there is zero chance these will be less than $1000 US. bet.
I don't think there is zero chance, but I do get that they would be significantly undercutting their S2 product. In that case they would either deeply discount the remaining S2 stock or else they are already nearly out of stock on them. By pre-announcing the S3 I suspect their S2 stock is low. Don't forget about the upgrade options for both S1 and S2 owners. Several owners may go in this direction instead of the S3, so Bitmain's thought this one through. Alot of people may get to the Antminer S2 + upgrade kit to get to 2 TH/s...alot of possibilities for every owner, S1 through S3. And the S4 is still coming at some point.... ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif)

Hopefully the price is right. Don't worry, I think they can beat $1.99/GH/s and $2.97/GH/s. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) The Hab boards a bit less expensive then those items... but hopefully S3 is lower then them too. If the S3 is priced at 1 BTC or lower, expect Bitmain based miners hash rate to raise from their 20% total to over 30% easily of the total network hash rate. Bitmain just dominating the miner space at the moment. Can't afford an S3, you can upgrade your S1 for cheap. Can't afford anymore big miners, because you just got a S2, they got an upgrade kit for you too. And this is all before they announce the S4....

I love how bitmain is so transparent about how they fuck over the mining community, which is the practice amongst all ASIC manufactures ... but bitmain uses it as marketing =) quite clever.
-----
OK.. how exactly his he doing this? buy offering instock miners? that work? No, note I said every asic manufacture does it. Look at the pricing slope. These things cost a few hundred, if that. Yet they charge an astronomical amount more to ensure miners make only a tiny fraction of profit. Bitmain is smart though, they use that very fact as a marketing point to be like "look how our price curve allows miner to roi!!!" ... =P This is true and all, but it is better than the alternative(BFL, Cointerra, Hashfast, AMT, VMC, KNC etc) of never getting a chance to ROI. Lesser of two(more like a zillion) evils, right?

PrimeDice is the best around presently Good interface and reliable fast payouts
Best gambling site or dice game, yes. But that doesn't apply to the thread question, because it's not technically a casino. A simple site which let players gamble is still a casino. No. You need more than one game. By definition: a public room or building where gambling games are played

if all people leave ghash, where will the go?
better off to have a 51% ghash, then a 51% unknown.
BTCGuild, Eligius, Slush, Bitminer, Multipool, F2Pool, P2Pool Yes, then you will have the problem of BTCGuild having 51%. Unlikely. Both Eligius and BTCGuild have always been in the low to mid teens at their highest, and are both very fair pools. Plus, that Eleuthria guy seems like a stand up guy. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

The problem is that no one matches cex.io's service.
Cex.io's totally up to date.
The others are living in the stone age...
What's wrong with BTCGuild? I've been mining there since December, and it's always up. If there's any outages or downtime it's for like a couple minutes tops. Stable as a motherf#cka.

Philip, don't forget about the Pi each Rk-box needs and the larger power supplies you'll need for the Rk-boxes. Pretty sure the S3's will be integrated controller boards with ethernet like the S1s. And don't forget the S3's overclockability!!! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

@philipma, don't forget to factor the Pi that's separate.
You still need a Pi for each of the RK-Boxes and a beefier PSU as well.
With the S3's power draw at 390W, you can get cheaper PSU's for each, or fit more S3's onto a large PSU.
Can't say the same for the Rk-box which could possibly be more than the hypothetical 480W stated.
Also, if you want the most hash possible, you know you'll be able to overclock the S3 if it's anything like the S1 (which it looks like by all accounts and specs). So probably closer to 550 GH/s perhaps.
So let's say 5 TH/s for arguments sake for the 9 S-3's you gave in your example.
That blows the Rk-Box out of the water and out of the atmosphere at the same time.

Purify with the sacred flame brother Mathias..... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Do you guys feel the same about Walmart, McDonalds, etc? Why, does Walmart and McDonalds attempt to double spend Bitcoins and execute a 51% attack on the network? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

For Asicminer Gen 3/Rockminer perilously close, yup. If Antminer S3 is priced at 1 BTC per unit, their 20% of the network hash rate could easily jump to 30% almost overnight with the group buys and retail sales these things will generate. The S3 will sell like friggin hotcakes, no doubt, cornering the home/mid range miner and probably replace those Antminer S1 farms you see out in the wild.

So what is the best deal shipping right now?
In terms of new mining equipment without coupons, bulk discounts, or back room deals and that is shipping right now. I think it's Dragon Miners which are near $1.60 - $2 per Gigahash. This is a rapidly moving target though. Most manufacturers are not keeping up with the difficulty adjustments. You need something around $1.30 per Gigahash to break even right now with the average difficulty of 47 percent per month. (Assuming around 13 cents per kwh.) Antminer S3 if it's priced at 1 BTC per unit or less, will be the best deal shipping on the block. Please Bitmain, don't let us down.... ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

what price about Antminer S1 overclocked to 200 GH/s ?? in btc or usd ?? Both A1 and S1 sold in BTC. Rough breakdown would be 2.3 BTC for the A1 and .3 for the S1, but I'm selling both of the miners together, so 2.6 BTC. Feel free to best offer up. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I'm interested for S1 to 0.3 BTC, but I ask this price include shipping cost. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) do you have skype? or Yahoo Messenger? Sorry, I'm selling the price low at 0.3 BTC for the Ant as part of the 2 miner package. You can PM me, I check this site frequently. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

If I don't hear any shipping news by the end of this week, I think I'm going to attempt to get a refund on the X-1s I ordered through Minersource and spring for a couple of the Antminer S3s... BA, you're so behind the curve, dudes. ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) That is exactly what I have been saying, I am giving until Friday (in all honestly, I would request now with the news of that awesome sounding S3, but I previously said Friday, so I will stick to it). So come friday, if no tracking, I will happily take all my bitcoin and buy as many S3's as I can. Debitme, let's have a pact and both go for the refund route if we don't hear anything by Friday. Sick of the bullshit stall tactics and long confidence tricks. Bitmain: 1)Announce 2)Build Miners 3)Accept orders 4)Ship within a week 5)Happy Miners I know I know some exceptions with the S2, but the S3 it pretty much the S1 on steroids and I'd say there was 1% failure rate or less with those little tanks. BA, last chance homeboys....

let hope these are priced how the S1's were, not the S2's ... S2's never fucking will roi and they were garbage. S1 otoh... a gem!
This times infinity! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Price the S3s the same as or as a replacement for the S1, and Bitmain will have another winner on their hands. Plug and mine, indeed. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Can't wait to see pictures of the farms that spring up once these start selling.
