4161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Hasim Rahman Jr / Amanda Serrano V Brenda Carabaja co-main event Aug on: August 06, 2022, 02:28:32 PM
@Baofeng. He almost made the weight? This fight would have been a very clear knockout win for Jake Paul, I reckon hehehe. Jake Paul was very wise to demand 205 because he does not want to risk reducing the odds of his victory versus a real professional boxer.

Yep, almost 205 lbs, not sure what Rahman is trying to get here, but maybe he was trying to emphasize that maybe if we went over 205 lbs (the agreed weight), the excess weight could be subtracted to his purse, but I don't know.

In any case, to save Jake's reputation as a promoter, the next he should do is to have the fight against Tommy Fury organized this year because a victory versus Tyson Fury's brother would certainly increase Jake's popularity as a boxer, a promoter and a showman. I think as a showman, he is a genius following the footsteps of other genius showmen like Vince McMahon and Andy Kaufman.

He could, and that is the original plan in the first place, fight Tommy Fury. Anyhow, he could still be a good promoter, or shall we say he can make a lot of money by hyping all his fights in the future.

I am confused right now,  I did some research on the solana hack I I came to understand that slope wallet is the main issue, my question is why are wallets backing up users recovery phrases in a log file? Yeah it got compromised somehow that's how hackers get those files but why in the first place is wallet doing this? Are other wallets like this?...
If you need secure storage, then use hardware wallets. They are configured without connecting to a computer and your seed phrase is safe. Mobile wallets are not secure and are the most vulnerable to hacking. For solana, you can use a ledger or trezor, they are compatible with the defi ecosystem.

Or maybe an air-gap wallet could also be a good options for us. Regarding the question about the Slope wallet, yes they are to liable. Although they said that they are cooperating with Ottersec to collect all data so that they can make a post mortem report.

They even have an address now for the hackers if ever they decided to return and get the bounty they offered (I doubt it though). So maybe there could be people who can monitor this wallet: DyQ96GwjkHkGSzYEB4NaPk2NxsXyRTMNHKJQd3fziABf

4163  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August on: August 06, 2022, 01:13:17 PM
I think a lower low will form before the end of 2022. We will trend mainly sideways for the first half of 2023 but start to slowly rise as the halving in April 2024 nears.

I very much agree, however, I disagree on the lower low. There will not be a lower low, I reckon. I also speculate a pump to $25,000 is very much possible for this month. But September is another month and we might witness another dump under $25,000 hehehe.

$25k might be the magic number for this month or even $30k, we still have like 4 weeks to accomplished that. Otherwise, if could be that the sideway pattern will continue. As for the lower low, I'm thinking that it is possible but maybe next year. Or at least when we are about to get to the block halving, we might see a lot of FUD again that will cause to market to crash and hit another lower low, just depend on what price it will be, perhaps it could go around $13k-$15k.
4164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 06, 2022, 12:44:49 PM
As much as we love Donaire as he is a sure fire boxing hall of famer, I think moving down to 115 lbs might is seemingly improbable. OF course we can't just say that the should be retiring after that huge knock out lost to Inoue, only him and Rachel could decide for that. However, moving down might not be a good idea, not sure why, but why not going up to 122 lbs?

Anyhow, if this fight happen, I will have him winning by knock out against Ioka, but will be a close one against Chocolatito.

He thinks he still has it, for a great boxer the mind is the last to admit it, but he will soon realize that the body cannot keep up, I just hope it's not too late his body is aging, it's not the same body he has 15 years ago he may have a good chance against Ioka or Chocolatito but time is running out for him, if he really loves boxy he can train young people or do an exhibition fight, the best time to do it is now, let's see in his next fight if this is his last fight or just want to add more title for his legacy.

I agree, again and again, top and great boxers still thinks that they still have it and is going to continue with their careers despite the obvious signs that they are way past their primes already and it the end, them keep fighting might bring more harm that good to them. Its the responslity of his father and Rachel (Nonito's wife and manager), to tell him right into his face that he should consider hanging up his gloves for real. His legacy has been cemented already, there is none to prove if he fight the 2 boxers that he mentioned he love to face.
I don't even know how Donaire can make it into the superfly limit. Seems impossible, but if he can make it then there's also the chance that he becomes champion again. He is old but his power is always his equalizer in the lower divisions. And if he becomes a champion at superfly, that would make him a 5 division champion which is very rare in boxing.

I think that's what his target, to be come a 5x division champion and only few exceptional boxers have accomplished that. But then again, just the question on how he can make the limit.

122 can take Donaire's power, this is the division where his prime started to score decisions rather than knockouts. WBA and IBF champion Akhmadaliev will KO Donaire. And WBO and WBC champion Stephen Fulton will school Donaire in 12 rounds.

I hope he retires for good. Maybe he should just start coaching if he still wants to continue his career in boxing.

122 is pretty much stack up, and he might not live into this division today.

Maybe he is going after the money, or more on his legacy, or he simply can't quit because he still feels he can win another championship belt. He can also start his own gym and yes, for sure he could be a good trainer. We have seen ex boxer becoming trainers.

Lakas sana nila noong OKC days ano? Durant, Harden, WB, at prime Ibaka.

Yes, ang laki ng offer ng Houston sa kanya talaga that time, at coming from the bench is Harden nung nasa OKC sila.

Ok maybe this is a promotional stunt by Rahman,

https://twitter.com/DonaghCorby_/status/1555657996662964224

He has a mocked up weigh-in, we all know that the fight has been cancelled already, maybe he just wanted to prove that he can make the 205 lbs. Because in the video, he weighed 206.6 lbs. He just came in 1½ lbs off the supposedly agreed weight.
4167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 05, 2022, 11:03:57 PM
When he went to the Lakers with their run on the bubble, Howard wasn't a problem in and out of the court for the Lakers. Sure he still have that antics, nevertheless he has proven himself to be effective playing the center with Anthony Davis.

Same when he moved to Sixers, no issues whatsoever with him and Joel Embiid. So not sure what you mean by attitude because it seems that he has matured already and knows where to have that "good attitude" inserted. And he didn't destroy the good chemistry in Sixers, it's that he was not a perfect fit, that's the way I look at it and that's why they have given him up and Lakers pick him up again to play last season. But right now, no teams are interested on his service.

The preseason is in full swing, and I think it's too early to say that no team is interested in Howard. I won't comment on his negative impact on team chemistry, but it seems to me he could still be useful on the court as a bench player. In addition, signing Howard wouldn't be a costly deal for the management of any team as he would most likely agree to even the minimum salary.

Yeah Howard will get onto a team he can still provide minutes.  These guys have all made theor money most at the end of theor career take the vet minimum so they can jump on a ta that has a chance to play deep into the playoffs.  Just hope the Knicks steer clear.

I think the last rumor I heard was Howard was wanted by the Nets and I think he'll be included in the trade package with Westbrook to get Kyrie Irving playing beside LBJ. If that will be the case, Howard's presence will be much needed in the Nets because they have almost no power in the center, Howard also proved that he is still valuable if he's given enough minutes every play.

Frankly, Vogel almost forgot about Howard's greatness when they won the last championship because after that year, we can only see Howard playing for a max 10 mins.

I too hope that we see Howard playing a role on a contender again.  I doubt he's going to be back to the Lakers though.  I don't see the Nets signing him just to trade him either.  The recent reports seem to suggest that the Lakers are going to trade Westbrook for Jordan Clarkson & Pat Beverly, with Donovan Mitchell going to the Knicks.  I think Jordan Clarkson is a good player but I'm not sure if he's a starter on the Lakers.  Maybe...  Pat Beverly seems like he's about done in the league too, but this shows how desperate the Lakers are to get out from under Westbrook's contract.

Yeah, Utah will have to give up Clarkson, Bev and another one, Bojan Bogdanovic OR Malik Beasley and draft picks from Lakers and the Knicks. But not sure though if the Lakers will have a championship team that can match against the Warriors.

Maybe Clarkson will not come off the bench, and be their starting five and then JTA will be their sixth man. But I do agree that if Lakers is willing to do this, they are in desperate move to get rid of Westbrook.

I have never heard of this wallet but only have heard about the hack that has happened. The hackers these days are intelligent that really know where the flaws of a system are.
Sorry for the loss OP but this is the reason why we must be vigilant in the wallets that we use. Whether you use most transactions from Binance exchange, it's already outside of them and totally from slope's jurisdiction with this incident.

This cyber criminals are always one step of the game mate, and this developers should have known better. So it's really hard to fathom that they have leaked their mnemonics in plain text? how stupid is the Slope programmers are? One mistake is what it takes for his hackers to exploit that kind of vulnerabilities.
I don't know how they would end up with those logs and the hackers seem to have the idea and know the backlogs. That's why the backdoor of each system mostly for these wallets should be secured. And it's hard to trust the wallets that are quite new and the reason why many sticks to the oldest ones is because of the proven security and reputation.

Again, this are criminals, so it's like those who rob a bank, so they case everything up before attacking. And the slope developers of their mobile are so stupid to used a centralized servers in sending mnemonic code in plain text.

And there is where the hackers found the exploit, have access or hack the access of that sentry servers get all the mnemonic code and then siphon everything they can.

All I can say is this is criminal negligence on their part.
4169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: August 05, 2022, 10:15:23 PM
Yesterday, when I was already going to bed, I decided to watch a couple of gambling streams (just after this thread). Those streams that were conducted by popular streamers, and where they lost several thousand dollars, were pretty boring - they did not show any emotions. But then I watched a stream of one not very popular streamer (he had about 150 viewers) and he looked really broken after he lost about 250 dollars. So, I believe more and more that top streamers play for fake money and their streams are nothing more than casino advertisements.
That's easy to know that if that small streamer was actually gambling with his real money while big streamer may not even use 1 cents to gambling. It's often to me to see the small streamers are always feeling broken while they were loosing their money. For them 250 USD is quite large as they can use it to buy something for their live. I know that big streamers were only selling their gimmick. Getting bunch of refferal has become their main target to get bunch of money from the platforms.
If someone losing bunch of money and he must feel desperate with it.

Watched another stream today. The streamer lost 500k rubles (about 9,000 dollars) - for my country this is a lot of money. Again, everything was clear right away - even in the broadcast chat, many wrote that the streamer plays completely without emotions, as if for fake money.
I can say that before I was prejudiced about slots, now with disgust - from the outside it looks so stupid ... Just press the button and watch your balance go to zero.

That's why we call slots a luck base games because you don't need to have anything as you have said, just press the button (depending on how much you want to bet) and see how your luck goes. I will assume that the streamer was putting max beat that's why in matter of minutes he lost that huge amount.

And yes, maybe the comments is just about right, as you have said, that money is already a huge amount in your country and this guy just play it like nothing and maybe it was fake money after all just to promote the casino itself.
4170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 05, 2022, 09:57:40 PM
Teddy Atlas expressed his opinion in his podcast about the second Canelo-GGG fight and the upcoming rematch, indeed, as he believes that "the old lion can roar for the last time" and it is obvious that the victory of GGG can only provide a clear advantage that does not cause doubt among the judges and here, it seems to me, Golovkin can only count on KO.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyHI95xEqF0

The judges are already under fire, for their bias towards Canelo during the first two fights against Golovkin, and during Canelo's fight against Bivol. Do you really believe that they will risk their reputation again by showing naked bias towards Canelo? That would infuriate a lot of fans out there. And although I understand that a second consecutive defeat for Canelo can cause huge losses to the American boxing syndicates, the solution is not to rig the scorecard. Trust me, that will have just the opposite impact of what is desired by them.

As the proverbial saying goes "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". I guess everyone's eye is on the judges in the 3rd fight. They can't messed this one as bad as the 1st and 2nd fight because it is a disgrace to the sports. And it will just show how corrupt the sports up to this day if they didn't get the correct winner in the trilogy.

But both said that they are going to take out the judges in the equation. So there is a knock out ambitions from this two fighters and hopefully this is what we are going to see in the 3rd fight.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss mate, $5k is a huge amount of money, and I know it's really hard to see your wallet being drained because someone from Slope didn't go their job right.

4172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: August 05, 2022, 11:30:01 AM
But could anyone confirm the bear market is over? By what I  mean is that is the price not going to drop below 17K anymore?

When the speculators published some postsaboutBTC going below $17k weeks ago, there must have been holders dumping in anticipation of that next support to break. 6 Weeks of uptrend seem a go signal to buy for me.
I think to be able to say that we are out of the bear market, we need some validations, maybe in the range of $40k-$50k. At least that is more than 50% of the lower low of $17k.

So it's a long way to go for us, we barely made it to $25k in this last small runs in the last week or so. And we can say that we are still not out of the woods yet, we need to progress more to the price that I mentioned. So we will have to wait and see, we still have 5 months to improved the price.
For me, I will only say that we are out of the bear market if the price recovered from the last ath and that was 69k or higher than it. If only the price didn't fall this low but it only fall on 40 to 50k then you can say that fall was normal and not considered as a bear.

There is no rule which states that the bear market should end within this last 5 months, so it's pretty fine even if the bear can last till next year or so but like everyone else I also believe that after the halving takes place, the price will start to improve dramatically. That should be our last and only hope if any other attempts fail. It's going to be a long wait but no one is forced to do so.

Of course, that's definitely the case, but in a bear market like what we are experiencing, at least a decent run, maybe $30k could be a good hedge or even $30k-$50k.

I'm not saying that there is a rule, no one is etch in stone here, although it will always be in a 4 year cycle, bullrun and bearish turned. Halving is the catalyst for the next eventual bull run, I agree to that. So I would also see the bear market will last till next year, and it will still be another perfect time to accumulate.
4173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 05, 2022, 11:02:26 AM
Looks like Meralco really made the right adjustment, they were up by double digits early but now they are only up 3 points after the first half. What's important is they started strong, now, let's see if they will be able to carry that intensity in the 2nd half to even the series.
Yes, they won the game and has even the series, it's now tied 1-1. Great game by Black, he was the player of the game and happy to see coach Norman is back. It's a team's effort, I hope they can still play that well in game 3 as SMB will certainly make an adjustment to lead the series. Good luck,

I thought that they are going to choke in the 4th quarter, having a huge lead in the first half, however, they give up points, score is 76-74 early in the fourth quarter.

But since Black is there, they were able to compose themselves as Raymar Jose provided the spark scoring 7 points in that run a 9-2 putting them in front 85-76 and that was enough for them to win and tie the series 1-1.
4174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 05, 2022, 10:02:37 AM
What do you guys think about this?  Nonito Donaire won’t retire, plans move to 115 for Chocolatito Gonzalez or Kazuto Ioka next.

Quote
“It’s a really good fight with Chocolatito and people are saying it would be ‘legend versus legend,’” Donaire said through Probellum. “It’s a big fight. But I do like the Ioka fight as well because I want to get that title and become a five-division champion and then move back up to 118 and go for the undisputed crown once everything else is open and I get another opportunity for it.”

So Nonito Donaire will not retire, he will continue with his career and he will defy the odds by going down to 115 lbs and then look for money fights like against Chocolatito and Ioka.

Do you think this is a good idea? as we all know that he is already 40 yrs old and it's really hard for the body as we age?
4175  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 05, 2022, 09:33:45 AM

4176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 04, 2022, 11:59:15 PM
Shakur Stevenson does not rule out the possibility that after the fight with Conceicao he will move to the lightweight category, but as he says, everything will depend on how this fight goes and everything will depend on his physical condition.

source: https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-uncertain-if-hell-remain-130-pounds-conceicao-fight--167918

I understand this because he has the best time of his life on lightweight division by being undisputed on his title. Higher division means more risky for him and his career so I doubt he will move division while he can be on same weight class like a king. But there is really a chance that he will moved because there a vacant spot on junior welterweight championship belt that waiting for owner.

The fight that we are anticipating in 135 pounds will be him vs Tank Davis.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLEvx82C8To

And he even calls out Davis, so that is a dream match. But in any case, Shakur should do his business here, clean the 130 pounds division first. I think he can beat Cordina and Gutierrez and have all the belts. And then go up one class above at 135 pounds.

Of course, he should, if you want to excite the boxing community, the way to go is to call out the top boxer in that division, and only Tank Davis and Haney are the top names in that division he should also call out Haney, and you are right he should wipe the Junior Division first he can do that because he is the top name in that division he can pressure the other champions and promoters to do that before going up in the Lightweight, if he goes up in the lightweight division it will be one of the most exciting divisions in boxing.

I don't know, Stevenson vs Haney, I think that's not a good match, it will be boring, I would rather watch a Stevenson vs Davis because for sure Davis will dictate the fight and it will not be a boring fight.

Yeah, he is more interested on fighting Tank Davis, although Haney has is the man because he is the undisputed champion. But it seems that Shakur is thinking about the money that he can made if ever him and Davis will clash in the ring. And he wanted to test his skills obviously against a power puncher like Davis and see if he can stand a chance. His defensive prowess against a southpaw. Maybe like a similar Pacquiao vs Floyd kind of fight. But if they will face on their primes then it's going to be a must watch.

And most likely that those that have been scammed are not checking the gambling platform that they are playing hence, you just have to think that they should also be to blame here. And no one will defend that platform here, maybe except their paid shills obviously.

Well we are all talking about the list that @danherbias07 has posted and so far there is no team that an interest. If you haven't seen the list here it is:

Big names, no home. Yet.
10 of the top remaining NBA unrestricted free agents, including Carmelo Anthony and DeMarcus Cousins
1. Montrezl Harrell
2. Carmelo Anthony
3. Eric Bledsoe
4. DeMarcus Cousins
5. Avery Bradley
6. LaMarcus Aldridge
7. Dennis Schroder
8. Isaiah Thomas
9. Lou Williams
10. Dwight Howard

And unless we have a official announcement from team that will get him, we can say that even if we are in pre-season and in full swing, those in the list are not going to get any team. But as we have also been discussing, he can still rebound, defend, block shots and even score if needed. So he can be of used by teams needed a big and experience big man.

Every green monthly candle is a good thing but i am yet to see anything that says to me we are 100% out of the bear market. We’re still in a really tight, weakling price range between $19,000 - $25,000. Until we break out of this range we don’t know what’s going to happen. We can’t even break $25,000 at the moment.

I just think this is the usual bear market we have after a sustained bull market run. There isn’t anywhere near enough buying at the moment to confirm a change in sentiment.

Bear market until we break $30,000 again imo.

Yeah, it seems that the biggest barriers are $30,000, and it will take a lot of money just to get to that price range this year. But first, $25,000, but then again, we almost reach that price though, we go to as high as $24,000, but that growth was not sustainable and now we hear about US, China tensions over Taiwan. So when we thought that we can go high and shows some signs and moving to the next key resistance, the price goes down again.

I was reading through all the rankings in boxing and it appears that there is a possibility that we might be given one of the greatest superfights on 2023 if the promoters can work together. This is Naoya Inoue vs. Stephen Fulton as undisputed champion vs. undisputed champion which has never occurred before in the sport of boxing.

However, first Fulton must defeat Murodjon Akhmadaliev by end of this year and also similar for Inoue, he must defeat Paul Butler. Let us hope hehehe!

Well this is good but as you have said Fulton will have to fight Murodjon Akhmadaliev. But then again, there is the boxing politics, Fulton is a PBC fighter, Akhmadaliev is with Matchroom, so there will be a lot of negotiations behind and I don't know if this can be made. So this is going to be an obstacles, as I would see that more likely it could be Inoue vs Akhmadaliev that can be made first if Inoue decided to go up in weight class and immediately fight for the belt.
