is 0.8.7 the last version of the wallet?

i have some problem with the sync...it stay 7 hour behind and don't move Sad
asd - my wallet synchronized in the past few minutes and is current.  It indicates there are 11 active connections to the network now.

If you're not yet synchronized (or still stuck on 7 or 11 hours behind) and are on the Windows wallet, check your appdata/roaming folder for a catcoin.conf file.

windows button - search for %appdata% - click Roaming to open a file manager at that location
Click into the Catcoin folder
check for catcoin.conf file.

If you don't have one, open Notepad and past this text in:

Code:
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=userpassword
server=1
daemon=1
testnet=0
listen=1
addnode=eu.coinium.org:9933
addnode=us.coinium.org:9933
addnode=teamcatcoin.com:9933
addnode=108.54.144.63:9933
addnode=209.162.15.139:9933
addnode=94.134.24.71:9933
addnode=188.230.218.60:9933
addnode=123.211.181.88:9933
addnode=172.245.21.138:9933
addnode=50.162.94.94:9933
rpcport=7000
rpcallowip=192.168.*.*

Then save as catcoin.conf and move it into your (name)\AppData\Roaming\Catcoin folder.

Restart your wallet and it should find a node and update within a few minutes.

Yell if it works but especially if it doesn't. Wink

Andy

thx for the reply!

and thanks @zerodrama too.

when i'll come home i'll try!

It's strange, I'm back to seeing a trickle of .3 at a time, after a day of 5 found blocks when I got the new card.
I'm running poolmining off at a hash rate of 800 mh/s.
How's the block solving going for other folks? Smiley

ahhh finally someone whose mining in pool!

can you write some stats? You have found 5 blocks in a day, now you're keep mining in pool? how many coins you make at day?
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: January 17, 2014, 09:22:53 AM
finally i started mining..

but i still have some concerns.

My Boinc Utilization is only at 52   normally it should be near 100 right?  My CPU is working on 100%

The Boing KHps  shows  0 too..

Do i really mining to get a reward/gridcoins?

How do i know when i solve a block?

Help would be highly appreciated :-)

if i understood right, you will get Boinc Utilization at 100% when you have > than 1000 boinc average daily points.

when you solve a block, you'll get a payout! you'll notice it for sure!

can anyone suggest me a good pool?

See my previous post

and dont forget these pools, these are two of the best steady mining pool :

http://usde.poolerino.com

and

 http://usde.steadymining.com

For newer miners still learning how this coin works - don't throw all of your hash power to only 1 pool.  This coin has different bonuses that can really add up quick.  By spreading your workers out over multiple pools you increase your chances of getting a piece of the massive 50K & 100K blocks.  There are also 20K, 10K and 5K blocks.  Do yourself a favor and give yourself the best opportunity to get your piece.

Personally, I throw my fastest worker @ poolerino.  Mike is a good operator and there's 0% fee Wink

i can spread my workers even if i had only a videocard?

And what about solomining? is it still possibile with 500kh/s?

I'm sorry, i've one more question about pool mining.

if i mine in pool, i'll start to get payed when i'll find my first block, and, i'll keep get payed even if i quit mining for a few day after that.
But what happen if i find a block mining in pool and then keep mining in pool without find any other block, for, don't know, 15 o more days..? Will i keep have payouts?

4129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: January 16, 2014, 04:24:12 PM
The price of Catcoin keeps dropping. We seriously need to do something about that.

STOP sell!

New Version Available:

1.1.5.3/64: Upgrade from RPC : Yes

* This is a prerequisite to CPUMining.  It adds some security * Added Scrypt Sleep/Leaderboard position to the mining console.

All the best,
Grid

I have a question about cpu mining. If i use my cpu for gridcoin, how can i use my cpu for boinc? And..if i can't use my cpu for boinc, how can have a great value of daily average boinc points?

Hi Asdlolciterquit,
For CPU Only (boinc) mining, we put the entire onus on the official boinc project to track the total cobblestones, and we put the 3rd party API check onus on a random GPU user; so your cpu is 100% available to boinc.

Good luck,
P. Keys

thx!

so, to have 150coins for block, we can have only gridcoin project on boinc??

Price is low, real price in near future for this coin should be at least 20$ per coin

near? uhm.. 20$ is very high!
4132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining on: January 16, 2014, 01:05:48 PM
thx for the reply.

How many quarks at day i gain with about 45kh/s? (i've an old cpu.. Sad )
Perhaps 1 or 2, with a good pool..

How about mining Particle or Molecules, that's the same algorithm.. If lucky you might be able to trade them in for more Quarks later when they hit the exchange. That's been my strategy so far; Everything goes to Quark in the end, but from different ways as mining directly is way too hard.

can you send me a link for this other coins you suggested me? (Particle or Molecules)
Thx for the info!

Hi, i've two question:
1)how much is the diff of the network rightnow?
2)with 500kh/s of hashrate, how many coins i get in one day mining in a pool?
1. Dif - 8.61899502
2. ~1.175 eTok/day.

At this rate this coin will die soon, iam very sorry to have to say so. The answer to question 2 is not 1.175 but around 0.4. This is becouse blocks are found every 6 min instead of 2.

My rig is 1.4 MHz

I mine in 4 hours and get ~0.5 eTOK, so in 24h I get 0.5*6 = 3 eTOK. So, with 500khs, you will have 3*5/14~1.07 eTOK

uhm...a little better!

I know I can. ask chris if he can.  http://usde.hackshard.com online and operational. ready to rock and roll. 3 people currently including me and my advertising manager.

Hackshard is a great pool! Had a flawless experience with them for another coin. BTC0.02

Thank you very much for your kind words.  I am extremely glad to see a few friendly faces still out there.

Hi, i've two question:
1)how much is the diff of the network rightnow?
2)with 500kh/s of hashrate, how many coins i get in one day mining in a pool?

According to my pool (which is set for 1000 per block. see page 1 for block rewards) I estimate 4326.07 coins per day.  NOTE this is only true if every single block earned is 1k.  Every block # 5 pays 5k so it will mostlikely be alot more then just 4326 per day!

thanks for the info.
where can i find a "value" of USDe?

New Version Available:

1.1.5.3/64: Upgrade from RPC : Yes

* This is a prerequisite to CPUMining.  It adds some security features to the chain to enable the 3rd party API verification of CPUMiners work by GPU miners.
We currently still only pay .02grc per CPUMiner (as we do not want to break anyone).  We need 51% to upgrade to this version before we can release CPUMining permanently Smiley.
* Fixed the small monitor bug.
* Added support for local culture percent sign formatting (required in Germany for the leaderboard to work correctly).
* Fixed a leaderboard error.
* Added Scrypt Sleep/Leaderboard position to the mining console.

All the best,
Grid
