4181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the single best link to educate people about Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2017, 10:12:04 PM
I don't think you can get a much better website than the official one bitcoin.org.  It gives reasonably simple explanations for what Bitcoin is and how to use it.  Sometimes it's good to just ignore all the comments about drugs and illegal activity and just explain simply what it is like the website does.  People usually understand.

I'd have to say this is one of the toughest things when it comes to Bitcoin because when people hear about it the only thing that they hear is that it's this crazy online coin that is anonymous and used by people to buy and sell drugs. This is something that the MSM (Mainstream Media) put out in order to get people to think this was what Bitcoin was entirely, as we know this is only a small portion of what people do on Bitcoin.

And I think it's insane when people come out and say we should ban Bitcoin cause people use it for illegal uses. Like OK? Don't people use every single currency on earth for some sort of illegal use at some point, that's one of the shittiest arguments someone can make.

Khan academy link is good though, that has a series of videos and is really good help.
4182  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitfinex turning into Mt. Gox? on: April 23, 2017, 09:26:02 PM
Is it possible that banking cartel is punishing them together for suing Wells Fargo?

Wouldn't doubt it, and even if it was happening at the moment we wouldn't even know because everything would be behind closed doors when doling out such punishments.

Bitfinex should know not to go up such a huge bank with such a large amount of influential people in it and around it, really poor choice.

Still I think these issues with a bank is bound to happen with an exchange of their side and I think this is going to all end pretty soon when the bank sees how much in fees and such they're going to miss out on when they find another bank who's going to pick BFX up as a customer.

Since BTCe and OKcoin have started suffering the same issue, this might be a bit wider problem not restricted to Bitfinex only. Hope this gets resolved soon, BTC price started increasing again, we dont need this kind of panic.

Well, Banks don't want Bitcoin to thrive so this could be them attempting to limit it.
4183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: North Korea Nuclear Missiles Bad Quality - What To Do, If They Fail During Test on: April 23, 2017, 08:39:31 PM
According to Wikipedia, North Korea have around 35 nuclear missiles with range up to 3000 km, see link here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Korea#Military. I think North Korea manufacturing quality is much lower than Chinese, so nuclear missiles bad quality can lead to wrong direction during test flights. What will do US warships in the region, if North Korea missile go in wrong direction because of manufacturing mistake ?

The quality of the North Korean missiles are not as good as the Russian and the American missiles (don't want to compare them with the low quality Chinese missiles). But then with the nukes, you don't want to take any chances.

I wouldn't guess that these missiles could've failed due to numerous reasons and incompetence on the side of the North Koreans. It's simple to see that they're attempting to rush achievements relating to ballistic missiles and such so I wouldn't doubt that the reason they could be failing so much is because they're really not ready to do all of this and Kim is forcing the military to try to act strong.

Plus, isn't everything they have in their military like from the Cold War era anyway? I wouldn't think that they'd be able to really develop anything that they'd be able to compare to anything the US / Russia has and uses on a daily basis. They don't have anything close to the military industrial complex that the US has, it's really crazy what we're able to develop with the insane amount of money spent.
4184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: French Election on: April 23, 2017, 07:35:31 PM
Nothing. I am sure that it will not become the next President of France. If this Nazi wins the election it will be in the same situation as Trump. Only she'll have less room for manoeuvre. I hope the French will not make the same mistakes as the Americans.

I've never been one to understand in the least how you can call someone a Nazi just because they're conservative and on the far-right when it comes to policies and issues. America didn't make a mistake in the least and if you think Clinton would've been a better choice I don't know what you're missing in your brain but you should fix it.

You're probably one of those people that think all of those Republica, White, Males, are horrible Nazis based on their skin color and hate everyone. Get the fuck outta here ya Liberal scum, ACTUALLY ANTI-FAC would love ya please join bud.

Loved to see based stick man kick ya ass.
4185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: CNN told about the Russian "father of all bombs" on: April 23, 2017, 05:22:34 PM
This is good news. The fact that another country has a larger non-nuclear weapon than America brings hope to the belief (held by some more than others) that America is not actually a warmonger. At least not as big as some would try to make others believe.

I wonder if test videos of the Father exist online somewhere?

I wouldn't know why'd it be good to think that just because two countries have something it's fine for them to both have it. I think most countries do have an arsenal with bombs of this size anyway, it's not like they're using them all the time but when they do it's something that's documented.

I don't know if CNN was showing a video of the MOAB on their snap-chat story thing when they were talking about the Russian one because I think it was supposed to be 4x as large.

The US is doomed. I just wonder how many nukes they have vs what is recorded. Well either way it's still more than any other country. Get ready for WW3

We have the better nukes bud, Russians have old military equipment and haven't updated in a long time. Do you see some of the tech the US has at the moment?
4186  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If you owned biitcoins.com what would you do with it ? on: April 23, 2017, 04:30:37 PM
I'd immediately think the website was a scam trying to pass off as Bitcoins.com and just click away.  The double i is very sketchy

Yeah this right here is probably going to be the one thing that is going to explain what most people think of the site, this is in a time where phising scams are all too common so I would 1 hundred percent think this site was trying to pass off as Bitcoin.com

You'd have to do some crazy amount of advertising and making sure people knew you were legitimate with that domain. Plus you probably wouldn't even get much organic traffic from it / misspelling traffic as people would simply think it's a scam site.

So, I'd do a good amount of advertising or try to sell it for whatever I could get.
4187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC.com Be Trusted? on: April 23, 2017, 03:21:43 PM
Looks trustworthy but I would personally rather use one of the trusted and reliable ones that have worked and you know what they say, don't fix something that works fine. I personally use BitGo but I've used Blockchain.info for awhile and both of them are pretty viable options for someone that wants to really get the go ahead on working with a wonderful made wallet.

So, just to end it here I'd say don't trust it unless someone says its good and trusted members put reviews up about it. Until then, just stick with the trusted ones.
4188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Daily use of bitcoin? on: April 23, 2017, 02:35:22 AM
Personally the only use that I have for Bitcoin would be to buy games on Steam as I'm not one that really feels comfortable with really using my credit card online, sometimes I do with very reliable companies but for games I like the ability to use my Cryptocurrency in which I make on here and through other freelancing means.

If I had stores around me, I would use Crypto in real life but the only reason I would see the need for that is if it would be cheaper instead of using Credit Cards and other means of paying for it. But without the way for means of saying money I really wouldn't use Crypto in real life.

It's not that I don't believe in Bitcoin it's that I wouldn't do it unless it makes sense for me.
4189  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bank on: April 20, 2017, 10:46:08 PM
Bitcoin banks that make money from transfers internally,
How do you think and opinion?

I don't think something like this would work at all, though I would think a Bitcoin bank would be operating like a real bank in pretty much every other nature when it comes to things.

It'd be operating like a business as a bank so it would allow for people to deposit money safely and then would use this money to loan out to be able to make profits for themselves. With these loans people would probably be going through stringent checks and also have some sort of collateral to ensure that people weren't going to be able to scam.

I think it would work in theory, but when put into practice it would require a ton of trusts from people to be able to have faith in the bank to not just run away with everyones money. It's tough but it'd be possible with a lot of security.
4190  Economy / Economics / Re: Design The Perfect Bank on: April 20, 2017, 04:58:56 AM
The ideal is one that allows you to have a dedicated manager in an agency close to your home, and to totally manage my account online, easily and in real time, but also personalized at moderate prices and sophisticated services...None is completely perfect (or imperfect either). Thus, ideally, to have the best Bank, should use the services of several banks! And i want to add: to open an account easily, quickly 100% online.
I prefer online banking. I have not visited my bank agency since about 3 years. I don't need any other currency than one. As for the fees, this is where I am not happy, they charges me monthly 2 times more than what my mobil phone bill, to compare... Can you believe that ! The only thing i use is their website !
Now there are banks 100% online and it becomes more and more pouplar and it's cheap, I am thinking to switch to one of them as they charge 3 times less than my current bank
I do agree with you, we can see many banks that are online-based, and pretty much they operate only through Internet, with some exceptions, because if you want it or not, every bank needs headquarters, or the place where the consultants and bank employees work.

First, I would suggest that having a totally free account is a good idea, when you have to pay every month for just having your account registered, this is not something we wan't in 2017, am I right?
I dont even think that this is even worth to continue, because I think that the banks should never been made, all they can do is literally rip off the money out of the rest of society.

Funny thing about all of this thread is that I just put up a post about bitcoin banks and how it could work though it would rely a lot on trust which is tough to find on the internet.

I'd say one of the first things you have to touch on is the part that you'd have to be able to trust the people that run the bank itself and someways to safeguard against the owners of this bank from being able to exit-scam. But personally, I'd rather see a bank run more like a credit union if we're talking about the Crypto world too.

I'd be nice, but it'd take a lot of time, work, money and trust.
4191  Economy / Speculation / Re: 21 BTC = inflation-adjusted $millionaire in 12 years on: April 20, 2017, 04:13:44 AM
In 12 years most of the bitcoin supply will already be mined. 20 million coins mined, the remaining BTC will be the one that goes slowly released through the rest of the 140 year period.

In practice, more than 1 million coins will be lost. This puts the 21 BTC holders in less than 1 million person on the entire planet.

This MUST mean that holders of 21 BTC are at least $millionaires. Otherwise BTC would have been a failure as a store of value (this is irrelevant to the scaling debate).

That would make each Bitcoin worth around $47,600 in 12 years. That sounds high, but anything is possible. I also think there will be a large number of Bitcoins permanently lost due to lost private keys, forgotten coins, death of the owner, etc. Once they are lost, they can never be recovered, so the number of list Bitcoins will continue to rise. This will make Bitcoins even more scarce.

I've never been someone to understand how someone thinks bitcoin can ever hit this mark, like at any point let alone in 12 years. This is going to mean that people feel that Bitcoin is so valuable that they'd offering 47000 to buy 1 btc, which means that something drastically changed through time that I was and am unable to see.

It's pretty crazy to even be able to think this and it's something that isn't just going to happen at all, all these too the moon kiddos will be sad to see is that if they want Bitcoin to be adopted to a massive scale the price is going to need to stay and level out at some point. I think this range is perfectly fine.

4192  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in Annual investment on: April 20, 2017, 03:49:56 AM
At least its better than holding on a wallet. Its a question about risk managment at all.
But i would never say 4% is bad.

4 percent seems like a pretty lowball number with the amount of risk involved in leaving it in their wallet, so I'll have to agree with ya on this one that it's a pretty horrid interest rate.

For 4 percent there is some risk involved but with the amount of sites that get "hacked" and lose everything I wouldn't even want to risk it with this. The only way the owner could get this to work is if he put in some safeguards or escrow accounts with customers money though then it would defeat the purpose of him having customers money to be able to do stuff with within his site.

Maybe just offer higher interest amount with no escrow and see if he can get more business, that'd be all from me.
4193  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are signature campaigns really working for gambling sites? on: April 20, 2017, 03:00:55 AM
I really wonder this. I never clicked a signature ad and am wondering if it works for gambling sites. I need to be enlightened in this topic, because it looks like a waste of money to me.

Its not a total waste. Advertising your website is a crucial part in marketing strategies. If people dont know about your website then all of your other offers will be a nonsense. So it is necessary. I say Signature campaign, social media campaign and a sign up bonus is mandatory.

I think he's saying it in the sense that there is a lot of people on here that are part of signature campaigns and most of the time people don't even click on the links as they don't care or they've already seen 50 other sig ads in the thread that they're replying to / reading.

I would say they work but it's not the most effective way to go about it, but I guess you're hitting on the biggest site for bitcoin so it'd be better than targeting crypto groups on twitter, facebook and so on.

I think signatures campaigns are really working within the forum especially if the person wearing the campaign materials is helpful in the community and/or posting in different section of the forum since it gives more exposure to different audience within the forum community.  Whether the visitors or member to play in the casino depends on the offer of the Casino and is out of the responsibility of the signature participants.

The question is if its helping the sites bud, not the people wearing the sigs.
4194  Economy / Web Wallets / Is BitGo as safe as they claim? on: April 20, 2017, 01:19:21 AM
Have been using BitGo for awhile based on the security that they say they offer and I had moved over from Blockchain on the reason that I feel I'd be in full control of the keys with my wallet. Now I know some people will say that I only have half but that means I have more control than most web wallets I'd say.

Would someone say BitGo is as safe as they claim and worth it or are there better alternatives?

Thanks for the help.
4195  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is fairpumps legitimate? on: April 20, 2017, 12:06:11 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=756764.0

It seems to be a quite old group, so if they are still pumping after over 2 years it has to be real. Whether it's worth it to pay the fee is another thing, as their pumps could as well be financed with these fees.

With Bitcoin and unregulated online businesses like those, they could be a scam or stop being a scam at any time.  Even if they're lasting for a really long time they could still be a scam.

They could even be legit but just be a site that follows another group which is more private and announces the pump when they do.

No matter what their situation is, pumps and dumps are some really shady activity which you probably shouldn't be taking part in and for everyone who succeeds, someone else is going to fail (and there's very little skill in it, you could be dumping at the right or wrong time based on a matter of seconds).

Fairpumps is legitimate and actually uses a good amount of new tech to be able to ensure that no one is cheated when a pump is occuring, everyone is going to be on the same ground (in theory this is)

There is a high chance for people to be scammed during a pump as the owners or someone in power could be buying in small amounts beforehand. Though the entire process of (pumping and dumping) is a bad one anyway.

I would advise against doing it and stick to normal investing as you stand to lose a lot if you get in at the wrong time.

Good luck.
4196  Economy / Economics / Re: The fiat-money bubble! on: April 19, 2017, 11:28:05 PM
No one can predict what exactly will happen in the future. In the event of a nuclear war, they can turn off electricity and the Internet, no currency will have value.

I wouldn't say no currency would have value in this situation, but at one point their will be something that rises above all the be worth something, the gold companies will say its gold, silver companies will say its silver, and so on and so forth.

But yes, at some point all fiat-currencies are going to have to crash and we just have to wait for this to occur. I think that by the time this happens we're not going to even be able to use Bitcoin as we've entered a time where the internet and infrastructure has been destroyed (this is if fiat dies too)
4197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What u think will happen if Amazon would accept BTC? on: April 19, 2017, 11:07:56 PM
As I've said many times, I don't think companies like this are going to be the ones that go ahead and move to accepting Crypto based on the fact that you're going to be using them either way if you want to buy something from their site. It's sad that they wouldn't want to innovate, but why would they spend the time and money associated with it when they don't need to in the least.

But going on the tangent of if they would accept BTC, I think it would start to stabilize the price of bitcoin based on the fact that a lot more people would be using it and it would be in demand for the price to be stable.

This option is unlikely due to the fact that bitcoin is not regulated by anyone. But if they could do this, then the crypto currency would be much more popular and its price would rise significantly.

Price would need to stabilize, people don't want to be using a currency this is worth x amount one day and 9/10th of that the next day. This is why people don't want to put their savings accounts into bitcoin too.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/aaron-hernandez-found-not-guilty-double-murder-191053284.html

WOW...Aaron Hernandez found not guilty of the double murder. Unbelievable. There was so much evidence to prove this guy's guilt. I can't believe it.

I wonder if he'll sue the prosecuting jurisdiction for significant lost wages he would have otherwise gotten from the NFL. Not that he deserves it, but because he can.

Well, anyway there's now new news in which Aaron Hernandez hung himself in his cell a couple day after all of this, who knows if it was from guilt or if he didn't want to spend his life in prison due to him already having a life sentence on the other murder which he committed.

Horrible to see, as people do want him to rot in a cell but I guess he won't be able to harm anyone else as he's dead now.

Fuck Aaron Hernandez.
4199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump: Buy America, Hire America on: April 19, 2017, 10:07:05 PM
I find it ironic that Trump suddenly wants everything made in 'murica

99% of the products Trump sells are made overseas... he doesn't make anything in 'murica himself!

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/08/26/how-many-trump-products-were-made-overseas-heres-the-complete-list/
Quote
The Facts

Trump apparel

The Donald J. Trump Collection includes ties, suits, dress shirts, eyeglasses and other accessories.

Trump shirts were made in China, Bangladesh, Honduras and Vietnam. PolitiFact Virginia found some Trump sport coats made in India. The Clinton campaign pointed to import data from 2007 that showed a Trump men’s shirt shipment marked as made in South Korea.

Some of the Trump suits on Amazon.com show they were imported, Made in USA or both. BuzzFeed ordered a suit that was listed as both “imported” and “Made in USA” — and ended up with a label showing the suits were made in Indonesia.

Users commented on Amazon.com that the suit that BuzzFeed purchased previously was listed as being imported from Mexico or China. This photo shows a Trump suit that carries a “Made in Mexico” label.

Manufacturing information online is not always reliable — for example, a photo of one shirt shows a “Made in Bangladesh” label, but the item description says it was made in China. This may be a reflection of the different countries that products sometimes pass through before they are ultimately shipped into the United States.

Trump eyeglasses are made in China. Cufflinks and other accessories do not list the source of manufacturing on Amazon.com.

“Success by Trump,” a cologne in the Trump Fragrance line, was manufactured in the United States, according to PolitiFact Virginia. The Trump campaign’s “Make America Great Again” hats are made at a Southern California factory and are labeled “Proudly Made in USA.” (from imported materials)

Trump home items

Trump Home has a range of items, including chandeliers, mirrors, bedding, table lamps, cabinets, sofas, barstools, cocktail tables and more.

Trump expanded the Trump Home brand internationally, including in Turkey. A Trump Organization news release shows it partnered with a global luxury furniture brand, Dorya International, to expand the Trump Home brand to a production facility in Turkey. According to Furniture Today, components of the Trump by Dorya furniture were made in Germany, particularly the brass and stainless pieces.

Several Trump Home items are listed as made in China or imported from China — mirrors, ceramic vases, wall decorations, kitchen items and lighting fixtures. The Clinton campaign has pointed to a trademark registration for the Trump Home brand that shows picture frames and other home products were made in India.

The Trump Home by Rogaska tabletop collection featured a crystal and china collection with a company based in Slovenia. Trump bedding comforters are listed as made in USA.

Trump hotel items

Many hotel amenities at Trump’s hotels were manufactured overseas and imported. Trump Hotel pens were made in China or Taiwan, and imported into the United States via South Korea. Shampoo, body wash, moisturizers, shower caps, laundry bags, show bags, pet collars, pet leashes and bath towels at Trump hotels are all listed as made in China.

Trump beverages

The Trump Natural Spring Water is served at Trump hotels, restaurants and golf clubs. Trump water comes from New York or Vermont, and is bottled in New York.

Trump Vodka was manufactured at a distillery in the Netherlands, supposedly distilled five times from “European wheat,” but the distribution company stopped carrying it in 2010. An Israeli company continued to carry Trump Vodka, although the version sold in Israel is different from the original Trump Vodka. The Trump Vodka produced and sold in Israel is made from ingredients that make it kosher for Passover, which made it a popular beverage around the holidays. But the Jerusalem Post reported that it turned out that not all ingredients actually were kosher for Passover.

The Bottom Line

The Clinton ad claims that “Trump’s products have been made in 12 other countries.” This is correct. We know of at least 12 countries where Trump products were manufactured (China, the Netherlands, Mexico, India, Turkey, Slovenia, Honduras, Germany, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Vietnam and South Korea). Further, Trump products transited other countries through the packaging and shipping process — meaning workers in more than 12 countries contributed to getting many of Trump’s products made, packaged and delivered to the United States.

See I've seen this same sort of bullshit pushed by people all the time and don't understand why they think that just because he buys his goods for his campaign and his business from overseas that means he wouldn't want the American taxpayer to be furthering the development of the American economy.

Think of it like this, if Trump was buying all these goods from America in his huge business, he'd be missing out on a large amount of profits due to this, and a business is only going to be seeking profits at the end of the day.

Can't blame the guy for being a good businessman and putting that above the whole buy America thing. But he is pushing this narrative now and actually getting to work about it.

-> What do you have to provide ?
-> Maybe start by showing us what you have done ?
-> What's in it for developers for applying through your platform/working with you ?
-> Are you planning to start an organization on github ? If yes, start by linking to your profile maybe ?

-> there's several ideas , some games and some business solutions.
-> unfortunately , a few examples of my work exist online.
-> A profit share for the whole team , I don't target the developers only.
-> I don't upload my projects on github.

If you're going to be saying that examples of your work online, you probably should be following with actual links to the sites that are using your work. Plus who doesn't upload their stuff to GitHub, even personal projects that you did in the start just for the fun of coding and not for money.

Like I get some projects have to be private BUT YOU DONT HAVE A PORTFOLIO OR ANYTHING BUD?

If you want work, you have to advertise yourself and not just come here saying I need a team of devs and I'm a dev too.
