John, can you please post the real IP address for cryptsy.com

I believe it is 166.78.0.180 but just want to confirm it.

~nh

Ip changes from time to time and you should not be accessing the site using the ip

BigVern

What is your SOA for DNS?  nslookup still returns the incapsula.com records

a:\BA\main>nslookup cryptsy.com 75.75.75.75
Server:  cdns01.comcast.net
Address:  75.75.75.75

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    cryptsy.com
Addresses:  199.83.133.236
          199.83.134.32

I thought it was rackspace, but that wont' let me query it.

a:\BA\main>nslookup cryptsy.com ns1.rackspace.com
Server:  ns.rackspace.com
Address:  69.20.95.4

*** ns.rackspace.com can't find cryptsy.com: Query refused

Incapsula is the correct entry.   That is our new security service.

BigVern

Ergo, Incapsula was the Cryptsy hacker ~1 month after the above posting, thus Paul Vernon can return home from China now.
4142  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: eBoost is a SCAM !!! on: January 05, 2017, 03:49:26 AM
Just wanting to say that none of the recent Newbies is me, and am not sure if they are perhaps the same person sticking it up eBoost's ass.

That said, eBoost is a fuckin' scam!

This scammed was hosted ico on bittrex, bittrex did this bad to their customers and made them lose money, ico investors now are pathetic baghoders. Sorry for their losses

Personally, I like the part where Marshall Long, Nicholas Thomas and Lionel Iruke came to this eBoost scam thread and tore us naysayers a new asshole via addressing each and every talking point with sound reasoning as to why we were totally off-base with our assessment, whereupon we humbling apologized and moved on to say Hashing24 or, my other favorite, Voxels, not to mention LeoCoin and <insert your favorite(s) here>.

you know.... that leo iruke picture almost looks like that unidentified cryptsy sales person people asked about. the darker skinned man i mean. anyone got that picture to side by side compare. i could swear they are the same person though my memory can be fuzzy at times

From the desk of There's Always a Solution:

I for sure thought I would've found it here: https://www.google.com/search?q=%22bitcointalk.org/index.php%3Ftopic%3D1173703%22&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS549US549&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiN0ePHi6rRAhWh5IMKHYf8ChMQ_AUICSgC&biw=1215&bih=541&dpr=1.13 (brings back memories)

I know exactly which pic you're in reference to, so give me a sec, bud.

"To the hunt!"

"Darker skinned man in these here parts. Yeah, I read that Reddit thread and looked into it but they were mistaken. Who are you guys again, and with what news outlet?"

EDIT: Just found it!

Some may ask why we didn’t report this to the authorities when this occurred, and the answer is that we just didn’t know what happened, didn’t want to cause panic, and were unsure who exactly we should be contacting.

"If Cryptsy only had at least three security experts on staff, then Paul Vernon would've had a clue as to what 3-LAs the event could've been reported to."

Wow!
What a well deserved beat down on a serial scammer such as Christopher Larry Bates.  He's a scumbag.  Everything he does is a scam.  He's pure shit.

I wouldn't  be so passionate about my disgust with Christopher Larry Bates except for the fact that he ripped me off.  It wasn't much btc but it was enough to make me disgusted by getting ripped off by a scammer like Christopher Larry Bates.
You can go back and look at his methodology.  He acts like a big man.  Gets pictures of himself to impress.  Then scams as much btc as he can without ever doing anything of substance.  He's scum.  Pure trash.  People like him should be locked away in cages for life.  It's obvious that he's mentally unstable.  Who knows what a guy like him will do next.
Best advice is to sever any and all ties with mentally unstable individuals like this guy.

Thank me later

Add Marshall "Stinky" Long's ventures to your list of entities to stay far clear from, a serial liar in this space up there with Craig Steven Wright, Nick Spanos, and my favorite pet, Leroy Fodor, la crème de la crème (makes me cream just just thinkin' 'bout him).

Change of subject:

Since there's no "Feel Sorry for Me" thread, I'll post my last night's experience here.

I fell off a sidewalk in the dark and bruised my left hand around the pinkie and ring finger area, including busting the skin in two places, albeit not too deep. In my infinite wisdom, later that evening, since it wasn't swollen too badly, I opted to jack off, thinking that the exercise would do it good. Boy, was I so mistaken! It's now swollen twice as bigCongrats. Amazingly, I'm still able to type sans any major discomfort, thus allowing me to share with you kind folks to be careful out there.

Please advise me if you desire a pic of the swollen hand or stained washcloth (not talkin' 'bout the blood-stained one).

They say if it stays swollen for longer than 4 hours, you should consult a physician.

Dr. Vlad in 5 ..... 4 .... 3 ...

Testimony:

"Dr. Vlad cured my swelling in half in only one visit."

With a slew of new accounts LOL

^this is why i'm harping on this Horus thing>>while he is still running game on poloniex , all the while in the aftermath of his wake cryptsy victims flounder to grasping straws!!!  Roll Eyes  meh

No shit , it pisses me off every time i see him popup in the trollbox there ,HE was the one telling people to send in their id documents and other bullshit for weeks/months while he knew very fucking well that that wasnt the problem. wtf was done with all those documents , a shady company like that worrisome  to think of where and to who that info might have been sold to.
Now he's all like he didnt know bullshit bullshit!. plenty of people that didnt even work there knew and could see the writing on the walls read between the lines whatever.
He should just get a new handle and dump Horus because im sure im not the only that gets fing annoyed when i see that name popup in the trollbox like nothing happend joking around with the mods there .

^exactly i was saying it was a phishing scam from the get go before they even enacted "verification" ... then look what happens!!! Horus new damn well he was helping scam innocent people!! shame on him and everyone who worked for this outfit! boo :\

To be fair, you both have valid points of which I'll refrain from further commenting on, with apologies, thus allowing Horus to once again address your sentiment(s). Yes, I'm well known for beating dead horses, but opted to not further beat this one, again, with apologies.

Hey, Vlad, quick aside, not that an aside is warranted for this thread, but I digress, albeit evoking 'digress' too early was ... Where was I? Oh yeah, Vlad, I believe it's been asked before, and if the case apologies for asking again: Is your avatar a depiction of your true self? Taxing my memory, I wanna say yes, but unsure, hence the question <insert 'digress' now>.

Yeah it's him.. i asked him before eh.

I told him shit bruh, YOU A MAN GOD !
He's one studly looking mother fucker  (and that is coming from a 100% straight guy here)

If you are more into Application development then follow others' advice about C++ and ASM.

For Web development learn PHP, MySQL, Bootstrap and Javascript and you can build just about site.

Personally, I'm well-versed with Wordpress, and even changed something once in PHP, ergo me's a professional coder.  Tongue

dude i flagged everyone i could from cryptsy and got a lifetime ban from the cryptsy trollbox for pointing out and making fun of the obvious liars and scammers at work i.e. Horus and company... !!!  Grin lolzzz

why is everyone still bashing Horus. he has been far more helpful tward the investigation then 99% of the people on this thread. with the exception of around 3-4 people.

yes he worked for a company that was a scam, but he accepts that and has helped fix the situation more then making up for his lack of insight into the inner workings of his employers.

if whoever you work for turns out to be embezzling money and is caught its not your responsibility. horus has done more then enough to make up for doing his job.

hell if it weren't for his help i doubt the class action lawsuit would even be possible.

so maybe instead of placing blame on him you should be thanking him for his help in resolving this.

I'll +1 the above, having spoke with Horus in person on the phone a couple months back, hence removing virtually most, if not all doubts in re his involvement with Cryptsy, that in spite of me at least once royally sticking it up his Canadian Freemason haggis-exiting orifice.  Tongue

suchmoon, it was already filed in the former: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990219.msg17386321#msg17386321

ODD! Just received the following via an email account I've only used here (and not disclosed) not too long ago.
Is that a new email address created recently, or an old email address that was not used anywhere else? Please define 'not too long ago'.

With apologies, upon further review I see where I made my mistake, for the above did stem from a dated account, same one used and expressed in the OP. I had several email accounts opened at one time performing a weekly cleanup and got confused for a sec. Chalk this up as my first mistake for 2017.  Roll Eyes
