4121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 23, 2020, 09:08:05 PM
I think with Bautista's case though, it was too early for him to be put in the ring with the likes of Ponce de Leon that time. He as too green , inexperience. Yes, he was winning fights in the Philippines and knocking people out but Boom boom was rushed I believed in that fight. And after that lost he wasn't able to recover, the mental trauma for the kid was too much and we haven't heard from him after the devastating lost. Too much hype and he didn't live it up. But with MP's experienced  I think we may see another Filipino being a champion under MP's promotion in the future and be able to sustained it, not just like one hit wonder Pinoy fighters.

Bautista became popular (at least in the local boxing scene) because he is knocking out opponents early in his career and people fail to recognized the level of competition Bautista is having on that stage of his career. ALA was grooming him that time and i might say, they were cherry picking opponents for him thus he became a one-punch boy wonder Smiley. Bautista is lacking skill as a boxer, he is flat footed and doesn't move his head often during fights.

For me, Z Gorres was the best boxer ALA stable has ever produced but people almost does not appreciate his skills because they want a knock-out puncher type like Manny Pacquaio.

If I'm not mistaken that's not the first time he throw words on Inoue? Not a usual behavior of any PH boxer.

Still, the eagerness of making his "kababayan" proud is on high-level.

Yup, this is not the first time he threw some words on Inoue but seems he is promoting the fight just like what Mayweather, Thurman did, by trash talking  Smiley, but i know he can back it up with his punch come fight night.
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet? on: April 22, 2020, 10:30:23 PM
Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

I used to have this kind of problem in the past where i joined airdrops and bounties. Too many useless tokens that i can't able to see the ones that are legit. I don't want to transfer them to other wallets because it would entail cost for me to transfer those tokens. What i do is i used Trust ethereum wallet and used the "hide" option there, problem solve. Only those tokens which are useful are seen.
4123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 22, 2020, 09:30:07 PM
I think some boxers under ALA promotion have joined MP promotions as well.
It's not quite shocking tho. Hello, imagine you were promoted by a boxing legend like Pacman. That was an honor of course! And like what you've mentioned, maybe the main reasons why they switch to MP promotions is because of greater payments as well as broader opportunities. Not mentioning the fact that he is also a boxer thus he knew how to take care and understand the feelings of his fellow. It was also an advantage for them since Manny could give them tips and advice in and out of the ring Cheesy.

ALA Promotion is on a downstream right now. Many of it's boxers have switched to other promoters like the MP Promotion. Cost of staging a fight is a big factor why local boxing is on a lull. Back in the glory days of boxing here in Cebu, the older Aldueger (Antonio) have a different approach. He only trained boxers in his ALA stable while SSG promotions and Wakee Salud were doing the promotions of his boxers. With that, the cost of maintaining boxers is not so high. When his son take over. Michael Algueger have converted ALA boxing stable into ALA Promotions. That's the reason why we saw the Pinoy Pride series, they are in a partnership with ABS-CBN for tv coverage. I think it's the cost why they let go on their boxers and stop promoting boxing.

Ray Parks vows to put in work as he eyes Defensive Player of the Year award

I think he can't focus on his offense if he is focus on getting the defensive player award as it would consume a lot of energy and focus as well.
Ray Parks is a good scorer, and I think that's what TNT needs now as they don't have a a player that are consistent in attacking the inside and with Ray Parks athleticism, I think he can do that.

It's good to have a goal and i admire him for acknowledging that he is weak in that department. You solve 50% of the problem if you know what it is so i think Parks will work hard on this one, it can't be achieve overnight but at least he is working on it. They have a saying in basketball that "good offense will come with good defense", so i think he won't worry much on his point production.

IMHO, i think he should also do something about his attitude. He's too proud IMO.
4125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 20, 2020, 10:44:21 PM
But in terms of his contribution from this league, he don't need to prove anything more. His stardom was already been established with how he played the game and how he impressed the fans way back when he was still playing with the tropang texters.
We can all agree with that as we saw how big his contribution is, he is one of the players where you can rely that would bring a team a win.

Ranidel De Ocampo indeed contributed a lot to the PBA and of course to the TNT Katropa but it's just unfortunate that he never made it to the top recognition of the oldest league in Asia, the Most Valuable Player. Sad to note and wonder sometimes on whether the PBA is fair on choosing a player for that award. Nelson Asaytono, Jason Castro and RDO, those names are deserving for that award but never made it.

The profit is very small, but I am considering it doing for longterm so I think It's all good for now.
I will at least observe the movement for months and consider if I am gonna continue it or not.

~snip~
Yeah haha, the actual profit in BTC is really small, I check it sometimes last week and the BTC profit is quite changing, sometimes my profit at Yolodice is increasing and reach 50ksats-60ksats and I am surprised that it dumps today. But still, profit is profit haha, I will just keep my investment there as long as I didn't need a money.

In bustadice it's stable, the profit is slow but the dumping of profit is slow too, I think it's because I have more percentage of share at Yolodice, I am still waiting for yolodice to open their dilution fee cause it another factor of earning there as a bankroll investor  Grin

I can see in your post ^^ that you are now gaining profit with your investment bro, could you conclude not that indeed this kind of investment is profitable? Even if it is small but still it's a profit and in the long run it could accumulate. i'm getting interested on this one, your tips will surely push me to invest on this kind of business  Smiley.

Joshua Greer, Joseph Agbeko, and Ryo Akaho.

Do you know these guys?

I'm only familiar with Joseph Agbeko - former bantamweight champion as far as I can remember but I assume that he is already past his prime. Greer and Akaho? I never heard of him. So I wouldn't call them top class boxers.

Obviously, this is just a make busy fight for Casimero but I do hope that it won't derail his fight with Inoue though.

I could not forgot that name, Joseph Agbeko. He fought the cocky Vic Darchinyan back then for the bantamweight championship where Agbeko won that by majority decision. Yeah, he is way past his prime in boxing but a fight with Casimero won't be bad as this will only serve as a tune up fight for the later.

With the technology and knowing Japan on how discipline their people are, i do think that they could handle this situation very well and things would be back to normal in their country sooner than any country so i don't think that Inoue would be stuck there for long.
4128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 19, 2020, 10:04:56 PM

The fight is not pushing thru. They already postponed it. So I don't know what kind of discussion we will have here.

https://www.boxingnews24.com/2020/03/naoya-inoue-vs-john-riel-casimero-postponed-for-april-25-due-to-coronavirus/

I guess better lock this thread for the time being and just open it again once there is already a new schedule for the fight.

As what Finestream and Travelmug have said that there are also a lot of discussions in the NBA or other sports though they are also postponed but they did not lock the thread. I would also do the same, won't lock this thread for now as this is the only outlet for some to see updates of both fighters.
4129  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: April 19, 2020, 09:38:38 PM

It was a shock that the government assumed everybody in sitio Zapatera was infected with the virus - and now the assumption has spread to the entire barangay Luz. There are some frightening pictures coming out of that area, showing soldiers with machine guns and armored vehicles rolling down the streets. Guess they are trying to frighten everybody into submission or something.

City's health chief recommended at first that they will no longer do mass testing but later the mayor intervened and said that mass testing will continue. Hindi lang nga alam ng karamihan kung hanggang kailan yong mass testing since test kits are very limited.

Yeah, you are right, that mobile tanks were there to frighten the residents of sitio Zapatera but it's a failure. It's been used as props to selfies of some individuals there.

Where I am, I think the government is doing a good job of enforcing ECQ and keeping people at home. When anybody goes outside, they always wear a mask. Not sure if they could do a much better job. The mayor of Lapu-Lapu said something about ending ECQ ahead of schedule, but I don't think that is likely to happen. Hopefully April 28th as originally planned.

I'm also living in LLC and the mayor here is declaring a total lock down of sort kasi nga ang dami pa ring sasakyang lumabas. He is closing the two bridges from non-LLC residents. I totally agree with the mayor on this one, he should have done this weeks ago.

The irony of it all, balik trabaho na ako  Smiley. Nakakuha kasi yong company namin ng exemption from the lock down lol.
4130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 19, 2020, 09:05:46 PM
I'm sorry but we are not in haven and casino workers are not angels. they have their own problems and ofc they need the salary. like everyone in the world they have family, friends and kids to feed them. while you expect them to don't ask for salary how they must eat? and how they must live? This a task for every government to support people.

This really boils down to the capability of each country to provide the basic necessity to it's citizen. Per experience, here in our place the government  declares that they will only help the poorest of the poor since we have limited funds and they are also calling all of the elites to help in their own way. While i saw a vlog in the UK, the vlogger which is an employee of a university, he said that their government is refunding 80% of their salary while they are on a shutdown. Bottom line, help from the government is mandatory but varies on the capabilities also of that government. There are rich government while many also are poor.

Thank you  "RDO" for your contribution inside PBA, one of the simplest player, the version of big tree of TNT (Alapag, RDO, Castro)

Yeah, I miss this one, when these 3 plays together in the floor, they are very effective.
RDO is not a kind of a strong and a fast player but his intelligence in the court is very impressive.

I just search in YT and found his top 10 plays.
I'd like to share - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S51IqOzA_fY

MVP will Honor ROD in a special ceremony.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/meralco-mvp-group-to-honor-ranidel-de-ocampo-in-special-ceremony-a793-20200416?ref=feed_1_section

He deserve to be honored as he contribute a lot to the success of the TNT.
I only started watching him when he was already playing with the TNT, I don't know what team he played before but I guess he was noticed more being a TNT.

He was drafted by FedEx Express back in 2004 (fourth over-all) and played there for 4 years if i'm not mistaken. He was traded to TNT in exchange with Allado. His career blossomed with the MVP group of companies, particularly in the TNT team.

Basketball is so simple with this guy. He and Castro played good basketball together with TNT, it's just unfortunate that SMC companies always win the battle with MVP.

It's more than a month na pala na last active si OP.

4135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: April 17, 2020, 11:22:15 PM
However, in the Fury fight, he was very light and Tyson is very skilled and technical and added that power in his punches that Wilder can't negate with his one punch.
Tyson was really skilled, but if he only hit Fury, that fight could have a different outcome, the good thing about Fury is even though he is a big ma, he is fast as well, his head movement is very good so that really confuse Wilder as he is just looking for that one punch.

In the first fight, we saw that Wilder were able to drop Fury, so there is really a power, but in the 2nd fight, Fury did improve and avoided getting him while start to be aggressive and that surprise Wilder.

If not for the knock down, I think Fury could have won that fight, so it is a big equaliser and I would say that it was a lucky punch. But it also shows how big Fury's heart was, he was able to get up and finished the fight. They have adjusted on the second and obviously, he took Wilder's soul in the rematch, Lol.

And Fury did that big time  Grin, the act of Fury licking that blood on Wilder's ear was a bloody cruel act. That day really belong to Fury.

With the sentiment of the users here where Fury is the huge favorite on the trilogy, i am now contemplating on betting against the public. With a small of crypto and betting for Wilder and win huge is worth a try. It's a hill climb for Wilder and that possibility is so slim but still possible lol.
4136  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: April 17, 2020, 10:06:34 PM
I was expecting someone to post yung sinabi ni Pres Duterte.

'Parang martial law': Duterte warns troops to take over if Filipinos break quarantine

Quote
'I am just asking for your disiplina, kasi 'pag ayaw ninyong maniwala, mag-take over ang military at police.... Parang martial law na rin. Mamili kayo,' says a disgruntled President Rodrigo Duterte

https://www.rappler.com/nation/258174-parang-martial-law-duterte-warns-troops-takeover-filipinos-break-quarantine

I expect this to happen very soon dahil ang titigas ng ulo ng ilan natin kababayan.

Napakalungkot nito ngunit kailangan itong harapin ng LGU ng Cebu and hoping they will manage this crisis well.

4137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: April 17, 2020, 09:49:21 PM
I highly doubt that the government of Japan will allow the boxing match in Tokyo. As per https://covid19japan.com/, Tokyo has the highest cases of Covid-19, so it's not likely that they will simply go there as venue alternative.

Besides, I also don't think that Arum will allow that fight to happen in Japan, we all know how Arum works, its all about how big Top Rank can milk this fight. I guess it is Inoue statement alone and not representing Top Rank, perhaps he just blurted it out of frustration because he is eager to go fight the best version of Casimero at this point.

Aside from that, the entire Japan is being put under a state of emergency. This is in place until May 6. In line with this, the government is urging people to remain in their homes. So I guess this match will be put off indefinitely pending the stability of the situation. After all, both Japan and the US are suffering from the blow dealt by COVID-19.

Looks like you guys got mislead. Inoue's thought of relocation is obviously will not take place while the whole world is currently dealing with the pandemic virus.

Of course, it should be after and not today. Since Vegas got hit by damage, the fight might not take place there immediately once the virus is manageable. So for an alternative, Inoue thought it might be better in Japan.

Although I agree that Top Rank will always consider a bigger market but I'm sure they are considering relocating for the fight to push through. Maybe on the other US States that not got heavily affected. These people are business experts and looking at all sides before executing. Again, not today.

Like what you have said bro, relocating the fight in Japan is only Inoue's presumption and TOP RANK has nothing to do with that statement of him. I have a feeling that Inoue is hesitant to fight outside of Japan with him releasing that statement lol.

Anyways, IMHO Top Rank would do it's best to present Inoue to a bigger market which is in Las Vegas and they will do it after this pandemic is over of course.
4138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 16, 2020, 09:50:58 PM
I've seen so many companies like this, that they value much more the money than their employees, which is pretty ironic. First of, they can't make money that much without their employees, therefore they must treat them as a family, if they want their business to grow more. The problem about rich people is that they don't care anymore about other people, hence, they only care for their selves and money.

The sad truth is, even in situation like this, they always think about their money, how would they grow it even more. They're not thinking that if this pandemic continue to spread even more, they will also get infected and die, guess what, their money won't save them, they can't also take it to their funeral.

It may not be all companies are like on what you are portraying but with my experience, my company is one of those company that is hesitant to extend help to it's employees. Casinos and all other companies are not different during this time of crisis, they are all affected. As i've said on my previous post that it companies would help their employees, this would make them more loyal to them and would help them recover the loses they incurred once this pandemic is over. We all know that this is the government's responsibility but knowing the extent of the problem, the government can't do it alone specially in the developing countries.

It could that he/she is a millionaire now.

My bet is on Inoue. He’s a very good fighter, his techniques are outstanding. And with a record with 19 wins, it’s hard not to like him.

You are right, it's not hard to like him to win this fight and in fact he is the top dog here. Styles makes a fight as they say and i think that Casimero has that fighting style to beat Inoue here.
