What has this thread reverted to? Over five days between replies? Odd! And that's with Horus posting last, a person whom others still have the red ass for.

FWIW, let's celebrate by me introducing my first use of the following meme:

There's something fishy on that Kraken statement that they limit TIER 3 to $100.000 anually.

Yeah, I'm sorta kinda sweatin' over here while my fiat is at the mercy of whatever processes they have in place.

I can't imagine what they delay is, other than perhaps support is overburdened.

I thought Kraken was one of the more reputable exchanges to use in the USA, which is why I went with them for the BCH stuff.

They inform me the withdrawal issue has been escalated.

Sheeit.

I have read that you tried a withdrawal of $50.000 which (rightfully) failed and then one of $25.000 which also failed. $25.000 seems to exactly be their DAILY withdrawal limit for TIER3. Have you tried a lesser amount?

Also, when you are in the withdrawal screen, there's a small box in the right that calculates in real time exactly how much you are allowed to wirthdraw.

good lord!
not sure i'd want stats like that published on a bitcoin forum.
even incognito, but that's just paranoid me....

If there was a significant switch of hashrate from BTC to 2x or bch such that it caused BTC to stall for a significant time, couldn't core implement something similar to bch where the diff adjusted down quicker to compensate? If so shouldn't they be thinking of that now just in case this scenario plays out? Or is this unacceptable for some reason?

That would require another hard fork. Then we'd end up with four Bitcoins to play with.

How are improvements/changes made to BTC without hard forking?
Are there certain criteria set in stone that cannot be altered without forking? I guess tinkering with the diff retargeting is one of them.
Is there something I can read to help me understand what can and can't be changed without a fork so I can stop asking stupid questions on the forum 😊?

well if all miners suddenly on a whim said "right chaps, we all mine bitcoincash from now on!! "
so then theres this this death spiral and bitcoin chain will die we all go to hell
and the world will end in a big giant fireball......

Solar eclipse is next week.   Cool

ok...let me rephrase that a bit more clearly.
I meant tomorrow  (today) is the last update of
Bitcointalk post activity before next week’s eclipse on  8/21.
Just retrofitted my telescope with sun filter.

That day will be legendary even if I'm not! Wink

Well if it was one of r0ach's imagined enemies, quite a lot of people could be on that list. In fact anyone who's not a caucasian, right-wing, cis-gendered heterosexual male. That's like 95% of the population!

It was his dear old mum in one last attempt to get him off the sofa and start playing with his friends outside again. I'll bet she freshly laundered his Skeletor costume too.

Ah well.

Do we not know, for a fact, what the mechanical differences between the coins are? Could someone lay it out in a nice easily readable format?

why certainly!

btc around $4200

bth around $680

but that will change in about 30 seconds...

oh wait.... yu said mechanical? wtf does that mean?  (don't bother explaining, my brain cell wouldn't understand anyway) Wink Cheesy

hi guys there is a good easy pool to mine bch with nicehas rent sha 256?

That's a good way to dispose of your BTC for BCH. Suprnova was running a pool. They mined one whole block many days ago. But I don't know if it is still up or if Ocminer just wanted to make a special statement. Cheesy

i do believe i recall that special statement attached to that mined block..."F%$#!@!#  BITCOINCASH"  or some such thing ... a funny bastard indeed! Cheesy Wink

it has all the same uses cases, plus more , as bch does microtransactions (huge) + more fixes and i hear things about instant tx with 0conf
Bitcoin has forked and improved as it was always meant to do, the miners, exchanges and pro's all know this.
There is no-way these groups of people will hand over control of their wallets, tx's and other things to a 3rd party forever.

The 3rd party coin aka segwitcoin + prob seg2 will fade off 1/10th or less the value of the real bitcoin bch over the yrs.
The ones that lack understanding, the ones that have been told for yrs, learn ,study before buying...but dont are the ones that will lose most.

Another thing that makes me more certain that im right...

Ive been posting here for past few weeks , over and over the same thing,

bch is the real Bitcoin...
segwitcoin is 3rd party

where are all the legendary and higher ranked members? why are they not shooting me down?
where are the pro-segwitters? on a moderated forum/thread lol
There maybe the odd one or two, but i mean the vast majority...why are they not...because i think they feel or already know...im right  Cool

oh...currently theres around 100k bch for sale ...not alot...the number gets smaller everyday...best grab em cheap if you can  Smiley

segwitcoin dumping...i dont see this segwit pump lasting much longer tbh , prob try holding it up as high as they can till 21st aug.
its going to go back under $3000 def

& The profits from this pump will go where.......BCH  Cool

Enjoy reading the truth and please share

bch ..the real Bitcoin...
This is the coin that will hit those numbers we have always heard about in the future..
$10k+,$50k+,$100k+, $250k+...per BCH

Well pumpy, I just have one thing to say..
You are gonna look mighty foolish if this BTH thing just fizzles out and becomes just another shitcoin.
Thats not to say that your darling bitcoincash will indeed go this route (I'm betting it will... BUT this is crypto, anything is possible)
My point being, you have committed with all your preaching, that it will indeed become the new defacto bitcoin.
Kudos to you man! You put your bitcoin mouth where your mouth is!
( I dunno about where you put your bitcoin unless you post your txids, which probably ain't a good idea).
I don't do this sort of thing because you end up with foot in mouth if things don't turn out the way you thought.
It's a gamble man. As I said ..its crypto...
Me personally, I sold a percentage of my (free) BTH which at the time, (after doing my um... whats that term
folks around here like to use?...oh yeah, due dilligance... ) matches the percentage chance (about 10% )I think BTH
will become the true bitcoin "master chain" or wtf the term is. .(I know, logically, I shoulda sold all BUT 10%, but whatever...)
But anyway, that's my own opinion. Pure speculation and I could be wrong.
TBH, after reading your posts/links, percentage might have gone up a tad but at the end of the day, only time will tell.
(its crypto, I repeat myself)
Whatever happens... Im covered and wont be eating hat, I hold both.

cheers m8

4173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 16, 2017, 09:23:54 PM
...

I see, but what about the distribution %?

If it gets divided across different wallets, will I receive less byteballs compared to holding them all on the same wallet, or you receive byteballs for the sum of all the wallets?

If you create another wallet and receive money and you have no 2 wallets, the number that shows up will show the total amount of byteballs of all wallets or individually when you select a wallet?
Can you do some math?

You have 3 wallets each with 5GB, then you get 5*0.1 + 5*0.1 + 5*0.1 = 0.15GB
You have 1 wallet with 15GB then you get 15*0.1 = 0.15 GB

So it is the same.

lol 5*0.1=0.5 GB
15*0.1=1.5 GB

What's funny here? amacar1 all correctly wrote, and you just only copied after him

no dude...

p2p didn’t copy after him.
he correctly pointed out the decimal error.
ok, so maybe not so funny, but your post is, lol...

4180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: August 12, 2017, 04:44:11 AM
There could be 3 Bitcoins soon

1- bcc - forked from the original chain, upgraded blocks, close to orginal satnak version.
2- btc segwit - another fork but with a controversial 2nd layer, leading to possible centralised bitcoin.
3- standard btc - the one we have all known, 1mb , no segwits, with slow tx.

Which one will you choose as the real bitcoin?

im defo 100% with #1

who cares?
I'll hold em all for free coin...I aint proud.
quite frankly I dont have a fucking clue what wtf segwich thingy is.
(like most don't, but I admit it)
all I know is I held bitcoin and got bonus free fork coin.

oh mythical god... i love crypto!!
