4181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: March 09, 2018, 12:13:58 PM
Guys what do you think about Homeless people who use cryptocurrency on the street is that an evolution or something else ?

Well i would say they might have found some new ways to get some money or earn some profit. Its a revolution in terms of evolution.

Hilarious and Co. I mean very funny.  Grin
I couldn't help cracking my ribs. This is digital begging. When someone begs for bitcoin, it means they have access to the internet and or knows what bitcoin is. They should do better to start investing straight away or they are already investing.
4182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After 3 months, what do you have? on: March 09, 2018, 05:47:45 AM
I started in investing in Crypto 3 months ago as well. I have been buying on the dips but my portfolio is down 30%, this has been a horrible experience for me so far. I hope the next few months bring me better luck.

Possibly, months ahead could bring some profit. The market has been down lately. Hoping for the better is always the item for greatness. I believe the market will take a good turn around soon.

Since I joined the crypto market. My gain is zero. I only have experiences and lessons. Does that have been called successful? Huh  Undecided

You can only expect to start making profit in three months or less when you invest in bitcoin. For altcoins , you might need to wait longer. It is always nice to have a positive experience .
4183  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin down again below $ 10000 on: March 09, 2018, 03:03:31 AM
The price movement for bitcoin is usually what someone can't predict. You could wake up in the next morning and also be surprised about the shoot upwards. Lets not lose focus on the opportunity that it grants us at the moment. Time to invest.
4184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple listing on major exchanges? on: March 08, 2018, 09:10:50 PM
That will be a good news for hodler . Even such discussion when not through can get a coin to pick in value. It will help the coin to start some fantastic move to uptrend but I don't envy hodler. I wish them good luck.
4185  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dropped by $2k on: March 08, 2018, 01:21:28 PM
The reason for this recent drop to my opinion is that people are selling off bitcoin (the short term traders) because they have seen some difference as gain from their investment. They are dumping and jumping out, grabbing some $4,000, $3,000 etc as gain.
4186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best wishes Crypto Women! on: March 08, 2018, 09:37:59 AM
This particular question fits on women's month celebration, based on my own statistic analysis, almost man's or male personalities involves in bitcoin business, but not totally all female persons who access bitcoin business. As what I had been noticed, that there are also women who accessed bitcoin, but the percentage of women who accessed bitcoin are below compare to man. In my own computation, maybe 70% of male personalities who access bitcoin and only 30% on female.

Regarding to the 30% assumed for women, I do not think it is up to that. I don't really know the percentage in this forum but relating to what I know around my country, very very few woman access the internet especially to search for business opportunities. For the curiosity about bitcoin and its understanding, it is left for the male forks in my area.

So, women need to do more in taking up the challenges to go out of their gender role and do some thing more to contribute to the society. At least, we still talking about the likes of Margaret Thatcher, Mary slessor and other female heads of states and governments, Helen from Liberia too.
4187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support the Use of Bitcoin as a National Currency? on: March 07, 2018, 08:27:49 PM
While it is good news for Bitcoin users/hodlers that countries allow the use of Bitcoin as a means of transactions within their border, what will be your position if a country decides to take a step further by using Bitcoin as its national currency?

Nice question. Seeking my opinion, I would prefer that bitcoin stays as a choice like it is at the moment but it should be recognized as legally accepted in the country. With such acceptance, the two different currencies would exist distinctly and this will grow the economy and there will be choice of payment
4188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin crashes? on: March 05, 2018, 01:08:05 PM
First I will say the possibility of a total crash to zero is very slim but if that happens, it would lead to an introduction of a super coin. A coin that will be greater than bitcoin because already bitcoin is in the heart of many and more are adopting it daily.
4189  Economy / Economics / Re: Self-Regulated Exchanges on: March 05, 2018, 08:30:00 AM
Would this move of putting heads together not break the real intent of blockchain, bitcoin and decentralized nature? Obviously, this will lead to manipulation , monopoly and restrictions in transactions just like we have seen in fiat currency control with the banks , big corporations and government.

This is a way of regulation but would have been better the exchanges met different criteria themselves instead of coming as a "block" .
4190  Economy / Economics / Re: CryptoCurrency or CryptoAsset on: March 05, 2018, 06:39:36 AM
Because if bitcoins price going up and down drastically, it's got the attention of big investors and when people treat it as an asset more than a currency (not saying that is not used as a currency at all, just not as much as it should be), it's bound to continue on that path and solidify as an asset. That's why I don't think we'll ever see BTC used as an everyday currency.

I agree with this position. It might never be that we are going to see bitcoin taken over the burden of financial transactions totally because other minor payments that we are currently not being able to carry out now with bitcoin would still be there. This is one big challenge. I just see it as dominating the crypto space and alternative to fiat (maybe).
4191  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what if faced with such a situation and what your backup plan is on: March 04, 2018, 10:58:22 PM
I have to say it is a function of the coins ability to come back and maybe make profit. For me, I won't keep a coin that is not showing a sign of progress for a year.  I will sell the coin if it enters the entrying price and I will still sell at lost if the coin decides to give me sleepless night .
4192  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin making it! It broke the 11,000 ceiling heading for 12k! on: March 04, 2018, 08:58:46 PM

I think the recent pump is due to the startups all over the news saying they're adopting btc.

I saw some good news from the banks too. Like Bank of America and a uk bank saying they're planning on getting into crypto

The pumps are not far from the news coming around it as you have read. Your joy seem like you bought since price was $15,000 sometime in last year and you are seeing a possibility of recovery soon. Obviously, I also think price will get upwards very soon.  Grin
4193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC needs better PR on: March 04, 2018, 07:37:36 PM
I think bitcoin needs nothing because it is decentralized coins, there will be always some people against bitcoin and supporting it. I think that is very good and as we can see bitcoin survives.

You just said it as it is as the first person to respond. I like your direct response. Yes it has no need for PR, it will publicise itself which, it is already doing. The numbers of people that are now trading in bitcoin can't be compared to even the number we had last december.
4194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When I am able to see profit this year? on: March 04, 2018, 03:56:24 PM
I have been holding some altcoins since January 2018, But then the market crush hard and I am not able to sell my altcoins because I am in loss with these coins.
Even I invested in more established coins like, Waves, strat,Iota, wabi but overall my portfolio is around 40% down so far.

When I am able to see profit? Holding them for long term is worth my patient? Huh Huh

Your case is simple. Although I understand your want to see your portfolio being on all green. You have to be patient, the time must come before the year goes off. Do not sell off in loss. You have very established coins who will surely get back to your entering price and you can sell then if you don't want to hodl anymore.
4195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin Ends on: March 04, 2018, 03:11:00 PM
When you heard bitcoin is going to end, just think that they'll just take advantage of buying it for cheap price. Bitcoin has gone through a lot of tough times and it survived. The math is real and cryptography is real, man. And so is cryptocurrency. It's been proved a lot of times.

Yeah like it is a strategy to cause another drop so that the whales will keep increasing there quantity and profit making in bitcoin. It has been the way of giving negative news to have some drop.
4196  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and not Paying Taxes on: March 03, 2018, 09:11:55 PM
People who will get scared about catching up in the future are people who try to beat the rules. If a country is taxing on certain things for instance bitcoin, it is a call to duty on the part of the citizen. Such accumulated fund would be collected at one time or the other and it might be when not expected.
4197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain technology and bitcoin effects on developing countries? on: March 03, 2018, 06:07:15 PM
I do reason that the effect of bitcoin to every country whether India or not, is to a positive side. I mean everybody is enjoying the financial addition and gains that they get from bitcoin. Not trading on bitcoin or cryptocurrency generally, that addition will be missing. So we all should be thankful because no doubt is helping the situation of modern living.
4198  Economy / Economics / Re: Before I Die... on: March 03, 2018, 10:09:20 AM
Before i die i wanted to see every child/children in this world to be happy. No more street children. Many foods for them. A shelter for them. I hope for a better future for them!

Some of these things that are philosophised about are not realistic plus this one you have philosophised about. The old philosophers have wished of such nature of life and till now, it has not been attained. A society where everyone will be equal has been aspired even by socialist and marx but to no progress.

God has made the world the way it is.Even in the bible , we had the rich and poor. I hope we know that there was someone that was referred as the rich man.
4199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China crackdown on BTC and will support its own cryptocurrency on: March 03, 2018, 08:18:40 AM
China always support what they and dont want external project overthrown in their country, thats their plan and am sure bitcoin's will still remain the master as pioneer..

This has always been what there plan is which is why they have come this far in developing there society. They believe in patronizing home made products and that is the reason you can't compete with them in business in there own country.

I have always known that there banning of icos is just not to allow foreign ico to have any space to grow.
4200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and Cons of short-term crypto trading? on: March 02, 2018, 05:59:46 PM
Short term trade for me is more profiting in the sense that it gives you the opportunity to be in and out making profit especially when trading bitcoin that has high possibility of going bull. For comments on the harm on short term, since is trading, both short and long involves risk. Understanding the potential of coin being traded is just the point.
