Nowadays looking at BTC price and other altcoins cost it's hard to say that for example Ethereum which is #2 in the cryptocurrency world will cost $15 000 next year. But in 2-3 years this can happen. But how much will BTC cost at the same time?

You are currently accepting Bitcoin only but you want to give more options to your customers. Currently bitcoin takes high fees and long confirmation time for small value orders. Why not to use Litecoin in such a case? Litecoin confirmations is much faster and its fee is much lower.

Basically after some glorious trading, and mistakenly getting into pump with all of my BTC, this is what I got now. xD Guys... What do you think I should do with my 0.01 BTC? Donate to charity? buy me beer and drink myself into oblivion? Buying beer with 0.01 BTC and drink it yourself in oblivion is just wasting time. Take care of your kidneys too! Seriously don't give up. Now you've got some invaluable experience after your "glorious" trading. Just use it and make some profit. Don't give up and success will come to you!

i see the future. ether will be 1k$ in 2018. I think you're right and Ethereum will cost $1000 and I hope more than $1000 but I don't think it will happen before the middle of the next year. So if you can wait a half year you should buy Eth with all your money otherwise make some research and choose 2-3 altcoins which could bring you more profit during 6 months.

... I think Litecoin price can touch $1000 easily this year. Dash can run to $2500-$3000 also. Just wait for June and you'll see some crypto magic I think you're made a mistake writing that Litecoin can touch $1000 this year. Maybe you ment next year? Why do you think Litecoin and DASH will show us some crypto magic? What is gonna be next June with these crypto coins?

In my humble opinion investing in ICO is more risky than an investing in BTC. Before buying some new cryptocurrency tokens at its ICO you should make some research. Except that nobody can predict how succesful the ICO you choose will be.

When I invested my first $1000 in cryptocoins in the beginning of the last month, i.e. on the 4th November Dash price was around $280 and LTC costs 'bout $55. I decided that 18,18 coins is more than 3.37 coins. So my decision was to buy LTC. OK, it's just a joke. In fact I really bought 18,18 LTC. Maybe DASH is really more promising cryptocurrency than Litecoin but I like the latter more than DASH.

The nearest Bitcoin forks will be in this month December There are coming 4 new hardforks such as Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Platinum, Lightning Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash Plus

Who knows what is gonna be with the cryptoworld in 2-3 years. Nobody will give you right advice about which cryptocoin whose price is under $1 now will be alive in such long-term. But if you invest in some crypto from TOP-20 such coins as Cardano, NEM (XEM), Stellar Lumens you will get profit in a half year.
|
|
|
In my opinion it would be better to invest 30-40% of your money in Bitcoin, 30-40% in such cryptocurrencies as Ethereum, Litecoin and Monero. All money that will left after buying BTC, ETH, LTC, XMR you should buy some perspective altcoin with low price.

NEM and Waves are PoS Coins too and give a good return Which return do you mean? NEM's all 9 billion coins released at launch. So NEM isn't a PO S but a PO I Coin, i.e. POI is the consensus algorithm used in NEM to determine who will calculate the next block.

Investing in altcoins which has low volume has right to be but it's a little bit more nervous process than investing in TOP-20 alts. The only reason in such investing is to catch up that altcoins pumping. If you'll manage to do it you'll be "in a chocolate" like Russians used to say.

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.
My question is, what do I do now?
As far as I can see, I have 4 options;
1) Hold the Bitcoin
2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin
3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.
4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)
Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.
A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary:
Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit.
First of all my congratulations! You're a real crypto-expert! My IMO is 1. Hold 50-70% in BTC 2. Invest 20-30% in altcoins 3. If you have really unic idea, so go on and start your own cryptocoin but no guarantee it will make you rich. 4. Not now I think maybe 0.1 BTC to buy some presents for your parents/brothers/sisters... Anyway good luck to all your beginnings!

If you are not craving instant and huge profit and just want get a modest income so I think you should invest in top-10 altcoins with high market capitalisation which are traded at the most cryptocunncy burges. My suggestion is Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero.

In my humble opinion altcoins have a big future. More and more people is beginning to invest in cryptocurrencies nowadays. Most of them knows only about Your Majesty Bitcoin. But after a while some of them open new cryptocurrencies for themselfs which we used to call altcoins. So cryptocoins capitalisation is growing day by day.

I think the most profitable cryptocurrencies you should invest is Ethereum, Dash, Litecoin, Monero, ZCash, Ethereum Classic, EOS, NEM, maybe NEO, ZenCash, OmiseGo, EOS, Stellar Lumens, Qtum and Lisk.
|
|
|
I use Exodus wallet which you can hold such cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Dash, EOS, Aragon, Augur, BAT, Civic, Decred, District0x, Funfair, Gnosis, Golem, OmiseGo, SALT in. This wallet has exchange ability and you can make exchanges between all that coins.

Everybody here wants Ethereum rise up to $1000, me too. But first of all if we want our dreams come true we've got to buy more Eth and HODL it as long as possible. Then it would be fine if it will appear some touristic places where man could spent his ETH coins as easy as paying it with fiat.

Namecoin?
I've visited their website. They say that "Bitcoin frees money – Namecoin frees DNS, identities, and other technologies. Namecoin is a key/value pair registration and transfer system based on the Bitcoin technology."
What do you think makes this Namecoin unic? Do you yourself has this coin in your portfolio?
