421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin become The General Currency in the Future? on: June 21, 2023, 03:10:46 PM
Even becoming a currency, a payment method is difficult, becoming a general currency of the world is even more impossible. Indeed, given bitcoin's volatility, I find it more suited as an investment asset than a currency. Not to mention, it is a decentralized asset, so governments would never accept a currency they cannot control as the world's general currency. I don't know if the future will change, but based on what's happening, I don't think bitcoin will be the currency.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Asset Or Currency? on: June 21, 2023, 03:05:56 PM

In your opinion, bitcoin is an asset or a currency?

To be fair, whatever the original purpose of bitcoin was created, today, 99% of market participants see bitcoin as an asset, something speculative to make a profit. But I bet you, many people will deny that fact because they don't want to offend others.
There are many people who accept bitcoin as a payment method for their business, and many are already using bitcoin to pay their bills. But the question is how many people are doing it, and how often do they do it? Or they experiment with it a few times and never repeat it.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: The SEC is right. It's not about Bitcoin, it's about centralized shitcoins. on: June 21, 2023, 02:51:03 PM

If we are supporting the SEC to destroy binance, and destroy all altcoins, that is no different than we are supporting the destruction of bitcoin.

Bullshit!
The reality is that 90% would support everyone from Hitler to the Rostchilds to the Reptilians to the same government and SEC if that would mean the price of the shitcoin they hold would double overnight even if it means killing Bitcoin!
Why should I care about some shitcoin lovers when all they do all day long is bashing Bitcoin and describe it as old low specs high tech that can't do a thing and is million years behind their stellar shitcoin?

Why should I take the side of Binance when they were charging more for Bitcoin withdrawals while making their shitcoin clone 20 times cheaper, not to mention it putting it on top in search results if you search for Bitcoin?
Why should take the side of CZ when he only has one purpose, to make his BNB replace Bitcoin everywhere?

I think you should watch this news, and this is what the SEC has done for us, helping the community get rid of scammer, and centralized shitcoin projects. You guys are bitcoin maximalists, it's understandable that you hate CZ, but if you're in favor of the SEC it's actually a bit confusing.
You guys are bitcoin maximalists, it's understandable that you hate CZ, but if you're in favor of the SEC it's actually a bit confusing. Supporting the SEC is no different from helping the government regulate the cryptocurrency market, and bitcoin is a part of that.

424  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: June 21, 2023, 02:31:35 PM
....
But Ukraine itself is now developing many types of weapons that can reach the most remote corners of the European part of Russia. So expect a lot of fiery greetings from Ukraine in the near future.

There are a few points to add here. In a very short time and under difficult conditions of military aggression by Russia, Ukraine has developed, created and is industrially producing:

- The Stugna-P - developed by KB "Luch", Kiev. It destroys SAU and helicopters. Easily destroys all "unparalleled" armored vehicles of the Russian Federation - tanks, APCs,...

- Neptun anti-ship system. The most famous use of "Neptun" is the destruction of the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the missile cruiser "Moscow".

- BM "Bulat" tank, with dynamic protection "Knife". A tank with excellent characteristics and the highest level of "survival"

- Armored Personnel Carrier BTR-4. Used along all front lines. During the defense of Mariupol, the city defenders destroyed both terrorist manpower as well as tanks and BMPs using the BTR-4.

- The PD-2 unmanned system was developed by Ukrspecsystems. "Eyes" of Ukrainian artillery ! The multi-purpose drone is designed for reconnaissance and can also carry a bomb load up to 3 kg. It can be delivered with a vertical takeoff and landing system.

- Alligator sniper rifle - 14.5x114 mm caliber rifle intended for attacking moving and immovable targets, fortified positions and bunkers, as well as armored vehicles (APC, BMP, BRDM).

- The Bureviy MLRS is a significantly superior system to the Uragan MLRS developed in the USSR.

- The missile system "Olkha". Smerch" class weapons, but with much better characteristics, including range - from 70 to 200 km

...as well as many more new and unique things, such as surface drones, which are wildly feared by the Black Sea fleet of the terrorist country, long-range UAVs, which are already effectively tested in combat, striking deep into the territory of the aggressor, with a distance of 600 km from the borders, and much more !

Sounds very rich and varied, Ukraine is doing very well, according to what you say. But the question is why they are still pressing the US and the West to supply them with more weapons, even as they are begging for massive arms aid to fight Russia. Even if they received modern American and European weapons, they could not improve the battlefield situation. Their most anticipated counterattack is also facing many difficulties and has not made any significant progress. I seriously doubt the capabilities of foreign weapons, let alone self-produced ones.

That's very interesting, I didn't know that. As someone who is interested in military technologies I would love to read up on more details about this if you can share them. For example what type of weapons are we talking about here?

I'm theorycrafting but because Ukraine doesn't have the air superiority to conduct air raids, so it has to be from afar but certain technologies like the technology to manufacture MRCM/LRCM, MRBM/LRBM is not something you'd just come up with that easily without prior infrastructure and decades of development, also nobody is selling such technologies this easily to anyone least of all to a country at war where it could leak it to the enemy or third parties.

Edit:
I did some research and the only missiles I could find that Ukraine manufactures are very short range ones such as Kite-2 a subsonic cruise missile with less than 300 km range, OTPК a short range ballistic missile with a range between 50 to 280 km, R-360 Neptun a subsonic anti-ship cruise missle with very short range of 280 km.
Please tell me if I missed anything but it seems like Ukraine's reach has always been kept very limited. To be honest I don't see how there can be a leap from subsonic 300 km range to supersonic 3000 km range. Developing the engine alone is a massive and impossible leap.
I don't research too much about the military equipment of other countries, but I am also very interested in the war between Ukraine and Russia but have never heard of this news. Ukraine is begging for more, and the weapons they have against Russia are American and Western, they have almost no weapons of their own making or their own. Even with the weapons provided, they haven't been able to use them ideally yet, so focusing on weapon development at this point is not a smart idea.
426  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: June 20, 2023, 03:31:30 PM
The phasing out of paper money is a complex process that involves multiple factors. While some countries have already made significant progress in transitioning to cashless societies, others are still heavily reliant on cash transactions. One of the main drivers of the shift towards digital payments is technological innovation. With the rise of mobile banking, contactless payments and cryptocurrencies, consumers are increasingly turning to digital alternatives to traditional cash transactions. This trend is particularly evident among younger generations who are more comfortable with technology and more likely to adopt new payment methods. Phasing out paper money is not without challenges. There are concerns around financial exclusion, as some people may not have access to the technology required to make digital payments. There are security concerns around digital payments as cybercrime and fraud become more prevalent. It is difficult to predict exactly when paper money will no longer be in circulation.

paper money will continue to be used by people for their various needs. even when many people use digital money, paper money will be the choice because it doesn't require internet, can be carried anywhere in the pocket, is free of personal information, and when needed, paper money is very valuable during an economic crisis.

and this is also the reason why many rich people in the world keep paper money in their safes, because the money they keep in the bank cannot be cashed out at any time, so when they need cash for urgent needs they can use their cash stored in their vaults. so paper money will continue to exist and be people's choice.

Paper money is very beneficial to us in some cases, but the problem is that the government will no longer want it. They have realized that using CBDC will give them better control over us, and that is why they are working hard and rushing to create CBDC. Getting rid of paper money will be very challenging, and they won't be able to get rid of them overnight. But I believe they will find a way to get rid of paper money and implement CBDC on a global scale.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Could there be a new financial system not dependent on USD? on: June 20, 2023, 03:25:45 PM
...snip...

The dollar is the global reserve currency and most importantly a government currency. I think the BRICS is no different from the dollar and is under the influence of governments. I think we should talk about ways to make a mass revolution in cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin.

BRICS is like Nato, and if they can create a financial system that doesn't depend on USD, their currency will be like USD. But what we need to be more concerned about is that they are creating a more just world, the world's power will be balanced without having to depend on anyone or the domination of a dictator.

It will be very difficult for BRICS to overthrow the USD empire, and it will take a long time. It is difficult to say whether it will succeed or fail, but if we want the world to be just, free from rulers, we have every right to hope that the BRICS will succeed.
428  Economy / Economics / Re: The new U.S.-China agreement is a "forced friendship. What awaits the world ? on: June 20, 2023, 03:15:56 PM
...snip...
If America imposes its will and interferes with Taiwan's problems continuously, it is very likely that America will not gain from this dispute.
Choosing to clarify relations in China is the safest move for America right now.

This is true, the US is shrinking and has to make concessions to China on the Taiwan issue because the more it causes tension, the more the US will suffer, not China. This is a very wise move and helps them to be safer for the time being. Although they are a great power and have many allies in the world, that does not mean that they will have enough power and strength to cover the whole sky of this world. But this move is also very risky for them because, with this move showing they are weakening and starting to fear, I hope Russia and China will not pass up this opportunity.
429  Economy / Economics / Re: The SEC is right. It's not about Bitcoin, it's about centralized shitcoins. on: June 20, 2023, 03:06:09 PM
Sorry brother, I don't exists in crypto space only for Bitcoin, if the SEC is trying to crucify projects like Cardano I have every right to hate what they are doing, because I am a investor too.

It makes sense and also believable if we say that SEC isn't going for Bitcoin but at the same time they claimed they are helping the people from losing money, but you will be surprised that this whole move is for their own benefits.

If I am wrong why did they come into agreement with Binance exchange? What benefits for the people that are into crypto after this agreement? Stop deceiving yourself.

It's not every other coins apart from Bitcoin are only centralized shitcoins, or you are ready to call DAI a centralized shitcoin? How about Monero?

The SEC is part of the government, it's strange that these people are always opposing and slandering the government on a daily basis, but they are on the side of the SEC in this case. Let's all not forget that the government has never been friendly or in love with bitcoin. Just because the SEC didn't mention bitcoin this time doesn't mean they favor it.

I am like you, I am here for the crypto market, not just bitcoin, bitcoin is just a part, not all. If we are supporting the SEC to destroy binance, and destroy all altcoins, that is no different than we are supporting the destruction of bitcoin.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: Is poverty a lack of money? on: June 19, 2023, 03:27:29 PM

In summary when you have everything you need to survive and you don't need money, are you poor?

Honestly, I haven't seen anyone who can survive without money. Even people who are living in the countryside where they will easily get food for life but that does not mean they do not have money. Plant varieties, fertilizers, animal feed, poultry... all the things that farmers need, they need money to get, if there is no money, how can they be obtained? No money these days means you won't be able to survive.
431  Other / Off-topic / Re: let me rephrase. I do not hate woman generally. on: June 19, 2023, 03:17:36 PM
...
because since the dinosaur age, men has been designed to kill each other to survive,  it is just as barbaric as it sound.

finally, make peace!

This is something that a lot of people are trying to hide, and they always think they are good people. Indeed, this life is a war, if we want to survive, we must destroy someone and get our reward. Just like in this cryptocurrency market, if we want to make a profit and make a lot of money, then someone else needs to make sacrifices for us to get there.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance crisis - how will it affect the crypto market? on: June 19, 2023, 03:09:03 PM
As a result, if Binance's accusations are proven, we could return to a long bearish market.

Even the market will be worse than what FTX did if Binance crashes. But I don't think anything too serious will happen to us with what's going on. What the SEC is doing is not even supported by many politicians, and they are just baselessly accusing Binance and exchanges because they did not have any regulation before. So the SEC cannot say that exchanges are breaking the law.  SEC was looking for just money, and everything was settled when they got it, IMO.
433  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't believe you on: June 19, 2023, 03:02:32 PM
Indeed, exchanges do not force us to trust and deposit money in them, it is all about supply and demand. If the OP is just a holder, then he doesn't need to use centralized exchanges, no one forces him to do it, and he doesn't need to constantly talk bad about them either.

Everything is at risk, whether centralized or decentralized, so we need to worry and always have a backup plan. Even if our assets are kept in cold wallets, nothing is 100% guaranteed, so always be on the lookout for anything.
Everything has a risk, but the risk in cold wallet is come from the holder, there's no intervention from outside who's control your coins. Can you trust your money with someone you don't know who's him? if I promise your coins will be safe if you send it to me, would you trust me with all of your hard earned money?

Centralized exchange do force every users to trust them, they promise they have a very good security, their exchange is safe, their exchange is better than other etc.

They want us to trust them, but they can't force it, and we have the right not to trust them. Honestly, I don't really hate centralized exchanges, and I don't want to blame them either because what they are doing is doing business and making profits.

I think we can still use them, but as long as we don't give all our assets to them and use them for the right purposes, we should be safe. It is entirely our fault that we use them to store our assets, instead of blaming them, we should blame ourselves for trusting and giving our money to strangers.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 19, 2023, 02:53:58 PM
but I still think this whole year is also going to be like 2022 because of the recession in the world that is not going to go away any time soon.

I am also pitching my thoughts here too. With the increasing inflation and the hiking of interest rates which only signifies one thing which is the recession I think the demand for bitcoin would certainly reduce. Also the negativity clouding the exchange’s failing to get align with the SEC is actually a thing to worry as I see it will only increase the FUD to mainly new investors and some would pull out.

Although I don’t see it hitting as low as 16k that happened last year due to the fact that we are only months to the halving season, many would still like to hang on to there funds till then. So if we don’t get any bad news more probably a big exchange been compromised or a huge decision that goes against bitcoin by the government I think we might end the year above 25k

I don't really worry that news like the SEC or news about Mt.gox will affect the market much. I am more concerned about the economic situation because that will have a significant impact on the market. Inflation is falling and will continue to fall in the coming months, but keeping interest rates high by the Fed will actually push the economy into recession. About bitcoin price prediction, I still believe history will repeat itself, I mean, before having, there will still be another drop.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 18, 2023, 02:53:09 PM
Hello everyone, I have a new question,
In your opinion, is it worth attending blockchain events?

If it is really a seminar to exchange and discuss blockchain knowledge and you have a lot of time, it should not be missed. Knowledge is endless and having a lot of knowledge is never superfluous or useless. But if it's just an event in disguise, I mean, they use it to showcase shitcoin projects, then you shouldn't be wasting your time. You need to know the exact content of events before spending time on them.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden administration will kill Bitcoin! Says Ron DeSantis. on: June 18, 2023, 02:47:44 PM
Considering what SEC is doing it might be true

True that they intend to kill Bitcoin?  Maybe, but the question is are they capable?  I don't think so.  They can be successful in thwarting Bitcoin adoption or kicking out Bitcoin in the USA but they will never kill Bitcoin because of its decentralized nature.  Even with all its alliances assisting them in killing Bitcoin operation, it will be futile.  Huge amount of money had already been invested on the Bitcoin industry, I am sure those who have the capability will join the group to keep the operation of the Bitcoin network continue

One America can't destroy bitcoin, but if it's an entire coalition supporting them, that's a different story. Bitcoin is decentralized, but that does not mean it will be immortal if it is met with the fierce pursuit of many governments joining forces. Don't underestimate their power because bitcoin exists because of us, what if the government attacks investors like us? I don't think being too arrogant and anti-government is a good idea.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin(decentralization) the end for utopia? on: June 18, 2023, 02:40:53 PM

You can't expect or hope everything should be decentralized for human good, just like this forum it's less decentralized since there's moderators able to delete your post and the administrator know everything behind of each user password, email etc.
When we talk about decentralization, we mean freedom, and sometimes freedom is a good and desirable thing. But if freedom is to the point of losing control, like no leader, no operator...everyone is equal, society will be more chaotic, and then freedom is no longer good. If this forum had no moderators and admins, I don't think it would be maintained today. Decentralization is good in some respects, but this world would be ruined if everything were decentralized.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Way to Introduce Bitcoin to Relatives, Spouse or Family on: June 18, 2023, 02:27:36 PM
Honestly, I don't have the patience to read everything you wrote. I'm not saying they're useless, but it's too lengthy, and it's hard to convey these when we want to recommend bitcoin to people. I also agree with many people, not too many people will listen to what you are trying to say. When introducing bitcoin to a newbie, we should keep it short and concise. But for them to fully understand bitcoin, instead of explaining it to them, I will direct them to youtube videos, which I think will be easier for them to know than we teach them.
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: June 17, 2023, 11:37:56 PM

Having knowledge expands our understanding, enables personal growth, and contributes to society's advancement. Innovating, resolving problems, and creating are all possible when knowledge is shared, passed down from generation to generation, and utilized to solve problems. Even without immediate financial gain, knowledge can enrich our lives and the lives of others.

That greatly said, I agree that knowledge creates lots of possibilities and ways for us to improve ourselves, mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially.  And it boils down to not agreeing that without money, knowledge is a waste. Only a clueless person will think that way.

Knowledge can make money, but it's a waste if you can't use that knowledge to make money. Suppose, you have full knowledge of bitcoin, but you cannot use it to make money or make a profit. How will that knowledge help you mentally, improve yourself? Obviously a waste of time and useless. Bitcoin is an investment, you enter the market to make money, and if you have knowledge about it, you cannot make a difference it is useless.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you tired of waiting for the jump? Pls Hodl on: June 17, 2023, 11:23:13 PM
... Besides, I am one of the few BTC investors that always happy when it's bearish because it always presents a chance that may not happen again in the future.

You are not alone, I am one of them, I was not even happy when bitcoin went from 17k to 30k in the first few months of the year. That made me miss the opportunity to buy bitcoin under $20k, and to be honest, I prefer bearish bitcoin to bullish. Because I know that, once another bull market comes, buying cheap bitcoins will never return, I never wanted the bull market to go too soon.
