4101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: July 31, 2016, 05:08:24 AM
Hello
Though gambling is fun it is dangerous to gamble.People work hard to earn money which takes several months and years. Going to a casino and gambling it away is never a good thing to. Even if I was rich I would not waste a single penny in gambling.Rather use the money for much better things in the world.

That is a sensible thing to do. Why waste hard earned money on gambling when you can enjoy on other things that will not make you lose money. You can do sports and you can feel the same intensity, enjoyment that you get from gambling. But it does not make you and addict and you will not lose money doing it.
4102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: July 29, 2016, 10:11:46 PM
At times I consider it fun, by the way when I get few wins. Other than those scenario I consider it to be the riskiest earning method, because on the end time of events thinking of the event result heart pumps twice that necessary. This indicates how risk it is.

This is very simple view by a gambler when we are on winning streak and gambling doing profitable job for us only in that kind of scenario we can call it fun, but when happening against our expectation it sucks and nobody can enjoy his life after losing the big amount by gambling.

It is part of gambling. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. The trick is just enjoy the games and the fun, and just enjoy the loss too if you lose. But if you can do that, then better quit it because there will always some time that you will lose big in gambling and it sucks.
4103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: July 29, 2016, 10:07:59 PM
gambling definitely doesn't fix anything. it's fun and entertaining and at times can get you really lucky however that's it. it could very well though wreck your life if you are not able to control how you handle it. just be sure to gamble within your means and make sure to know when to stop.
Yeah, i agree with you. Gambling is too addictive. Tempting to do some stupid things. It could wreck your life without noticing your family is also affected. I have known many people like that. He gamble and gamble until got broke. Then his family suffered. You should learn how to stop. Its up to you if you want wreck your life.
Gambling is really too risky and even worst wreck your life to those people who don't know how to handle their emotions and their money, but I think if you know your limitations in life I think you will not wreck your life in gambling because for me, gambling is just a game, and nothing to serious here.

Some people hate to lose though. That is why they try to win even in gambling. And if they will lose, they will still gamble more and force it to win. But that is not the way gambling works. Luck will determine when you will win. It is good you do not take it seriously, but to those who do, it can wreck their life.
4104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: July 29, 2016, 09:12:32 AM
Let's say I generate a new address and by some miracle it has Bitcoin already in it belonging to somebody else. Is it legal to just take it? I understand those odds are very low, no need to lecture me, I'm just interested.

If you just created the wallet and it has some bitcoins in it, then it probably is yours. So taking it would not be illegal or have any immoral aspects in it. You cannot steal something that is already yours, right? And this scenario will never happen anyway. so no point in discussing it anyway.

Nope. You obviously have no idea how the bitcoin protocol works. Your wallet generates a private key for each address it has. Since theres no way to find if an address has already been generated, your wallet has a 2160 chance of generating an address in use. So it would be basically like randomly guessing a password to an account, or randomly guessing credit card details.

So are you saying that in your lifetime, you will generate an address that already is in use? Because you are contradicting what I said, so I guess you are saying you can generate one even if you are against the odds. I just gave a hypothetical answer to a hypothetical question.
4105  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: bitcoin hyip are they a gamble? on: July 29, 2016, 08:55:12 AM
Even if you said that you made profit from hyip, I will still not join any. It is hard to earn money. And it will be harder for me if I lose them on some hyip that I knew will be a scam but invested anyway because someone on the internet said you can still profit if you know when to get out. I am more comfortable investing on platforms that I know will never be a scam and are also making profits. We should be wise on where to put our hard earned money.
4106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Carry empty paper bitcoin wallets with you on: July 29, 2016, 08:50:21 AM
Gave 0.1 each to my friends after the crash. Celebrating cheap bitcoin. Gave away almost one bitcoin. Only ~200 aud at the time, now almost $1k AUD. So pissed.

Don't be pissed. You helped in advancing bitcoin by getting more bitcoin users. They became bitcoin users after that, right? 10mBTC is quite an amount considering today's price. But I am sure it was nothing back then. At least what you gave away went into something worthwhile. Not like mine. When the price was still low, some of my bitcoins was just wasted away by gambling.
4107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: July 29, 2016, 08:46:01 AM
I feel gambling is fun because I work all day hard and in the night when i am tired and need something refreshing, I can gamble and relax a bit but I never gamble big so that I don't loose big.

That is quite admirable of you to be able to control your gambling habits and limit it to small losses. Gambling can be a good stress reliever if you have it under control. But if it controls your will, then it is another story. If gambling controls your every action, like you spend whole day just gambling, then it turns from fun to disastrous. Just be always on top of it, and enjoy gambling.
4108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: July 29, 2016, 08:42:11 AM
Yes bro Gambling Is Wrong Because when I was a Newbie I lost my Faucet earnings totaling 0.01 Btc in Gambling. After that I Never Tried Gambling Again.
I think Gambling is Not a Good Way of Growing your Money. you can Grow your Bitcoins By many ways online....

That is the key for a real change. I do that also but first I withdraw all my money now and just leave some satoshi in my gambling wallet. That will be the one for my game. If all of that lose then I stop. just 50-100k satoshis then I am good.
I dont agree with you that gambling is completely wrong. It depends on the person who manages it.Yes getting addicted to gambling can be really bad and this is wrong. But if we do with some self control gambling can be really fun.
Yes for those who dont want to loose much in gambling the best choise is dont keep much amount in any gambling site.If there is less funds then u cant gamble more and so you cant loose more also.

That will not stop any gambler if he wanted to gamble more. It just takes a few minutes to fund a gambling site. If the funds run out, you can just easily fund it back with a few clicks from  your computer and you are back gambling again. What you are saying is not enough, most especially if the gambler is already an addict in gambling.
4109  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: July 29, 2016, 08:33:34 AM
$5k per bitcoin? I dont think this gonna happen in a few years. Maybe 50/years from now and bitcoins are still existing. Save your money on a bank before you retire coz bitcoin has a possibility occuring a sudden price drop. I dont think that gonna be the best way yo get rich.

well, bitcoin have the potential to price down. but it have the potential of price increase also. right now bitcoin is very stable. and I think this is best time to work with bitcoin.
becoming rich with bitcoin is hard. actually getting rich is hard not matter if you want to become rich with bitcoin or with fiat. because it need very hard works and dedications. and everyone can't do this.

Yes, it is hard to be rich either doing it in fiat or in bitcoin. It needs a lot of dedication and hard work. And I think whatever plan you can come up to become rich can be used in bitcoin and in fiat. So if you find a way to become rich in bitcoin, do it also in fiat and you can double your time to become rich.
but i am thinking about to start an exchange center where i will do exchange of bitcoin in fiat currency and the fiat currency in bitcoin. i am hopeful that through this people will get awareness about bitcoin. and hope that i will a decent commission through this exchange. i know so many people who are doing investing money in bitcoin hope that they will better support me in my new business.

That is actually a good business and will need serious funding. It will need large capital to start your business. You cannot start an exchange company with just a few bitcoins. If costumers come and exchange their fiat in bulk and you do not have enough funds, your company will have negative reputation. Good luck with your business.

4111  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 29, 2016, 07:28:44 AM
if you really want to save money then you can choose BANK. BANK can save your money is safe because the financial institution has guaranteed your funds in the BANK.

It is true that bank can protect your money until a certain amount. Above that, if the bank becomes bankrupt, then it is lost. And your money only earns a few percentage every year. If it is only saving then the bank is where you put your money. But you want your money to grow, then put it somewhere else that can earn more money over time.
4112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: July 29, 2016, 07:20:59 AM
gambling definitely doesn't fix anything. it's fun and entertaining and at times can get you really lucky however that's it. it could very well though wreck your life if you are not able to control how you handle it. just be sure to gamble within your means and make sure to know when to stop.

Gambling is good until you are doing it just for fun, but once you started gambling for profits then there is nothing that can save you from wrecking your own self, because when you gamble for fun you dont care if you win or lose but if you gamble for profits then you will try to recover you loses and that will lead you to destruction.

Isn't it worse if you do not care if you win or lose? That means you will continue to gamble even if you are losing millions because it is fun. That will also lead to a destructive life. I think, it will be okay if you can limit your gambling habits. You limit the amount of money you use and the numbers of hours you are playing. If you won't do that, even if you are just doing it for fun, it can still lead to a destructive habit.

If people inquire about bitcoin perhaps give them one.

I was at a shop last week and he asked how I would like to pay.  I said bitcoin or Visa, he said oh that is still around?  Explained a bit and gave him 2mBTC.

Spread the info to those that are interested!  (I also have made a bitcoin for beginners cd LOL!)

By giving him a paper wallet you may know the private key Tongue, on these days in most popular/rich countries people have android or iOS i would suggest like BNM above a mobile wallet. I like your idea by saying "bitcoin and visa" this is how us should promote bitcoin to others.

He could not actually make someone download something on their phone while at work. But on any other situation, it is better if we show others how to use bitcoin wallet and how to fund or spend its content. And an initial amount is also very good motivator specially if the exchange rate is very high. They will be tempted to explore it more.
4115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: July 28, 2016, 10:08:14 PM
Investing is gambling in my mind.  But if you're going to gamble on a gambling site, make sure that you're getting the right odds....I try not to play games that have a house edge.  Poker's my game.  I do have some investments in a few altcoins but those markets are pretty volatile so I wouldn't advise a newcomer to get involved with them until they've done their research.
You are correct that investing itself is also a type of gambling. As long as there's a risk of losing your capital, it can be considered a gamble. If you know what you are investing on and thinks that it could give a good return with a tolerable risk level, I think it is worth investing in.
Not all investment is type of gambling i think if you invest in gambling to play a game that is gambling itself, investing in bank is the best than investing in gambling that have a big difference of risk include in your investment.

Investing in a bank has also a risk. If the bank gets bankrupt then you will lose all your money on it. But it only happens very often. Same in investing in a gambling site or casino . But what i did already is i just invested my Bitcoin in one of the top online casinos here. And i only gamble what i get from faucet.

How can you invest in a bank? If you mean save money in a bank, then it is not investment. It does not even earn that much. Most of the time it just earn a little over 1% in a year. You can earn more investing in a gambling site if you choose correctly.
4116  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: July 28, 2016, 10:04:33 PM

It all depends on individuals lifestyle. If earnings are less and, expenses are more then surely savings will be hard. But if one start keeping out a little bit of money every month and try to manage their costs from the left over money then they can save some money over the time. But these days all prices are going up without any limit, and it makes very hard for average people to save money.

true, that's why saving should be a commitment . Buy only things that you needed not the things you want. Also buy things that is durable so that you are not buying the same things in a short period of time.

It all depends on how you manage your finances. Learn to save money first then the rest will be used for expenses. If it is not enough, then look for unnecessary expenses. Pay off your debts fast because interest from that will eat your money away. If you can stick to that, you will be able to save and invest in the future. Investments can really help your financial status.
For those who are in debt, others would also advice about paying them before just so the interest from those debts wouldn't file up. How many times have we heard of people trying to save and pay their debts at the same time and fail at both? There should be a good solution by talking to the persons or company you are indebted with to arrange some payment scheme that would suit your capacity to pay.
Well, it is a different story in the book that I have read already, according to the author even if we have debts we also need to prioritize our savings and savings should be divided in different allocation and one is investment. Only after our investment will succeed should we pay our debt.

Not everything that they say in a book is applicable in real life. Most of them just deals on ideal life situation and not applicable to everyone. If you have debts and you have no sufficient money to cover both savings and debts, pay off your debts first. Debts accumulate interest amd that will kill your saving strategy. Save after that. It will be easier. Then don't loan anymore when you paid off your debts.
4117  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2016, 09:51:26 AM
That is my plan to get rich and i think bitcoin will be part of my life to get me rich, it really big help for me and i am thankful that i discover this and it is additional to my source of income that is why i pursue to work more for bitcoin during and after my office hours.

I know that bitcoin is going to play a great role in my life and it is going to be the way for me to get rich in the future. I believe it that's why I'm still on this industry even though I'm still kinda new. I'm going to work hard and keep on collecting bitcoins as many as I can because it is really going to help as the price is going to increase.

Well if you are really passionate in bitcoin then I think you will have a great chance to be rich in it. Just focus in it and do your best to collect bitcoin and improve your life through it. Actually, it does not matter if it is fiat or bitcoin, as long as you are passionate in what you are doing, you have a great chance to be well off.
4118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: July 28, 2016, 09:46:17 AM
Because if you are losing you will end up chasing those losses until you lose everything. When you don't have anymore to bet then it is over for you.
I think it still will not come to an end mate, people will never be satisfied and admitted defeat for which they perform a variety of ways to keep gambling, such as borrowing money on lending, then gambling again
they do not realize that their lives have been damaged by gambling
But if they have no more to bet with how will they get the money to keep going on?
Steal it or selling things is the bottom of the barrel. Then what? A end to their life? Is that what you are saying?

take a look at the loan section and you will understand.
those who are real gambling addicts can never control themselves, they do anything to get money and gamble it away, they even take big loans to gamble with and in some serious cases they sell their house or take a mortgage on it and bet with the amount.

There is no telling what addicts will do just to support their addiction. That is why there are news of addicts stealing or killing for money. That maybe hard to hear but that is the reality of it. So before it is too late, do not ever allow any addiction to take a grasp over you. Whether it is gambling or drug, any addiction is uncontrollable and should be avoided at all cost.
4119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: July 28, 2016, 06:15:26 AM
Investing, where you can lower your risks with research, planning and good plan implementation.
There are not instrument of Investment who free of risk, but if you wanna try make Investment with low of risk, i think you must try make website gambling although it will need much cost and capital.

Even if you make a gambling website, it is not assured that people will go to your site and gamble. With the number of gambling sites running, it will be hard to fight for gamblers to go to your site. So, it is not actually a low risk business. But it is a profitable one if you can through all that competition.
4120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: July 28, 2016, 06:08:27 AM
Of course! Well since I would have a lot to spare then. Being rich means I could afford to lose a couple of bucks for recreation and entertainment and gambling certainly is an exciting way to lose money.. Well that is if you're out of luck Smiley
Rich can lose money in gambling but doing it is just a quality time for them, they would not think so much of the amount they bet as they have more of that in their bank account. That is the big difference between the rich and the poor.

I do not consider spending my time in gambling as quality time. There are better ways to spend my time other than gambling, even if I am rich. Things like time for family, sports or travels have higher priority than wasting my time gambling. I consider gambling unproductive because even if you win, there is nothing learned from it. No experience added to your life. Just a bet and hope for a win. Not worth  my time. IMHO.
