4181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 18, 2019, 07:42:04 AM
we know that most of the holders of bitcoin only use bitcoin as an investment tool to make more fiat money. they do not use bitcoin as a means of payment because indeed some countries in the world also have not legalized bitcoin as a means of payment. and also quite difficult to be able to find a store or company that is willing to accept bitcoin as a payment tool. if I live in a country that legalizes bitcoin, of course I will use bitcoin. therefore we as part of the bitcoin community we must always spread good news about bitcoin so that bitcoin can be accepted by the government and bitcoin can be adopted en masse.
In my country there are stores that accepts bitcoin already, but only few uses it. Im planning to hold on to my btc as I see it arise before but was not able to convert it, so all I can do is wait. However if buying small amounts I pay btc when available just to test how it works and there are some customers who will be amazed and tries to know how it works.
4182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Keybase airdrop fake not pays on: November 17, 2019, 02:49:45 PM
Things like this that make me less like airdrop program, because they just cool to make a promise to pay, even though not pay at all, even though not all airdrops are like this, but because one or two airdrops like this will damage the reputation of the airdrop the others too.
What are you talking about?
Keybase airdrop is paying, many people have gotten their airdrop since two days ago if I remember it correctly.
Nothing is fake in here, you can check it out on their distribution address https://stellar.expert/explorer/public/account/GDV4KECLSZLKRVH4ZTWVAS4I3W2LPAPV66ADFFUZKGIVOTK6GMKGJT53
Many already said it's legit, OP should contact the anyone related or assign in airdrop to know what the reason of his not getting any, as well check the rules whether he missed something or got disqualified for some reason. He better checked for him to be calm and not put accusations.
4183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The NO-BS guide to earn free cryptocurrency on: November 17, 2019, 01:43:19 PM
Nothing happens for free. In any case, you invest something, be it money or your time, which is much more valuable than money. There are no 100% guarantees anywhere, this must be understood.
If you are promised the golden mountains with a guarantee of return - think about it. Why would anyone write a guide on how to earn $ 1000-2000 $ while revealing the secrets of their strategies for free.
This does not happen.

Your guide, by the way, also does not say anything specific regarding earnings, dead figures which tomorrow may no longer reflect today's reality.

Some still do it for free but mostly if it's for their families or relatives, but sharing secrets for others is not guaranteed that will really be profitable or be the same on how it works on them. All we need is to research, study and create conclusions that we think we can stand still and will not regret in the end in any crypto activities. Don't focus on free, it's OK to put effort and some capital. It's more worth it.
4184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption of crypto in retirement savings plans growing on: November 17, 2019, 12:42:22 PM
Not a bad idea. Imagine working at an organization and you get all your pension or retired benefits in Bitcoin! You'd be a billionaire by the time you retire in 20 - 30 years time (unless the bear market lasts that long, then you'd be really messed up)  Grin
I'm planning to use some of my alts for retirement too, though the market been too volatile and some alts I thought will keep their projects promise seems to failed I bought a VUL for a backup. It's nice that there is already a account that will give insurance for these retirement funds. But know that it maybe risky since nothing is guaranteed even they give insurance.
4185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins on: November 16, 2019, 02:38:17 PM
I have a friend which do had a coin that he received way back 2016 as an airdrop, I don't remember the exact name of the token but they've received a lot of it since it only had few cents of dollars on its price, and he hold it, in the year 2017, it went so high and he even built his own house already that year by his profits on that "shit coins" that he thought it was, that is why my mindset about tokens who have only few cents on their name changed, I hold them hoping that after a year or maybe two, it will gives me also profits like what happened to my friend, but until now, I still don't get any.
Year 2017 can be consider as the year for almost all alts not just in BTC, it's also the year when ICO gains success even the projects are not too good. Many projects were able to be successful as well those bounty participants and even just in airdrop. Lucky those who get the chance to spend their earning in bounties those years as we may need to wait longer till it happens again and by that time we're not sure if our alt holding especially if not that popular is still alive in the market.
4186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are the positive news and those users? on: November 16, 2019, 11:15:56 AM
At this time, since the market is in bear and slow progress it will be better to keep our speculation as well TA to ourselves, as our thoughts might influence other to wrong perception and invest amounts they are not able to risk just because we posted something seems believable. Be kind to newbies give some thoughts with realistic source, basis and proofs.
4187  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Plans To Onboard 180 Fiat Currencies on: November 16, 2019, 09:20:50 AM
Why would you think that this will all of a sudden propel adoption worldwide to a new level? Doesn't make much sense to me if you put it that way, because there are already a ton of regulated exchanges that do the same thing in terms of allowing its users to trade fiat and whatnot.

I actually think that Binance is going in a potentially dangerous direction that will expose them to more regulatory pressures.

They used to deal exclusively in cryptos meaning that they can allow anonymous users a nice 2 BTC daily limit without verification. But once they start accepting so many fiats as deposits, I'm not sure if that's still possible.
Binance been having a lot development in a fast phase, like their DEX, accepting fiat, and the plans to have a Beijing office. This can help to attract those user who are not yet into crypto but still wants to try to buy some alts but it can lead into a bigger problem once too many option especially inclusion of government's currency will be included in an exchange that may not be acceptable in other countries.
4188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2020 on: November 16, 2019, 07:58:10 AM
I think a good investment in 2020 it is still Bitcoin because this coin is king in crypto and of course Bitcoin is the first to invested. yes agree, besides that that Ethereum and the coins below are also good investments for the coming year. there might be new coins will to launch in the new year and let's wait whether it will be as good as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
Bitcoin is still a good investment if we don't want to risk more in other alts volatility. As Link, XRP and ETH is also good investment that They can be good to use in day trading to earn. I prefer to have some alts too while acquiring more btc to held. For newbies and don't who prefers just to hold then BTC can be a good start as some alts depends on btc price too.
4189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is True Decentralization a Myth? on: November 16, 2019, 03:39:10 AM
there is no perfect decentralization, all consensus has its drawbacks. so don't be surprised by this. but I think the current blockchain technology (except POS / DPOS) is better and far from centralized. even though it's not perfect yet, but we can still compromise on this.
For now we might not consider them perfect as we all know they can still all improve and can still have many ways to progress and be entirely decentralised. But for now as government finds it unacceptable for them as they don't have control over things that's why they should still be sort of customization happening in different projects.
4190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Prove that you shouldn't rely on icobench and others on: November 15, 2019, 02:18:21 PM
I never trust the rating because I don't think that will be a true review or honest review from the website rating. We don't know if they really give the review based on the project utilities or the goals that the project wants to reach in the future. Sometimes we can see that the rating only based on how much money people can make if they invest in the project and not how the project will work or what the project can give to people. I think that is because the project wants to invite more investors, so they used that way and pay more to the website rating so their project will look better than the other project.
There are some review in some ICO reviews that are too good to be true, sometime you see that they give good feedbacks on alts that sometimes considered scam in these forum or alts that are duplicate of other alts. I don't know what their basis, is it the projects quality or the projects paid advertisement/marketing amount in them.
4191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My research for spam coins/tokens on: November 15, 2019, 09:25:42 AM
Bro my purpose for posting. Is don't invest in these dead or scammer project,
For those only think that every coin that is listed on CMC is legit.

Others should stop thinking that all listed in CMC is legit, it's still a business, they were paid by those projects to list their token. Maybe newbies will still be victim of those tokens but when we invest or even join in bounties make sure that those projects are worth having and have used or purposes why that token created.
4192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 15, 2019, 06:59:16 AM
Here in my country (in the Philippines), we do have some level of regulation and knowledge about cryptocurrency, in fact, there are news of police raiding some cryptocurrency scammers. Still, the amount of illegal activities here is not decreasing due to the fact that we are still lacking knowledge and equipment to track or raid this type of things. Though we are still positive about adopting cryptocurrency.
Detecting crypto scammer is hard in our country, some uses it for their own benefit and suse bitcoin as their medium of payment that makes bitcoin to others a scam, but what's good in our country is they allowing regulations and acceptance in some stores and bank the use of bitcoin, we can still consider ourselves lucky as no restrictions or banning happening unlike in other countries.
4193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: which exchange should I use? on: November 14, 2019, 10:14:52 PM
is that really yours ? dang the wallet hold tons of cash . i think the wallet is owned by a dex exchange or by some big investor simillar to that   . im pretty sure that most of those coins wont be found on binance because binance exchange mainly foccus on solid cryptos and not mainly on toks/alts but i heard that there is a binance dex ( a dex version of binance ) you might want to check that out  or you can also try etherelta  , forkdelta  , idex   .
I think OP is trolling, he only used his account for the 1st time to post others wallet, Maybe all his doing is checking ETH address he seen before and finding ways to hack/trace those accounts. Owner of that wallet probably knows how to trade and also know when to trade or not, maybe still waiting since due to bear market it slash that already huge amount maybe its more before.
4194  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [GABAY] Kahalagahan ng 2 Factor Authentication on: November 14, 2019, 04:23:17 PM
4195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price today returned to $ 7,800 on: November 14, 2019, 03:46:59 PM
everyone should not try to find exact bottom . prices bitcoin can jump to 11000 usd per btc at any moment . the recent pump can give lot of hope for holders ;halving coming and you should never sell . prices can reach 15000 usd per btc before halving

Yes that's  nice to hear but sometimes it becomes difficult to manage emotions especially when you don't want to risk the existing value when you have planned for a short term investment, it become too tough to hold on that's why I have segregated my investment into different grades like short term funds,  long term funds and day trading. Yes we need to dedicate a set amount of BTC to sell in post halving.
Diversifying and having strategic plan is all we can do to assess what we ever needed as we still need to gain profit while waiting for the market to be at bull and to do that day trading can give us earning depending on the alts we will choose. It's hard sometime to sell when you thought that coin can be for long term but been too low for updates or some hypes,
4196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What type of Cryptocurrency is used in the Deep Web for transactions? on: November 14, 2019, 01:46:13 PM

I thought the deeponion is also being used there. I'm not sure if there are merchants in out country that sells stuff in dark/deepweb right now but the last time I tried visiting there was none. There would be 3rd party escrow I guess or  smartcontract when making transaction I guess in deepweb. If LTC is mostly used in deepweb the fact that they don't have privacy feature, there would be no need for privacy coins why create one?
I also thought Onion is made for that but as per their website stated "Important Note: We do not use referral links or receive payments from any darkweb market" , I thought before as it is advertised as an anonymous cryptocurrency which all crypto should be apparently no longer these day but onion also says that they allows to privately send high-speed transactions.  There might be different alts uses this days by different transactions in darkweb like ltc,eth and etc. depending on fees.
4197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start on Bitcoin? Where is the best place to invest? on: November 14, 2019, 11:08:45 AM
for newbie the best site exchange is binance . because there is lot of fake site exchange that close without returning money to their users  . you should avoid investing in altcoins because the last does not give benifite and it can disappear from exchange and market at any time .and for sure the good investement is buying bitcoin now and hold for long time

It's not for long that they will only invest in bitcoin, it's also good to try investing try crypto simulators, there are demo accounts in exchanges where you can do trial trading or simply search and download at crypto trading simulator while you're holding BTC so you can trade other alts maybe those top 10 when you have extra for trade.
4198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 13, 2019, 04:04:08 PM
You forgot to mention trading but this is a known source of making cryptocurrencies.
I was also surprised that trading wasn't mentioned by anyone or by the OP,  and most times when I see threads on how to make/earn cryptocurrencies, only very few users remember trading, and I think the reason is because is trading is not a very easy method, and as a result it escapes their minds.

Mining and Trading were not included might be due it requires a lot of skills that are not usually easy to grasp and equipments if mining. Unlike those listed that can easily acquire, already doing in personal life or can be study by just watching YouTubes or reading rules in this forum. Lending can be included too but its also risky and needs to have a capital.
4199  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Change in Prices on Bitcoin's utility as Currency on: November 13, 2019, 03:31:16 PM

Overall Outcome: If the future expected price of Bitcoin is higher, lower will be the use of Bitcoin for payment purpose. On the contrary, lower the future expected price, higher will be the use of Bitcoin for payment purpose.

I dont really expect this to happen in this era.
Perhaps when the bitcoin number to be mined is almost depleted.
For now, acquiring it has many options and most of the investors is by buying it.
But not for usage. As you said it is just to keep it or a store of value. Some do use it to avoid taxation and some just prefer it as the new currency which is a small percentage of all those three.

The volatility seems to be the wall of it. If the price keep on jumping to a different number, it will be difficult for merchants to come in.
As adoption didn't happen fully yet then there barely no ways to use it as payment, those merchantscan attract some buyers who hold bitcoin. But some still prefers to hold and wait till the supplies are all mined and supplies became limited. Some might only buying in some store just to try to do transactions in real life like what I'm doing in paying bills but when there is chance to buy BTC at lower price I still take that as an advantage as we don't still know what price it can be in the future higher or lower.
4200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think the Bounty program is over? on: November 13, 2019, 02:10:32 PM
Bounties are still there, it was just hard to detect one these days. Due to many history of scamming, failed projects and not yet paying bounties it's getting harder to know which of which is worth spending our effort in ICO bounties. But I still see it's potential profit in the future once a better marketing like projects putting real budget for bounties from their early partnership or investors and ICO detector or regulation created it can be like 2017 bounties again may not be that big in reward amounts but atleast a legit and paying ones.
