I'm home for the summer??? I never said I took the pic at my university.. Lol
I love how you all try to play detective.

Dude, give it up man. No one believes you and now youre just embarrassing yourself.

I don't care if you think I'm female or male.. Lol

I don't care either , but it is a very good way to do referrals.  So if you are the young lady in the photo or if you took the photo of your girl friend I don't mind since I won't be using your referral link either way.

Still a nice  way to market   pbmining
41862  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 20ph increase in btc mining network on: August 10, 2014, 04:02:14 PM
During this same period, the hashrate distribution for Discus Fish went from 22% to 29% and in the last 24 hours has more hashrate now than ghash.io.

https://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=24hrs

Could be a variance... in the end, only difficulty will matter.

True and that's my concern.. At this rate we'll have a 20% to 25% jump in difficulty.

no  still under 12%

the network is getting very large.  so 25% jumps are not easy to do.

here look at

 https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty  they read 19,729 to 21,317 or 8.05%

http://bitcoincharts.com/ -----------------> they read 19,729 to 20,666 or 4.72 %

they average to ________________> 19,729 to 20,992 or  6.39 %

The network may be 180 to 195ph the exact number is not sure.

Some of the jumps to drops is variance some is gear.

We are early in the jump/diff for this period but I see us under 12% as the worst.
41863  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} WHAT THE!! ButterflyLads WONT deliver the Monarch Till...ONLY GOD KNOWs?:( on: August 10, 2014, 03:58:25 PM
At least BFL is being consistent. Consistently over-estimating their delivery dates, right? Did anyone not think this is a likely outcome?

I must admit I expected them to ship the 'doorstops' before August 2014 that is for sure.....I got (thru dumb luck on their 6 month refund
offer ...probably due to class action and sonny's probation hearing)....the monarch for my 65mm stuff and $$$ and got it all back..but
figured back then with the 65mm it was gonna be a doorstop then (nov/dec 2013) or a doorstop later (according to Josh dec 2014 ..I
figured feb/march 2014....I mean NO ONE could do such a thing TWICE (2013 and 2014) and EXPECT to stay in business w/o FTC
and other public servants...shutting down such a fraud?..I mean surely investigative journalism like bitcoin talk magazine would step
in and expose this scam? (er wait BFL add is still on 2nd page behind cover...er shudder)

er ..oops .. I was wrong...silly me you can play such a ponzi scheme if you (imho) 1) settle with the class action suit 2) settle with
regulatory agencies coming after you .....and eventually bankrupting the company to take the liabilities and $$$ fall

er I mean you announce tapeout last august 2013 and you can't ship the item yet till  agust 2014..come on ..the mind boggles....
...how are you keeping the doors open?

again ponzi scheme ..mine like hell with ..even made for your use 65mm product....don't deliver...pay off 1) and 2) above.....bankrupt BFL and walk

flawless...personal miners saved (check) personal assets safe (check) complicated piece of asic equip that would be cutting edge IF
it actually would work in a case and heat issues etc....(use to claim we tried to grasp to far on our cutting edge stuff) ie the mtgox
defense Mark K. look very very sorry and look very very stupid...still not against the law to drive a corp in the ground for being stupid (check)

bitcoin mined all this time as main BFL activity squirreled away (check) and then give them GH on this pool that MIGHT get the customers
1 BTC lifetime at 600gh ..actually say 1/2 btc...and keep all that non refundable btc and usd ....

it just plain has to be so you can't have a MANUFACTURING PLANT with MORE then 100 employees and
NOT make anything of note what the hell are they doing ..can't be selling that many jallys if they are dumping them
on walmart and tigerdirect.com (but that 65mm sure works keen on your EMC mining farm!) from DEC 2013 till now
AUG 2014.......

UNLESS...you are just using NON-REFUNDABLE $$$ (pure profit or heck if BFL has to give it back it is quite the startup $$$) to MINE
way back in the day when difficulty was LESS THEN 1PH or whatever it once was then pay back or get equip (er not so much) to
the customers who can't get a refund with the profits...

again I got a refund from just dumb luck and I know it...but it has been worth it as an eye opener on just what a corporation can
get away with these days and keep your $$ w/o any regulatory or other consequences.....good to know...again the mind boggles
they have done this 'promise' of asic stuff since as best I can tell JUNE? was it 2012 when they announced the ASIC's then would ship by
Dec 2012...the 65mm stuff!

frigging warped wonderland these asic mnfg live in ..but hey if it works don't fix it

Searing

Yeah I got my refund after 13.5 months.
I wonder why no one has not physically done anything to them.
You would think at least one customer would have done so by now.

Mind you I don't want people to hurt them.  I just want them to get their money back.

God help anyone still stuck and on the hook.

BTW I am stuck $0 from BFL

and I am stuck 630 to 900 usd from Black Arrow Still may see some pennies to my dollars here.

I am also down and full lost about .4 btc to BIPS  bunch of theives

So I rate BFL better then BIPS or Black Arrow.

anyone know if the batch 6 gear has begun shipping?  It may start early Right now it is 11pm in china on sunday.

I ask because my  edit button on my batch 6 order has dropped off.
41865  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 20ph increase in btc mining network on: August 10, 2014, 02:43:24 PM
As far as I know there are only 1k SP30 units in the August batch so it can't be them. I say it's variance + a mix of SP-Tech and bitmain hardware being deployed.

Where do you get such information? they might have like 10k units under testing...

Their capacity production and resources are limited. You can't just build 10k units out of thin air and you need more than 10M-20M$ upfront money.

This increase is from Bitfury's DC in Iceland.

yes and they pay 3 to 4 cents a kwatt underclock and undervolt their chips.  so even though the gear is not as power efficient as the sp30.

the low power price allows them to run at a profit.  for the sake of argument  they get 1 watt per 1 gh  at 3.5 cents a kwatt   they can make good money.

lets say 20 ph costs them 10 mill usd to build  lets say it pulls 20,000 kwatts btc stays stable at 585 usd and diff does 12%  they make a fuck load of money.

I get 10 mill in  returns 27 mill so that is about 17 mill profit in about 1 year

if you use 15% diff 10 mill in returns  22 mill that is about 12 mill profit in 270 days

even if you use  20% diff  10 mill in returns 16 mill that is about 6 mill profit in 200 days

41866  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: list / cheapest places to buy cloud mining on: August 10, 2014, 02:39:41 PM
I hope people realize when they buy cloud mining they are inherently giving profits to a mining company up front, and the mining company will use that money to buy more hash which will compete with the user's own purchases.  The only person benefiting from this is the mining company.

which is why if you are looking for a cloud deal ----- you own the gear----

 gawminers.com

is the best  especially true if you are paying more then 11 cents a kwatt.  no one beats what they offer.  for scrypt or  btc

order with a cc
hashing within a day
free use of a psu
and about 10 cents a kwatt to mine your gear..

first month of hosting is free.  and you can have the gear shipped back to you after the free hosting ends.

41867  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin difficulty may actually go down in ~7 days! on: August 10, 2014, 03:16:20 AM
so you get 2 shares of the 14 the others get 12 shares of the 14.

and all  miners think the smaller pool sucks.
No, from what I understand, if you withhold the block you get nothing. You can't turn it in for anything, so it's a complete loss to do it. But I see that if someone else finds a block in the pool you still get a percentage of that, so in a way you are being a less than productive load on the pool.

Hm.

Semantics but your wording is exactly what I am trying to say.  Since I am not big enough to solo mine I use 3 to 5 pools to guard against this danger
41868  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin difficulty may actually go down in ~7 days! on: August 10, 2014, 01:55:17 AM
Sure, but you're not really impacting the pool at all. The other 1200Th of miners are getting exactly the same amount they would if you were not there, you don't contribute 200th you're basically clogging the stats. But you don't change the payouts by one satoshi, the only thing you're doing is making profits for the local electric utility.

Weird way to live, but whatever.

you steal from the pool if you are not found out. since the pool tnimks you mined with 200 th.

so you get 2 shares of the 14 the others get 12 shares of the 14.

and all  miners think the smaller pool sucks.
41869  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 20ph increase in btc mining network on: August 10, 2014, 01:52:13 AM
Where did it come from? Sp30s?
Normal network variance swings.  Sure, there is always some new hardware being added, but think about what you're saying.  4000+ SP30s added in the past few days?

Was just guessing, wasn't sure if it was the premine some companies do before release or test mining or whatever. This is actually a pretty high amount of PH compared to the last couple weeks.

may be variance flux.  have to watch it. if it drops to  5ph it was variance.

   Ahh nice reference.

I gather you know his home state.

I won't mention Monmouth Battlefield and Molly Pitcher more then this one time.

But enough of PA and NJ revolutionary battle references .

I saw that video about ten times the instructions help but it is not well miked.    I  watch his videos a lot.  here is my thread for  over under clocks

Looking at pictures of Ebay auction at least one is a standard 4 blade dragon.  It looks like there are different models of A1's on auction.  (different vendors)

You could try to flash a second SD card with a firmware for a dragon with known IP and see if that works.  Again I say flash a second SD card since you should keep the original.

Do you know of a page with a walkthrough on that? Also is there a way to change to IP address of new miner to the IP of the old miner? That would be great!

here you go https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=485497.0  this is one of lee's threads on the dragon miner

the evga 1300 has 6 cables 4 singles and 2  doubles.  it runs 3 at  freq 237 and 475 g-hash pulls about 1100 watts 0 issues.

today I decided to try freq 250  I am getting 505 gh and pulling 380 watts each,   but I am doing 2 per unit for now.

I have some more s-3's on order my batch 4 were outstanding .

 my batch 1's were meh.

I am hoping my batch 6 are as good as my batch 4.

I have never seen this before on the tens of orders I have had with bitmaintech, can anyone give an explanation as to what this means on my tracking?

Shenzhen, China  08/07/2014  11:40 A.M.  Your package may be delayed. We are adjusting delivery plans as quickly as possible.
08/06/2014  11:45 A.M.  The package is awaiting clearing agency review. / The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
Shenzhen, China  08/06/2014  11:25 P.M.  Arrival Scan

 08/06/2014  8:10 P.M.  Pickup Scan
China  08/06/2014  6:38 A.M.  Order Processed: Ready for UPS

It looks like it never cleared customs, but I am not sure what is going on?  Is there something I need to be doing?  Bitmain has not responded to my support emails (I assume because its the weekend) but these were supposed to be here yesterday and I am not sure what is going on.

Any information or advice is appreciated.
this is common are you in the usa? I am in NJ I have had this happen on both orders. did you order 2 units?

I have a question about ANTMiner S3
Watt what is needed to run 4x S3?
if 1 S3 360Watt, so 4 S3 = 1440
whether the LEPA 1700 Watt power supply able to handle this ??
please give your review
thank you Smiley

no If I recall it has many  12v rails not a  12 v single rail

let me find a link

http://www.amazon.com/LEPA-1600-Watts-Crossfire-Certified-G1600-MA/dp/B007W5TV6K

is this it?  1700 watts if you run on 240 volts
41879  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitcoin difficulty may actually go down in ~7 days! on: August 09, 2014, 06:05:34 PM
since then btcguild suffered a confirmed withholding event.  supposed to be accidental .  it did happen and it clearly shows bitcoins  weakness is that a wealthy miner and or pool can attack a smaller pool and kill the luck.

OK, I read up on the withholding attack. Does the bolded statement mean a pool can launch the attack, or individuals supporting the larger pool join the targeted pool and withhold?

I am confused about the distinction between individual and pool behavior.

Okay  lets pick the guy with the bad luck soft ware.  It has been proven to exist. I track him down buy it from him.  I now put myself out as a hit man.

So to speak I live in Washington or Oregon  Or any place with cheap power.  I sub-contract my bad luck system   to pools like cex.io or btcguild or eligus  they trust me the super villain of BTC and  pay me to hit smaller pools with my bad luck gear.

So I run 100th or 200th at bitminter a smaller pool and  while they have 1200th of good gear they now have 1400th.

1200 good and 200 bad.  It only takes 45 sp30's to do this or 450 s-3's .  or 200 dragon miners..  do it for a week in a row and the cost is my power.  say  4000 kwatts a day

that is  200 usd a day thats all in power cost.  so a one month cost against bitminter is   6000 in power  and they will have  a 12/14 or

85 percent luck of normal not 100 percent.. forget the lost btc I know people say whattt.      but the incentive to attack smaller pools is huge.

think of someone with low power cheap gear and the correct software.  he does not need to be a pool.  he could be and individual hired by bigger pools. to attack smaller pools.

Now does he exsist?  I do not know.

Does cex.io attack small pools? I do not know

Does anyone do this join a pool with bad luck gear/software for the purpose of attacking that pool?  I do not know.

But it did happen to one pool BTCguild and  most likely to Eligus pool.  Accident well maybe on purpose well maybe.   I am on many pools.
