4161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have shared about bitcoin on my class on: August 31, 2020, 02:47:33 PM
I wish I have the opportunity as yours to tell the whole class as well about crypto space and not just Bitcoin.
OP has that passion and he never thinks in a hard way to teach people around even if it was just ignored but he has noticed that it is effective and sees an interesting story for the listener. I know that not all of us have that sort of enlightenment and courage to waste their time and effort but he has. It depends on you if you tried it and see the results.

Not like they care anyway on what Bitcoin is, they'll just surely shrug it off as a scam and an illegal coin used in the deep web.
That's quite funny of a deceptive advertising actually.
I would write for my own as "Tutorial on how to earn from Bitcoin, double your quarter now"  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
But meh. No one cares about crypto in my class.
If you already think about the negative, seeing less effective, it for sure you won't succeed because in the first place, you are already not happy and you are also expecting that no one will listen to you and care about it. If you want to teach and promote crypto into any person, you better change your mindset first and turn it into a positive.
4162  Economy / Economics / Re: Famine is coming next ... on: August 31, 2020, 02:16:01 PM
It was started already in many places. It is quite to see and heard in the news that many families never eat foods. It is such a thing that this pandemic gets worsen day by day and changes a lot. I'd never thought that we've liked this, we all are unprepared, and the sad thing is that some of us have been in starving especially in the poor countries...It has to say that we are getting back from the start, it is market reset or something we call like that. But it is a little bit unfair seeing those developing countries try to take advantage of the situation, they use this pandemic for making money and those who have less fortunate people will be suffered most while those rich people becoming richer.

But all of these problems and issues, we have also learned a lot of things and one thing is that, to know how to be prepared for the future.
4163  Economy / Speculation / Re: This time when the stock market crashes, Bitcoin will go to moon! on: August 30, 2020, 11:40:14 PM
Bitcoin adoption increase as the pandemic closes some door in local stock investment, closes of many establishments, and limited use of fiat money. People are now seeing online investment seems too good and another way to find a source of income. They'll come into Bitcoin investment for they know that this could possibly save them from being jobless and being bored staying at home but rather to spend time in trading or whatever it is.

The fact the Bitcoin surge is because the demand increases and more people have found it out. They never realize it before as the stock market still hot and really promising but for now, it twisted their minds but consider crypto as a big opportunity.
4164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you could hard fork Bitcoin right now, what changes would you make? on: August 30, 2020, 11:06:01 PM
Bitcoin is beautiful the way it is, except for one thing, speed. This is perhaps the single most significant drawback.
Of course, there are others, for example, a protocol that forces you to use huge computing power, but this does not spoil life as much as the speed of transaction confirmation.

Yeah, it is enough that have nothing to change. And I used to keep the feature the same as we have known and trusted upon. Speed is not resistible, anytime it changes depending on the blockchain traffic and not sure if there is a way to change it, in fact, it never been recognized as a big problem in Bitcoin but just normal issue, and I don't think there is a need to change it.

What we need now and in the future is the consistency of its security. With the increase of hacking events, it seriously affects the market trust and people will be afraid of the situation will get worse, and hacking/scamming complaints wildly spread around.
4165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Electrum update: A trader lost 1400 BTC on: August 30, 2020, 10:37:05 PM
Could be that sorry but I was wondering also for that long since 2017 that person never accesses his electrum account.

I'd never say that he's lying to us but kinda weird how it happens. It is because it is not normal to hold that long, keep your funds online and not even bother to check sometimes. It is impossible that it has gone, unless if your account has been hacked or you already forgot the right wallet address you have visited with. Might be ridiculous but can be possible if you have a lot of wallet address and you have miss one of them.
4166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which type of trading you think is good? on: August 30, 2020, 01:44:37 PM
Not also good in trading but it looks more effective if we use them both. Hearing those coming events, market changes, it all comes out with a good TA that eventually gives us some hints about what will possibly happen later. have we think that simple guess will work in trading, definitely not, and much more losses if we go like this.

That is how TA places a big role in trading, though we can't just fully depend on it, however, it actually helps.
So I say that I have to use them both and could be a huge factor that will affect the results of our trade. Not all have understood TA or not even good to it but soon, we can improve it. It just how we pursue learning to trade and apply what we've learned.
4167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Would you try to accumulate now that there is a token pump? on: August 30, 2020, 12:11:53 AM
Let's say you have bought a token for about 1000 satoshis and weeks ago you found out the token is just about 100 satoshis. This means you already lost a lot since that time you hold it.

Now that it started to pump like from 100 sat to 150 sats, would you try to dump and wait again for its dump to at least 120 satoshis to buy back or just keep holding til you profit up to more than 1000 satoshis?
We all have different preferences and if that is your target and think that you are satisfied with that a few sats gain, there is no problem. But somehow, not all have been through with those small gains, most of us want more and that is why we keep waiting.

It is also so important to choose promising coin/s to invest, not just by simply seeing it pumps today we have to invest by then. Definitely, it is a wrong idea. Many got fooled with those hypes and lose their money, then they complain about being unfair, being scammed, or any negativity. But above all, it is our fault and it is because we not listening and we don't even spare time to make search and find if this project has something to expect good results.
4168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with 1000% Plus Profits on: August 29, 2020, 04:01:30 PM
Don't wonder why even the price of these coins pumps but investors never have to look into them because they are not attracted to it nor they see potentials to run for a long period of time but all of these are just being manipulated.

Should we have to regrets of not buying these coins during the times that they are just sleeping? No, we don't and for sure after these shocking pumps will also surprise you how fast it dumps and manipulators (probably whales) are happily carrying the money of those buyers who bought it.

If you can think and to find what is the reason or any market news that boosted it, it will be fine but having nothing to hear, there is absolutely have something behind that surge. That is why we should be careful, otherwise.
4169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy bitcoin with phone credits??? on: August 28, 2020, 11:32:22 PM
I search online and I'd never see another way of buying Bitcoin other than that have mentioned above. But I was not convinced if it runs smoothly, in fact, this way of buying bitcoin isn't popular unlike in using exchangers. And even me, I have no trust this thing and the risk of being scammed.

But if I were you, I supposed not to use phone credits. There is no hard of having an account in any reputable exchanges where you can think about the safety assurance. I don't think if this will matter you much but I was not pushing you as well to change your mind if you already have decided. But just to remind you about the risk and you should have to put it in your mind otherwise, you'll be in regrets after.
4170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAN WE STILL GET THE 2017 BULL IN THIS 2020? on: August 28, 2020, 10:55:42 PM
If you still have faith in Bitcoin, it is absolutely we can think about it and even more. Many members here asking this and I was seeing that most of them have that faith, some say it soon to happen but the others say it was impossible.

They can be wrong or right (or even me) but this year is a big challenge for everyone, not only in crypto but the whole economic system. Yeah, we saw the market moves high slowly from almost $4,000 to $9,000 (and stuck for a few months), then move back high again and reach at $12,000. We still have 4months left before we end up this year but the market resistance has never made a huge change and there is no way either to think about $20,000. Though it is not possible but of a slim chance to have it.
4171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest for quick gains only on: August 28, 2020, 01:54:16 PM
Maximum DeFi projects are hype but DIA is different. It is a good project and token for long term investment is good for profits. Now DeFi trends ongoin and many investors are running behind any DeFi project without proper investigation that is very bad for the markets. We should realize that all DeFi projects aren't good and mostly hype.
The bolded one is the most common mistake for newcomers. They often neglect to see the capability of the project but overly acted on the price and invest, and then lose after. I used to scout Defi projects this time and most of them surging high, but the problem is not all of them it looks promising and it gives me a hard time deciding which one.

Hypes are very entertaining but the risk also is high. I deserve to be bash because of not believing them and I can't push myself to do it because deep inside, worries still come out and doubtful. To the fact that I was not looking for easy money, I'd rather have to keep Bitcoin rather than considering Defi projects. I can wait for the right moment to come.
4172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 27, 2020, 11:34:48 PM
You are not alone...almost Bitcoin holders have waiting that moment to come and spend their holdings. This is the reason why most of us are considering Bitcoin only for investment, not a form of currency. In the meantime, and those countries that don't accept crypto for payment option they usually converted it into FIAT money which I also use oftentimes.

The development isn't that fast as we want it, many still not aware of this and also many people had been doubtful due to its volatility. Even though the use of crypto is already legalized in a particular area but it also depends on you as the owner of that establishment if you accept it. The same thing is happening to others. They should have also to think about their capabilities, otherwise.

Well, we have to wait a little bit longer to finally be accepted in all establishments and enjoy it.

4173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Influencers Are Not Helping on: August 26, 2020, 11:34:05 PM
This is all about money and they take advantage of their popularity to manipulate innocent people to invest. But the sad thing is that these new investors never do a search in order to find out if its true, reliable, or much have potential that is why most of them suffered losses because of their incompetency. And these bag holders are taking all the money from them, from these innocent people who are a victim of these influencers.

Anyway, it is not their fault also and they are not the ones to blame at all. Because supposedly, as an investor we have also to invest time in searching and to know more about the project that we have a plan to invest with, not just being exposed and promoted by those big names, celebs, and etc...then we have to invest for it. It is a wrong practice and must have to change.
4174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: when will cryptocurrency go mainstream? on: August 25, 2020, 11:28:24 PM
It unlikely I have an opposite insight in regards to this. Yes, we already have that popularity but it is not a thing to measure that we already at its mainstream, we are still far from it and less chance to happen.

The government had already printed a lot of paper money, some counties don't have the capacity to use crypto for many reasons, and some still banning Bitcoin. It could only bring us into the mainstream if we don't have that paper money option and use conventionally with crypto. But unfortunately, we never have that looks.

Well, I don't think it is a need to have that...people never consider this as a currency but just an investment. We are mostly making this form a money generator, not as a currency. Until then, I can't the possibility that it works.
4175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Despite printing stablecoins daily, why is bitcoin yet to cross above 20k on: August 25, 2020, 10:52:48 PM
Though we have noticed that Bitcoin's market demand is increasing but it doesn't mean that we instantly reach $12k. Nah, it takes time and the volume is not enough to push the market that far because there are also a lot of people selling their Bitcoin at a low price. This is also a factor that we can't easily move that high but have to keep at the same level.

TBH, I'm not seeing $20k can be easily to achieve this year...I know some will disagree me but the market sentiment and considering also the market growth, we are still far from it even though we have that volatility thing. But I know we can see it back, probably next year as the global economic growth will slowly recover and people have their money to invest in bitcoin again after selling it during the pandemic.
4176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 25, 2020, 09:51:58 PM
Time doesn't really matter if we know that this coin that we hold will grow. People who have patience and seeing its potentiality will never think about 1 year, 2years, or even more, he can still wait for the price to increase and meet their goal.

Buying Bitcoin at $9k and sold at $12k? He got what he wants and being patient for that long (2 years) is worthy. We all don't have that kind of perspective but most of us sell it immediately once seeing that they also gain a few bucks.

This person is willing to risk and lose his money, and most importantly he knows that Bitcoin will soon pump and make money from it. He never loses his positivity despite that long wait and it drives him to keep patience than get nothing.
4177  Economy / Economics / Re: What Role Will Crypto Play During ‘The Great Reset?’ on: August 25, 2020, 03:42:03 PM
As far as I can see this pandemic gives a lot of trouble in many peoples lives and most of businesses are shutdown and it affects  many peoples. Now most of the workers are working at home through internet and the system of transaction is cashless that's why the role of crypto during this pandemic has a big role, hopefully more people will see the brightside of it.
It is a business war that we never think at the start. Billionaire taking advantage of this and gets millions also out from the people who suffered. If we call this an "Economic Reset", no one will believe this because it is likely we are just harassed by some political leaders wanting to control others and be their followers.

Maybe we can say that crypto has of a great time this pandemic and many stockholders are shifting into crypto. But, could we think that this is the start of fiat transitions to digital currencies? Because almost seeing that people are now using it and many had to risk their money in buying crypto for investment. Its something to look that we are making pandemic as a way to move forward and adopt the new normal which crypto is much applicable and appreciated at this time.
4178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't more people invest in btc? on: August 25, 2020, 02:33:26 PM
People usually reading bad news towards crypto, hacking sentiments, scamming activities, and etc...It lives in their mind and gives them an idea, not to investment crypto and just lose their money instantly by mistake. That is how news becomes a big factor in regards to crypto adoption.

Apparently, they are wrong about it but we can't easily change their mind until such time that gives them no option but to use it. Since we have a stock market, gold and so many investments surround us, it also gives them a way to move away from investing crypto. Ony a risk-takers can afford to invest crypto and are also willing to lose their money. Most of us don't have that guts that is why so many people are still not knowing Bitcoin.
4179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: August 25, 2020, 02:10:09 PM
I really can't explain how Dot token moved from position 2155 to position 10 in less than a month, it beats my imagination, because I know the total supply is about 200 million and its most likely that there are either whales holding the tokens or the tokens in circulation are reduced to help keep the value on check.
Indeed, it is impossible to see and we don't know the story about these huge changes, surprising isn't it? But if we take a look into this https://www.coindesk.com/polkadot-raises-43m-in-72-hour-private-sale-source that was also an impressive market show up.

On the other hand, we can't easily judge a thing like this, the market is so volatile and it seems to be impossible but having this miracle will something it tells that many investors had considering its potentiality to gain market demand in perfect time and that is what we have now. I don't want to believe it but looking into the chart https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/polkadot, you'd probably believe it and see how investors giving an extent in risking this project.
4180  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: License to Sell Bitcoin in Person as Oppose To Online Exchange? on: August 25, 2020, 01:36:12 PM
Having a license in regards to Bitcoin selling/buying, it will just lead us to lose our privacy. We've been tracked at that time and can't be anonymous anymore.
Have we liked it? Not, for sure.

I was not looking that side to be in favor of us and to save from the said arrest. I think license will be only required when we are running Bitcoin ATM's, local crypto exchanger but having it in person to person transactions (like we did most of the time), I don't think there is a need to have this.

One thing that bothers you @OP is that you are badly thinking about the worst-case scenario to happen. We can't be arrested because we use bitcoin for a good reason but for sure we got arrested when it is against the law or some sort of illegal activities.
