6635869272840226493 Thanks Piece of shit fraudster scum bag. Its people like you who are ruining this opportunity for everyone else. Do you have any idea how much work it is to read through everyone's message history, just so that i can protect them from scumbags like you? What you are doing is fraud. I hope you at least feel some shame when you look at yourself in the mirror. Lol, Im so confused -_- I wouldn't even have seen this if you didn't message me as well. I have no idea what just happened. Am I being mistaken for someone else? press control-f paste this address in 6635869272840226493 and press enter a couple of times. Wow! 9,298,574 NXT - He should be the one doing a giveaway and share those huge amount of NXT to everybody. @garicup you are a GREEDY man! yep i sent him a pm asking for a donation .

All right all right the guy has a point.... but then he wrote soory had your chance I will go to the first that delivers me something and as of now NXT is far away from delivering something usefull for the common people.
Yeah................... as if Bitcoin is any different........ even 5 years later........... Not to defend that troll who makes really bad arguments but bitcoin has made doing business over the internet much easier than it used to be for me atleast. The blockchain android app hit the ball out of the park. It's so much easier, cheaper and safer to pay for things using that app than it is with a credit card. And not having to worry about charge-backs when I sell something is huge.

REGARDING NXT CLIENT EXPLOIT
Be sure to check the sha256 hash of your download with the official sha256 hash of NRS from Come-from-Beyond. On the main page, I only list the sha256 hash of the official NRS version from Come-from-Beyond. MAKE SURE THE SHA256 HASH OF YOUR DOWNLOAD MATCHES! Even if you download it from the link I provide on the main page, CHECK THE HASH TO MAKE SURE IT MATCHES! Download links can be compromised! BE CAREFUL!
All links to download NRS should point to Come-from-Beyond's post on Bitcointalk.org. Having separate locations hosting the client is a bad idea. Too many people then have access to modify the download link. Please make sure to delete all references to other NRS downloads from the website, nxtcrypto.org, the forums and the wiki.
To determine which NRS version contains the exploit, you need to run the sha256 hash of the download and compare it to the official sha256 hash I have listed in the first post. Please, do this and report your findings to the community. THIS IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE!
On linux the command to check the sha256 hash is:
sha256sum 'path_to_NRS_download'
And EVERYBODY needs to create COMPLETELY NEW ACCOUNTS with NEW PASSWORDS. Because your old one *might* have been compromised. I myself can't remember whether I used the wrong client, so I created a new account and moved my funds - JUST TO BE SURE. EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS. 2nd I am pretty sure that I never used the bad client but I did this also just to be 100% safe. It is good advise.

can anyone else see account # 14592641999125872769 on the explorer? if you search 408269093319763437 you will see the transaction that i used to send coins to it. But just an error when i try to look up the account.

By the way, I just checked and Drexme was last online here two hours ago. There is a good chance he will try to cash in tonight if he read this thread now that we are on, to him...
And just how many accounts is he gonna plunder, I wonder? This is gonna get really, really bad... I will be the first to ask the question "Do we wanna stop the blockchain and roll it back?" At this point, I don't think there are more than a few cases. The thief will certainly take the fund right when he gets the pass. We have two reported cases so far. It is important to locate the source of the bogus link. 1. What about that guy who lost 250k of coins? Total is about 300K, there are many reports on nextcoin.org forum. 2. Already located. 1. Can you give me the link to 250k loss case. 2. We still don't know where it was posted. Nextcoin or nxtcrypto or where ? I would support a roll-back if that much money involved. the problem here is that a rollback may cause even more loss because plenty of btc nxt trades would have happened and no one is rolling back the btc blockchain for us

some promises to future: 1) earthcoin (because fast transactions + marketing - marketing is not important for geeks but the most important for business) 2) scrypt-jane coins in general (hard to say which one wil succeed, quickquickcoin maybe, but its name should be better, velocitycoin - the same problem) - because if there will be ASIC for scrypt, updating to scrypt-jane to fuck off ASIC owners will be necessary + scrypt-jane coins are very fast
hating and wishing the worst: NXT (no mining, buying coins = pure amway scheme to promote it only because you have money in but the real profit is making the owner of network, not you)
anyone who wanted could have helped to kickstart the project and no one owns the network.

look at it this way. there may be room in the market for one copycoin so lets add litecoin to the list because thats the clear contender. Next you need to ask, which one is not like the others? so then we have:
Litecoin Ripple Peercoin Mastercoin NXT ProtoShares
the others are just noise, they have no fundamental value, ignore them unless you think that you can profit from trading technical

if you just reduce the cost of forging down to ~0 than the low incentive wont matter. thats the point im trying to make. of course this can only come with time as third party developers make better client applications but this is what we should be focusing on. not pooled mining.
Good idea. As I wrote on Twitter, Pooled Forging may be added, not is being added. good to hear. i think pools are a big weakness in bitcoin and the absence of them in nxt will be one of the key arguments in the case for why nxt is the next generation crypto. And the beauty of forging instead of mining is that at some point in the future, with the right apps/hardware devices reducing the barriers to entry to forging to ~0, we could end up with ~100% participation rate even without pools. This is a HUGE selling point because pools kill decentralization.

I think this is the wrong way. what we need are clients that fore seamlessly, so even though the chance of winning will be minuscule, there will no no cost to forging, no barrier to entry so people will do it anyway. People pay to play the lottery now don't they? This lottery would be free to play, i think there is definitely some appeal there for users.
BCNext was forced to offer such the way coz small stakeholders won't bother with forging due to very high variation. Less coins forge - cheaper attacks. if you just reduce the cost of forging down to ~0 than the low incentive wont matter. thats the point im trying to make. of course this can only come with time as third party developers make better client applications but this is what we should be focusing on. not pooled mining.

Pooled Forging details
A special type of transactions will be used to lease part or all forging power to one or several accounts. These accounts will sign blocks and decide what transactions to include into them. Fees will go to leasee accounts, not to leasors. This may lead to centralization (similar to Bitcoin) so leasor accounts r not advised to lease more than 50% of their effective* balance. Splitting 100% effective balance among different leasee accounts won't work coz of Sybil attack.
Comment plz.
--- * - Effective balance == balance that used for forging
I think this is the wrong way. what we need are clients that fore seamlessly, so even though the chance of winning will be minuscule, there will no no cost to forging, no barrier to entry so people will do it anyway. Just a password to send....The function can be optional.
Nxt is decentralized, u can ask the password million times but it won't make ur account more secure if u use a weak master password. For the record, I hereby vote for implementing an optional 2 factor authorization scheme via cellphone SMS as soon as possible. All in favor, say aye? that doesn't make any sense. there is no "nxt company" to receive the text message.
