4121  Economy / Gambling / Re: TheBet.In - New Way of Bitcoin Gambing on: October 28, 2016, 05:20:33 PM
Your site looks pretty good and it's an interesting concept, but I would have made another account for this announcement.
It looks really bad when a user posts his gambling site when he has red trust, even if it's not from scamming someone.
4122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is safest, cheapest, fastest trading site to transfer BTC to $ and to bank? on: October 28, 2016, 05:17:30 PM
You will basically get different answers from everybody, but I personally really like trading through Kraken, not sure it's good to use them if you're from the US though.

They've been around for pretty long, so they're pretty trusted.
4123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best way to buy Bitcoin ? on: October 28, 2016, 05:15:21 PM
It all depends on what you value the most.

Do you want to buy Bitcoins fast, like just pay and receive Bitcoin? I'd recommend Paxful or anycoin.eu

If you don't mind to wait and want to pay less fees, I'd use an exchange. I personally use Kraken.
4124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: October 28, 2016, 05:09:58 PM
Well, I have yet to encounter a situation where the confirmation times mattered because I haven't actually seen/used a physical shop where they accept bitcoin as payment, so for me, the confirmation times doesn't really matter yet.

BUt, when/if I can finally use bitcoin in everyday transactions offline, then the confirmation times really matters. It would also help if third party apps aren't needed just to speed things up,coz those always come with additional fees as well as an extra step or two. If it was a large/expensive transaction then the time wouldn't matter, but for ordinary ones, well, having to wait 5 - 20 mins for the confirmations is a huge hassle. Hope it can somehow be shortened like paying through credit cards if not fiat. (lol.)
Confirmation times can also matter for online transactions.
When I sell Bitcoins through Bitonic.nl (Only for Belgium and Netherlands), I basically have a 30 minute window to get one confirmation, or the transaction gets cancelled and they send back the Bitcoins after it has finally confirmed.
So that's a huge pain in the ass if that happens.
4125  Economy / Gambling / Re: is freebitco.in or freedogeco.in worth my time? on: October 28, 2016, 05:04:56 PM
This is basically the only faucet I use from time to time, just a fun game and I've actually won something after playing dice with the faucet claims.
Never deposited anything though...
4126  Economy / Gambling / Re: New in Gambling, Need Help! on: October 28, 2016, 05:00:43 PM
I would look for a site that's provably fair, but you could also lose with that, you just know that they aren't cheating.
Crypto-Games is a pretty decent dice site with also a number of other games like: Slots, roulette, lotto, blackjack and dice

Another site I like to play on is Bitcoinvideocasino, they have really high progressive jackpots on each of their games, so check them out too.
4127  Economy / Gambling / Re: **** MOST FAKE GAME YABTCL.COM ****** on: October 28, 2016, 04:57:55 PM
It's not because you suddenly start losing that the game is fake.
It's possible, but I haven't seen many complaints about it, is this provably fair?
4128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be blocked too by the government or isp ?? on: October 28, 2016, 04:55:21 PM
its impossible to prepare for every situation .
So you just shouldn't care, is that what you are saying? Yeah you can't prepare for anything, but you can certainly prepare for the most likely and unlikely situations to happen.
4129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Business To Create? on: October 28, 2016, 04:51:10 PM
I'm not thinking of any specific business or anything, I just hope that there will be more open source apps that will include Bitcoin in some way.

Thinking of decentralized markets, like Openbazaar or decentralized exchanges, like Bitsquare.
These already exist, but I just hope that they will be used by the masses one day.
4130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Title Registration a Valid Use Case of Blockchain? on: October 28, 2016, 04:48:02 PM

in short. using the blockchain as a title registration is not enough. especially with naive users and backhand payoffs are involved. it then requires humans/businesses to analyse and authenticate claims. which brings the whole system back on itself needing regulated registration departments to be involved.

Aside from if Bitcoin itself is suited for registration of any claims, it seems to me,  that you'd also need to verify the claim by a notary for example.
Or are there some other ways to verify claims, like title registration?

Would it be smart to use Bitcoin for that? Given that it's possible for Bitcoin to lose value and miners to stop mining, thus stopping that entire use for it.
4131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another exchange goes bust. Bitcurrex loses ~2300 BTC on: October 28, 2016, 04:38:13 PM
It is time for decentralized exchanges to take the forefront.....  the whole exchange scam has become such a load of rubbish.
Not enough demand in the decentralized exchange site are made the people are not interested with it, they just think about how to gain money and money not careful about the security of the system, please correct me if I'm wrong.
There already is an open source decentralized exchange, check out https://bitsquare.io/
Plus, I don't think there has to be specific demand for this, the functionality should be the same as any other exchange, so all it needs it promotion by word of mouth and people making money on it.

And it's strange that Bitcurrex kept this hidden for so long, just makes everything seem all the more suspicious.
Luckily it's just a small exchange, but still bad publicity for Bitcoin.

I personally just hope this never happens with Poloniex, it's the only exchange I use and even then, I don't keep a lot of funds on it.
But I can imagine that professional traders often don't really have a choice and just have to hold a lot of funds on exchanges.
4132  Economy / Gambling / Re: POTLUCKGAME.COM Multiplayer Bitcoin game LAUNCHED!! on: October 28, 2016, 02:36:52 PM
What about if there is only one player? So your bet will be refund or it stay until someone place a new bet? And btw i only saw 3 people online on your site? Does this thing will really affect on your play? And how much is the max bet for each and the max payout?

And is there any fee after each bet done? May be for you guys because i saw that you saying about giving every pot to the winner here
This is answerred in the OP:
Quote
It is the server bot that will play with you if you are the only participant in the game. singSling will always match your bets (so the game remains provably fair)

The website looks pretty good, but you might want to add a logo that you can use a favicon Wink
4133  Economy / Gambling / Re: GGFANTASY.COM - bitcoin DAILY FANTASY SPORTS | Free and GPP soccer contests! on: October 28, 2016, 02:31:36 PM
I have been participating in your contests since you first launched the service but unfortunately there aren't many people playing. The idea of offering fantasy soccer playable with Bitcoin is great but it seems you need to make your website more popular to attract more customers.
I hope there will be more leagues available for this weekend.

Regards.
That's the thing that withholding me from playing, I really love the concept and I'm a big fan of other football manager games, but they just aren't too fun when there are not a lot of players.

How many players are online at any given time for example?
4134  Economy / Economics / Re: So I made some calculations today on: October 28, 2016, 02:27:35 PM
+1

Bitcoin need at least 10-20 years to come into mainstream. Price should be +$20,000. But we'll see.

We will not have to wait that long. Things are developing very fast these days and if Bitcoin will become mainstream like other currencies that will happen much sooner, 5-7 years at most.
Altgough I'm not sure about the price, it seems a bit too excessive. It will go up a lot with time, that I agree. Still, that much....But like you've said we'll see.
Yeah speculation about price is pretty pointless to say the least, but I can agree that everything surrounding Bitcoin is going pretty good and fast.
Just the fact that only recently, Steam has adopted Bitcoin is pretty good news and I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon would offer Bitcoin support in the next couple of years.
4135  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: October 28, 2016, 02:21:04 PM
The frustrating issue about bitcoin is how many people do not understand this about bitcoin and push for regulation. We either have a mass that are dumber than I expected or we have a lot of effective fud going on here that is misleading folks into wanting a ruling syndicate over bitcoin. So which is it?
SInce Bitcoin isn't owned or really governed by any centralized entity, this is pretty normal that different people have different ideas on regulations regarding Bitcoin.
4136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount to start as a trader? on: October 28, 2016, 02:19:05 PM
What is the minimum amount to start as a trader?
in my opinion there is only need of 0.01btc to start your trading ( if you are sharp minded ) .
but if your trading stretgy is not good then even 1 btc will seems to low for trading .

I would  complete disagree with this, even  how  much  money do you have, it doesnt mean   it would  depend  on your  knowledge  on doing trading. As  you mentioned  if    your not  good  on trading  you would need  1 btc for it? Then  you are letting   yourself  to  lose  money   though. Small amounts would  still do  since you could able to analyze   your   mistakes  and   its not necessary to  put   up 1 btc  just for learning  purposes. Its such a waste.

The minimum is "zero"
Yes here:
http://u2cloudmining.winspiral.net
you can start with "zero" as a trader because all is now absolutly for free.
And the specificity of this genious (lol) system is that you can only earn...earn more or earn less...but never lose.

Yes this free system does exist and I'm proud to offer it to people who want only earn...and never lose.

Of course you can do both:
you can earn by winspiral and lose your earning on other places...once you have earned you do with your earning what you want (lol)
What is this even? The website looks so unprofessional and after reading the description on the page itself, I still have no idea what it's all about.
There doesn't even seem to be any functionality to it. Or is is like a faucet or something?
4137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multiply my btc on: October 28, 2016, 01:40:42 PM
Hello

I am happy (or not) the possessor of 0.03 btc (so what? We're not all rich) and I want to do the work quickly

I went to see on poloniex but the loan rate is too low to hope to multiply a small amount and I'm afraid of trading because I do not want to lose everything.

Also I looked at the mining sites but its no longer pertains.

If someone has advice or references I'm interested

Thank you

_talmidiel_

So... you want a low risk high yield investment?  In other words, impossible.
Either risk it trading (do a lot of prior research) or don't risk it and hold, or invest in things like poloniex lending.
Yeah, sounds a bit contradictory indeed.
But trading on Poloniex after doing some research shouldn't be too risky in the sense that you probably wouldn't lose *everything*.

And you'd have a chance of doubling of tripling your investment, making a small profit or loss is more likely though.
4138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage trading ? on: October 28, 2016, 01:34:09 PM
Hello everybody,

I'm making some research about how to do bitcoin arbitrage trading.

My main problem is not the time to deposit fiat money, but the time to send bitcoin to the other exchange.
So my question is : how I can sell immediately btc I just bought, to the other exchange who offers a bigger price ?
I have heard about API but I don't exactly if it's instant by using it or not.
For example, I would like to buy to Bitstamp and sell to Kraken.

Thank you ! Smiley

you still waiting for the confirmation and after your balance is show up into other exchange, then you can directly sell your bitcoin. i think its need too long for waiting the confirmation but you can try to fill your curiousity.
Yes, you'd always have to take confirmations into account, but adding a higher fee (if that's even possible on exchanges) would confirm the transaction faster.

You could also look into buying an arbitrage bot, which would be more efficient in general.
4139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good analogy for Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2016, 11:20:49 AM
I've found an interesting blog post, Bitcoin by analogy.
It's quite a lengthy text, so not very useful for explaining Bitcoin to people on the spot, but I've enjoyed reading it and it's a pretty good analogy.

4140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make an ESCROW? on: October 21, 2016, 08:30:54 PM
It's also important to not that you shouldn't be trying to gain trust, just for the sake of gaining trust.
It should be done through real transactions and not by building trust in a short amount of time.

It is important to have escorw in trade buddy. Because why I am saying this is, I got cheated by one idiot in this forum. When had the lbc account trade. He just changed all information after logged and he doesn't send me payment.
Uhm, I'm not talking about using escrow when trading on this forum, that's just a given... Ofc you should use escrow.
I was talking about becoming an escrow, two totally different things there...
