4121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 09, 2019, 10:33:12 PM
Just curious here.
I know there are tons of way to live.

but is there such a thing as professional gamblers?

people who make a living onlyout of gambling (online or on rl)?

resources and comments on that are really welcome.
Just my two cents over here. People who consider them selves as a professional gambler were/are already rich before they even started to gamble. Most of the people can afford to lose because of their vast wealth. I have heard stories about rich people becoming poor due to gambling and making some regrettable mistakes.
Most of the gamblers have a main business that gives them steady flow of money. I doubt there are any people who would risks themselves financially each and every day.
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Bounty. Why do it? on: August 09, 2019, 10:28:44 PM
Why do some projects require KYC for bounty?  Is this a legal thing or is it a way to make sure they are not being scammed by bounty huntrs?  Are there jurisdictions which would require bounty to have KYC?  This is not a token sale after all.
They usually ask for KYC form filling in order to avoid people abusing their program. This help the project to remove users that use multiple account to join their bounty hunting program. This is about a legit project I am taking about. Project that in the market with an intention to scam people asks for KYC so that they can make more profit by selling your information to other people! That is why it is best to avoid any programs that asks for KYC.
4123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sats rather than Bitcoin - will it cause a price pump? on: August 09, 2019, 10:24:52 PM
As Bitcoin increases in value, I'm noticing that a few people are quoting prices in Sats rather than Bitcoin. One US dollar is currently worth about 9,400 Sats, and if Bitcoin continues to increase, fractional prices will start to become an inconvenience. Share prices often increase when there is a share split, and the use of Sats rather than Bitcoin is very much like a share split. Do you think that this will increase the appeal of Bitcoin, and thus increase the price?

Maybe the long term investors amongst us should encourage the use of "Satoshis", or the more affectionate "Sats". Smiley
Ok, I understand what you are trying to say. The value of bitcoin is too high so when talking about smaller value, instead of saying BTC we can use satoshi. But how the hell is this going to cause a price pump? You think people will start buying more just because we now call smaller/fractional coins satoshi? We have been using the terms satoshi, mBTC and μBTC ( microbtc rarely used though) from the very beginning. This is nothing new.
4124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need anonymity? on: August 09, 2019, 10:19:34 PM
Let me tell you a story about our neighbor, she was working on a beauty salon with a salary enough to feed her family. She had another source of income, selling viands to her customers (home made). She go to the wet market every 3 am to collect the ingredients and one morning there were two guys who robbed her, she was nearly killed but it was a miracle for her to be alive. The robbers stabbed her and stoned her enough for her one eye to gouge. She was dragged to the seashore, but the culprits did not knew that she as still alive at that time, Did you know what was the amount of money that was robbed that nearly cost her life? 30 dollars and an old phone that she was using. Imagine if someone knew you had some kind of money that robbers may take interest on them, what would they do to leave no evidence? Kill you of course, and that is the reality. So in some ways we need anonymity, and at some point we need it in a good way.
Things like this happen. No matter how much anonymous you are, if you are unlucky to fall in their hands, there is nothing you can do to avoid that situation. You see, those robbers found only 30 bucks on her and beat the hell out of her. The same thing would have happened to a person carrying 1000 bucks. Instead of hiding, isn't it better to take proper steps (by the people/government) to eliminate those crimes/robbers?

4126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning bitcoin is hard but i still keep fighting on: August 09, 2019, 09:58:37 PM
Bitcoin has been great throughout its entire existence. It gives us extra income and helped us achieve our financial goals, but that will not come easy.

TRADING. The main source of getting an income would be trading. The name already sounds hard, what more would be the application. Countless loss but still have patience on trying again. I continue fighting.

HODLING. The laziest of them all. All you need to do is to buy a definite amount and wait for it to get higher. The only enemy is the long term patience and greedyness. Its tiring but i continue fighting.

MINING. Well, i skipped this because i dont mine and ai dont have any resources to do it.

CAMPAIGNS. This thing becomes rare these days and if they have, theere are only few people who get listed. Most probably those with higher ranks or higher merit achievement.

I always woke up having 20 posts deleted almost everyday and all the comments ive posted removed because of off-topic reasons. I always end up not having a minimimum post count on my campaign and seems like my account are the only account who is monitored. Its more frustrating i guess. I feel like they do not want me to tell my opinion or something.

Signature campaigns arent that much profitable not like last year. Even i dont meet the post count every week, i still try my best to give more intellectual opinion as possible. I continue fighting
Bitcoin isn't here to solve your financial goals or problems. You have been making loss when trading. This means you don't know how to trade. You keep on repeating the same mistakes again and again. Instead of trying to fix those mistakes, you probably just ignore them.
Good you skipped mining. High chances you won't be making any profit.
Campaigns aren't here to make you rich. If you post just to reach your count limit, then you will end up spamming. Don't forget, you will eventually get banned from the forum if you keep on posting off topic.
4127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fairlay withholding my BTC for currently no real explanation on: August 09, 2019, 08:53:11 PM
Fair Warning: I've posted on a few other forums, but seems like this is one that Fairlay actually responds to, so apologies if you've already seen

I’ve been an established user of Fairlay for the last 7 months, VIP level 5, and have generally had a great relationship with them (even reporting bugs several times and also suggesting site improvements that were implemented)

Around 12 days ago, I submitted a deposit and it was not credited to my account, I had been using the site consistently day to day for the months prior. I reported the issue and what seemed to be a bug, eventually they said that my account was flagged.

My coin is all legit, never used a dark site in my life, I always bet so no question of money laundering (the only scam I’ve seen reported was bc someone was depositing and not betting), and no funny business in terms of betting. Also my most recent deposit was straight from an exchange so, I know specifically there’s nothing wrong with that deposit. Additionally, it feels especially questionable as they could have warned me before I deposited and locked up my money if my account was flagged, this way it looks like they intentionally were trying to wait for a next deposit.

They stopped responding to me over a week ago, and they’ve never told me what I’m getting flagged for, which is the worst part. All was said was that an “external party” flagged my account. That in itself is questionable, how could a third party even be involved? I’ve been patient, I’ve offered to help, and I’ve done everything they’ve asked (they asked for a number to reach me). I hate blasting them, and have waited a long time to do so to give them a fair chance, but it’s looking increasingly like nothing is happening so I’m trying to lever pressure for at least a response or explanation.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am so very confident that I did nothing to violate their terms and conditions, and they seem to be violating clauses in their t&c and faqs themselves
This isn't the right place to post. Go to the scam accusation section and post with valid proof. Never hear of fairly but did a quick google search using the term "fairlay legit" and "fairlay scam". Looks like some of the other people also faced the same problem. Their coins were held with no slow response from them with almost no intention of giving it back. Even if you did something wrong, they shouldn't ignore your completely. Lets see what they have to say. You have the right to challenge their  "flagging" of your account.
4128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 09, 2019, 07:10:58 PM
The first thing that come to my mind when i keep on winning is that whether I should stop betting or continue gambling. The more I start winning, the more nervous I get and for some reason I end up continuing to bet which never has a happy ending  Embarrassed. But nonetheless, I don't risk much in gambling, so I enjoy a lot when betting.
4129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Live long and prosper on: August 09, 2019, 06:03:42 PM
In 1999 PayPal was invented. Until then there was no commerce, there was no goods production in the world. Immediately the world economy started to improve. People started to produce TVs, phones, clothes, homes. But there were no sufficient money to buy these goods.

Then in 2010 a very gentle person (a very good mathematician Satoshi Nakamoto) invented the bitcoin. Bitcoin was that money necessary for every person in this world to buy those goods.

Until 1999 I was earning approx 30 USD/month working 8 hours/day. Then in 2010 because Satoshi Nakamoto invented the bitcoin, my earnings started to improve. I have 7 phones, 7 TVs, etc  (this is no joke).

Those money very necessary for the people to buy goods were created.  Who could imagine that today I could send 10 dollars in 30 seconds to a person on the other side of the World?

Who could imagine that this 10 USD that i am sending can be used immediately to buy whatever the person that receives them has dreamed?
Please tell me this is just a joke. Please.
Lol, you are saying there no "commerce" before paypal came out? That is hilarious. Paypal didn't bring "commerce"/economy to the world. It just has helped us to make online purchase easier. People produced TV, phones and other stuffs even before paypal was invented.
You can't compare your earnings from 1999 with your earnings in 2010. Did you forget about inflation?
4130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why my day job is making me depressed on: August 08, 2019, 06:34:37 PM
Kind a feels like you are advertising for HST coin. I have seen people writing stories of their lives and in the end they say the same exact thing - "I hope investing in HST  will be worth it/change my life/will help me get out this misery bla bla bla. Are you guys getting paid for this?
Anyways, if you are uncomfortable with your job, then just quit. Don't torture yourself. Quit or change yourself. Try to get along with those extroverted people instead of calling them "toxic".
4131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from Too good to be Real investments on: August 08, 2019, 06:19:29 PM
Well, if they fall for those bullshit "too good to be true" offers, then they deserve to get scammed. They got greedy and greed has thrown them into a trap.
People with common sense know that all these high yield investment program are just pure scam. They know that they get paid with other peoples money who invested on that HYIP. They also know that people who join early are the ones who make the profit and the ones joining late gets scammed. Even after knowing all these they join with a risk in order to make some quick profit. They only complain and act innocent after getting scammed/unlucky.
4132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin may be doomed on: August 08, 2019, 05:22:21 PM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general are wonderful things and probably have potential to enhance our everyday life in aspect that we cant even fathom, but there is a problem when it come to progress, most poeple are afraid of what they cannot understand without putting their mind at work (which they probably wont do), and will avert something new even if it has incredible benefits. this is why crypto will have to face the reality that most common people are not savvy enough to trust something as conceptual as cryptocurrencies, not to tell that it requires a phd, but a minimum is necessary to secure one's fund.

In fact Cryptocurrency just need to be more accessible and more user-friendly, most people don't have a clue on how banking system work but they are still willing to use it and put their life saving in it, if some entity find the right balance between security and usability, i think this might help but hope that people will educate their self in the future is a bit unrealistic.
I don't know why people keep on saying that they have to be tech savy in order to use bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Let us talk about paypal over here. How to people send money to others using paypal? They first login to their account and then goes to the payment option and enters the recipients email address and sends the money. Just few clicks and you are done. The same way you send money using bitcoin. You go to your wallet. You enter the recipients wallet address (instead of email address) and click on send. You coins are transferred instantly and once confirmed by the network you are good to go.
4133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on a dog fight? on: August 08, 2019, 08:13:16 AM
This is not legal in most places but theres talks of other animals fighting so why not ask.
I know it is popular with Bitcoin and gamblings.
No way. That is downright sad and anyone betting on such things are sadistic and inhumane. I would rather prefer betting on those sadistic person fighting each other to death. Why would someone even think about dog fights for entertainment. Not to mention its illegal in most part of the world.
And how do you know it is popular with bitcoin and gambling? I haven't seen any place or sites offering such bets.
4134  Economy / Economics / Re: What is behind the past few days of rally? on: August 08, 2019, 08:10:44 AM
Two big time things I know about Bitcoin:

1) It is manipulated big time.
2) Bitcoin news is usually toxic, big time.

Everything else is just speculation.
Why does it always have to be manipulation? This is really sad. Every time people see the price rising, there are always some group of people that starts on screaming price manipulation. Yeah, manipulation does take place, but this is not how the manipulation works. In manipulation, we see sudden rise of the price and then sudden drop with just within few hours or days. Right now we are seeing stable price rise and the price holding their position for a while (the recent small dip was probably due to price correction which is normal). There is no indication of price manipulation over here.
4135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why did you choose your current exchange? on: August 07, 2019, 06:00:40 PM
First of all I am not an all time big trader. I did try trading omce before but it was too tedious for me and wasn't able to watch the market 24/7 so missed various opportunities and was making loss. I casually exchange/trade coins in an exchange. So as a casual trader i prefer binance. Easy to use, simple interface,  fast and limit without verification is perfect for me. Haven't used the exchange for a while though so I don't know if its still the same.
4136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No Loss Gambling Sites on: August 07, 2019, 02:01:36 PM
What you said here is totally unclear. So basically you have to buy tickets and the more tickets you own the better the chance of winning. Only one lucky winner will get all the pool prize if i am not wrong. So how is this zero loss? If 10 people participates 9 people will suffer a loss. I guess what you are trying to say is that the whole amount is given to that one single winner and the house does not keep any portion of the winnings. Crypto-games.net had this kind of lottery from the beginning.
4137  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is the best way to go against an online casino? on: August 07, 2019, 01:28:56 PM
Can somebody help me out

I pay very good commission i have big issues recorded and screened over years who can help me to solve this will get a owner of an house..

If you are familiar with law and rights maybe with online casinos holla at me
I am assuming you are accusing a casino of being rigged and you have recorded the incident. Maybe post the video so that we can understand what actually happened and we may help you out. Also let us know how to recreate the incident so that we can try it out and validate your claim (i have seen people posting fake edited images of casino being rigged. Trying to defame them just because they lost a lot).
4138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: invest? gambling? or trade again? on: August 06, 2019, 10:34:34 PM
hello friends .. I have returned, the holiday did not make me calm, fully still thinking of losses at that time. .
well now I started a new business in the real world, exactly 20 days after the incident I managed to collect about $ 600, I plan to make up for my losses at that time.
is there anyone who can give me advice, to cover my losses at that time?

invest?
suggest me a decent coin for investment. bitcoin, ethereum, xrp and so on

gambling?
where should I start? whether here
- https://SweetBet.com

or trade again
an exchange that you think has complete features and functions, and what coins are good for trading with a capital of $ 600?

if I lose I will accept the risk, I'm not a weak person, I'm trying to find myself here! Defeat must be paid with victory .. I still remember that someone who is serious will definitely produce sweet fruit ..

#thanks you
If you are looking for investing $600 USD only, then go for some safe investment like bitcoin. Or split half into bitcoin and other half into some well known altcoin.
Gambling won't be the best way to make up for your loss. I have heard people losing everything while try to regain whatever they lost. Instead try investing on the casino. Crypto-games.net current allows user investments! If you still want to gamble, then i would suggest crypto-games.
4139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 06, 2019, 10:11:07 PM
I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.
Sorry if this isn't the place.
Aww. Sorry for your loss. You see, you knew the risk and you took it. Unfortunately it did not favor you. To be honest, you lost patience and this is what that has killed you. You shouldn't have looked at the values. Remember, you have the same amount of coins if the price rises. You also will have the same amount of coins if the price falls. As long as you didn't sell anything, you haven't made a loss.
Hope you somehow manage to recover!
4140  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Prepaid card provider with Bitcoin top-up on: August 03, 2019, 02:33:25 PM
Hello all,

Could someone recommend me a reliable card service providing:

- Plastic and virtual Visa/Mastercards
- EUR cards
- Rechargable through Bitcoin
- Based in a jurisdiction with good privacy laws and card owners not centralised in a registry by the government
- If at all possible permitting no name on the card or a pseudo-name (I do not like the smallest shop where I pay to know my full name. I have often seen it printed on the receipts as it is read automatically from the card chip.)
- Reliable

Verification with the provider and providing my ID to them is not an issue for me.

Thanks!

I once remember someone recommending me to use Advcash visa card/master card. I did try using their virtual visa card but they would accept those cards on some online stores (most of them worked) over here due do region (billing maybe) issue I guess. They were probably provided by Russian banks. I tried getting their plastic card but they probably stopped providing visa cards and by delivery was postponed. They said that they will come back soon. Received an email from them like after a year telling me that they will soon provide cards again. Currently using coinbase card and it works good.
