A little updated. Finally fixed the format, but still struggling with the lists. If anyone finds the mistake with the last 3 closing list tags I'll be very happy.
Just a bump. This is a initiative to help the new members to learn the way to report spam and keep the forum clean and tidy.

If you post in megathreads and they got deleted, all your posts there are gone without notice that's why your post count decreases. Checking the modlog you have 1 topic removed. See here > https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=havok1998

~ If someone could collect some common keywords from their posts before having them nuked, and post them here, that would be much appreciated!I'll need to have the HTML code, but if you can post them separated by something that I can easily find in the page source, that's fine too. Example: XXXdisсоvеrXXX XXXрrettyXXX XXXplаnXXX In the page source that looks like this, which is what I need: XXXdisсоvеrXXX<br />XXXрrettyXXX<br />XXXplаnXXX I have 9 days of patrol-data, a long list of keywords would make it very easy to list all spam accounts. I'd do it myself, but it's late I'll try to collect the data. I saw them popping up again two days ago.. I guess they were on vacation, it was so magnificent weather out here, even the bots cannot resist to keywords progress, projects, easy, graduаllу,requіremеnt,suссеssful,thіnk,tеamwork, XXXрrogrеssXXX<br />XXXprojeсtsXXX<br />XXXеasyXXX<br />XXXgraduаllуXXX<br />XXXrequіremеntXXX<br />XXXsuссеssfulXXX<br />XXXthіnkXXX<br />XXXtеamworkXXX<br />

This looks fine, and I think it doesn't need so much coding, so why not to implement these changes immediately? I know that those shitposts will pop up somewhere in the forum, but this needs time for those spammers to realize that their activity is not increasing, so it won't happen at the same time for every spammer. Mods will have a little time to adapt to the new situation, and if reporting starts to grow because of that reporting badge, it's possible that mods will be able to handle the new shitposts everywhere...
I don't think it will take much time to be implemented, it takes time to be approved by the admins, that is the main problem, and if it is disapproved you never know.. But as we usually hear nothing from the top, we have no idea what is planed, if anything is planed at all. I read that theymos likes to "troll" people but those a not like the April fool jokes so hopefully we can hear his opinion at the end.

Why do we need an Off-topic section at the first place? It is not related to the cryptocurrency so there should be the same rules as the Ivory Tower. Why would you gain activity if you do not discuss anything related to the idea of the forum?
So if we keep the off-topic section there should be new rules like this:
- No designated moderator /OK/ - No post count gain - No Activity gain - Posts do not engage the two weeks Activity period.
But keep in mind that all the sh!t happening there will try to find a new place. So next sections are Economics, Bitcoin/Altcoins Discussion boards and the not so popular Local sections with a help of Google translate...

Are you still not a merit source? Keep bumping this thread. Loyce's application took a few months to get approved.. so don't give up +1 from me

Just one question here, the dashboard is not very responsive, right?? Or it's just me :
Thanks for answering, yes I'm on a mobile. Not do much time to sit behind a pc

As long as such service is allowed 1, I don't see how trolling will be stopped even though is number 3 in the list with the rules. It's also pretty subjective matter. 1 - Troll/Shill for Hire. [MY SERVICES]

@ Lafu
Quoting pyramids are common bot activity. I've seen it amany times, there are some obvious cases where the the comments under the quotes have nothing to do with the quoted post and just keep piling up, but those a quite rare occasions.
I just wonder if you have a bot and you are farming accounts with it, + make some extra money with bumping ANN threads (everything is automated), it will be very easy to discredit someone's Ann you don't like for example, or a competitor. Just adjust the bot his way and bang! His thread is down.
We can't be sure 100% with this things, but anyway it's easy to spot a quickly assembled scam project, justone need a common sense.

Maybe I am wrong but I found out some interesting thing and guess its a new way how Bots spam now! ~
I found a few hompgraphs in your quotes. So this is a case of plagiarism, I'll check them sometime soon and bust those bastards. I have some ideas and if I find a bit more free time I'll make lists with all those "plagiaters" / sry idk what is the correct word/

I now that the self-moderated threads (SMT) can be abusive, but keep in mind that many boards have no active moderators besides the Global ones so making a SMT is a way to control the spam in places like the Economic section for example.
Of course in places where money are involved is not necessary as the amount of spam there is almost nothing but see the Bitcoin Discussion board. 99% of the threads are to be trashed if you ask me.
Regards the mods work, global mods are quite busy moderating the whole forum as some others (Flying Hellfish for example ) complaining for not having any reports to handle.
I guess it's due to the work load distribution problem, but this is more internal case so we are not aware of and we can only guessing here.
As I said it's not the manna of all the spam problems but it can be a bit of a help.

I more often see a tendency here: a proposal which benefits mainly the one that proposed it. The case with an airdrop is not a good solution, why would you benefit of something which everyone else is doing for free?
When I started reporting there was no merit system but nothing stopped me from doing so, as I was not expecting any reward or anything. It just makes me feel worthy even though nobody knew how many I have reported it was just for me.
If you report only as obligation, because someone told you so or only for the reward you are doing it wrong, just from a personal point of view. This has to be responsibly for you as you are a part of a society here and you have your role here. If I have to mention the fact that you can actually make money, as many people are"working" here, this should be enough reward for you responsibly.
It's just my point of view.

After the SpamBuster club, where we have already reviewed over 2000 accounts and reported big part of them /many got banned too/ this is my next move. To take away a big load from the Mods, so they can concentrate on more important matters that deleting walls of spam, I want to point out a solution that everyone is aware of but barely use /except LoyceV /. When you start a thread, whenever possible, let it be a Self-moderated one. This is a way to take a bit of responsibility of the thread you are starting and an obligation to check it regularly for SPAM. This is one simple way to help the forum to be a better place for everyone. I know many will not be happy with this suggestion because there are many different personalities and groups confronting each other, clashes of different ideas and characters is not uncommon too. I'm not saying that this is manna to all the problems but let's set those things aside, we are taking about an initiative only to remove the spam. This will be beneficial to the newbies too, as some of them are not here to spam but to learn and develop. I have example of a thread infested with a higher quality spam which is difficult to report but I can delete myself What you think??

Hello, 1. Posting in wrong section, the appropriate one will be : Lending2. Brand New account asking for loan is not a good idea, you gonna get tagged for no time. 3. Even if we say that it's ok for newbie to ask for a loan, you have no collateral even for such small amounts. I can make this list longer, but for now this should be enough.

User: suchmoon Case: Haiku Bots part 2 (cerebral) From/to: 1-250 Status: All done
Good, I'll post new list next week, we have done quite some work lately, now we deserve some rest and relaxation. So have a nice weekend everyone, I'll be here often to check the thread just in case
~
It took only a few lines of code, and one second between downloads to reduce BPIP-load.
I also noticed this list has 7 double entries. You can easily prevent that by sorting and removing duplicate lines.
Oh man, saw it just now, I'll be updating the list for sure Thanks man, you are a legend
