4161  Economy / Economics / Re: Take a look at the future of Bitcoin from the gold standard system on: July 31, 2021, 09:10:04 PM
it may also not be an exaggeration to say that bitcoin is currently better than gold with the positive trend experienced by bitcoin at this time, and even bitcoin can easily be used as a world currency for legal transaction needs in various parts of the world, if it's really not too much to speculate on the most popular trends for now

They are both better but has their own pros and cons. right now bitcoins surpass gold in terms of ROI if you invest at the right tie but if you only want to save your money with a little increase in your capital then you can go for the gold for high assurance of not getting the volatility that we have in holding bitcoins. Nevertheless, if you can afford to lose your capital, then there's no need to go for gold. You can always ride the roller coaster in the crypto market and sold all your BTC when the price is high enough from your expectation.
4162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we already in meme coins mania? on: July 31, 2021, 08:37:15 PM
Maybe we are, but I would say this is not good as they don't have good potential in the future.

Elon Musk should be the father of meme coins as he started it with Dogecoin that makes people believe it will rise even $1.
Maybe it's the current hype but like I said it will not last, these people who ride on it now will definitely regret it in the future.

Crypto investment is risky but it will become risky if we don't check the fundamentals of the coins we are investing, instead, we follow the hype.

NFT is more potential than Meme coins because people always using them especially when they have lots of players in the game. where the game economy is alive and the players are more crowded. Meme coins are nothing but a scary pump to dump coin where we see most of them in the past are not worth investing right now since they are already being ignored for most of them are really useless and have nothing to do with it. If you will see the NFT token right now, you will understand how they grow up after years of existence because the players of the games are increasing every day and day will buy those tokens from the start.
4163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🎁🎁 Airdrops or Bounty Campaigns ❓ on: July 31, 2021, 08:17:36 PM
Bounties with the right manager will certainly promote your project up to competitor level in the current market since those guys won't promote something that will destroy their image in this community but you need to consider their demands and requirements before you can hire them. On the other hand, you can also promote your project either doing bounty or airdrops but both of those will only give you a decent amount of followers but not investors. Good luck promoting it that way then.
4164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: July 30, 2021, 05:05:34 PM
Youtube is accessible all over the world so those promotions that they are doing can be watched by young people. Well there is no news on this because even though there is now youtube we are already exposed to gambling since we're young, To be honest, at a young age, I already learned card games and I play on it with my friend's small pot money only.

Most people have already had some experience with gambling when they were young but those who made lots of friends while playing still gambling right now. That's what I witnessed at our place where my batch still playing with their childhood friend the same way they played cards back then but now with stakes on the table. I think that is the reason why most kids right now are involved in this activity even though their parent doesn't allow them to do so. When they see all the basic tutorials on Youtube, most of them will try them and ended up playing every day.

4165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum last forever? on: July 30, 2021, 04:17:19 PM
Ethereum will last longer especially with the introduction of NFT games and other similar platforms that will accelerate the use of tokens in the future which they also need the Ethereum service for their transactions. Literally, no one lasts forever in this world even us, we will perish someday. If you just ponder upon the good things that currently happening around the Ethereum network, that kind of question will have a positive answer. I see on Youtube these few weeks, most of the posts are regarding the NFT games. in this case, the popularity will sky-rocket increase at any moment a few months from now.
4166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: July 30, 2021, 11:10:58 AM
Most likely when the price of bitcoins goes higher, gambling sites competitions are more in demand since those sites will offer good services for a period of time, just like what we have seen in recent months when the bull-run is still active. there are lots of campaigns and promotions. The only question here is when the price will go down suddenly after they promote those freebies and giveaways, that will hurt them economically but not their reputation. that's not totally bad for them I guess.
4167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you create NFTs on Bitcoin? on: July 30, 2021, 10:37:25 AM
That's a serious question: is there a way? How would you do it?

Because of the NFTs hype I have had this question a lot and I've always been unable to answer (something else than "what for?")...

With the current hype of the NFTs right now, you don't want to miss playing just one game to be able to invest for the future because their in-game items might become valuable in the future. Now if someone links it with bitcoin, then that would be also huge cause people will no need to worry about their investment losing its value when time goes by.
4168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: July 29, 2021, 07:09:22 PM
This is a difficult question. I understand that many people want to keep their identity private on the Internet, but when money is involved criminal activities are not far. Without any regulation, online casinos can be misused fot money laundering purposes. KYC is needed to prevent that. Let's say you have some illegal money and would like to wash it, you could sit down at poker table and just lose all the money to a buddy of yours. He will just withdraw and pay some taxes on it as legitimate poker earnings.

That's as easy as possible if look at it that way and the need for KYC will be mandatory if they have this kind of hole. Money laundering would be easy in that way. as we can see, they are using this kind of trick too because they hold a huge amount of money and don't want to give some taxes to their government. Looks like when you have lots of cash you will have a big problem too. Therefor, it is necessary to have this feature when people exploiting your site for some personal purposes.
4169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coca-Cola gets into NFTs for charity on: July 29, 2021, 06:22:42 PM

NFT is the latest trend in cryptocurrency and many companies are rushing to adopt the idea.

I wouldn't call this adoption yet but it's cool, maybe they want to test it for their brand, just to show off that they know what's hot now, as they wouldn't need to raise money.
If this goes well i would see that in the future they could make competitions where prices are nfts. It wouldn't cost them almost anything but would interest the public.

More likely that would be fit for what they currently doing right now and they made it publicly, looks like they're planning something with this one. After all, they're one of those big-time companies that will benefit from the current situation of the crypto industry if they just want to take advantage of it. Surely this will not change the situation of the market but the point here is, they made sure that this one will be published, looks like they probably waiting for the people's feedback regarding it.
4170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i find alt coins before they explod on: July 29, 2021, 12:50:46 PM
That is difficult question to answer, we don't know which altcoin that will go explode but if you planning to invest a meme coin then that is not good idea.. I think you better do research the project not just invest and invest without research you will likely lose your money.

Even though people know it, they wouldn't tell you until the result would be shown in the market because they too speculated that to happen. There are many reasons why a certain coin explodes after it got listed in the crypto exchange and one of them is the popularity and innovative plan for the future success of the project. Most people will take this coin's trait to further expand their investment because of its high assurance and percentage to be successful in the future. As for detecting the coins at their early stage to maximize your profit, then it is next to impossible if you have no experience with the other top coins on how were they when they first started.
4171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: July 29, 2021, 12:14:11 PM
Looks like the other national teams have more impact than the current USA team. Just look how Luka making names in this tournament where they dominated every opponent that comes on their way. Another good basketball play we are seeing here is if we are just focusing on one team. A lot of greatness especially for the recent wins of Slovenia, Luka Magic still continues.
4172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Banking senate hearing (at one point hinting at going after code commiters) on: July 29, 2021, 11:47:56 AM
This is actually one of the reasons we should protect the privacy of programmers, especially the independent ones who are mostly involved in good open-source autonomous projects that entities feel threatened by.
You could build systems that really protect their privacy while still able to hold the programmers accountable for their bad behavior.

Yeah! it should be balanced though, we could not let those who do illegal actions easily hide with those who act righteously. They need to pay for their actions to prevent them from scamming people every day like those fake call centers in India where they are proud to scam people with their so-called tech service. If the senate pays attention to this one, their citizens will not be fallen victim to the foreign scammers anymore.

4173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safety on: July 28, 2021, 02:20:22 PM
You need to play safe every time you post something good about your crypto progress, you are prone to be a victim of a hack in many ways. one of the most common is fake emails where many users have fallen victims. Thankfully, today you can easily recover your account if something like that might happened to you in the future as long as you have the necessary information. The other day, I received some emails from Instagram and Mega file share where it said I need to change my password but I don't really use those sites then I thought it's a clear disguise of a scammer to bait me with those common emails. You need to be careful, don't just click whenever you received such emails. double-check and think about it twice.
4174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr on Aug 21 in Vegas on: July 28, 2021, 12:13:41 PM

Mark Magsayo, an unbeaten orthodox featherweight fighter will up against super bantamweight Julio Ceja.

2 open slots remaining to complete the four-fight main card.

This guy here has the potential to become one of the next big names in boxing history if he can give a good fight here by winning a clean knockout as Manny Pacquiao did years ago when he fought that champion in an undercard fight of Oscar Dela Hoya. that was his first recognition as the announcer was even struggling to pronounce his name. But after he won the fight with clean K.O, They pronounced his name cleanly until now.

4175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: July 28, 2021, 11:45:23 AM
I don't think they should be responsible because just like with any other addictions you can't put the blame on the source knowing they're not forcing their customers to consume the product. But gambling sites are trying their best to come up with a few solutions as long as their players are willing to admit their addiction. The main issue with online gambling addiction is that most gambling sites only have limited solutions since they can only put restrictions within the site. It could affect the gambler in some way but it all comes down on how he'll react or control his addiction knowing that he can always open another account on a different site.

They already clean their hands out when they let you read their agreement when you registered on their site. Since most of the time, things like this are meant to happen, they already make their way out of it. so they won't be blamed if it would happen to you in the future. so the answer is no, they won't take any responsibility after you agreed with their terms.
4176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin season started again? on: July 28, 2021, 05:24:44 AM
Nope, I believe this little price recovery is giving you guys the opportunity to opt out because crypto market can't escape bear market soon, there is no good news that's as crazy as halving season and that's already in the past now, honestly we all favoured in the bull run when BTC was trading at 60k, for me it's good enough as I'm not expecting anything more again

I somewhat Agree at some point but as of now, you can't really tell what's going to happen this 3rd quarter of the year. Since some of those guys managed to gain huge amount of income in the last bull run, I doubt that they will come back again to stress themselves by putting their money back in the crypto market and looking it all over again. Probably they temporarily retire from the industry and will come back again when the opportunity looks good in the crypto market. This is one of the reasons why there aren't so many investors right now than it was before.
4177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Puts Down Bitcoin Use Rumor on: July 28, 2021, 04:51:57 AM
Amazon denies it will use Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies by year end:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2021/07/27/bitcoin-suddenly-gives-up-its-price-gains-after-amazon-shock-sending-ethereum-bnb-cardano-xrp-and-dogecoin-sharply-lower/

Also, the "new" job posting Amazon posted for a crypto expert is old news, by at least a month and a half:
https://www.financialnewsherald.com/2021/06/08/amazon-is-looking-for-a-head-of-product-in-blockchain/

It looks like there is some manipulation going on in the crypto space... Elites pulling the strings? Thoughts?

Oh! it reaches them too quickly huh, we've been talking about this thing just the other day that this will not happen at least with the time period they given. Now the Amazon has confirmed it and there is no such thing to happen in the future. Looks like rumor has some speed buff to spread quickly than good news, the dude who spread it might think he can manipulate the market with mere rumors. Well, it doesn't work like that buddy, you need to be an influencer too.
4178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Bitcoin Poll on: July 27, 2021, 02:59:28 PM
Not yet since PayPal hasn't given any public positive feedback regarding their crypto implementation. Companies like Amazon are waiting for that result before they make any move. Looks like there will be a possibility but next year will probably not be the right time for Amazon because it's not that easy for them to implement that kind of service. For a huge company like that, it requires time before they finalize whatever decision they made on their meetings.
4179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: July 27, 2021, 11:24:41 AM
One of my neighbours, a million years ago, was obviously addict to the slot machines. He would spend hours spinning in a nearby bar (these machines are allowed in bars in my country of origin) and my take is that he would spend a fortune on it. Once, I passed by and I overheard him saying "I am going to teach this machine who is in charge". It sounded like he was attributing some short of conscience and life to the machine and though he could "beat it". I have observed that many people that gamble are into that type of thinking, that is, it is me against this code and this machine and I can actually break the code and win.

I personally do not play slots, but do you think that is why people like slot machines? Short of breaking their code?

I think he hasn't found something good to do except playing those slots and whenever he spend some time playing it, he feels some sort of peaceful mind until he loses all his money on that machine and finds some way to play again. This is not breaking the code man, you're buddy right there is simply addictive to play that slot machine and he doesn't care whatever the result would be as he only thought of winning and when he lost, he will come back again with a thought of getting some deluded mind that he can beat the game.
4180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: July 27, 2021, 10:54:21 AM
I think this is a good start for any boxer that is a newbie to the weight in class because when you move up from your regular weight class, the punches aren't normal and you will feel the pressure as soon as it hits you the first time. There are only a few boxers who managed to take some punches when they fight those who are champions when they moved their weight and that will be not the case for others. so, Valdez, has some good initiative here hope that he will cleanly beat his opponent and fight the next big names in this category.
