15182566201738727933  contains 18665 NXT taken from plasticAiredale's    8439060069775407509

Is anyone going to use Arbitrary Messages within next 2 weeks? It seems to me that without a client that supports this feature we don't need AM.

I realy do respect your work sir, but without a client you better stop loosing your time here.

No one will bother using API strings etc... no client = no product.

and yes eMunie is a finished product that will blow all your efforts away just becaus you will always be second!

LOL at that stupid attempt to emulate stable currency. Nothing to talk about. Really .

Indeed, eMunie is just a digital fiat, why bother even trying it, could as well stick with paypal.

I'm way off.
...
What should I do to get this thing back on track?

Shut down client then restart and wait a few for it to sync.  You might have to do this a couple times if you don't reconnect to the correct chain.  Having more peers in wellKnownPeers will help keep you on correct chain.
I'm a little new to this Java client... How do I shut it down?
ctrl+c or task manager
As in close my browser? I'm on a mac. I've tried ctrl + reload and that does not work Sad

So for this has been a utter joke. Alpha status at start. Client hacked no trustworthy d/l available. Main dev off to make his own coin at some point in future. ah comon what is this shit?

So basicly NXT has nothing. Angry

nothing at all, not even within on month you talk about more then five weaks! In the meantime eMunie is launched and there r others starting as well.

this is a major set back and I shall have to review my investment. I am not a DEV I want results and no delays;

NXT had a good chance to make it but lost it here.

Call me troll.

We shal see if you can sell your webpage with four icons, coz that is all you have.

Do you realy think people wil bother making .bat files, and using commands and API, forget it people will never adopt it. Its over and out. You all should have took the chance while you've got it but oooh no...

In this hard business there is only one place that counts and that ia number 1.

knowing you will still have nothing next mont eMunie (propre finished product and featuresà is the winner and there is no place for second

You are making quite a lot of wrong assumptions, it seems.

1. You assume that the unveiling of the source code tomorrow is a "launch" of Nxt. It's not. It's the giving out of the source code. A special moment, yes, but not "the start of Nxt".
Nxt is an ongoing project and not some kind of big company that goes "live". Nxt has been live for over a month.

2. You assume that alpha tools are the final product. You haven't seen the final client. Yes, there will be one. And will be userfriendly.

3. You are assuming, or so it seems, that people are not aware that there are problems. And obviously that you are there to point them out for us. Look at 666 pages of factfinding, problemsolving pages right here, mate. Work in progress.

4. You assume that you are right.

5) You sir, you have no clue...

And when we (investors) have don selling this webpage with four icons is worth 0.0000001

Development is one thing, having a product for mass adoption is another you all have zilth,0

LAUNCH yes launch was 3th of januari, shame on the birthday of 5 year bitcoin. The idea was genius, but putting it toghetter a disaster, how can anyone start something pure code without a client...

soory had your chance I will go to the first that delivers me something and as of now NXT is far away from delivering something usefull for the common people.

It is not a good strategy to put the success or failure of a 100 million usd project in the hands of one person... If nextern can't deliver the client for whatever reason, there is no chance for a mass adoption. And the other projects are also developing. Like the asset exchange for btc announced today.

Btw, I am currently developing a closed-source Windows client. Right now, I am working on the blockchain explorer part, since this is what I want personally, but eventually it will have all mainstream features like seen in the web client. It might not be the silver bullet, but it might suit some. I will post when I have something to show and download.

I would really like to see others starting developement of other clients and less nexern bashing.

Why not open source and get some help from other coders?

I'm coding in Delphi, because this is what I did for years, so I'm good at it and I use commercial 3rd party components, so I can't distribute the complete source code anyway and anyone who would want to compile the source would need to spend roundabout 2000 US$ on these components.

The browser is separate; it's just an interface -- just like your browser is seperate and just an interface to the bitcointalk forums.

You need to shut down the java process.  I'm not on a Mac so I don't know how you'd do it exactly.

Are you using the NXT for Mac package?  Could you point me to the download link of what you're using?  I make no promises, but I'll take a look at it if you point the way.

Not to defend that troll who makes really bad arguments but bitcoin has made doing business over the internet much easier than it used to be for me atleast. The blockchain android app hit the ball out of the park. It's so much easier, cheaper and safer to pay for things using that app than it is with a credit card. And not having to worry about charge-backs when I sell something is huge.
