Cat Coin. Nice to see a coin that wasn't premined whatsoever, and has the difficulty and circulation of Bitcoin but based on Scrypt. Very vanilla coin but much welcome and solid coin compared to many other high volume/high premined coins.

Could we have a coin that doesn't have a ridiculously low difficulty at launch? If you genuinely want this coin to have long-term value, then it can't be insta mined and then dump on exchanges. It'll just end up as another abandon-coin.
If you want your coin to actually rise above the sea of copycat garbage, that would be the way to go. I would certainly mine this if that were the case.
I don't have faith in the promises of coins any more, not unless they understand the practicalities of crypto currencies.

I don't hold many Dogecoins (less than 10k), so I don't say this as someone who is invested in the currency; it will bounce back. With the amount of crapcoins coming out on a daily basis, Dogecoins is one of the few that has a rather dedicated community going for it. The name may be ridiculous, and I know people like to hate on Dogecoin, but it's got more infrastructure than 99% of the garbage coins that now come out on a daily basis. Once that market gets flooded people are going to be tired of dump coins solely designed for insta-mining and dumping and/or making the devs tidy pocket change.

IF you can actually deliver on this concept and have actual retailers accept this coin, I'm in. If not, it's just another altcoin.
Will watch with cautious interest.

I really wish we went with a better coin image. Someone did some amazing coin renders way back in the thread. If we had one of those face on, I would strongly recommend that be the face of cat coin. Namely this; ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fi9rdM4p.png&t=663&c=5bozvnHgwk0NVw) This needs to be the official Cat Coin image. It looks freakin' amazing. If the creator could create a profile angle of that, I would vote for it a million times over to be the face of CatCoin.

Step your mining game up. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fgyazo.com%2F4ee8b7fe5eec4dc61f0452f902362bd8.png&t=663&c=PPox20ZSkwjTKw) Give this man some mooncoins.

I like how everyone keeps dismissing Cat Coin, yet it continues to go from strength to strength. Either they're publicly undermining the coin to get more for themselves, or don't understand trends. They're welcome to instamine new coins and jump from one coin to the next. Those coins will never have longevity. People are trading Mooncoons already and it's only been released a few hours. Forget that. The people who treated this coin as an easy mine, easy sell are going to regret not investing in this coin. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Also wondering how to received BTG by giving away our BTC address ^^'
I imagine your account will be tied to your BTC address, which will fund the creation of more Bitgold into your account. They give you a small stake now to start you off, and rely on you purchasing more Bitgold. I just don't understand the logic behind this. Surely you're just creating a self-contained market of Bitgold buyers, buying amongst themselves to push up the value? What happens when people stop buying Bitgold?

Well, I guess it is true that it was the first successful ump and dump. And it seems to still have pools mining it. So if they keep mining I could see it surviving but who knows if it will pick back up - are their service sites still going strong, like doge dice?
Doge has a lot more services than these new dump-quick-get-rich coins, and while everyone's lost interest in Doge now because of all the new exciting altcoins to mine, the truth is 99% of Altcoins are a flash in the pan. None of them will have any services beyond maybe faucets and exchanges. The coins that will last will be the ones that build micro economies. In time when the buzz has died down and the novelty wears off, the market will drift back to coins that have value beyond merely trading. Dogecoin is a joke, but it's a joke that's built an infrastructure. The coins that did that will last. The copy-clone dead-in-a-week coins won't,.

I honestly expect Dogecoin to bounce back, but only because it was one of the first popular meme-based coins. Not because I think it has any intrinsic value over the myriad other altcoins out there. I'll probably buy a few more when they're dirt cheap.

How many CAT do you think I can get with 35,533 DOGE?
About 20 CAT.

I'm out. Waste of mining time.
Why can't they just prepare in advance for this stuff?
