4161  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 22, 2020, 11:07:42 AM
There is slow movement in the business compared to the months before pandemic. In USA there isn't much restrictions, because the ultimate goal is to stand high in the economy. Rest of the countries focus on tackling the situation and slow down the loss of lives.

It is true that lot has lost their jobs, software firms have given support to work from home as no one is sure when the situation will come to normal functioning. In some countries the scenario is worse with people suffering to get food. Let's hope for the best as vaccine for covid-19 is being under test in different parts of the world.
4162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: July 22, 2020, 10:38:48 AM
I think most people approach crypto in the wrong way. With "get rich quick" approach.

If you come to crypto with such an attitude, you should never ever invest.

On the other hand, if you actually had to earn it while doing whatever you are usually doing anyway, that involves money?

Examples:
You get crypto as a token of gratitude after making donation to some project. (crowdfunding)
or
You are paid crypto as a bonus to your salary.
or
... (any other examples come to your mind?)

Wouldn't the whole cryptoworld be way more healthy? What do you think about it?

We Cannot blame them because this is the way how Bitcoin and crypto being introduced to them.
I remember i also had this same attitude wayback when i first wanted to invest here.
But my views changed when the realization comes my way and learn that Investing here is not a one night profiting.
we can earn here if we can keep our patience and also our trust in cyyptocurrency.
The flow of market will grow for sure though this will take time.
These people that has this outview will sooner change their mind ,let us
help them realizes all of the things they need to know.
Agreed, when I was introduced to bitcoin myself too had the same thinking. In specific, I was introduced that bitcoin is a virtual money that grows in value continuously. Later only slowly learned about the true market of cryptocurrencies as well as the possible ways of profiting out of it.

When we're new to the cryptocurrency network we'll easily fall as a prey for scammers, because we've got a mind of getting rich out of cryptocurrency investment. It is always good to invest into cryptocurrencies, before that need to know the consequences as well as the way of keeping our funds secure.
4163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 22, 2020, 10:08:55 AM
During the early days of cryptocurrency into usage there were more giveaways. By the time the userbase was very small. Later on the demand for bitcoin kept increasing, and the same led to cyber attacks, hacks, ransom in terms of bitcoin taking control of large networks. None is gonna give free money, there needs to be some work done for the same.

You can find lot many multiplier scripts for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market. Those were also a way to take note of private address details as well as scam people who are new to cryptocurrency usage. Myself experienced when I was new to cryptocurrency, spend more than 0.1btc and later realised the mistake. Good is to be cautious befor losing.
4164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 22, 2020, 09:30:14 AM
I think this old article could help to estimate how big.

Bitcoin Gamblers Have Wagered $4.5 Billion in BTC Since 2014

BTC3 wagered per minute, imagine that. I'm sure that trend increases.
That's really big value when calculated in terms of USD. Regularly we get to see more and more number of casinos and sports betting websites with cryptocurrency acceptance. The gambling market too contributes big to the economy directly and indirectly. As siad in the quote this trend will surely increase over the years.
4165  Economy / Economics / Re: Korea proposes 20% tax on crypto trading starting 2021 on: July 22, 2020, 07:29:54 AM
Governments are against cryptocurrency, because they weren't able to tax the transactions. How Korea government gonna collect the data on transactions. With the growing technology even on the traditional system loop holes were found and people are enjoying tax exemption. With bitcoin transactions things can be done in a anonymous manner knowing the end to end users. Already several countries have done it, and now it's the turn of Korea to tax cryptocurrency trading.
4166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: July 22, 2020, 04:53:41 AM
Staking hasn't reached the gambling platform, maybe in the future this can happen. In one gambling site I came across staking. I think it is the eosbet, there the native token staking is accepted. That might help with the circulation and holding of their native token. If this could've been profitable gambling networks might have encouraged it.
4167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherscan or Ethplorer on: July 21, 2020, 06:52:26 AM
Both are almost similar in its functioning. The usage of etherscan and ethplorer were low compared to the previous years. Once I was much into bounty participation. During those days quite often I check myetherwallet, later the value of my holdings were worth nothing. Maybe once again will start accumulating more and more tokens.
4168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $150K and Ether to $9K on: July 20, 2020, 09:34:49 PM
For the year 2020 big price predictions were made. Importantly it was predicted to grow higher and higher from the beginning of the second half of the year. To the expectation the price has increased a little, but the same didn't got carried forward. Bitcoin reaching such a big price is possible, because during its previous ath none expected it to touch $20k. Everything happened in a short, in such a manner the price pumping can happen. Another thing based on the market volume calculation there is contradiction. This has made me believe the price to reach at least $50k.
4169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of Bitcoin can exceed 10 thousand dollars at the present on: July 20, 2020, 09:52:06 AM
Whats happening with the bitcoin price pumping isn't known to anyone. It just goes on and on, based on the demand to the supply along with the good news circulating around accordance with the cryptocurrencies. As it is speculative even a negative news makes a big change in the market. This way the price of bitcoin can fall low as well as can reach the peak in no time. Reaching $10000 might happen soon, as the price seems to move within the $9100-$9500 limit sometimes it might take little more time.
4170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: July 20, 2020, 09:07:17 AM
Newbies expecting fast returns out of cryptocurrencies were due to the lack of understanding about the cryptocurrency. People need to learn before making an investment, because a small mistake in selection of the right cryptocurrency could cause a big loss.

Always top altcoins give good earning, but that too won't give take place in a short. User needs to have patience, apart from this trading is good to get return out of cryptocurrencies with minimal investment.
4171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 20, 2020, 07:08:45 AM
I don't understand the term honest being used in the opening post. How does you segregate honest money and black money. If you say money issued through the bank is honest money, then I say it is wrong. Now each and everything is associated with data, and banks are the profit makers of the same.

In simple when someone goes for a loan, the bank pays certain percentage (~10%) to the central banking authority. The authority provides the right to issue the amount that's been requested as loan. That means if $10000 is requested as loan, then the bank pays $1000 to the central authority. It gives authentication to provide $10000 to the person requesting loan. Here nothing is transferred just the data. So what the bank has spend is $1000, and when it gets back it receives $10000 along with the interest.

This way with $1000 the banks circulate ten times the amount. So nothing is honest, to eliminate this intermediary bitcoin is essential in my opinion.
4172  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible solution for economic go-slow on: July 20, 2020, 06:07:13 AM
Considering the economic collapse of the global market as well as the grown countries, there is no big crash with the cryptocurrency market.

Good to see that there's no major impacts inside crypto market even
the entire economy around the world
are suffering right now

With comparison to the cryptocurrency market at the beginning of the year to the present market situation  what has happened is growth.

Categorically Yes, The market is still positive even we are experiencing this pandemic.

Only thing, the predictions from experts didn't come true. If the pandemic attack hasn't taken place we could've experienced a bigger growth.

There's a big growth indeed if this pandemic didn't happened as halving
take place this year.
Agreed on the statement. The pandemic has caused the cryptocurrency market to slow down, whereas there is drastic crash with rest of the economy. Recovery isn't aimed, even the go-slow economy won't happen with the world market. One thing I've found out of this scenario, people have started to live with what they have and spending time with family. Few months back none had time to spend with family, now everyone are happy in this regard.
4173  Other / Off-topic / e-mail from Warren Buffett. Feels Funny?? on: July 20, 2020, 02:47:58 AM
The development happening around the world is high, even on this occasion people tries to scam people through the age-old techniques of scamming through emails stating themselves as Buffett, Bill Gates and in the name of other billionaires. Have anyone encountered or received similar e-mails. This really seems funny to post this, but to know who else has received such emails I wrote it.
4174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: July 20, 2020, 01:57:13 AM
Just read an interesting article. Prof. Helmut Norpoth developed a prediction model that correctly predicted the outcome of the last 25 of 27 elections. He had already predicted a probability of victory for Trump in 2016 of 67 to 88 percent. But the interesting thing is what he predicts about the upcoming election: A 91% probability for re-election of Trump.

More in this article:
https://local12.com/news/nation-world/professors-model-predicts-trump-having-91-chance-of-winning-re-election-cincinnati

Interesting article indeed and he has a very nice track record!
However, I more believe in the Oxford prediction that Biden will win thanks too the mismanagemt of Trump in this pandemic.
The lack of management is being found in each and everything. A president should always look for the words of the common people, but here the decisions were self made. This is the reason for such a result on the survey. Another thing I learned is his business policy. In each and everything he tries to do business forgetting humanity. Anyhow we can get the real results by November.
4175  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation declining and famous celebs not paying workers on: July 19, 2020, 04:53:54 PM
Everyone who is rich or wealthy need to have it in their mind that they're experiencing all the luxury just because of some poor people. Maybe they could've got talents and innovative mind, but to make money out of it can't be done all alone. Here the employees play the role, and from my personal understanding wealthy people too are suffering out of the economic situation. They aren't suffering without food as the poor, it is the government's responsibility to support the poor claiming from the business owners who aren't providing the salaries.
4176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting biggest winners. on: July 19, 2020, 02:33:32 PM
Those are the humans that are full of skills and luck with no excuses, I'm not new into the world of gambling even in the casino but in casino still, I never knew that there is a winner shouting on the machine or in the table because they win a lot of money I hope I see this one or even I will experience this kind of luck because for now, I don't have enough wins like that, I think I just won over ten dollars per game sometimes it's negative lol.

I think those are the people who had a skill in mind games and also into the world of gambling too because they possibly manipulate all the things that possibly use to earn more by those talents and skills.
As in the above quote, everyone who has got listed were full of luck. Achieving such a big wins won't happen that easy, and the information provided is great. Same as that I prefer to know the list of people who have lost big out of gambling. This might add hope to the gamblers expecting big wins, but the skills or talents doesn't have role. This means the luckiest will get the best.

4178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto Should I Invest In 2020 ? on: July 16, 2020, 02:35:21 PM
Ongoing year 2020 is predicted to be a big year for cryptocurrencies, but due to the prevailing collapse in the economic situation there is no big change. As there is no big move in the price it is good to consider it an opportunity to invest expecting the return by the falling years. There is increase in the awareness among common people about cryptocurrencies. This has given high visibility for new investors to get into the market.

4180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will a BTC bull market begin in July? on: July 16, 2020, 10:52:48 AM
Waiting for some bull run to happen because it has been more or less stabilized in 9k to 9.5k range zone now it seems. Half of the July is over now and remaining half we will require something big to happen for markets to pull back towards 10k range zone

I think that price is like going back a little up today. The bulls are gradually preparing a move but sentiment is dragging price down. We could see price hitting above $9.5k back as it was for last week.
For the falling few weeks the price isn't gonna cross the $10k barrier. As like the fluctuation experienced last week the price will jump and get back to the price close around $9000. This trend will continue until a real bull run gets started. What's been taking place over these days were the market fluctuation. As bitcoin is speculative a expect a fall reaching $8000 before crossing $10000.
