4121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 02, 2019, 01:00:51 PM
They are +36.5 against Serbia...

That bet is a losing bet now, there's no chance Philippines can come back in the 4th quarter and cover that plus points.
If Italy dominated them, this is even worst as Serbia could score at least 130 points in this game compared to 108 points of Italy.

I don't know if this http://www.fiba.basketball/basketballworldcup/2019/game/0209/Serbia-Philippines#tab=boxscore is updated, but according to the box score, Andray BLATCHE only scored 3 points in 21:40 minutes of playing, he produce less compared to the game against Italy.
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: demands on Ethereum on: September 02, 2019, 12:29:48 PM
Even without this news, it's easy to expect ETH to reach $200 again as we have already reach that this year and the price is just close to $200.
Now that Bitcoin is starting to look good going uptrend, I think when BTC will get back to $10,000 range, we can expect ETH to again trade at $200.

It's just a matter of time, Bitcoin drop but now again starting to climb back and this is a good sign as bearish people expected BTC to continue falling down to below $9K. This year was a struggle for ETH as it's one of the top altcoins that hasn't shown a good recovery rate yet.
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: September 02, 2019, 11:49:09 AM
I'm expecting a bull run between Q4 2019 & Q1 2020. When BTC goes parabolic before the halving, money will flow down into the alts and it will be like Dec-Jan 2017 all over again.
That would be easy it will start to rise this month, last month was not a good month, but good thing now that BTC is starting to rise again.
We will be back again in $10K soon, and I hope it will not again stop and drop back again because if there is no improvement, we cannot expect a bull run this year.

Although we can say that the last 3 months is still enough for BTC to rise, but it would be nice if it will start to rise early as the price has been stuck for a month now. Still, continue to be positive and hold while waiting for the right time to come, the bull run can come faster than what we expected and the moment a new ATH will be created, it's almost a guarantee that the bull run for all will start basing on how people react in the past.
4124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunting is past it's glory days on: September 02, 2019, 10:45:41 AM
Agree, bounty has passed its best phase. In 2017 and 2018 I received a lot of money from bounty. But in 2019, I still haven't received any bounty income. Most bounty are scam and fail
Those are the times where bounty hunting are so lucrative, I think most of us who do bounty hunting that time receive a decent amount of reward.
Now, I still some bounty rewards from the past work particularly in 2018 but I can't sell it now as it dump when it started trading in exchange.

For me, I would rather treat this as a long term investment and hold it, I am confident that the bounty rewards I receive are the coins from a good project and a good project always have a potential to grow, maybe not this year but for sure as long as it survives, it could be more valuable in the future.
4125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is bounty campaign profitable in 2019 or no? on: September 01, 2019, 11:55:35 PM
Obviously the whole altcoin sector has suffered a sudden brake, also because of the scams that have been there.

It did, bounty hunting in the past cannot be compared to the present, because in the past, we have a lot of ICO projects that are able to successfully raise funds (whether scams or legit), and that makes bounty hunting so rewarding and we can sell at a good price due to the demand.
Scams were only notice when BTC took a hit, while drop slowly going to sub 3K, and because of that, the whole market was affected and that makes investors fear to invest, with that, bounty hunting is not anymore profitable if we expect a good reward like in the past.

And then the merit system has made it inconvenient to waste time writing messages that nobody reads. But a little cleaning was done. We'll see.

This is a different thing, it does not affect the bounty hunting profitability, the system is their for good reason and we can't change that as it's an effective measures against account farmers.
4126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 01, 2019, 11:40:25 PM
While we are talking about salaries and contracts, here is a one good example to it.

Kawhi Leonard and CJ McCollum which are now 2 of the best in the league are now earning 9 digits with their total salary.
Even being almost last prospect for being a good basketball player, they still made it through.

https://www.celebritynetworth.com/articles/sports-news/kawhi-leonard-and-cj-mccollum-were-barely-on-the-radar-coming-out-of-high-school-and-they-each-signed-nine-figure-deals-this-offseason/?amp=1

CJ McCollum deserve the contract, he is so consistent and he can help his team win in crunch time.
One of the best back court duo in the NBA is CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard, and they are the reason why the Blazers are consistently going in the playoffs.

I hope next season they will improve more because the competition is getting higher, they reach the Western conference finals against the Warriors but this coming season, we have a much more improve Lakers, Rockets, and the Clippers, that's a tough job for them beating any of the aforementioned team.

Guys do you have a live stream link for Cote d'Ivoire vs China?

I am watching that game right now. You need to install the Fancode app on your smartphone. But the issue is that you can watch the game only on mobile, and not in TV or laptop. It is very exciting now, and China is leading 51-41, with one quarter remaining. Chances are that China will pull off this one. The other game is also available, and it is quite exciting as well (Spain vs Tunisia, now 42-39 at half-time).

I followed your suggestion, installed the app, saw they featured a live game I like to watch, but I can't play it in my device.
They must have some country restriction or something, I don't know, seems like it's impossible for me to watch the game live now, my best chance is a youtube live streaming video but I could not find one.
4128  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is bitcointalk lending service legal? on: August 31, 2019, 01:30:19 PM
AFAIK, 20% interest rates are only for unsecured loans, lenders trust the borrowers based on their reputation in the forum, hence, it's considered a high risk loan and therefore they require a high interest rates.

There are also lenders who charge on a daily basis, but usually it's the borrowers who sets the interest rates, they know that lenders would easily approve their loans if they will set a high interest rates. If I have to borrow, the maximum interest rate I would take is 10%, for me, it's reasonable, but then again, that depends on the agreement of both parties. Lastly, they don't pay taxes for their business because they aren't required.

Actually if you have plans of running your lending business here, you are not prohibited and even if you charge the same 20%, I believe there are still borrowers that will apply for a loan.

I even did undertime in my work just to get home early to watch the Philippines vs Italy but it's just sad to see the score now. The Philippines had really hard time shooting at three points area.

In the first half, it's the Italy who are shooting well in the 3 point range, they have a good FG percentage in overall.
Anyway, let's finish watching this game and hope for a miracle. LOL.
Then at the start of the second half, the scores decreases compared to the first half, Philippines' score almost  reached 1/2 of the score of Italy Cheesy.
Sadly to saw on sportsbet that I can't see any available to bet on, even some handicap, it's so early for sportsbet to close some bets, maybe it's because about the points lead of Italy against Philippines.

The game is over, final result, 62-108, ITALY wins.
http://www.fiba.basketball/basketballworldcup/2019/game/3108/Philippines-Italy#tab=boxscore

That's the boxscore of the game, Philippines has a lot of turnovers is this game and their 3 point shooting is only 3/23 which is 13% 3PM, compared to 48% of Italy. Hopefully by next game the Philippines will be able to adjust, they need to be more Physical and one factor why they loss big time is because their naturalized player were not able to produce points in this game.

Sad that only 2 players in the Philippines scored double digit, but most of the points are coming from the garbage time.

Guys do you have a live stream link for Cote d'Ivoire vs China?
4130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 31, 2019, 12:26:28 PM
WTF is happening with the Italy vs Philippines game? This is one of the most lop-sided games I have ever watched. I just switched on the live streaming and saw the score (62-24). During the first quarter, it was even worse (37-8). I guess Philippines is suffering from the restriction that they could field only one naturalized player. That made some of their best players ineligible for the tournament.
That's how good the Italy, I was watching the game until the half and I never saw them successfully shoot a single 3 points.
Philippines should be focus on the outside shooting as the Italy is bigger, but since they were not able to do it, this is already a win for the Italy.

In the first half, it's the Italy who are shooting well in the 3 point range, they have a good FG percentage in overall.
Anyway, let's finish watching this game and hope for a miracle. LOL.
4131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach $100k within 5 years from now on: August 31, 2019, 10:27:00 AM
I think 100k for each BTC is very plausible in the near future. According to the regression analysis price prediction, in 3 years BTC will top at the near 100k USD.
There are also some price prediction methods that shows BTC price can go even higher in 3 years.
You are right we can buy some at 50k dollar in few years and for few years we holding we will be able to sell it again for 100 k$ we will only have to wait and i am sure this power of hope all give us great success I can see that my earning is more than blessing this year. I like to hold it is beneficial way to obtain profit from.
When we make a price projection, let's always use the long period price history so we can make a long term projection realistically.
That $100K in 5 years seems so realistic from the current price now of almost $10K.

Based on the market trend of BTC, it was capable of increase x10 in less than a year, therefore that average of 100% increase per year is very conservative, therefore I will agree with the prediction, we might be able to sell earlier than the projected year because it's possible a bull run will come in less than 5 years from now.
4132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did fear cause that sharp dump? on: August 31, 2019, 09:40:09 AM
From the news shared by OP..https://modernconsensus.com/cryptocurrencies/bitcoin/exclusive-interview-with-craig-wright-just-after-ordered-to-pay-5-billion-in-bitcoin/
Quote
Craig Wright told Modern Consensus he “has no choice but to hand over $5 billion in BTC.”

So this means he really has that amount?
That would probably cause a dump if he is not lying here, but this guy is a proven liar, we can search his name in google with lair after it and we will see a lot of articles about that.

So are we gonna worry about the possibility that he will be able to pay that big amount?
What would happen to him if he will not follow the judge order?
4133  Economy / Speculation / Re: When bitcoin will hit $1 million ! on: August 31, 2019, 09:00:29 AM
The prediction is quite realistic though, $1 million bitcoin price in 2025 means a lot of years from now.
It's 25 years man and for those who believe in your prediction, they should start saving or investing in bitcoin now.
1 BTC is good enough for the future, so it should be treated as a long term investment.

Even for 10 years time, I think it's manageable to save at least 1 BTC, the movement of bitcoin is not only one sided, it usually fluctuate and sometimes it will dump, so the best technique to follow is always find a great timing to buy.
4134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 31, 2019, 08:25:14 AM
BTW, for Philippines various sites are offering odds ranging from 16 to 20 against Italy. But even these odds look unattractive for me.

Philippines is currently +17.5 now against Italy at 1.90 odds, the ML might not be attractive but the plus points is always attractive.

With that line, I think there's still some respect to the Philippine team because if Italy is really a good team, they can easily dominate the Philippines in over 20 points. I can't analyze properly where the value is on this point spread, but if sportsbook offers a live betting for this event, I will surely take a risk in the Philippines + points if I see they can compete in the 1st quarter.
4135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are impatient and too quick to judge projects on: August 30, 2019, 11:00:58 PM
Most of them want instant gratification, which most times, make them to made some unimaginable decisions. They are the type that dump their tokens below  ICO price, after lodging so many compliant. They are the ones that keep asking "when exchange". They will never bother themselves on what happens to the product, because of their lack of understanding on how proper crypto project should be run .
They are investors and no investors would dump their tokens at below ICO price, that doesn't make sense at all, no one would invest to lost actually.
Maybe you are talking about the bounty hunters, they usually are the ones who like to have the tokens in exchanges the soonest so they can dump, and they don't care about the ICO price as much as the investors cared.

I know some of the investors already knew about this, they are waiting for the bounty hunters to dump their tokens so they can have the opportunity to buy cheap, most of the type, they are also FUDDING so the price will become lower and lower and that will give them the cheapest price to accumulate.
4136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: August 30, 2019, 10:40:22 PM
I have been patient with some of my altcoins . Price presently has gone below ico prices . Being tempted more often than not to sell at a loss but I have counselled myself to hold on that better days are ahead. I hope my patience eventually pays off
As long as you hold an altcoins that has a good team, you don't have to worry on its future as eventually it will rise.
There's a lot of altcoins in the market, of the total altcoins, maybe only 10% are legit, so that's a hard task picking those legit coins as some looks legit but not.

But then again, it depends on how we spent effort and time making research prior to investing with the altcoins we are holding, and it's been proven in the past that altcoins is a good investment for long term hold, coins like XRP, ETH, and NEM where among the coins I hold and made a good profit during the last bull run.
4137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO and IEO running at same time for same project on: August 30, 2019, 10:16:10 AM
Normally the first stage is ICO, when they raise enough funds in ICO, they will go for the IEO, I think as an investor to be safe, invest on them when they already have an IEO. Though they offer good rates during ICO but the risk is relatively high, so it's not good to take such risk.

It's good if the project are transparent with the amount they raise, but those projects who does not raise much might hide the real amount raise since that is not attractive to investors, what I notice with the competition now, investors are more eager to invest when the project already raise a decent amount, they do that because the project is already guaranteed to be successful.
4138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: August 30, 2019, 09:50:50 AM
That was a long time ago, Melo had change and his performance decline after leaving the Knicks, he just to have more touch of the ball so he can shoot more and made points but it's not gonna happen if he join a good team where he is not the main man.
A Kyrie-Melo tandem may give him more chance to touch the ball now unlike when he was at OKC with Westbrook/PG and at Houston with Harden/CP.
That's a good analysis, Westbrook and Harden are both a ball hogger but Melo is also one of them, so he needs to change though.
Irving on the other hand is just a mild ball hogger, he loves to hold the ball, drive the ball, then pass, but if that ball will goes to Melo, that would be hard for him as he is not a type of player who shoots quickly, he loves to dribble the ball first, post up, then turn around or just fade away.

Anyway, let's just see what will happen, but I hope Melo will improve and learn from his mistakes in the past.
This ins't his era anymore.

That deal may be tough on him but yeah, why not. His team claims that he still got it so it won't be a problem for him to prove it.

If this kind of deal will work on fading stars, then I think this will use pretty often then.
4139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 30, 2019, 09:41:13 AM
Yeah. They need all the support they can get; maybe not from our President but at least from our country's citizens. Because my father told me that there was a news where in PRRD said that Ph don't stand a chance against Italy. I wasn't able to watch that news but, I'm so disappointed that he said that.  Undecided He really is brutally honest. But I know Gilas will find that statement motivating rather than disheartening.
Don't you know that PRRD will be the Gilas number one supporter when they play against Italy? It's reported that he will be watching that game if nothing changes on his schedule. Like what you have said, he is just brutally honest to tell that Gilas has no chance against Italy and it is good as it will lower the expectation of the non-basketball fanatic Filipinos on their quest.
Guess that's what he likes to express so everyone will just enjoy watching it but will not have a high expectation, he is honest with his words and that's a good leader for me. With this statement, even if the Gilas will loss in all their games, they will not be bash by the people, because they know the real chance of the Gilas Pilipinas, normally those who bash are those who does not really know how strong the opponent of the Gilas in their bracket.
4140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ICO dead? on: August 30, 2019, 08:04:50 AM
If it is dead, I don't think there will still be thousands of them.

A lot of projects are still there, maybe you are stating this because the ICOs you've invested in did not give you a profit? With thousands of ICOs, it is not dead for me, it is just that like sleeping and it will be awake in a certain time or maybe it is the end of it. We don't know, all I know is that it is still there and still not dead.
But looking at the amount raise, are they still raising a good amount?
I heard that majority of the ICO are scams, so that is not attractive for investors and I believe they are now investing in IEO than in ICO.
If that is not dead yet, I'm afraid soon, they won't be able to recover until they will be dead.

There are good ICO also, we can't deny that, but the fact that majority are scams, that would ruin the reputation of the entire ICO market.
