A brief update on the PUBG Global Championship 2021. Six teams have already arrived at the site to familiarize themselves with the surroundings and begin practicing (as always). TLGNT and Pio are having an interview, I believe they have a picture together talking, I'm not sure when they will release their interview, and a lot of fans are somewhat disappointed because a few teams have Visa issues, so they would change roosters and some players are their coach, which is I think really bad because it should be their player, they practice a ton of months then they have a Visa problem, which is really disappointing.
4142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams? on: November 16, 2021, 02:06:01 AM
Many novices will be deceived because they are inexperienced. But there are also many experienced people who are deceived, because people are greedy by nature, they will confidently think that no one can deceive them, and some scammer projects will be very mature, so that people can't see the goodness of this project. Bad. Many people believe it and lose their money. We can only be more careful when investing and don't trust anyone lightly. Don't be too greedy.

Not also greedy but trusting people that is why those experience one get scammed because they listen to the people that they trust to do this or invest to this and that. It is really difficult to avoid scams if you dont do research thats why almost all of us saying that we should do our research before investing since it could detect a potential project or avoid it since we done our research . Experience will follow over that time. The key is to find valuable information about that project
4143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: November 15, 2021, 07:11:58 AM
Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?

I want to invest in a promising project called CheckDot. Their token sale starts this weekend and I think this is a good opportunity to successfully invest money.

Share your thoughts on such an investment. Maybe you have some interesting cases on this matter.

New projects that become successful often offer the best ROI but the chances of new successful projects is less than 40% from my own observation so it's up to you to DYOR on whatever new project you're interested in investing and also put in money that you can afford to lose.
Personally I still invest in new projects.

Agree and it is only few right now that is really promising which theres a lot of shitcoins right now. I would say the same do it in your own risk since we dont know what will happen and also there are scam projects right now so better do your research and at the same time be cautious. Unlike before that most of the new coins are really good and you will really earning a lot from it and also they are listed in the exchanges by weeks or months unlike now that it takes forever.
4144  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption by banks - good or bad? on: November 15, 2021, 03:11:18 AM
The easiest thing is to make bitcoin a product of banks, this will make customers able to deposit and withdraw instantly, banks should immediately adopt bitcoin because bitcoin users are increasing, if not adopting bitcoin it will make customers continue to decrease because they prefer to save their money to bitcoins.
so you mean the bank must accept a deposit in the form of bitcoin? I think most people would prefer to keep bitcoins in their own wallets. if banks don't adopt bitcoin customers will continue to decrease, I think this is a bit of an overstatement. I think customers will keep coming to the bank because they want to keep their fiat money safe, those who store money in bitcoin of course their goal is to invest not keep money safe.

Perhaps another mode of payment could be used? I agree that it would be extremely difficult if they only accepted bitcoin deposits because the majority of us use fiat currency. Also, I believe that I would prefer to keep my bitcoin in my own wallet rather than in a bank or with anyone else for the sake of security and also to reduce the amount of hassle in the event that the price of bitcoin increases. For example, imagine that a large number of people deposit a large amount of bitcoin in a bank and then the price of bitcoin increases by a factor of ten. I believe that is the time when a large number of people will be queuing up at banks in order to obtain their bitcoins.
4145  Economy / Economics / Re: Credit cards | A scam or a tool? on: November 15, 2021, 01:37:34 AM
I have used a credit card but if we are not wise in using it then our debt will pile up

I stopped using credit cards when the interest on my debt seemed eternal and never paid off even though I always paid on time, since then I realized that credit cards are just a bank tool to bind users

Be wise to use a credit card, don't use it to spend on luxury items that are not important
What you say is right. We need to be wise using a credit card because the credit card is just a tool and give easiness to us to pay something without using our money but at the end of the month, we still need to that debt to the credit card company plus the fee. Because of the easiness to pay anything we want, we can forget to control the use and make us pay a lot of money at the end of the month. I still prefer to use a fiat or debit card because that gives me an allowance to control the use of my money.
I have never owned a credit card in my life because of this. A cheat that I have is that my wife does have a credit card, I do not use it at all but she likes to use it and she pays it with whatever she earns, the only times we ever had to use it was when we had hospital issues and health issues, which I had to use a few times as well, so I did used credit card twice in my life thanks to my wife, but that's it.

I do not use it on my regular life and our home doesn't get anything with credit card. She just likes to buy shoes, dresses, make up all the things women usually buys and uses her credit card but we always cover everything at the start of the month without a problem, we never go beyond and leave a debt. I handle everything about the house, all the food, all the groceries, all the needs, bills everything and pay straight out of my pocket. It is still a card, it is just debit card that pays from what I have and not create any debt.
You should be grateful that your wife can control herself using a credit card because some wives lose control when they go to the mall and see many branded products and want to buy using their credit cards. I can say this because some of my family friends do that and fortunately, their husbands can pay the debt at the end or start of the month.

I rarely use debit cards and I do not own a credit card because I do not like debt. I still prefer using cash or transferring the money directly to the third party I often use to pay my bills. But I prepare my debit card just in case I do not carry enough money to pay with cash.

In the same way, there are some people who can't keep their credit cards from being used by themselves or their family members; I'm not sure why they enjoy being in debt just because they are purchasing their desires. As for me, I don't have a credit card, not because I don't like debt, but simply because I don't like it; if I don't have money, I shouldn't buy something because I can't afford it. When people advised me to obtain a credit card, I simply replied, "No, thanks, I don't want that." Also, there are online shopping sites that allow you to borrow money in order to make purchases on their website. A lot of people appreciate this, but I personally do not. We should exercise self-control when it comes to these items because we will be required to pay for them afterwards.
4146  Economy / Economics / Re: Preparing for the future. on: November 14, 2021, 01:50:14 PM
Maybe we should place focus on ourselves so as to be the focus, the future seems bleak if we don't focus in our present lifestyle.
We all need skill's,we can't just rely on our certificate for jobs,we should start practicing how to make money work for us and not working for money.

This is a good idea, however putting it into action will be really challenging. As for myself, I would like to do this, but I lack the necessary financial resources. This is similar to the axie game right now, and if I ever have the capital to purchase a team and hire a scholar to play the game, I believe this is the best option because it is passive income, and we could say that the money is working for us, but for the time being, it is difficult for me because I do not have enough money.

I've finally updated the Calendar in the OP!  Cool also changed the main pic...it was either Team spirit, EDG or NaVi...ended up choosing the team with the GOAT 🔥

Who else is pumped for PUBG? [...]
Ay! I added PUBG to the Calendar cos i was told it's gonna the biggest tournament of the year this month, too bad it's going to be online tho.
I've never watched competitive PUBG, but i'll probably watch this event cos November won't have that many tournaments as previous months and i'll have more time to watch different esports (:

Thank you for adding it Cheesy . PUBG is not really famous now a days but still worth watching its competition if you are into FPS games which youll enjoy also. You are right only few have tournaments right now that is global because of the pandemic but still pubg is getting through which i am glad. Cant wait for the tournament day hahaha i should watch while i am working remotely Cheesy
4148  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto for the development of local farmers...can.....? on: November 14, 2021, 07:57:20 AM
I think the fact is this kind of project won't really help the agriculture sector, they don't have use as what they had promised to deliver it correctly.
Not really, no one hasn't thought of the right thing yet that can help the agricultural sector when it comes to cooperating with crypto. There's one that I've heard of which is Farming Tales, you can actually get your profits in the form of produces from their partner agricultural sector or you could do a token although I still don't completely understand how it all benefits both sides, at the least we have some point of reference for future projects right?

I agree, I was also perplexed because it is still not applicable to the farming sector because crypto is, in my opinion, for broad terms that could apply to all but when only money is involved, when it comes to farming, machines or technology is the best which is a tangible because they are growing crops or other things However, I believe that it is still usable as a payment mechanism, but it has had no significant influence on their lifestyle or farming operations.
4149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one can continue ignoring Bitcoin on: November 13, 2021, 07:33:07 AM
I remember years ago people were thinking bitcoin is just a game in some cases they said it's a scam and some people were saying bitcoin and are saying it doesn't have any value. Now, after rising the marketcap and spreading economic freedom all over the world, there are not many people thinking that way, and just like you said none can ignore bitcoin like it's nothing valuable, the people and governments who like to invest and accept bitcoin are doing it even the governments who are against bitcoin, like China, they can not also ignore it at all.
those who ignore bitcoin today are the ones who are really stupid, even the country of El Salvador has seen the great potential of bitcoin and then adopted it. from year to year the enthusiasm of the people has increased sharply and beat the fud that continues to be made by the Chinese government and other countries opposed to bitcoin.

Totally agree with you, and I believe that those who are sneering at bitcoin are only saying it because they secretly desire one themselves, hehe. No one knows why they are ignoring it, and I have no conclusive explanation other than the fact that bitcoin proves that it is valuable. However, I believe that these people have been conned in the past, and they are just claiming that it was because of the bitcoin that they lost their money. Well, I believe that we should not be concerned about these types of people since it is their problem, not ours.
4150  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs. Bitcoin on: November 13, 2021, 06:41:56 AM
They might be declining, but they are still high and I doubt they will fall down to a point where it wouldn't be a good investment. The thing is, I don't see BTC is competing with real estate when it comes to investing. They both offer solid options depending on what your goals are. An to be fair, real estate has one up on BTC investing as you can use it for some time and not lose much on it, so that is a big factor for some people.
Investing in real estate needs a huge amount of capital which is only rich people can afford this but in Bitcoin, we can make use of small funds which even poor people could still afford to risk a few bucks out from their budget. But if I have enough capital, I'd rather choose Real estate for long-term investment as this never happens that it losses its value instead, it is growing yearly (and less risk). While investing in crypto is the 2nd option, can be very profitable in the short term especially when you are in perfect timing.

Anyways, they are both good investments OP. It is just matter of how we manage our chosen investment and have to choose where you feel you are good at.
both are good investment tools, but have different characteristics. if I have a lot of money, then I will choose both to invest, but indeed most of the capital I will put in real estate, because for me there is less risk and prices will definitely go up every time. different from bitcoin which has fluctuations, but can generate fantastic profits

You make an excellent point; bitcoin carries a higher risk, but it also carries a higher reward. Real estate is good if you want to be safe, but if I had enough money, I think I would invest half of it in bitcoin because it has a high return but also a higher risk, though if I lose that much money, I still have real estate to fall back on, so it is better to invest in bitcoin now than regret later. Just buying a few bitcoin is sufficient. Also, don't put all of your eggs in one basket so that you can still make a profit if something goes wrong.
4151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: advantages in the cryptocurrency industry on: November 13, 2021, 05:08:23 AM
Promotion is necessary for every coin. Now it is very important to attract attention to the coin or project because competition on cryptocurrency market is very high and there are a lot of projects.
Even those who have done promotions are not necessarily successful even though they are known by many people because every project must have a good and real product so that it can be successful and also it will not be wasted time when making a promotion.

Agreed, but this is absolutely necessary if you want to publicize your coin and get people to know about it. The most important thing is to have a whitepaper and a roadmap so they can see what you want to do. Also, no matter how good your WP or roadmap is, without promotion, no one will know about your promising coin, so both are crucial and should be addressed but still it really depends on your project if it would be successful or not .
4152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 11, 2021, 06:45:23 PM
I haven't watched the PUBG championships either, so I'll try to watch this year. Guys, please tell me on the site https://liquipedia.net/pubg/PUBG_Global_Championship/2021 I could not find Russian teams. Do not the Russians take part in this championship, except for individual representatives on different teams?

Well EU teams are the best in this games! haha Faze, Team Liquid , Navi also there are new teams which EU is really dominant to this game! In the past years EU teams are winning the chicken dinner here but last year it was SEA which makes me proud of but still FAZE is the strong contender in this championship now since they improved a lot and they have better rotation now.
4153  Economy / Economics / Re: What's the best advice? on: November 11, 2021, 06:06:32 PM
With the way crypto world is going now and everything is techy futuristic what advice would you give your children when growing up?

Gaming as we know it can now give you monthly payments and as a parent would you allow your kids to get into this just for the money making? To be honest kids are more good at gaming

I'm a father now, and I'm somewhat tech-savvy, but my daughter is still young, so when she's old enough to understand, I could really give them advice, without pressuring them into it, but if they asked, I could really respond. As parents, we cannot control what our children want to do; we can only advise and guide them to be successful, or enlighten them if they are struggling to achieve their goals. However, I am confident that games or play-to-earn games would play a significant role to the teens right now since almost all wants to earn money by only playing games.
4154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you think of Meta (Facebook) allowing bets in the metaverse on: November 11, 2021, 02:04:26 PM
It's really difficult if Meta offers gambling games because over time Meta will be called a gambling place and that can make people who are anti-gambling stay away from it. If it's a promotion place I think it's reasonable as long as they target the ad to users 18+.

The majority of Facebook users are not into gambling and the Facebook brand caters to everybody, they can create their own betting site but it should not be integrated on Facebook, they don't need a betting site they are already on top of their games and they just have to upgrade Facebook but I don't think gambling is the new trend, they have defined social networking I don't think they should change that.

This have a point.  It is the same with gambling that is gambling alone it is like you want to integrate a social media in your gambling site ? Then probably i would say its a no since the real purpose is for gambling, though facebook is huge now but their main goal is for Social not for gambling , i think there would be a part or section on which gambling could integrated but still they dont focus on that. Facebook was made to connect people, not to bet in gambling
4155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I not lose money in trading cryptocurrency? on: November 11, 2021, 08:08:09 AM
All you just need to do is to understand the market for you to know when to invest. It is very important that you have knowledge about it before entering cryptocurrency. But, honestly speaking, there is no investment that doesn't have risk, all you just need to do is to prepare for a potential loss and accept all of it but, must have risk management for you investment to be safe and to minimize your losses. My advice is to take your time and learn, try to know the basic things and understand the market first.

Agree there are no investment that is not having a risk since all involves money it has risk but it is on you if you risking big amount of money. You are right you should invest what you can afford to lose since we dont know what will happen, but having a knowledge before investing is lessen the risk thats why it is really advisable before investing that you need to do your own research and the risk that you will encounter
4156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 11, 2021, 04:52:52 AM
Those 6 guys who voted for Logan, what was your opinion based on? Cheesy On a lucky punch? Or you hope that Mike will run out of stamina faster than Logan?

I think this fight will end with a draw. The idea of this fight is to entertain, to show what boxing is, to show a living legend on a ring, to show a popular blogger. But not to get someone knockout cold.

However, having a loss from Mike Tyson in a boxing record also is valuable Smiley You can tell grandsons that you have fought against a legendary Tyson, but lost in a close fight Cheesy

Yeah, it's a foregone conclusion that it'll be a draw or Mike will win. This type of game or event isn't very good because they're only interested in our money, and I believe it's pointless because it's not competitive, it's just a show, and they only want our money, but people still watch it. It was still entertaining, but when it comes to betting, I believe this is not a good bet because we can say that it was simply cooked by the officials.
4157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you think of Meta (Facebook) allowing bets in the metaverse on: November 11, 2021, 01:21:56 AM
I don't like this idea of Metaverse very much. It looks like a rebranded centralized internet owned by Zuckerberg.
Can't we just be glad by having an open source internet where a plenty of gambling platforms already exist offering high quality services to their customers?

Well that is not really the case right now people wants innovation at the same time earn money from the public which thats why there are new platforms coming out.  For it is still okay since it was really new to me which could learn a tricks from it or could be really useful in our life , also in gambling there are a lot of websites or physical casinos now so i think where you are doing a casino hopping then you will be out of fun from it.
4158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: November 10, 2021, 05:51:23 PM
Crypto is not popular in my homeland. People in my homeland love to invest stocks and bonds. And real estate is the most popular investment. Only few people invest in crypto. My dad loves to invest in stocks but he seldom has a positive net income from the stock market. It’s the fact that crypto is a better tool to earn money, especially for the Altcoin. Then., I try to persuade my dad to invest in Eth and BNB. They’re worth to invest. Take myself as a good example, I spent the weekly pocket money on my first Eth two years ago and earn more than 10X of money. It seems that Eth is still going up in the future. It’s a good investment during this economic recession period. I tried my very best to persuade my dad to buy Altcoin like Eth and BNB but he thought that crypto was very risky and unreliable at all. Investing in crypto is the best way to earn money in this economic recession. It means that my family loses the chance to become rich since my dad does not invest in crypto.
It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

In theory it might be difficult for me to persuade someone to invest in crypto without knowing how it works, the risks and benefits they will get. Some risks that potential investors need to know, I would suggest Stablecoins so they know how to profit from holding altcoins like the top coin list on CoinMarketCap.

Not just theory, but it would be extremely difficult to persuade someone to invest in something if he does not have knowledge of it, unless you explain it to him in such a way that he is convinced that he will invest. People are more cautious about investing these days, so they will seek knowledge before investing unless they are completely trusting you, in which case they will invest because they have complete faith in you.
4159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: November 10, 2021, 12:53:09 PM
Who else is pumped for PUBG? It was noticed that there are new contenteders for Group A in PCS, which included a team from the Philippines. I'm both excited and worried because Group A is a very powerful team that has also been in Pro since the game's beginnings. This would be a challenge for them because they would have to substitute a few members due to passport issues, and they would have to rotate and practice again because two members were unable to join. Well, a lot of teams could win the winner winner chicken dinner, so let's wait and see what happens.
4160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you worst experience on crypto on: November 10, 2021, 07:28:32 AM
My worst experience is forgot my private key and json file and stupid me i don't back up my important file in email. But after this case, i becoming be more carefull about all of my investment stuff.
Was it a MEW wallet? Lol, same experience but it did not hurt me a lot since I don't have a decent amount in the certain wallet. But good to hear that you learn from your experience, we just have to be more careful next time as we are dealing with money here. I never thought of sending it to an email, that sounds safe but the json file only, now the private key or password.

That is primarily the issue with using a private key, which MEW does not recommend because you may misplace it or fail to save it. The best is a hardware wallet like trezor, which is very safe, but for those who cannot afford it, we should store it in a safe place, such as having it in your drive in PC, in your email, in your flash drive, and also in Google Keep, which is what I usually do in case I lose one so I still have a backup even though all of my wallets have no money but in case I really need it haha.
