills i wonder why he didn't listen and continue letting this happen?
4115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOT Upgrading to SegWit who's with me?! on: December 14, 2016, 08:53:30 AM
Or at least until Satoshi makes a public statement about it.  Tongue

you are mistaking bitcoin with a bank issued note or something!

even if satoshi comes out of anonymity and says "I am for or against Segwit" it should not matter either way. any person should make their own decisions on these matters, satoshi is not god Cheesy
4116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can a marketcap go down while a coin price go up? on: December 13, 2016, 02:08:40 PM
Can a marketcap go down while the coin price actually go up?

Yes it can.

Take a look at ripple price and cap around 14th january 2015 :
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/

NO it can NOT.
what you see on that chart is a bad comparison of apples and oranges. you see two lines one is in USD the other one is in BTC it would be like comparing time with temperature Cheesy

and the reason why marketcap (shown on the chart in USD) went down and price (shown on the chart in BTC) went up is because bitcoin price had gone down. if you check the market cap in BTC with price in BTC or both of them in USD you can see they both change together.
because simply put the formula is this:
Code:
market cap = Available Supply * Price
This value for ripple currently is 308,833.75043664BTC or 241,127,889.763992 USD
4117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: December 13, 2016, 01:58:46 PM
The hilarious thing is that when I win on gambling, I continue to use the winnings to play again and after that, I lose all of them. It is hard to control yourself after winning  because I often have the faith that I am able to earn more if I keep playing. And, I can never have a penny Bitcoin from any gambling site

i think all of us are the same but also at the same time it is mostly about how much you win. for instance if i win a big prize like in making 100% profit i will surely withdraw all my winnings and continue with the amount that i had before. but since i usually win smaller amounts like a 10-50% profit, i leave it on top of my bankroll to have a slightly bigger bankroll and then withdraw when all these winnings are accumulated to a bigger amount.
4118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the alternative cryptocurrency market flooded? on: December 13, 2016, 01:46:58 PM
these days everyone with the smallest amount of programming knowledge (as much as  a hello world! project) thinks they can start a new altcoin. and all they have in their little minds is money. that is why we keep seeing lots of ICO scams, and too many coins that are dead in the waters before they can even stay around for a couple of months. so yeah the market is flooded bad.
4119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Tech Giants get into Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining? on: December 13, 2016, 01:22:05 PM
What will happen if Tech Giants Like Google, Microsoft, Amazon starts investing in Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining?

tech giants like these that you named are too big to care about the profit they may get from bitcoin and remember that bitcoin is still not a fully established system but still in its beta initial phase and many even consider it risky and experimental.

those giants would either invest in something that can have a much bigger return 100 times bitcoin mining profit or if in a very unlikely scenario they decided to get in bitcoin they would buy and invest in it.
This is very true on which those big companies would really not bother to engage into bitcoin mining since they would see that they could only make small money with it infact they would rather choose to stick their traditional ways of making money which is even more bigger profits rather than on bitcoin mining. The would really not tend to jump on and you are right they would really hesitate since bitcoins value is still unstable and they dont like that for sure.

i agree. none of these tech giants will ever be interested enough to get into bitcoin "mining"
but on the other hand i think they will eventually start integrating bitcoin into their systems someday soon. Microsoft has been working with some altcoins in their Microsoft Azure, and i am sure that Amazon has been receiving so many requests requesting them to add bitcoin and they will give in to the requests. and these two are enough for bitcoin to go mainstream and to the moon from then on.
4120  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you agree if coinbase/exchangers give the data of costumers to IRS/government on: December 13, 2016, 01:18:06 PM
As we know bitcoins is anonymous and very appreciate about our privacy, but the exchangers be asked by government for show up our data to unknowing people.
It is for example and details what is aim they do it.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/expert-any-bitcoin-exchange-may-follow-coinbase-requested-by-irs-to-expose-users

first of all bitcoin is not anonymous and it never was.
and about your question i have to say when they don't have it in their terms and services when you sign up they have to warn people about it when they change their policy and destroy any information they may have kept before the new rules.
