4121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we buy tokens for young projects? on: November 23, 2021, 05:26:06 PM
Investing in new projects is a risky situation. Because even if the project is not a scam, it will fail if it cannot find the funds which its needs. And the profit which you can get depends on how much potential the project has. I usually prefer to invest only very small amounts in new projects that which i think have such a good team and vision, because of the risk is high.
Basically all new projects have the same level of risk and also have different levels of success because from a different team perspective and performance, this is what makes the potential and life of the project a differentiator for the future because it always starts with recruiting investors into it.
I agree, but if this young project ever has a chance to succeed, you will be a huge beneficiary of it! Although we all understand that the best course of action is to get started as soon as possible, the problem is that we don't know if our efforts will be rewarded later on or not. If our efforts are rewarded later on, we will undoubtedly reap substantial profits, but if they are not, we should simply move on. As for myself, I believe that taking risks is preferable to not taking any risks because we will not be able to earn large sums of money if we remain in our comfort zones.
4122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting online cockfight has become the new pandemic on: November 23, 2021, 01:36:28 PM
People might see it as an act of animal cruelty but it's already part of the Filipino culture and even our ancestors used to do cockfighting. However, lots of people got addicted to online cockfighting this pandemic because of the influence of social media influencers, and to be honest, it ruined lots of lives but as for me, it isn't the game that should only be blamed but also the greediness of some players who see gambling as a shortcut to success. They see it as a survival tool during this pandemic without knowing that it could even make their situation worse.

Yes, I have a lot of friends and relatives who are making a lot of money from it, and I could honestly say that I really want to get into it but don't know how, but at the same time, I would say that I am not into it, and that I believe I am just thinking about it because they have influenced my thinking about it. Despite the fact that they earn a living and can afford many things as a result of it, they are also losing money because not everyone is winning at this time. You are correct because this is a part of the Filipino culture, and it is  legalized in our country as well.
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's more important: good marketing or technology? on: November 23, 2021, 01:29:34 PM
In my opinion, technology is still more important. If the product offered by the project is in demand in its field, then special marketing is not required. In any area, there is a useful product that has proven itself and has retained its brand.

I agree with this because if you want to make your project last for a long time, the technology will be the best because that is what the majority of people will choose. However, imagine if you have a bad technology but excellent marketing; do you think your project will last for a long time? People are looking for innovations and something new, and if you choose good marketing, people will eventually leave if they haven't seen an improvement in the product or service they are purchasing. Nonetheless, both are beneficial because without effective marketing, your project would not have been discovered.
4124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: November 23, 2021, 09:04:16 AM
So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?

you don't need eternal hold, each person has a "target price". all you have to do and think is set, wait then sell. like me which now still hodl some satoshi and will sell my btc when Bitcoin is at $150k.

Agree to this and  we do have our own decisions if ever we think that this is the best time to sell then sell , dont listen to others that youve sold your coin early since it is our decision, as long as we want to sell it then sell because thats our target and we are contented with it. As my self as long as i want to sell then i sell or if ever i really need money i would sell it but if ever i dont need money i just hold it and invest it for the future since we could really earn a lot from crypto now  a days
4125  Economy / Economics / Re: Preparing for the future. on: November 23, 2021, 07:53:59 AM
Acquiring more skills is a good thing but finishing studies is an edge. It's better to have a title while doing the things that we enjoy as we earn more than what we expect. If there's a chance to earn more knowledge then we should grab it as long as it would make our future careers better. We're in the modern technology days so we have to deal with every opportunity that it offers.

Even if you're currently working and making money and don't plan on going back to school in the future, that mindset is wrong because it's not just preparing you for the future, but it's a previllage that you'll be bringing and bringing with you until you're old. Those who haven't completed college, like myself, are being looked down upon by others because they havent finished college but they're already making money, which makes me think there's no need to go back to school. However, I really want to go back to school, but I don't have the time right now because we're in such a financial bind.
4126  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you making money online? on: November 22, 2021, 06:58:11 AM
Of course, I make it online to increase my income, after the pandemic I have a lot of time at home and I use it for online earning, I do crypto trading, bounties and so on. In the past, when I was in college, I was often earning online by blogging and inserting Google Adsense, I was earning up to $700, after many blogs were deleted, I stopped and chose crypto.
Adsense used to be quite popular in the past, however, the blogspot trend has died now, I haven't seen any nowadays. I still see a couple of websites operating Adsense, I'm curious if it's still profitable, especially with most users now using Adblockers.

I believe it is, mostly in apps but not sure about websites, but I believe it is still profitable. Back in the day, adsense was one of the main sources of income, but as time passed, I believe that this method is no longer as effective. However, for app developers, this is one of the main sources of funds, but now there are a lot of apps and all of them are using adsense, but now people are going into investing, trading, and, most importantly, crypto.
4127  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and non-formal workers on: November 22, 2021, 05:54:53 AM
government worker will busy with their job, but im sure if people out there play this game.
im agree with your thought, most of us maybe just part timer, freelancer, or they work on company that dont have any relate with government.
my old school friend play bitcoin after they graduate, or in collage, and im join after knowing more. most of us know that this salary great than you work on company, but you must run on it. people have different survival ways, and this method is one of the other.

Having a full time job and a side hustle at the same time in this time of pandemic is very much needed because of the crisis but it is not already a surprise for me that I have known many of my colleagues and friends associated with bitcoin or cryptocurrency are part time freelancer and some are full time like me. In my case, I am a full time crypto trader and investor and a student at the same time. During pandemic, the surge for the people finding job in internet gets high and what's good about it is the compensation also competitive provided you have a skill that you can offer, also the surge of people aiming to get profited in crypto gets high that's why I feel glad that during this pandemic people have found crypto's value and worth.

Many of my online friends are making more money than I am, even though they're still in school, and they're also getting a diploma that will help them in the future. Since I have a daughter, I need money, and I have a full-time job online, but I also have a side hustle in crypto, which has been a huge help to me and my family. We all know that a lot of people are in dire need of a job right now, and we should be grateful for our side hustles and our current situation.
4128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 20, 2021, 05:35:14 AM
Finally SQ won!  Grin Thats a great rotation tho they need to flank the bottom of the hill i though they would gonna lose since the terrain is not that good luckly they spead and have a great view in the last team TSM. But ikanda disappointed 17 is the new best in pochinki which they really destroyed SQ in their pochinki yesterday, i dont think that SQ will risk to go to pochinki again.
4129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 20, 2021, 03:55:42 AM
just started watching PUBG Global Championship (group C and D just finished) and, man, this caught me off guard in ways you can't even imagine when i first saw it in the twitch stream 🤣

https://www.instagram.com/p/CWa8JklFjbc/

my initial reaction was "oh look, it's a random shopping mall in south korea" heh, litle did i know it is actually a studio and the main stage of the global championship and those rectangular pyramids things are the booths where each team is playing from. Pretty cool

as for the tournament, Oath just won Round 1 of Rank Decision, but i didn't get a good first impression from the other NA teams 😂 Soniqs camping from the get-go only to get wiped a few minutes at the start of the match, DIG and TSM barely did anything, not good enough...overall, first time watching competitive pubg and i like it, will watch a few more rounds of Day 1 (:

Yes kinda disappointed with their rotation tho (SQ). I think they have change their playstyle before and it aint kinda working . It is day 2 right now and Group B and D is matching which Gen.G and SQ which it is pretty a good game, I think SQ is kinda adjusting with their enemies which was the same previous year that in the following weeks they are dominating all the teams except Gen G. Oath and MGC as usual performing well and here we are our representative which AAP is kinda meh , i dont know what happend to them no kills unlike before that they are not in bottom
4130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not meant 4everybody on: November 18, 2021, 06:13:30 PM
the fact is that it is, not everyone is able to survives in trading but everyone can learn trading. when crypto becomes more and more booming, there will be many people who are starting to get to know crypto and try to take advantage of it, one of which is by trading. in my place there are many young people who started trading but in fact only a few are surviving today. shows that indeed trading is not for everyone, only people who are capable and can manage it can do it.
If people can learn to trade, they will be able to survive in trading, and even they can have a chance to choose the coin to trade and make a profit. Sometimes, people don't want to learn about trading but only use other people to buy and sell the coin without knowing if that can work for them or make them lose the money. The key is how they are willing to learn to trade and improve their skills to make a profit.

We are opposite since mostly the people i know are they want to trade but they dont have knowledge and also they know the risk of lossing their money. Some of my friends tried since they thought it was easy which the end is they lose their money. There are also kind of people that want passive income which holding or like investing only but it has also high risk this means that people have their own preference whether what is that it has still has a risk and we should respect that.
4131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 18, 2021, 12:23:08 PM
We have had several hyped coins and token lately and many have been a victim of hyped projects that ended up crashing in not long after attaining a very little profit margin. Been extremely careful with how we go about our analysis will help save a lot. Just wondering why developers would come up with nice projects only to crash after a short while keeping investors in losses.
Don't be influenced by projects that are hype, we really need to know that hype can't last long, if we rely on temporary projects, it's feared that we will experience big risks in the future, look at projects that have a good level and stability that has opportunities in the future, don't be in a hurry to take part in hype projects, there are still many projects that we can participate in at this time, instead of doing and sticking to the hype.

That is why we should really reading their whitepaper and their roadmaps since that is the most information we got, dont trust fully the reviews because sometimes it is bias, just read it and feel if it is kinda true. Knowledge is power so you should research to gain more knowledge. Hype is temporary is mostly said because later in time that hype will take into bash since their project is not promising and tend to fail in the end. Do your own research and read read read.
4132  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: November 18, 2021, 06:17:34 AM
Money or wealth is the dream destination of many people in the world

Religion is the total believe of a group people on a particular being.
Most or everyone in the world today in which I am included believe in accumulating of wealth and making money.

More than Half of the life span of the human race is centred on making of money or wealth.

Making money legally or illegally, accumulating of wealth is the believe of most people in the world.

I stand to be corrected or cencitize

You have clearly said that money and wealth is only your ambition .I think we have to respect who just thing other except its like religion you said about .Religion is a believe you never buy it with money and wealth. One thing is clearly known to us that we have to die .A person who are theistic and he has a ambition also what happen after death .For me money and wealth is nothing ,I have to follow my religion first .Money and wealth will never my religion and ambition .

Agreed, I live in a Christian country where we adhere to our religion to the statement, but I believe that people are changing because they are becoming greedy with money. If you listen to what the priests or pastors have to say about this, they will truly state that when it comes to money, people will change because they are becoming greedy. Aside from that, they always say that whatever you have right now is worthless if you die, because you can't bring it with you. I believe that what we should do instead is help each other and not lose focus of our religious beliefs just because of the abundance of wealth.
4133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 18, 2021, 04:31:07 AM
Gambling taught me to be careful with my money and increased my literacy because after losing a couple of times in any game of chance a person begins to study it more deeply. In addition, I believe that by trading cryptocurrencies and gambling a person can increase the level of self-control.

You are right, a lot of negative and positive learning and feel there are many things that need to be adept at controlling thoughts, emotions and must pay attention to situations and conditions of the heart. Because a lot of uncontrolled emotional recognition only causes us to get dizzy when gambling. It is true that many people around me say gamble calmly and enjoy every game.

However, I believe that most people would struggle to maintain the same level of calm , like my self but I do enjoy my game. I am not sure why, but playing a very intense game in gambling causes me to rattle and at the same time mental block, I am unable to think very clearly. This happens to me most often when I am playing card games, which is why I am not very interested in them. I am more interested in slots or dice games, or anything simple because the happiness that comes from gambling is an unexplainable
4134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 18, 2021, 03:55:38 AM
Yow Tomorrow is the big day. I just saw their setup now which is cooler than last year! Also ther rule right now is not the same before they are changing as always, it was points system unlike before that if ever you win , you will win money also and the higher the bracket the higher the price which in the last game any team could clutch since the price in the last game is really higher and also the points. I think they saw a flaw from it thats why they change it. Here you go Tig which his team mates , as usual the most hype person in the game , same with jemz and all the Team Liquid players.

4135  Economy / Economics / Re: Mindset game for the skilled and unskilled. on: November 18, 2021, 03:20:09 AM
That's possible because even you're skilled into a task that you can do easily and make a lot of money out of it yet you're not financially literate, you don't know how to save your profit from that skill.
But there's also the situation that even how hard you're trying to save but you have a lot of obligations and burden which you're bringing, you won't be wealthy but you're responsible.

You are absolutely correct. I read on a Facebook post that not all people are paid the same when it comes to salary because there are types of people who do not have obligations, such as those you mentioned, and others who do have obligations, such that their salary is insufficient. As far as skills are concerned, we should point out that if you have abilities, I believe you have not yet landed your dream job that will make you successful. However, don't just think about jobs; think about business as well, because while not all jobs will make you wealthy, business may be able to make you wealthy.
4136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does someone use trading bots? on: November 17, 2021, 07:12:30 PM
Hello everyone.

Recently I became interested in the topic of trading bots, so I decided to study the information about it. After reading several articles, I realized that there are many different opinions and therefore it is very difficult to decide for myself whether to use bots well or badly.

So I decided to try a few bots. I drew attention to the bot announcement from NWC. I think it's better to use software from a well-known company. This gives more confidence in a good result. As far as I understand, a bot for testing on historical data uses certain algorithms to automatically detect the most important patterns on the charts.

However, is it possible that, in addition to simply detecting patterns, the bot also calculates the technical price target and looks at how many patterns reach it, so that the percentage of success of the trade can be determined?

How do you feel about trading bots? Have you ever used it and can you advise something about this?

I believe what is known with this is EA into MT4 platform, and my point of view with this is that it is really working if you have a lot of money, but it is risky. I found a lot of EA before and tested them in demo, some are promising and some are not, but there is one that I am really impressed with because it follows the trend, the strategy was about trend follow which is kinda bot but it is better to use it as an indicator to minimize losses but bots are not as good as us humans because they were programmed. I would rather use all of the indicators rather than the bot.
4137  Economy / Economics / Re: There are many online jobs out there. Crypto Opportunity. on: November 17, 2021, 03:29:44 AM
I am one of those unemployed guy who's trying his luck in online space. Ive been searching for almost months and trying everything I see that has potentials to gain money. However, these online jobs needs technical knowledge about specific task that you will do and most likely needs time to learn. A lot of time which made me conclude that daytrading is such a blessing. I tried it with a capital of 10$ and 100hrs worth of reading books about trading that is available online. Luckily, it pays me well.

Cool! But if you don't have money to invest, invest your time instead. I've been looking for ways to make money online for a year now, and I've found that most of the work requires technical knowledge, which I have. However, there are a lot of competitors, and you need to be the best in your niche in order to succeed. I've spent a lot of time watching tutorials to improve my skills, but this takes a lot of time that you can reap for a long time. In order to make money online, it is important to first educate yourself about the industry and what it entails then that is the time you can earn money.
4138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nebraska, Gambling might be too expensive for casinos on: November 17, 2021, 02:39:04 AM
If you go through the average revenue of a casino it won't look like a big money being spend for licensing. On an average a casino earns minimum of $72 million a year. How far this is true, I'm not sure about it. However if that's true mere $1 million doesn't look like a big money. Same time there are casinos that have gone bankruptcy, but those are very rare.

Agreed, and if you see a lot of casinos out there, it means they are able to pay the licensing fee, which I believe was a small amount of money to them because they are making a lot of money. If you are starting a business, you should first determine whether you can recoup your expenses while also making a profit, because it is pointless to start a business only to lose money. $1 million is significant to us (small people) because we do not earn that much money, but to them it is just a small money.
4139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 17, 2021, 02:07:50 AM
-snip
yeah, I agree, gambling has more negative characteristics than positive ones and people here probably knew that since subjects regarding the negative effects of gambling have been talked about here on the board(at least every time there is a thread regarding addiction or related to it). I think it is not bad to sometimes talk about what positive characteristics someone could get from gamlbing.

for sure there are more negative aspects than positive ones
of course one can mitigate the negative aspects with practices like limiting bankroll and time available for gambling

it's good to talk about positive sides without ignoring the negatives, and doing the opposite too, talking about negatives without ignoring the positive sides of it
Nothing on this world doesnt have negative nor positive impact once you do engage with it and gambling isnt an exemption to that which you should really mind off on how things should be done on a controlled manner.

If you do let yourself get lost in track then you would really be having those kind of common problems with gambling. If you do really mind off
on how things do work then you would really able to save your ass.

Just be mindful on your actions then you would really make yourself able to avoid unfortunate things.

If you are just an occasional gambler, you will enjoy this game and maybe relax yourself from all the stress you are receiving from your life. But that's right, if you will not handle this well, you will end up being addicted to this game. So yes, everything in excess is not good. But you can always look at the positive side of this industry and apply to yourself so you will not be screwed with your financials but rather give you some relaxation when needed.

As a matter of fact, I believe that at first, it would be difficult to see the positive aspects of gambling, given that the majority of people's focus is on making money. During gameplay, you'll notice that you're becoming addicted, which can lead to financial losses, but if you focus on the positive aspects of the game, you'll be able to keep yourself in check. We could see a positive impact if we really looked into it, but the truth is that most people are addicted to it, so we're more likely to see negative effects. Aside from the negative aspects, there are also many people who make money from gambling which is a positive side.
4140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 16, 2021, 05:55:26 PM
I think what I have learnt from gambling as well as crypto trading is how to move on from the loss, if we keep regretting about past is not going to change anything so that's what I say about gambling made me better which also helped me personally in lot of financially tight situation to overcome it but never misunderstand that I overcame with gambling wins because I am sort of unlucky so didn't made any considerable amount to be honest, I just let it to drain for fun and nothing more serious.

Well this really a good point and a moved. I do gambling but not that a lot but still i cant moved on with losses and sometime i tend to try to get it back and end up losing. As my self i think the positive impact with gambling to me is taking risk tho the possibilty of winning is too low and thinking of how do i make it high to win in higher rate because before i am scared in risking but when i started gambling i say to my self i bet this money why not invest it , it is like gambling to me and thats the time i started investing
