4101  Other / Meta / Re: How about we start banning scammers? on: October 31, 2017, 07:43:20 PM
I think the best way to avoid scammers is look at their rank and their reputation . Maybe? Only trade with guy who has high reputation or high rank .
No. Reputation =/= Trustworthiness, and in fact trust is not an absolute indicator of true trust. After all, we know about the many exit scams that have happened on Bitcointalk. Wink

Your point about escrowing is kind-of right. There's always a degree of risk when trading (the escrow may decide to scam) but it does offer some insurance. I would personally say that trading with people who have no reputation at all (or little reputation) with an escrow would be equivalent to trading with someone that has a high reputation. The only difference is the escrow fee yet, in the end, you still hold the same financial risk, should one of the parties decide to scam.

I'm pretty active on catching scammers and i believe moderators should do some actions against them. We also need more moderators and better trust system. Not sure is the admins still active around to check whats going on but the scam attempts around are insane.
File some reports in the Scam Accusations section. Red trust will be splashed. Easy.
4102  Other / Meta / Re: You don't remove likely scams, But you do remove other threads? on: October 31, 2017, 06:53:35 PM
Do you think this is a spam thread? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2111476.0

A reply of mine was deleted and I still don't know why, as you can see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.540

I agree with the OP up to a point. We all know what is a clear spam thread but I have the sensation that sometimes posts get deleted by being too strict whereas spam megathreads remain.
I'm far more strict than the moderators, I'll let you know. My report % is still roughly 91 because I report contextually spam posts (where the question is answered before in the thread) or posts that reveal their spamminess when you look more closely. The thread that you linked seems fine: you posed a genuine topic for discussion and there isn't anything wrong with it. This is unlike spam megathread starters, where they ask a vague and general question that can be answered by just looking at the title.
Were your posts deleted from the thread you linked? If so then which post? (If you could reply with the specific post via the mod message)
4103  Other / Meta / Re: You don't remove likely scams, But you do remove other threads? on: October 31, 2017, 06:05:27 PM
You removed some threads without letting us know which ones. If they are sh*tposts then why do you clean it by yourself? You should show them to us before cleaning otherwise we'll keep sh*tposting. Is there a new mod here taking his job seriously too much?
Why?

Do you seriously not know which threads are built for shitposting and which ones aren't? If you can't tell that a thread is likely to be trashed then you shouldn't be posting, period. Just start lurking. After all, if you don't know the difference between a spam thread and a genuine one then you certainly wouldn't know the difference between spam posts and genuine posts. Considering your post history, I'm willing to say that this is exactly how it is.
I avoid the Bitcoin Discussion and Speculation sections now (used to post there) because they are sections full of shit. There is nothing good that can be found there apart from maybe one or two good threads, but they all eventually get raided by the cesspool of spam that leaks out of the abscesses of Bitcointalk.
4104  Economy / Gambling / Re: $18,000 in three weeks Click here to get rich I'll pay you on: October 31, 2017, 06:19:55 AM
Ah! That sounds great! "average bitcoin users getting rich online helping money launderers". Totally legal! /s
And you think a shittily-done site is going to fool anyone? This is such a worthless throwaway site that they didn't even bother to fill in the text boxes for "new deposit via", "new payout via" and "participants". Funnily enough, the register button doesn't even fucking work and so they can't even scam with the shitty website.
4105  Other / Meta / Re: Postins per day and reposting time. on: October 30, 2017, 08:50:00 PM
There is no limit to the number of posts you can create in a day, albeit you probably won't pump out quality posts constantly and consistently.

In terms of the strict minimum time you have to wait before posting/PMing, that is simply calculated with the following:

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

If you instead mean in terms of not spamming, there again is no minimum time. However, it is logical to assume that quality drops if the time between each post is less than 5 minutes (though there are exceptions).
So long as what you post isn't spam (or any other rule-breaking conduct), you can post as frequently as you'd like.
4106  Other / Meta / Re: Caution: My Hero account has been potentially compromised on: October 30, 2017, 07:58:18 PM
What do you mean Bitcointalk was hacked? the forum's database? looks like it since a ton of people are making threads with hacked accounts.
That was a bit ago, where salted hashes were leaked. This is why there is a consistent number of accounts being hacked (though if someone has a strong password or changes their password frequently it's unlikely to happen without stupidity).

I'm inclined to say that the increase in threads is because of the new security feature which absolutely stumps account trading. More account sellers may have decided to recover their accounts in this way and scam prospective buyers out of their new accounts. This is both a good and bad thing, but if it decreases the amount of trading, then it's an overall boon to the forum.

"3) After a cool down period of one calendar month (the same date you got the negative feedback, just one month later) you can PM me asking me to remove the negative trust.  I will review your posts, and if you have been sincere, I will remove the trust."

Given that you recently requested a loan again, I don't think that anything is going to happen.

And this is just a shitpost.
4108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone explain me the STAKE ? on: October 30, 2017, 05:01:06 PM
This doesn't exactly belong in Meta... but I'll explain with some basic maths.

The number of tokens you get is the result of dividing your stakes by the total number of stakes and multiplying that by the number of tokens designated for the specific campaign.

For example, if you have 1 out of 2 stakes, you will get 50% of the tokens designated for the campaign.
Specifically in your question, you would make more by making a video. Since in both scenarios you have the same stake % (1/100) then you are expected to get 1% of the allocated tokens for the campaign. Thus we choose the higher amount, designated to YouTube.

-snip-
The message was placed on the github before. In fact, it was posted on the github, "My bitcointalk account (buxlover) has been hacked I am writing this on 12th october 2017" which was the same time that I requested for him to verify on the github.
This is enough proof for most people, but I'm pretty sure that more/less theymos and Cyrus (to a lesser extent) wouldn't care enough to check the validity of this.

4112  Economy / Reputation / Re: Low life Lauda give me negative trust without reason on: October 27, 2017, 08:30:31 PM
You can't. You were given red trust because you are attempting to sell an account, you low-life.
Why are you so mad about a throwaway account anyway, patzer?
4113  Other / Meta / Re: List of stolen accounts on: October 27, 2017, 06:41:11 AM
but are there any info how they can hack accounts ?
mine was hacked too.
 how could they change the email adress?
Email address can be changed simply with the password of the account, while logged-in.
4114  Economy / Reputation / Re: --aTriz = Decoded-- [Cross Posting from Scam Accusations] [Interesting] on: October 27, 2017, 06:39:33 AM
We note the contradiction.

This is your alt account. You already did post on Aventhe too many times to "defend" yourself. Grin

Aventhe -> Date Registered: July 04, 2017, 11:40:26 PM

Back in 2015, I came across this thread by a user named Invullx asking for someone to post on 14 of their Bitcointalk accounts. Fast forward to now - about 2 months ago I realized that I am wasting my time as I could make my own account and make the same money instead of posting on 14 accounts for someone else. Therefore I started a new account and quit posting for Invullx(aTriz/decoded).

Now, what would be the point of registering a new account under the name of Aventhe if Invullx wouldn't get paid for it and one wouldn't be able to enter any signature campaigns? After all, Invullx had "14 bitcointalk full member" accounts.

Thus, we can conclude that the proof is invalid. Q.E.D.

You still did not explain to us why your profile is identical to aTriz
Why is this relevant? Profile similarities will simply be found eventually due to the sheer sample size. You're just cherry-picking data. Given the number of accounts on the forum, it wouldn't be unlikely to see some correspondence between two different individuals. Ever heard of the birthday problem/paradox?

Oh, and if you want a clear example of how stupid accusations can be, go ahead and look through this thread that accuses DarkStar_ and I of being alts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1591618.0

Our profiles were even more similar. Wink
4115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signature Campaign & sign message on: October 26, 2017, 06:44:20 PM
That's the 'verify message' box. You need to find the 'sign message' section of blockchain.info
I don't use it but you can probably find it when you're looking at your addresses (try to look for a dropdown menu)

Just a curious question for admin, where will the fork coins like BCH and BTG go for every BTC balance of each player on your website?
By the way, Bitsler will not support bitcoin gold. It is every user's own responsibility to withdraw their bitcoin before the hard fork happens to claim their bitcoin gold. Additionally, bitsler will not support bitcoin gold at a later date.
Read.

This is what im saying , be fair dt members.  Youre protecting those bullshits. They are even worst than what i did. 3 accounts same person, and yet your ignoring this doings.wtf!!!
You're fucking stupid. There is proof of you having alternate accounts. There is no proof of aTriz having alternate accounts. If you consider hearsay evidence valid, then surely you must believe everything you hear.

He could be but if he makes a valid case,it doesn't matter.
But there was none made.
4119  Economy / Reputation / Re: What the hell, i only bought this account and now lauda give me neg trust on: October 25, 2017, 05:32:32 AM
Any proof that i abuse signature campaigns, i was only the owner of this account last month.

Buying an account is akin to buying reputation. Buying reputation is akin to buying trust. Nobody likes someone who wants to buy trust. Thus, nobody likes someone who wants to buy reputation. Thus, nobody likes someone who wants to buy an account. Q.E.D.
4120  Economy / Reputation / Re: Low life who give fake trust in order to scam on: October 25, 2017, 02:19:53 AM
Not sure why "Indian" has to be accentuated so much, but okay.
The thread won't be locked because account sales aren't moderated, but the account surely will be tagged. (Given that it already has been by hilariousandco, I'd say that it would be considered red by most people. He is, after all, DT1)
