It would be an interesting match up to see US vs. Serbia. Haven't followed the league and not even familiar with the current roster for the teams that were involved but after watching Angola vs. Sebia, there will be more matches that will be like this as mentioned by bryant.

Here in India, the matches were not broadcast live on television, so I had to depend upon low quality web streaming. The Russia vs Nigeria match was exciting as hell. One of the most exciting matches I have ever watched. Russians were simply too good for the Africans, even without one of their best players (Alexey Shved). In order to qualify for the second round, now Nigeria needs to beat Argentina, which is a very tough task.

The first half shows that it is another lopsided game in favor of Italy. I do not see that the second half would be any different. Italy is just too strong for the Philippine Team as expected. I will still watch and support the Philippines though, to the bitter end.

It's even worse than Angola's beat down, the Philippines has not hit from the rainbow, maybe the president's presence put some pressure on the Gilas players. Quality display of basketball play by the Italians, hardly miss those 3's.

Anyways, this is expected though, even the president himself said that Gilas don't stand a chance against Italy.

Italy played superb basketball bro, quality basketball for me. The ball barely touches the floor, everyone have touched the rock before they shoot while on the Philippines side, everything they throw did not go in.

Even if we have Clarkson on the lineup i would still expect the same result.

That's how good the Italy, I was watching the game until the half and I never saw them successfully shoot a single 3 points.
Philippines should be focus on the outside shooting as the Italy is bigger, but since they were not able to do it, this is already a win for the Italy.

In the first half, it's the Italy who are shooting well in the 3 point range, they have a good FG percentage in overall.
Anyway, let's finish watching this game and hope for a miracle. LOL.

Iran were leading during all game, but then Puerto Rico made amazing comeback.
Russia - Nigeria game was also very interesting. Nigeria with all their stars were favorites, but Russia played better in decisive moments.
In group stage we can expect lot of one sided matches like Angola - Serbia or Italy - Philippines were Italy leading by 44 points in 3rd quarter.

The broadcaster for India is given as "Fancode". There is no TV channel in that name. I checked the website (fancode.com) and there is no indication of FIBA coverage. Anyway, for now I'd stick to the web streaming.

BTW, did anyone checked the Spain vs Tunisia match? This was supposed to be the most one sided match for today. Believe it or not, currently Tunisia is leading over Spain (17-16)!!!!!

It's hard to watch the Philippine team getting pummeled like this. This is probably the worst performance I've seen from them. I guess they miss the likes of Alapag and Castro who can make the right plays.

I installed the Fancode App in my mobile phone and now I can watch the matches live. But still I am unable to watch them in my laptop (which probably is too much to ask for  ). BTW, Tunisia is leading against Spain 27-18. History in making and no one should miss this match. There is a real chance of an upset here. This is just crazy... some unbelievable shit going on!!!!!

Last time I check, they only made 1 out of 18 3-point attempts . Though I already expected the possible outcome of this match, it still so frustrating to see our team suffering from Italy's onslaught. The game is not yet concluded but I want to say better luck next time for Gilas Pilipinas (props to fearless CJ Perez ).

Spain pulled ahead now. The score is still very close (42-39 at half-time), but I don't expect a team such as Tunisia to maintain their momentum in the 3rd and 4th quarters. BTW, Philippines fought back in the 4th quarter to have a respectable scoreline. 4th quarter was 23-23, and they lost the match 62-108. Still better than the 8-37 that they had after the 1st quarter.

That's the boxscore of the game, Philippines has a lot of turnovers is this game and their 3 point shooting is only 3/23 which is 13% 3PM, compared to 48% of Italy. Hopefully by next game the Philippines will be able to adjust, they need to be more Physical and one factor why they loss big time is because their naturalized player were not able to produce points in this game.

Sad that only 2 players in the Philippines scored double digit, but most of the points are coming from the garbage time.

It is very exciting now, and China is leading 51-41, with one quarter remaining. Chances are that China will pull off this one. The other game is also available, and it is quite exciting as well (Spain vs Tunisia, now 42-39 at half-time).
