I don't really  want to focus on single stocks to prove a point. Just wanted to point out that this is leagally very thin ice and also i hope you don't exploit the sheep.

Take care

I think we have enough clients as of now. Improving blockchain explorer would be more useful.

I disagree, we have only one standalone client for windows.

blockexplorer update

http://www.nxtexplorer.com/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=10

timestamp problem fixed. running fast and smooth again.
if you find any issue please let me know.

I would like to see instantaneous transactions updates (even the unconfirmed). It's still pretty slow compared to something like blockchain info

yes, currently there is a ~15-30 min delay due to the old cron api fetch approach.
with switch to h2 by jean-luc, an instant db access is possible and on my todo list.
have to write a lua db gateway for this, no rocketscience but eats time.

I read somewhere that reallife work is keeping you busy. Did the ETA for your client change? (iirc end of the month?)

The thing with investment advise from a total stranger is, that he is the one proifiting the most. he will buy before you, and sell before you.

Must be nice!

as long as you make the amount promised does that matter

Well, it is illegal ( not that anyone cares about that in here...) and yes, because if this thing gets bigger, the last guys to sell will be the bagholders.

Just look at the volumes of his posted shares.

50million shares of a pennystock for 0.001-0.01 AUD. That means that on average maybe 250.000 AUD in value were traded (maybe even half if this program double counts). Now lets say he moves 20k himself, and 20k are his follower sheep. Than you have 40k invested at start, and maybe 200k at the end. He may very well be able to cashout his immense gains, but as the number of the stake of the followers grows, the chance for all of them to come out ahead will sink significantly.

Basically it is a ponzi. Many people were already convicted for this. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markus_Frick for example

the term i believe your looking for is Pump and Dumps, people can research it, or just watch the film wolf of wall street, but your wrong again, i think you have not read the thread, when you say AUD do you mean australian dollar. i have not given advice on any australian company, i only trade UK, canada and USA stocks.

see the stock VMP, that rose 700% and look at the current price, are you telling me that was a pump and dump, people can still sell for the massive profit today when they bought in when i told them. that can't be a pump and dump, secondly, your right where if i were pumping and dumping there are always casualties, i cannot see anyone posting they have been victim of this method. i do not play with pump and dumps, it will only bring in short term profit. after the first trade the game is over as there are people who have lost money. i give advice where you invest your money on credible and factual info, you hold and sell out when i say. everyone makes a profit not just some. there are thousands of companies on lse. users are not piled into one company, investments are spread out. some of the stocks may rise more than others, so as long as your making money that shouldn't be a problem for that person.

I was refering to that pic: ( i jumbled up NZD and AUD)

Well, ponzi might be the wrong word, but i am not a native speaker.

4147  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 26, 2014, 11:12:14 PM
I need to get to at least full member...there is a pretty big gap between member and full member

Yeah, but there's a pretty big difference between the signatures too. I need to get to hero member haha.

Hero Member = 1.5 years of active posting. That's not that easy.

I registered in early 2011 and I am still no Hero member Sad

Yes, that is a lot of posting, but if I understand the calculation correctly, you get 14 activity point for every 2 week period (that you have made at least 1 post in)...correct?

If you post 1 time in a 14 day period, you maximum possible activity gets 14 points higher. But your activity can't ever be higher than your postcount. So it is a bit of both.

If you post much, your activity will always be lower than the postcount Wink

Sponsoring a pitch-off event at a TechCrunch meetup would be good for public exposure. It will put NEM in front of developers, investors, start-ups, entrepreneurs and tech writers.

4153  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: MTGOX <-> BTC BID/ASK on: March 26, 2014, 11:00:11 PM
No, actually it's pretty much reasonable to assume that his personal assets will be paid out last if they were held on Gox. Since he is the CEO of Gox his own assets held on Gox do NOT flow into the creditor mass. It's pretty easy to explain actually: The failure to stop trade on the day of the discovery does make him personally liable. And there is also the issue of him being the debtor, and being creditor and debtor at the same time for the same insolvency is regulated in the same way as in most other countries: ALl the other creditors come first.

This only applies IF his personal assets were in Gox. Sure his stock in MTgox and the companies reserves are now gone, but he said some time back that he owns 100k+ BTC in his own stash NOT on the site. So there is that.
4154  Other / Archival / Re: closed on: March 26, 2014, 10:58:52 PM
I am not sure, how people will be able to trust exchanges in the future, when every third exchange is stealing or getting "hacked".

So sad Sad

Hey, is it possible in the lobby to have a star, or a highlight, for tables where we are already sitting?

Does anyone know if the site owners are adding this?

That would be indeed nice. Good feature request!

There is also the issue of MK Bitcoins on Gox. since he had allegedly held his own bitcoins there you can count those 120k out of your equation since customers come first. So it's 750k-120k = 630k
200k/630k + Debts in Fiat. There is also the issue of claiming your share in the insolvency proceedings, and recent deposits will most certainly get larger shares back than people who had their coins there for years.

lmao, another 3+ year case to show that MK is personally liable and should pay out of pocket to creditors.

that won't happen i fear. It is very rare that owners are liable for a bankruptcy. it is sad!
4159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with the stolen BTC from MT Gox on: March 26, 2014, 10:48:35 PM
that is not the reason. he had about 100k btc prior to this year. no reason to need anymore

Greed.
This might be a reason Smiley

100k BTC is nothing when you think about 500k or more.

how could that big guy spend that kind of money?

theres only so much frappucchinos for sale in the world
