4121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 04, 2020, 06:56:08 PM

the kind of scam still works for those who are not aware though. those who are new to cryptocurency and are in need of fast money are usually the most who would send money because they are more vulnerable. sending BTC and double it after is very much appealing for someone. if it comes from cointelegraph impostor they really would think its legit which is why they send some. the classic old trick never gets old and this goes for the pyramid scheme as well.

4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 04, 2020, 04:14:06 PM
indeed there are a lot of losses that occur when fundraising uses the ICO method and for now I think many are no longer interested in ICO, they are more interested in the IEO method which according to investors can be safer.

this IEO is also going to disappear soon.  investors avoided it because of the KYC from the small exchanges that partnered with the scam team doing IEO. the death of IEO is also inevitable. there is just no safe way for fundraising a project without the risk of scam. its possible to big exchanges, it may not look scam but the unpleasant experience due to liquidity is terrible.
4123  Economy / Economics / Re: How the situation in Iran might impact Bitcoin on: January 04, 2020, 03:21:06 PM

price has already affect BTC on the localbitcoins in Iran, it was posted by some user in similar thread which the price reaches up to $29K. it didn't affect the whole market though. a war seem overblown though, its not like Iran will blast US but then there is a probability that Iran will be invaded as US usually do it. hope not. Iran doesn't have a local section but if there is it would be a hot big thread here in bticointalk.
4124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 - The year of true DEX adoption? on: January 03, 2020, 09:03:12 PM

a DEX would just be used if there will be a volume to it. there are plenty of these DEX starting from bitshares, WAVES paltform, etherdelta, blockdxn and to the latest we have today but all these would just be useless if we still can't find ways to pile a volume for DEX. we are all here in the forum spreading more information that its best to use dex if concern of safer funds but there are still more traders on CEX.
4125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Hypocrisy Behind Facebook Banning Crypto Ads on: January 03, 2020, 08:51:48 PM
that was the start of the bear market and i guess you can blame facebook for what had happen for it tried to stop the ICOs when they ban crypto ads.  it make sense to actually kill competitors first before creating own currency but its just hypocrisy at best.

they probably feel the same way now that Libra is being stopped by the government while France also considering the release of digital currently they planned.  do you think Libra will help the rise of BTC adoption?

4126  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Bet Bitcoin Reaches $10k In the Next 5-7 Days! on: January 03, 2020, 06:54:15 PM

you'd lose this bet. $10k in 5-7 days isn't easy to achieve. in a week will not be possible, you are too optimistic about it but i would expect dumps after this pump. there will be a lot of pumps and dumps these days. the price of BTC i think will keep this price from $7k-7500 for weeks, its been for several weeks too bad not any whales are plotting to break the resistance.
4127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to protect your crypto against a natural disaster? on: January 03, 2020, 06:25:19 PM
You don't have to buy cryptosteel you made mentioned, why can't you just grab a stainless steel and write your recovery seed on it, safe from fire, water and bad environments too

kind like engraver and write down there the seed. lol its going to be safe from disaster but it might not be safe from the people who understands its a seed. we all know its always BTC that people kept in their wallets so once they see 12 words or 24 words written or carved in a stainless steel, its what it is so put it somewhere safe that no one sees it. i wouldn't go that far though. just print multiple paper wallets and put it in an airtight plastic bottle.
4128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020 - The Year Of Decentralization. Thoughts? on: January 03, 2020, 04:54:11 PM

its not just the exchange that needs to be decentralized, we already knew how blocknet works and its cool to have it. but it won't matter if the tokens of the project we hold are centralize in a way.  right now the devs are having a dilemma of whether to go on for scalability while the trade off is the security and decentralization of the project so while we are not yet solving the scalability i guess the only that is really for decentralization is the exchanges which is why they to have the Defi.
4129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 02, 2020, 08:40:08 PM
i don't know if it does have a pattern to follow because if its that easy to see. traders are looking into the charts and usually the price reacts base on the news coming from the team or base simply to the market.  if you look at the chart, the market has been going down since July of 2019, it only tried to go up on October but bears are winning the game even today. my guess is that it will continue to do so until June.
4130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is very bad for the European crypto community! on: January 02, 2020, 07:28:08 PM
What will this mean in reality? Will every exchange based in Europe have to send information about their exchange users and their transactions to a centralized authority?

have they not done that already?

its not a positive sign no matter which angle you will look at it. its objective is for AML. its the implementation of these law that we'd get in trouble. its not like they will investigate first before freezing an account, its the other way round. and its not just about how much you have but probably where you are from as well. they do have the data of those who submitted KYC.  nothing you can do if the exchange says you have a coin that come from somewhere and freeze your account.
4131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Tips for Traders here on: January 02, 2020, 06:07:01 PM
article seem to be posted here is a spam. it may sound a traders tip in general but it doesn't even related to crypto as it suggested metatrader below it. which means this is  for forex traders. we have seen enough tips here, a lot have shared their own tips but this OP gave is a spam. latinpost accepted a paid blog post and was shared it once again here in the forum.

This is pretty much applies to every type of strategy that you're gonna choose. I hope the article gets revision since it doesn't seem like applicable to newbies and I won't even advise newbies to day trade immediately. What tips can you apply in day trading but not in long term trading, leverage, etc?

for all time, its the long term hold that works best.
4132  Economy / Speculation / Re: New year and forecasts on: January 02, 2020, 04:54:11 PM
Quote
"All hardware wallets will be hacked; Tron/XRP will become the most important cryptocurrency; Satoshi identity will be revealed and will be disappointing; Trump will stack sats on twitter; Lightning will have glorious adoption.”

that's what Ohayon said.  i have no idea how safe his zengo but he is probably serious when he said TRX and XRP are going to be the most important crypto lol these are likely the only tokens deposited in zengo.  not sure why cointele ever give him the stage.

i don't think satoshi will be identified, he will have to prove his sign message even if all evidence is pointing to such person.
4133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any change this year? on: January 02, 2020, 03:48:47 PM
There will always be people who give up, but there are still survivors and new entrants into this market. For me 2020 will be a promising year, with many events like bitcoin halving, some countries will launch their own cryptocurrencies, Libra, bitcoin ETF.

once a person got into crypto and learned its the future, they may not really give up.  they will even hold on to the tokens we already distinguished as scam and will still put hopes to it.

one day they will still see there is the need for them to buy the tokens on top like the cheap ones because its the most affordable. its going to take time for them to see the profit but they will hold on to it. one individual i personally knew invested on XRP to which he said he bought 3k of it.
4134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why you need to store your money in your hands! on: January 01, 2020, 04:57:18 PM

How did you get the dirty bitcoins?

If you have dirty coins always use some mixer to clean your coins before you send it to any  exchanges this is the best you can do now if you don't want to ban in some exchanges like binance mix your coins first before you transfer.

don't you think the exchange will look at it as a dirty coin as well because it has not history except its mixed?

i wanna test the exchanges though if they will freeze my account after depositing dirty coin worth $50. i however don't have a dirty coin. but i'd be amaze if they will indeed freeze my account with just too little to bother. and will they ever allow me to once again create a new account submitting the same KYC.
4135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BItcoin: The path to $10,000,000 ten million dollars per coin on: December 30, 2019, 09:34:29 PM
Bitcoin is designed to be more scarce every single day while the population is almost required to increase its demand. Why? Because people will have to sell their failed fiduciary currencies per Bitcoin. The current financial system failed already and people will realize that Bitcoin is the only system to reset everything. Governments will try to create their centralized cryptocurrencies that will fail like the fiat due to hacks and the fact that people will prefer to use Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a blackhole that is swallowing every single fiat bill. 10 million dollars per coin is probably too conservative. People who dont own Bitcoin now will have to own in it later. Those who are acummulating BTC right now will be the richest people in the world. Bitcoin should hit that price in the next 10 years and there is nothing that could stop it.

Indeed, 10 million is conservative whennya consider governments will have to bow to bitcoin  and  begin their own btc mining.
Russia government is already aiming to have 20% of the bitcoin mining capacity.

In the USA the federal reserve banksters wont go down without a fight, expect some more deep state dirty tricks like what they did to Ross Ulbricht.

didn't Russia ban bitcoin?

the news  media can't really lay down which is true here. if they are mining BTC, this should be a cause for other countries to do the same. lets all dive into BTC after all its proven to be a better currency.

its going to be advantageous for countries to have cheap power energy source, the country who can generate free energy thru solar and wind would probably be the richest.

4136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Who is the 2019 Bitcoin Drama Queen on: December 30, 2019, 09:02:42 PM
majority of the vote will probably come from twitter who doesn't knew the names on the list except for the fakestoshi.
a lot knew CW already for being satoshi and he will soon get 1 DOGE for the price. but not the $3B worth of fortune because he just admitted he doesn't have access to this wallet. so much for being fake. but you can still expect him claiming over and over
4137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex Research Reveals That investors have lost about 98% Investment in IEOs. on: December 30, 2019, 07:49:51 PM

of all its just matic that seem profitable. i have joined that BTT IEO and i cab say its still one of the project that still made me good amount  but the rest are just nothing. nor sure why those exchanges are approving to get it on in doing IEO.

IEO is no different from ICO and never better than ICO, they are both the same and one is a more classified shit which is IEO, it's more official and hence gather more investors, after that investors get rekt. This is part of why the whole Crypto space is not very interesting. Too many wolves developers.

i still like the ICO than this IEO. it only feels like we are not safe anymore, i can't even dump the first because there is always someone in the exchange whos primary objective is to watch the countdown when the market will be open.
4138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will YouTube launch it's own cryptocurrency. on: December 30, 2019, 06:23:29 PM

i'd be amuse to see google announcing they'd be releasing a coin though. of course this confirms how enticing blockchain is for them. spectator like China will just be watching the government trying to regulate everything and yet these big companies powerful enough to run a country are joining to dignify blockchain. it would be a centralize coin of course but then lets wait if google will do announce.
4139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain for beef traceability on: December 30, 2019, 11:40:21 AM

meat is actually a good thing to track where it comes from because it could help people from eating a not so good meat. i'm not really sure about them creating a coin, but i didn't see it on their page about selling a coin.

its just a blockchain i guess for tracking thigs. this wouldn't be good if it were a coin for fungibility issues.
4140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the highest number of TPS a crypto has ever reached? on: December 29, 2019, 08:18:15 PM

feel bad about that EOS because i'm a fan and have stake a good amount of it.

the highest TPS i knew was WAVES which they claimed can do 300k TPS, not sure if its true though. and then there's also Cardano claim, so far there isn't a real number that can prove a project can scale up to millions.

At this time, EOS has highest tested tps with about 4k. Feel free to correct if wrong.
I seriously doubt that there are 4,000 transactions happening per second in the EOS Blockchain at the moment and it has been clogged for months, I couldn't even trade a few tokens in needed because I didn't have enough resources even though I have staked over 3 EOS, seeing is believing and I have to admit that EOS isn't convincing at all in light of what's been happening to the network lately.

with the number of dapps on it, somehow there is some grain of truth just like the TRON that has tons of dapps that processes a ton of transactions.
