4101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Block support at 50% on: May 31, 2017, 02:57:34 AM
This BUg thing is getting boring. This guys are a joke. R/BTC is just trash talk impossible to read...

Btw while their hashrate go up their nodes still going down. Nice work jihad wu and roger suckver

These guys are a joke but they really do have a ton of leverage when it comes to the miners that make the decision at the end of the day, they've really (Roger) has got to be making Wu and his cronies a ton of promises when it comes to when and if they do take over Bitcoin (prayers that they don't)

Though I don't know how they can trust something like this when they've had so many node crashes and such - like how much is Ver paying them to stay on his side in this debate? Is he REALLY that rich to be financing this entire thing?
4102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: May 31, 2017, 02:37:37 AM
Working and maybe trading cryptos if you're lucky, it kinda works in the bull market that we're in right now but I wouldn't trust it for some sort of long term growth as the bubble (crypto bubble) is going to pop at some point. Though the best point to make money is normal selling of goods and services on here as it's something that you have control over the money that you're making and don't have to trust the market when it comes to building income.

I would just sell some sort of thing you could do, that's always the best bet and the one with the minimal amount of risk.
4103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: May 31, 2017, 01:57:05 AM
My parents are keen on asking about it every so often, but nothing too crazy, most of the people in my life don't really show any care for it unless it gets some sort of news coverage- I did get a higher influx of people from last year I guess based on the price increasing by a pretty good amount but they're all just saying the normal "Wow I wish I bought at price X"

But, nothing about people using it for any sort of thing at all. Just normally talking about making money like its any sort of investment.
4104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is declining as top crypto currency. Why? on: May 31, 2017, 01:00:26 AM
Why do you guys think Bitcoin is declining in popularity? Looks like Ethereum will pass it. What can Bitcoin do to maintain number 1?

it old tech  with high fees and a long delays in the  transfer of money .People get sick of that after while

This part is true thought I wouldn't say this is the reason for Bitcoin losing it's dominance - as I also don't beleive Bitcoin is losing it's dominance as I would only think at this point that a certain number of Altcoins + Bitcoin are all being pumped in a way to make some good money for a select few individuals.

People may come out and say well look at ETH, or XMR, or XRP and so on and so forth but these have had no real usage in the least when it comes to BEING REAL CURRENCIES - Bitcoin is the only one that has broken this barrier. The other ones are simply being used by traders to make some money.

So, Bitcoin isn't losing it's top spot in the least.
4105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 31, 2017, 12:26:12 AM
No I wouldn't believe this at all, criminal activities are going to occur with Bitcoin are not due to the simple fact that the demand is there for people who want money from activities such as selling drugs, Bitcoin MAY help to facilitate this process with more anonymity (considering you follow strict rules) Though I think Bitcoin is simply just a minor player when it comes to helping facilitate these transactions and isn't even close to other levels such as cash.

So, I wouldn't think there is any correlation between criminal activity and Bitcoin usage - that's a narrative the MSM or the government puts out to degrade Bitcoin users.
4106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin was at 2500$ on: May 28, 2017, 02:13:16 PM
I think the Reason for it being so high is that normal people are now seeing it in the news and wanting to get in on this sort of investment, they don't see it as anything else and they're going to try to make some good money off of it - or they tried for that matter. Because I think once it hit the 2500 mark the whales started to Realize a number of profits that they were making and just simply went ahead and sold it, they did well and they may stay away from Bitcoin for some time.

I always thought Bitcoin would stay around 1500 but I suppose it may stay over 2000. Only time will tell I guess.
4107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 27, 2017, 06:12:45 PM
This is just simply not true, I know a good amount of people are using Bitcoin as somewhat of a hobby but I wouldn't say that people are relying on it going up / other cryptos going up as their source of income today, It'd be one of the riskiest things if this is true though. Because as we see right now, the price is beyond the point of volatile and it's just spiking to new levels.

I could see some of the whales using it as one of their many investments, alongside traditional ones such as the stock market. As it would make sense for people like that to have some sort of RISKY area of their portfolio. But, I'd highly doubt anyone using Bitcoin as their main and only investment/job.

It's only used for trading though, so yeah.
4108  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Is this a Ponzi Scheme? on: May 26, 2017, 05:26:17 PM
In all honesty, anything that is advertising in such a manner is totally going to be a Ponzi of some sort. I'd completely ignore something like this as they seem to be helping to advertise for another Ponzi, which looks to be - https://bitcoinsbrain.com/.

I would avoid these two sites at all costs as anything promising a certain amount of return per month is something that you should go away from. No one is going to take your money and make money out of it when they could just have the chance to run off with it - it's real simple actually when it comes to cryptos.

So, just stick to things that actually work such as buying and selling and such, that never fails.
4109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 10, 2017, 09:00:31 PM
This is simply a bubble it's going to pop soon when everyone notices that they can't just join altcoins in order to make money simply, its something that you're going to have to really research when and if you get into it. At the moment, the market is disgustingly bullish to the point where pretty much every coin (Including Bitcoin) is at an all-time high.

I know people from the certain areas of the Bitcoin scaling shit are going to try to play this off as Bitcoin losing its grip on Cryptos and some other coin will take over that'll solve the problems if we don't adopt something like BTU, Segwit (Still support it, but I know this is probably happening), but this is just simple bullshit. No one is actually using these coins (With the exception of Ether - Small Contracts) for any actual usage in the least, people are only using them in order to trade and attempt to make some money off of.

Dominance in usage isn't just dominance in people investing is.
4110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes the bitcoin price stronger in the market? on: May 10, 2017, 07:02:37 PM
Generally speaking, i think bitcoin awareness is growing and alot of people are atleast becoming curious about bitcoin.  This will obviously make a certain percentage of those people to find out more about bitcoin and possibly make an investment which in turn will helps the rise in rate of bitcoin.  The future of bitcoin looks great.  The downside for me is i still don't have 1BTC yet Sad

I really don't think this is true in the least, I think people are just hyping Bitcoin into the stages of it hitting these massive numbers at the moment. Before, Bitcoin was on pace to actually leveling out and not having any sort of volatility but it came out of nowhere for Bitcoin to be hyped. This is something in which I feel was orchestrated by the big whales and the HODLers as a whole in order to make some good money, and at this pace they're actually doing pretty well.

You can't try to tell me people are becoming curious at this random time, this is a volatile coin with a history of issues surrounding the exchanges that have sold them and continue to sell them to this day (I'm looking at you BFX)

Price strength is judged by the people buying and selling, more buyers that want causes an increase. Simple economics.
4111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major crash no. 5 for BU nodes. on: May 10, 2017, 03:02:45 PM

I count about 11.

Honestly though, I don't care either way. I just want to stir the pot also.

Aren't we all just trying to stir the pot at this point to get all the miners to notice that this is shitty code and shouldn't be the scaling solution which we allow to hit the masses, we should allow it to die at this point and the miners should let SegWit takeover to help with the issues relating to the network as a whole. As it's disgustingly bloated at this point and the scaling is the only way in which we'll be saved.

Gosh, I honestly don't know how much money Ver is dishing out in an attempt to take over the network through hostile means but the thing I don't understand is how the miners are willing to throw any sort of reputations and credentials they have for some money, as I doubt Ver is paying them THAT MUCH to be his shill and a crony.

Hope this will be the end or at least the beginning of the end.
4112  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk Emails HACKED on: May 10, 2017, 02:32:53 PM
Probably just preying on people to simply not notice and just click on an attachment as the person feels afraid, it's the pretty common scam these days as people feel as if they don't click they could be missing out on finding something vital. This is something that is going on at the moment when it comes to Google Docs, as they're spreading some sort of virus through this platform which get some people to actually do it based on the fact that they hack emails of people you know and spread.

This kinda opens the window for people to go ahead and just open it as they think it's from a friend. Pretty sad to see people coming to this, but with the BTC price so high you kinda expect it.
4113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many of my fellow bitcoiners do affiliate marketing? on: May 10, 2017, 01:35:49 PM
I've tried to do something along those lines with my Instagram accounts, as they are pretty popular and do have a lot of followers gains and likes daily but I wasn't able to find anything which specialized in Bitcoin / allowed Bitcoin to be used as a payment method for the affiliate marketing. It would seem like something that would be pretty good and may actually be able to use this at some point.

I thank you and applaud you for adding this to the Bitcoin community, wish ya luck on this too!
4114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can we admit segwit SF is never going to get 95% approval? on: May 10, 2017, 01:12:00 PM
I don't think it's going to end up being activated at any point through any means like this, we're going to need a full-scale assault pretty much close to what BTU was attempting to do in order to take over Bitcoin. I know they did some pretty scummy practices which probably consisted of bribes and such in order to try to get people to come along with his hostile takeover.

But I don't think it's going to get the approval it needs in order to go through, we're gonna need to incentivize it for the miners, even the ones using the practices of ASIC boost as they're going to be losing capital and do control a ton of the market. It's tough to want to negotiate with people who were scumming the network like this and stalling for personal gain, but that's how business works.
4115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Reason Bitcoin will always be #1 on: May 10, 2017, 12:10:54 PM
I wouldn't even say it's just from the name itself, it's from everything that Bitcoin has done and it's from being in the marketplace for innovation. It's just like the person who hits any market first is able to get brand name and loyalty from people to be able to control the market, so even if new innovations come along it won't hold such a high hold on people. Looking at Ether, it has such wonderful innovations when it comes to the coin itself but BITCOIN WAS FIRST.

If Bitcoin does innovate, they'll be able to put an even higher hold in the #1 position they so dearly hold.
4116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Somali minister shot dead near presidential palace on: May 10, 2017, 10:33:17 AM
I find it hard to believed that this is a accident. Abdullahi Sheikh Abbas, looks like he has a bright future in political in the war torn country Somalia. But was cut short by this apparent accident. They should have known that the car is carrying a cabinet member inside, because for sure there would be like identifying mark that this car belong to a cabinet member. I think investigation should be rolling and identify the motivation behind the shooting. And punish those who killed Abdullahi Sheikh Abbas. Its a sad story knowing that he came from a refugee camp and finished high there and pursue his love for his country by serving only to cut short by the shooting.

Well if something like this was classed as an "accident" and people are starting to look the only way, you can only thing and suggest that this was sanctioned by the highest powers of the government to get rid of someone that was going to pose some sort of issue to the people in REAL POWER at the moment. The investigation isn't going to occur and if it does nothing is going to happen to the guy who's really behind it, someone may take the fall for it though.

Sad to see such corruption present, but what can you do I suppose it's bound to happen by human love for money and overall greed.
This is pure assassination! Looking at the way it happened it cannot be otherwise. Power is transit and it has got to the head of most if not all African leader. We should do more prayer for our leaders as currently devil is using they mind to killed themselves and they followers because politics.

Can't confirm whether it was assassination or not. If it was one, then this guy might have locked horns with a few powerful figures in Somalia. That country is one of the most lawless places on earth, and even if someone gets killed it is not going to attract much media attention.

+1 I can only think about the locking heads part as being true, probably the motive behind this entire thing.

4117  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VIDEO: PRO-MIGRANT FRENCH ASKED TO HOUSE A REFUGEE; ALL REFUSE on: May 10, 2017, 04:34:32 AM
No surprise there. Most of these migrant lovers are ultra-rich moonbats, living in posh gated societies immune from the rapefugee terror. For them, the migrants are just another source of cheap labor.

Yeah, they're not going to be the people that are going to put the money and such where their mouth is. If they really wanted too, all these globalists scum could go ahead and pay the rent and such that the government would have to be paying for all these refugees instead of forcing the people to pay for it. This is also true in the US, where the main people who want to take in these people aren't going to be the ones that want to bankroll the budget behind them or even take them in.
i am well used to these hypocrites, i'm originally from hampstead london which is where the term champagne socialist originated, cheapest house is a couple of million and not a dark face in sight except maybe a plastic surgeon or two from the subcontinent but you wouldn't know it from the way the residents all vote labour or liberal democrat and wrote in their local newspaper about how the council should take in syrian refugees (it did, and none were sent to hampstead, all were dumped on the poor areas of camden)

I have an idea. Every single council must vote on whether they should accept these Muslims or not. The refugees must be sent only to those councils, which vote in favor of the idea. Let these liberals get an idea of the immigrant crime wave.

Though, wouldn't this people just be able to move out of the city they originally came to if they were already in France? Though I guess they'd only be getting benefits from the city if they LIVED in that city. Tough thing to work out
4118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is better than Obama? on: May 10, 2017, 04:01:45 AM
In my own opinion, I think that he is, but this simply isn't going to follow everyone else on this forum based on the simple fact that not everyone is going to be supporting/liking the same ideological views, so we're bound to like different people when it comes ruling government but I'll lay out some reasons. I do feel as if Trump is someone who is more of a "Lets get things done" then lets "see what the pollsters think about this" as he's going to follow what's best for the country and not what's most popular at that moment.

I feel that he cares about the country to a very high regard, because at this point in his life as a billionaire and considering how old he is I doubt he'd be taking this position in order to make more stress by doing corrupt things. I think that he actually wants to help the common people and he has a vision for this nation, I feel that Obama was a shill from the Democratic party and was just trying to advance their agenda in order to try to win elections for them - not considering the country.
4119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN NEXT HALVING - From 12.5 to 6.25 in less than 3 years on: May 10, 2017, 03:26:17 AM
Even with what other people are saying I feel this is one of the main things that's going to be pushing the miners more and more under the centralized rule of the miners in China and going to move them out of being decentralized and in places like the US, Western Europe, ETC (Countries with more expensive power)

I do support people making money and such, but I will say I'm not a fan of people having such a grip on the Bitcoin network as a whole that they're able to stop the overall movement of the entire network if they'd like to because they don't support a certain scaling solution which will help to fix the countless issues faced by BTC at the moment. It is a good wave of people leaving the mining field though, so it does let SOME people with cheaper power get into it though it always seems to go to the people who already have so much control and just want to cement more.

4120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 10, 2017, 02:58:08 AM
I personally think that is a good thing, first of all the decreasing dominance means there will be an alt coin that can become bitcoin rival which means we have a backup coin if in case bitcoin got problem, and then people who are investing in alt coin is only invest for short term, so the dominance for alt coin maybe its not correct, if there is no implementation in shop or business then no matter what is the number, alt coin will not dominance

This just isn't simply true in the least, no coin on here is going to come and rival BTC there's just no way that any of these coins are going to gain any respect and trust, outside of the trading world, and be able to turn into a coin that is actually accepted in some places. The only coin that I can think is accepted in some places is going to have to be XMR but that's only a few dice sites that support being anonymous online.

So, it doesn't relly matter if the dominance is decreasing as people have already shown this to not really matter in the least. 1 Most of the market caps which are coming out are insanely fake and the other part of this is that the coins themselves are only being traded, not used like Bitcoin is and will always be used. Now I'm not saying BTC isn't used by traders as well as it is, but it's not to the same percent by usage as compared to alts.
