The real reason I chose this username was because 'Leader of the flat earth Reptilians' was taken.  Those who know though...  Well, they know.

Image shown above is not an actual self-portrait, but an artist depiction of what I may look like.  Some details such as the addition of underwear have been added to make this image safe for the forum and keep from fostering jealousy amongst the less well hung.  I also admittedly have a better manicure as it makes it easier to type on the keyboard.  Anybody got any lotion?

Well, the stock market is tanking, altcoins are tanking, but Bitcoin seems to still be holding up relatively well.  This is either a great sign that we're still in accumulation mode and are about to see another leg up, or a bull trap with a Bart Simpson pattern in the making.  Given how bad everything else is performing, I tend to think that we're seeing accumulation in Bitcoin as people still believe this is the bottom of the 4 year cycle and they need to get in while they still can.  I'd been expecting a retrace, but it seems like so far it's barely fallen.  It wouldn't surprise me if the next month or two saw Bitcoin rally again to $25,000.
4163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 19, 2023, 04:37:55 PM
@danherbias07 I got the Lakers on that game and I was so confident that they will win at home. They had a good start but when Kings came back, they don't control the momentum anymore. Lakers are outrebounded and some roles players are not contributing well, of course, Kings are the better team as they are winning more games than the Lakers, but Lakers are at home, so that's a good advantage for them.

Anyway moving forward.

Seems like almost everyone here was divided in the Lakers vs Kings game, well, I can't say that I expected this outcome but I somehow managed to bet on the Kings ML even knowing that Sabonis won't be around against the Lakers because there a part of me saying that Lakers is not that good even at home. I was pretty sad at first to see how the Lakers led the game in the first half but it's good to see that the Kings managed to turn the table.

Quote
Warriors visiting the Boston tomorrow, I guess I'll go with the stats, Boston -6.5 is going to be my bet.

This is a good game, I'll watch and bet on this live. It'll be good to ride with the Warriors ML because Jaylen Brown will not play tomorrow.

The Kings are always a tough matchup for the Lakers.  That young run and gun team really makes the old guys on the Lakers work to stay in the game.  Without Anthony Davis, I don't expect the Lakers to ever beat the Kings.

The Warriors and Celtics game will be televised on TNT tonight, so that one will be easily watchable and plus you get Shaq and Chuck.  Smiley  Then the later game is between the Nets and Suns.  The rumor is that Kyrie will be back playing, so maybe that will be enough to get them by the Suns, who have been terrible since Booker went down with an injury.  Still though, no Kevin Durant will make this game closer than it should be.
4164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 19, 2023, 04:35:18 PM
The trade deadline is fast approaching. So far, there are no major changes in different teams. I was expecting earlier that some players in Utah will be traded for more future first-round draft picks. And as usual, there are too many writers that always bring the name of the Lakers for clout. I don't even know if the Lakers' management changed its decision to let go of another future first-round draft pick in order to get rid of Westbrook's huge contract. Another team that I am expecting to make an aggressive move is Dallas which is currently struggling with its defense. Luka Doncic badly needed help.

It seems like the Lakers might just ride out the year with what they have as opposed to making a move.  There's a little talk about a trade with Toronto, but it seems like the focus is going to be letting Russ play out his contract and then getting Beal or Lillard in the offseason.  This is probably the best plan to be honest, but this year will be one more punt for LeBron James.  A shame because he's playing at an MVP level right now and the roster he has surrounding him either just doesn't work (Westbrook) or lacks talent.  Crazy because the amount of money that Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook are making should have been enough to give LeBron a decent team.

I turned over close to $1M in a single month and these vultures refuse to give me a bonus.

That is quite a bit of money to not receive some small token reward.

At first I thought this was a thread about why you refused a giant reward given the title, but now I understand.  I can say that I'm pretty sure if you were betting at Stake.com then you would have received all sorts of promotional bonuses and rewards for that amount of money wagered.  If this is the full story then I'm pretty shocked they wouldn't toss you $100 just to keep you around and using their platform.  I wonder if there's more to the story or if you were doing some sort of shady betting style that they considered abuse.  Good luck with your new casino and getting more bonuses.

A couple of televised games on ESPN tonight. The first one is between the Hawks and Mavericks. Not too exciting but at least there’s Luka and Trae. The later game between the Timberwolves and Nuggets is a great one to watch. Both of these teams are young and hungry. There should be some nice highlights and good competition. The Joker seems like he’s back at full strength after his last performance.
4167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting. on: January 18, 2023, 11:48:59 PM
I don’t know who this year’s Miss Universe is, and definitely had no idea who it would be. However, after seeing the pageant’s new owner, I feel pretty safe in saying that next year’s winning won’t be a woman at all. I’d be willing to bet that next year’s winner will be a transvestite (is that still a word that’s acceptable to use?) male dressed as a woman. Is any platform letting you make that bet yet?

Could you imagine if like Yogg was on his deathbed or something and needed an operation to pay for it all and the only way to save his own life was to steal all this money from everyone and to never look back? Idk, I know he had health issues. The only thing I can think is that nobody could be this heartless to everyone if they didn't desperately need it. If they didn't and they just stole then they're just an asshole but part of me thinks that there is so much more to this story. I just wish Yogg has the balls the send the last message. Whether it be that he screwed everyone or was desperate I just wish we knew. The truth remains to be seen.

Hey kept the private keys while he should have destroyed them, end of story!

Indeed.  There is enough evidence now I feel to say that this was his plan from the beginning.  Between the closing of his company, tracing the stolen funds to an exchange, him not coming to face the music, keeping all the private keys from the beginning...

This is an example of it being harder to convince someone they've been scammed, then to scam someone.  Yogg was a scammer and he scammed.  He received plenty of help from his "friends" who are now busy thinking of ways to capitalize on the incident to sell more products to the scammed customers.  All I can say is to be careful and don't be the guy who thinks there's more to this story.  You'll be disappointed.  Yogg was a scammer and he scammed.  If you fell for it or considered him a part of your friend group, you were bamboozled and should take a long hard look at that friend group, because if there was any more to this story, it would be that Yogg didn't do this by himself.

Watching the Department of Justice live stream about their recent International Cryptocurrency Enforcement Action. It seems directed at those who try to launder funds or use the blockchain for financial anonymity. They’ve stated that being offshore will not provide protection while enabling financial anonymity.

This is why I say financial privacy should be done at the protocol level. They stated their battle, “is just getting started.”

I recommend watching the announcement if you are a user or promoter of any coin mixing activities. You’re wearing a target and they’re taking aim.

It looks like a wave of profit taking has started. Now we wait and see how deep the correction will go. I suspect once we dip and hold, we’ll see another wave up. This will likely be how the next year goes. A rally, profit taking, accumulation, then another rally. I’d say to accumulate through it all, then maybe take some profits when the market tops just before the halving, but make sure your bags are full on the dip as the market “sells the news” after the halving. That will be the last low before the next bubble. You have about 400-500 days.
4171  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 18, 2023, 04:53:19 PM
My ignore list is massive. I highly recommend utilizing this feature. It has changed the forum experience for me. I love it when I come on a topic now and see a bunch of ignored responses. There are plenty of users on this forum who have no problem spreading misinformation about others for no other reason than to get more posts for their signature campaign or to try and feel important getting engagement. I’d share mine but as others have alluded to, it would only stir up more feelings.

How about LeBron James’ triple double last night. Amazing that he’s still able to put up such huge numbers with 0 turnovers. He’s one of only three guys to ever score 45+ over the age of 35 and he’s done it more times than the other 2 combined. He’s a medical marvel the way he’s able to perform at his age. Truly something special to watch that will be looked back on someday the way we look back at Michael Jordan’s time in the league.
4173  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nebeus: the easiest way to send money to a Crypto Casino!! on: January 18, 2023, 12:33:46 AM
Your question seems more about where people are buying cryptos or how they’re getting their hands on them, not how do you send crypto to a casino. How you send it is very easy. Most casinos have a deposit address available for you and you just send crypto to that deposit address. Most people are probably buying that crypto on an exchange, mining it, or trading for it. Once you have it, getting people to accept it is the easy part.
4174  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Casascius 1 BTC brass (loaded) on: January 18, 2023, 12:29:29 AM
Yes of course, always good to be reminded. Most of the scams happen when the deal is really good and the victim rushes to complete the deal without performing the necessary checks.

Good luck with the purchase! Cheesy

I’m happy to make a deal for a Casascius that is not really good and can take as long as needed if OP wants to make sure they’re getting a legit Casascius coin. Smiley

Seriously though, I still have no idea what the offer for a 1 BTC brass Casascius coin is but I do have one that I’d be willing to sell for the right price. Feel free to reach out to me with offers OP. I have all the different years and 2 types of the 2011 coins.
4175  Other / Meta / Re: How many forum members do you know by real name? on: January 17, 2023, 05:09:25 PM
I'm sure I have orders for probably a few hundred members of this forum containing their real name and personal information.  A few others I have known a long time and know their real names from friendship.  Then there's a couple people I've tried to get involved in BTC over the years who are not active here.  Out of the hundreds of people who I have been told their names, I probably only remember around 10 who have gotten more personal with me over the years.  In the early days, I tried to make it a point to forget people's identities and not save any information that would enable their identities to ever be outed by me, so I'll admit that my lack of personal attention, while admirable in intent, likely made me seem a little unfriendly to some repeat customers.
4176  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Halving Sets!! on: January 17, 2023, 05:03:39 PM
Both addresses that were swept to (`3BBNmksdPw63ghuNEeFsfPkwXaiqYJH9e7` and `3BZDT1rhf7vnabzASuiLzDBBbgDfHivdRd`) are now confirmed HitBTC addresses, as both were transferred to the HitBTC cold wallet. Looks like Yogg is going to cash it out/has actually sold it.

I've messaged their legal team, which probably won't help, but it should at least get his account shutdown. Feel free to contact them as well. The more the better IMO. Smiley

Well, there goes the narrative that he was a degenerate gambler.  He's just a plain old run of the mill scammer that made a bunch of fake friends to rugpull them with his collectible.  Otherwise, he would at least contribute whatever is left to his "friends" aka victims.

I would find it troublesome if HitBTC was willing to act upon random emails, but maybe in this case there is enough evidence for them to do something.  Likely not, but I applaud your efforts for trying and would encourage others to do the same.  Providing pics and as much information as you can will likely help make it seem more real for them also.

Nice investigative work.  I hope some of the stolen funds are able to be recovered.  It would be a small victory, but a victory nonetheless.
4177  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RANT] Can we stop with the coins / wallets / collectables with private keys on: January 17, 2023, 04:55:25 PM
Just enjoy the very good projects that are run by good people

This.

My advice to those who may not have a long history here to know who the good guys are and who the politicians with lots of "friends" like Yogg are...  Be wary of those who attack honest people/projects.  Stand up for the good honest people.  Use the trust system to uplift those who do right by their customers instead of using it to air personal vendettas.  There is far too much negativity thrown at people who do good here, and too much benefit of the doubt for those who make outrageous claims that turn out to be completely false.

There are good projects out there and they're under attack by the scammers who want your money funneled to scams run by their alt accounts.  This isn't a conspiracy theory.  Be safe.
4178  Economy / Collectibles / Re: FUNDED COLLECTIBLES on: January 17, 2023, 04:44:11 PM
I own microsoul coins... I bought them after gravitate's drama... this is part of the "physical bitcoin" history... As Yogg's scam is now part of it ,but I won't touch coldkey cards.
The value of the OG's (or the "pro") is going higher I think (Cas, Lealana, Kialara, BTCC, Satori, OGNasty, Denarium,...).

Thanks for the mention.  It's still weird to think that I'm considered an "OG" of the community.  When I started I just wanted to make a cool coin someone might want to own.  2013 was literally a dream come true for me and I'll forever be thankful of those who helped me live it.  I couldn't imagine ever breaking the trust I've been given.  I'd honestly rather go bankrupt.

I envision newbies in 2026 paying huge premiums to get their hands on a swept cold key card. Just like me looking for Mt Gox stuff. Time heals all wounds

i see it exactly the same way. i put all my 120 peeled ck-cards back into the Coldkey folder and think that these cards still have some value just like other peeled coins/bars/chips ...
and as frank said here, it's a piece of history.
i personally continue to hunt for more missing collectibles for my ccc collection Smiley

No...  MtGox handled all of Bitcoin's trades in the early days.  They were the place to buy and sell BTC.  There were no other options.  It was a huge piece of the Bitcoin ecosystem and it's bankruptcy is still ongoing.  There isn't a story about Bitcoin's history that won't include it.

Coldkey is an unknown fake brand setup by a scammer turned gambling degenerate who talked his chatroom friends into paying way too much for items he eventually used to rob them.  It will be forgotten and never mentioned in any story of Bitcoin's rise.

There is 0 chance that Coldkeys are remembered as a piece of Bitcoin's history anywhere near the lines of MtGox.  I don't mean to add insult to injury, but someone needs to say it.
4179  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hunter Pays Joe $50/Mo to Rent Classified Document House on: January 17, 2023, 04:33:38 PM
A Zillow search reveals that the most expensive home currently for rent in Wilmington, Delaware is going for $6,000 per month.

This is disturbing.  The disconnect between the amount that Hunter was paying 'The Big Guy' and the amount that he could have rented an entire home is more than just a coincidence.  It's flat out money laundering.  I find it hard to believe that any citizen engaging in such an arrangement wouldn't eventually have to explain it to the IRS or possibly Homeland Security depending on the details of the arrangement.  In any event, I think the admission that Hunter was giving Joe kickbacks, along with this $50K per month arrangement coming to light, displays that Hunter was likely involved in deals using Joe's power to earn him $6,000,000 per year, of which he kicked 'The Big Guy' $50K per month.  This should probably bother people that voted for Joe.

You might want to add a "K" to the subject line.  Smiley
4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald's Metaverse or just a Hype? on: January 17, 2023, 04:29:19 PM
We'll have to wait and see what comes of their development.  I've seen Walmart claim they have a metaverse ready to go.  Now McDonalds seems to want to create something.  There's no doubt that issuing digital collectibles is a no brainer from their end.  They can give their customers value or even profits just for eating their food, and it will cost them next to nothing.  When you think about how they've been giving toys away to entice children to want to go there for decades, the idea of rewarding everyone with digital collectibles that are essentially free to produce is one that will definitely see it's day.  Will it be cool or a gimmick?  That depends on the reaction to it.
