The Broncos are not finding that second gear like you mentioned Timelord. There seems to
be a really wide gap between the top and bottom teams, lots of big scoring difference games.

The Pro14 Rainbow Cup final is on tomorrow, I cannot place a bet on the clear favourites,
The Vodacom Bulls, obviously sportsbet are not giving Benetton a chance at all!

Need opinions about Sweden vs Slovakia, what do you think guys? I made a parlay bets of 6 matches, 5 of the 6 matches won already and Sweden vs Slovakia will be the last match. Odds for the parlay is 49x and if I cash out my bet then I'll get nearly half of the possible winning of the parlay. I chose Sweden to win but at the moment I'm a bit doubt that Sweden will be able to win.

FYI, I did not spend my own money here since I placed the bet from a freebet that I won in Fortunejack's Euro Prediction Challenge. What do you think? Should I cash out or let it go? If I cash it out now then I'll get around $600 and if I let it go then I'll have the chance to win $1,300 but I may lose my bet if Sweden fail to win.

Well @Bitinity, what was your play? did you let it run or cash out?

I really hope you let it run and take your 49x reward, that was a really good parlay pick.

When Bitcoin goes to $250,000 the OP will be looking back at this thread and regretting they
didnt put ALL the savings into Bitcoin.

If we use Michael Saylor's Microstrategy as an example, they own 91,000 Bitcoin, he is not worried
about a possible loss, he doesnt see one.

As @mk4 states,  make sure you know what you are getting into, be aware that if you buy now
the price of Bitcoin can go down, the key is to "not panic" and sell at a loss, this is a long term game.

I have 3 bets on for today,

Ukraine 1.66
Belgium 1.97
Netherlands 1.62

I think the odds for Belgium are about right.

i think the match of today between denmark and belgium is very difficult , and the draw can be the final result
the last match against finlande was not good for danmark but today it can be the opposite , sometime should not follow the low chance for example of statistique ,in my opinion the chance of win for your bet is 30 to 40 percent only , chosing 3 matchs once is hard
why not try one match netherlands to win then chose to bet the winning from this match or cashout and chose another easy match

Well I thought it was going to end up a draw at one stage and I did consider betting
on a draw but went for the win. I'm obviously happy again today with my conservative
picks. Belgium are a quality side and fought for the win.

For tomorrow, again betting conservatively i'm going for Sweden and England and
possibly a draw between Croatia v Czech Republic, not sure on this one get though.

I have 3 bets on for this weeks round of the NRL, Rabbitohs, Eels and Storm.

Obviously The Rabbitohs have whitewashed The Broncos earlier today.

I would like to put on The Panthers but their recent run isnt great so its too risky for my liking.

Im not here to promote any service, Blockfi is the one I use currently and I'm not going to deny
there is no risk.

My strategy is that I have Bitcoin on loan to Blockfi, Its Bitcoin I bought with a FIAT loan
which is now paid for in full, I'm ok with that risk ATM.

Is there any risk free investment strategy by putting some another entity in charge of your funds ?

Obviously if that entity were to have insurance in place investors would have a degree of confidence.
4188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lending Against Your Bitcoin on: June 17, 2021, 06:41:39 AM
Of course, there is a risk for sure.

Think about it, you are relinquishing control of your Bitcoin for a small percentage reward
and if things go wrong no have no power to recover your property.

Personally I have mentioned before I am happy to take the risk in this current market, like
other risks which are frowned upon but which have paid off for me.

This thread along with others on the forum offer a reality check before anyone gets involved
with this strategy and helps people understand the risks

That's the Power of Ronaldo !!!

He is just an attention grabber. By insulting a sponsor, who spent billions of USD in various football tournaments in the last few years, Ronaldo has greatly harmed the reputation of UEFA and FIFA. From what I heard, the valuation of Coca Cola went down by billions of $$$ as a result of this incident. These sort of incidents will deter corporations from sponsoring such events in the future. They are not paying this huge amount of money to see their own brands getting insulted in the public. I hope that Coke will launch a lawsuit against UEFA, suing them for the damages.

So the question comes here that what benefit Ronaldo gained from this act ?
He don't need more fame by doing this , because he is already famous. He is not paid for doing this either. The mystery remain there  Roll Eyes

I find it amazing firstly that as an investor you would sell you Coca Cola shares because
a player at a press conference moved 2 advertising bottles aside and said the word Agua.

Secondly its the sponsors of sporting events who actually front up the funding to enable
them to exist, Ronaldo has shown his arrogance in this move. Everyone knows CC is
not a good drink and Water is #1, but I have seen sports people drinking CC during
tournaments for the energy boost.

Just like everyone knows the cheating and antics which Ronaldo is known for in his
playing career but it never stopped him.

Didnt Paul Pogba do something similar with Heineken at a press conference, seemingly
on muslim beliefs?
4190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 16, 2021, 09:52:53 PM
Italy is playing like a champion. I think they have a fairly good chance to play at least Final in this tournament.

I see Italy, France and Belgium as the strongest teams this time. Other teams didn't show much light for championship.
What about Portugal, Germany, Spain, Croatia and England? I think they are also pretty good and should not be taken lightly. England will probably try their best to reach the final and I'm sure they have good enough players to do so in this Euro 2020 competition. People keep saying that France is one of the contenders to reach the final, but they have only won 1 match. We'll see how they react in the next game.

FT Italy vs Switzerland 3 - 0

I'm happy enough with my 2 picks winning today, Russia and Italy. Just saw the highlights
of the Italy match, really good performance and looking hungry for the win. They are now
the first team into the knockout stage.

The other teams need to be afraid of Italy!
4191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lending Against Your Bitcoin on: June 16, 2021, 08:03:02 PM
Blockfi offers such a service, both for lending and borrowing as in they will
loan you Bitcoin at a 50% loan to value ratio. They also will borrow Bitcoin, Ethereum,
Litecoin, Tether and FIAT for example from you and give you interest on it. Nexo,
Celsius and Salt are alternatives.

Just use the search function of the forum, loads of threads.
4192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 16, 2021, 06:14:53 PM
^^ Not a great prediction by my good self, Federer will not be happy with that, very little game
time before Wimbledon, following on from my excellent prediction above I recon there is a chance
he will pull out of Wimbledon...too many will be able to beat him.

Anyway great result from Felix, he will be well happy with that.
4193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 16, 2021, 02:55:23 PM
ATP Tour
Federer cannot currently be in an optimal physical situation. Moreover, the player he's about to face is certainly more formidable than Ivashka. Although he's the favorite, the twenty times winner of Slam tests will have to be careful: he could lose a set and win only in the third.
The one against Félix Auger Aliassime will be an interesting generational confrontation. The Canadian is one of the most interesting young players in the circuit, he comes from a brilliant victory against the fearsome Hubert Hurkacz and will probably propose more than one challenge to his illustrious opponent. Will see.

Brilliant "Generational Confrontation" !

and thats what it is, a young rising star facing off against a legend of the sport who
has won everything. As yet in relation to Grand Slams we havent seen the younger
generation threatening the old establishment, Federer could potentially be the
first to fall victim to the young guns. Very interesting match up, I think Federer
will survive this match up!
4194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 16, 2021, 05:44:52 AM
Jeez! Kylan Mbappe just got his goal cancelled for an offside.

Benzema got his goal disallowed due to offside as well. It could have been worse for Germany

Germany had more ball possesion but that was mostly in areas that were not really dangerous to france.

I'd say Germany control the flow of the game especially in the midfield aread but France was solid in defending so almost nothing gets past through it. Obviously this is the case when you have Kante on your team, we have seen how good this guy is in Chelsea defending the midfield line . On top of that there is also Pogba and Rabiot in the midfield so yeah , its going to be a pretty solid line

Yeah. Despite Germany having more possession of the ball during the match, France acted impenetrably, similar to their play at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, when they won gold.

France while being able to contain Germany defensively they were able to break
through Germany a number of times to create some great scoring chances obviously
leading to two disallowed goals.

The trio up front for France Mbappe, Benzema, Giezmann were very effective at breaking
through the germans.

Looking forward to France v Portugal!

I'm backing 2 favourites today, Russia v Finland and Italy v Switzerland
4195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 15, 2021, 06:14:26 PM
...
Edit: Wow, I'm late. Portugal managed to score 2 goals in less than 5 minute. Hongary failed to maintain 0-0 until the end.
It's finally over. It looks like Portugal had an easy day if you only look at the 3-0 score line hehe. It's a shame that Hungary were unable to hold out until the end but offense is still the best defense. Congrats to the returning C. Ronaldo.

Exactly, all the action happened inside the last 10 minutes. Kudos to Hungary for keeping
Portugal scoreless and with 70% possesion.

Ronaldo scoring twice, always a threat and always good for a score.
4196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 15, 2021, 11:55:07 AM
The France-Germany match will be like the Euro 2020 Final match. I will definitely watch this match live. I don't have a favourite, the match could end in a draw. Both teams make a controlled match. If a team wins this match, they will most likely finish first in the group.

IMO, it should be a cakewalk for France. Look at their squad. It is one of the strongest sides in the tournament. I don't think that the German defenders will be able to tackle French forwards such as Kylian Mbappe or Olivier Giroud. BTW, anyone interested in the other match today (Portugal vs Hungary)? IMO, Portugal is a bit over dependent on Cristiano Ronaldo. If the Hungarian defenders can take care of Ronaldo, then I don't think that the other Portuguese forwards have the ability to launch attacks on their own.

France IMO would be favourites after England to take the title. They have a star studded side
and Germany struggled with some of their Qualifier group stage matches but to coin
a phrase "you can never write off the Germans" but France for me today.

Yea Germany beat Latvia 7-1, but only drew with Denmark and were beaten 2-1 by North Macedonia
in the Qualifiers, not convincing.

Portugal indeed are on a different level to Hungary, While I dont particularly like the
Portuguese team, Ronaldo remains a threat even while having a quiet game.

Portugal and France are my bets for todays game

4197  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin + El Salvador + Volcano's = 100% clean energy mining on: June 15, 2021, 11:39:47 AM
Nayib Bukele is the real deal.  The guy has done an amazing job cleaning up street gangs, and locking up extortionists.  But he's not short-sighted either, he knows he needs to do something about El Salvador's economy before something gets done about the US it's immigration problem.  There was a time when El Salvador's largest employers were drug cartels, and nearly 20% of their GDP was remittance.

Promoting his country's natural resources for something that's already being talked about in the news.  This is a great idea and his timing is impeccable.

I just hope they hurry so that colo facilities can open up for miner's of all sizes.  I am sure they will be looking for outside investment.  That may come from the big players and squeeze out the rest unless a data center group moves quickly.  Will be interesting!

T

and at a time when the "negative" mining news from China  might mean that miners
could look favourably to El Salvador if they can offer competitive rates and facilities.
They want to attract investment into the country with "very cheap" energy.

Definitely looks like Bukele has a future plan.

From the article in the OP

Quote
“I’ve just instructed the president of @LaGeoSV (our state-owned geothermal electric company), to put up a plan to offer facilities for bitcoin mining with very cheap, 100% clean, 100% renewable, 0 emissions energy from our volcanos,” Bukele posted on Twitter.

Federer is not very happy with Djokovic winning Roland Garros and he made some of his jealous comments like usual but he will soon have a chance to show if he is better in Wimbledon after two weeks break.
Federer won Wimbledon eight times, and Djokovic five times but he is big favorite for this year if we look at bookmakers odds.

2019 Winner Novak Djokovic
2018 Winner Novak Djokovic
2017 Winner Roger Federer
2016 Winner Andy Murray
2015 Winner Novak Djokovic
2014 Winner Novak Djokovic
This year is the unique opportunity for Djokovic to achieve a Grand Slam which nobody has been able to do since Rod Laver in 1969, he has won the Australian and the French Open and he's able to win Wimbledon and the US Open. Moreover he could also win the gold medal of the Olympic Games this year and then realizing a "Golden Slam" like Steffi Graf did in 1988 (the only time in history)

Thats the thing, a "Grand Grand Slam" !
Djokovic is good on all surfaces and he is half way there. Federer has been targeting
Wimbledon this year but realistically is he up to the challenge of a. reaching the
final and b. potentially beating Djokovic?

This thing of Djokovic coming back from 2 sets down has been playing on my mind.
One of the commentators on Eurosport mentioned that he may be doing it on purpose,
he was probably half joking but there is something to it. I recon he is practicing how
to win a match in such a circumstance, its a mind game.

I wont be betting on any Origin games but best of luck Timelord!

I wanted to put a bet on the Vodacom Bulls to beat Benetton in the
Pro14 Rainbow Cup Final but betting is closed for the Bulls.

4200  Economy / Speculation / Re: The calm before the storm? on: June 14, 2021, 09:20:40 AM
There’s been an avalanche of FUD.

  • Elon
  • China cracking down
  • Trump
  • FBI hacking ransomware address (but not really)

There seems a concerted effort to bring bitcoin down but here we are, still at $32,8xx. Most of the weak hands, retail buyers etc are hopefully gone now. It’ll take a couple of months but we will recover & reach new highs by the end of the year. We are still in a bull market.
The FUD was so effective that almost all the weak hands have sold already, unfortunately we are seeing that those entities are still trying to use the same tactic against us, which is not going to work, after all anyone that has been in this market for years and was able to endure the winter that came after the crash of 2018 has nothing to worry about as it is very difficult that things are going to get as bad as they did back then.

We also saw this in 2017 when the last Bull run in taking place, there was so much FUD
from different sources (cant remember offhand) but it only affected Bitcoin in the
short term, just like what has happened over the last number of weeks, we now seem
to have gone through a consolidation phase and hope to crash past the $40 mark.

Patience is the key as we build the demand again.
