Yes, it happened in the Romanian board. Please see my update to my previous post. I added a new paragraph.
4122  Other / Meta / Re: What is exactly the functionality of "Report to moderator"? on: April 18, 2020, 07:45:19 AM
Looool indeed.

Even if you don't know Romanian, the case is crystal clear. Just look over the posts Smiley And shilling a site in 77 out of 202 posts means that user actually shilled in 38% of the posts (talking about goanadupabitcoin). Almost a half lol. The links are also in plain sight.

In Nea Sandu's case it's a bit more tricky, as he used the BBCode url /url to hide many links. But even so, I still checkd all his links. He has fewer (just 5%).

Besides, in many cases incorrect information was stated (such as Bitcoin not having a 21 million cap and so on). But to see that you have to know Romanian.

However, this might be a delicate situation, as I already described here, with these two users being aquaintances of Cyrus. And, as most likely he will check the reports, it is possible to "forgive" them, as Lauda already pointed out. Let's hope for the best though.
4123  Other / Meta / What is exactly the functionality of "Report to moderator"? on: April 18, 2020, 06:45:51 AM
Two days ago I reported to moderators 100 posts of two connected users which were shilling constantly their website here, through their posts. The reports were made by clicking on each of their post where they were mentioning the site (goanadupabitcoin.ro) and then selecting "Report to moderator". Besides, as the above link shows, I also mentioned them in o_e_l_e_o's topic, which seems to address (with success) such spamming behaviors. These were also my first reports on the forum.

As I wrote also in that topic, I reported 77 out of a total of 202 posts of an user and 24 out of a total of 462 from the second one. That was happening two days ago (April 16th, 2020), somwhere after the noon.

During the evening of that day, I was having a report accuracy of 25%, understanding from here that 25 posts reported by me (out a total of 100-103) were analyzed, were correct and, as a consequence, deleted. But the users had only 1-2 posts deleted.

I said to wait, maybe it takes time until the posts are actually deleted. Yesterday morning I checked again. My accuracy was showing as 50%. But still, the users had only 1-2 posts deleted.

I waited more. Since yesterday evening and until this moment, my accuracy dropped from 50% to 34%, don't know why, as all the posts I deleted were shilling that site. Thus, if 1 of my reports was correct, then all 100 should be correct. The opposite is also true: if even 1 of my reports was incorrect, then all should be declared incorrect.

After that, I checked again the posts number of both users. First user (goanadupabitcoin) has 194 posts out of 202, thus only 8 were deleted out of a total of 77 reported posts. Second user (Nea Sandu) has the same number of posts as two days ago - 462 - thus 0 posts were deleted in his case, out of a total of 24 reported posts).

So there seems to be an error. If I reported 100 (or 103; don't remember exactly) and I have an accuracy of 34%, this should mean that 34 posts were deleted. However, only 8 were deleted, which means 8%. Why?

Besides, as I mentioned above, if only 1 such report was correct, then all should have been declared accurate, as in all posts reported by me these users shilled their side. How could be only 34% (and 34 in numbers as well, as I reported ~100 posts) declared accurate and the rest inaccurate? Or how could have been my accuracy at 50% yesterday morning and 34% since yesterday evening, considering I did not make other reports?

Any idea?

Welcome!
As a matter of fact, even Members received 10 airdropped merits at that time.

The only ones who didn't receive any airdrop were the ranks which did not require any merit back then: Brand New, Newbie and Jr. Member.

Months later, in Sept. 2018, theymos changed the requirements for Jr. Members, which, since then, need 1 merit (more info here).

This led to a mass demotion of all Jr. Members to Newbie (all which didn't have at least 1 merit, of course) and also to a riot of the shitposters lol. But it was a great enhancement!
4125  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the most merited post? on: April 17, 2020, 09:05:54 PM
I think you are confused a bit, although I wrote before a quote from his words.

So: at that moment (Jan 24, 2018), if you were already Legendary, you would have received an airdrop of merits equal to the number this rank requires now: 1000. If you were Hero, you would have received an airdrop of 500 merits. And so on: the same applied for Sr. Members, which received 250 airdropped merits, or 100 for Full members.

All these merits were "born" through code, of course.

After that moment, all the new registered users had to start earning from 0 merits.

I hope it's more clear now Smiley

Thank you again for your nice words, Coin-1! Your supportive attitude is much appreciated Smiley

I don't know who is "they" lol. Theymos is the one running the forum and he has multiple staff members helping him.

He did not give merits to himself nor to the staff. You can see here the entire merit history of any member, including theymos: http://loyce.club/.

He is the most merited member of the forum.

I'm not sure you are ready for this lol. If I counted correctly, I see he got 1431 merits for that topic announcing the merit system Smiley

Here it is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0.
4129  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the most merited post? on: April 17, 2020, 03:56:53 PM
Actually, this is how it started.

How merit was born? Some hero members were awarded with a specific number of merit. They share them to others and this is how it began.

No...all members received merits according to their ranks at that moment.

Quote
For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank.

After that point, all new registered members had to start with 0 merits and work their way up.

Perhaps tman was banned?

Certainly he was not banned, according to Bpip.

In 2014, the forum had about 5500 BTC. I remember I saw a more recent post of theymos saying the forum reserves are around 6000 BTC, but I can't find it right now... Maybe someone else has that post at hand?
4133  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the most merited post? on: April 17, 2020, 01:52:23 PM
Wait, did theymos actually paid these people real bitcoins?

No, he faked it lol.

Of course he paid. Actually, I was one of the winners. I can confirm that he paid Smiley

As a project, we found it is easier to discuss on Telegram, Facebook, Github and other social channels. We have over 10,000 people on telegram, and we have over than 10 different groups on telegram. Cheers

Well, you have to take into account that not all BitcoinTalk users have a Telegram account and a part of those might also not be willing to open a Telegram account.

And for these members you should pay also attention to what they write you here, on the forum. After all, you started this topic, not a WebDollar user, thus also you should take care of your users writing here.

If you didn't care about BitcoinTalk since the beginning, you shouldn't create this topic. But you did it, and now you should take responsibility and talk to your users here as well.
4135  Other / Meta / Re: Should this kind of disgusting posting behavior be allowed? on: April 16, 2020, 06:38:05 PM
Romanian have a classic Romanian style you most of the times can see from kilometers away.

Unfortunately, while this is true for some, it is not true for all of us.

However, seeing the topic mentioned above by Lucius and also yours and hosseinimr93's posts, I reported also goanadupabitcoin's shillings and as well Nea Sandu's (the sockpuppet account of goanadupabitcoin) on the thread mentioned by Lucius, which was started by o_e_l_e_o - List of advertising shills. Mods please review and ban as appropriate.

Besides, I also reported one by one each post of them where they were shilling their own site, spamming the forum. 38% of goanadupabitcoin's posts were links of their own website (75 posts out of 202). In Nea Sandu's case, only 5% of his post were directing to the respective website.

I'm really curious though how this will develop. The Romanian mod is Cyrus and he is also Global Administrator, sort of theymos' wing-man. And, as far as I saw from the posts of goanadupabitcoin / Nea Sandu, they are aquaintances of Cyrus (maybe friends?). However, I hope his judgement will not be biased by whatever their relation is.

@OP: thank you for opening this topic, which opened my eyes also to the situation I described. Also, thank you Lucius, hosseinimr93 and andulolika for showing the path on how to proceed in such cases.
4136  Other / Off-topic / Re: Share Good Movies Please? on: April 16, 2020, 04:08:14 PM
Hehe you are very welcome Smiley I said once I'll do it and I did it! It took a while indeed, as it took a while until I created the Moviemaniacs Gang topic, but I didn't forget what I said. Unfortunately I didn't have time post sooner.

Coming back to the sites, I mostly use the first three of them, especially radiofly.ws, where you can also download the movies.

The other ones may have more broken links than first three ones.

However, you'll be able to watch there hundreds, even thousands if movies!

If you understand English well and if you don't need subtitles, you can watch them online. But if you need subtitles, use radiofly and download them, then open them with BS Player. This is a player which downloads you subtitles automatically in any language you set (if course, if there is any).

Cheers!

User: goanadupabitcoin
Shilling their website in 77 out 202 posts (38%), all reported.

User: Nea Sandu
Owner of goanadupabitcoin's site (user goanadupabitcoin being his alt account); shilling the same website in 24 posts out of 462 total posts (5%), all reported.
4138  Other / Meta / Re: Should this kind of disgusting posting behavior be allowed? on: April 16, 2020, 10:22:45 AM
@OP, as you are a Romanian and you understand the language: what do you think about goanadupabitcoin's hundreds of posts, which literally, in 99% of the posts adds a link to their website, spamming the forum for years?

How will you find also the accounts not linked to the original wallet?

If I'm not mistaking, the DT strength shows how many others support a fellow DT member and how many oppose to his / her presence in the DT group. If the user has a negative ratio, he is removed. If he is is DT1 and he has negative ratio, he is demoted to DT2 and so on.
