"the time to buy is when there's blood in the streets." goes the famous investment maxim by Baron Rothschild. In the two centuries intervening he has been proved to be largely correct. Right now is a great time to buy and the way you overcome the issue in the short term is stop investing for the short term and start taking a more long term approach.

As you have probably learned WHEN you own Bitcoin is really important, this is the fourth time that Bitcoin has dropped by more than 80% from its all time high. If you owned it from January 2017 to January 2018 you would have made 13 times your money and still be up almost 4 times your money if you still held it. Now you have 3 choices, you can sell your Bitcoin and crystalize the loss. Hold it in the hope it goes up. Or buy more to get your average cost down.

Sounds a lot like Security Tokens that grant ownership rights or equity in the project just like owning shares in a company. This model is looking like it will be the replacement for ICO's in 2019 with many people currently building security token platforms. The problem is that some of the legal aspects around ownership through tokens have not been fully fleshed out, but this is definitely the direction of travel.

Cryptocurrency markets tend to move from unrealistic euphoria to unreasonable pessimism. We are still dealing with the slide down from the sugar high in 2017. Bitcoin historically has a peak to trough range of 80% to 90% so we are getting near the bottom. What will be the catalyst to the change in sentiment? No one knows because it will only be visible in hindsight.

No, I don't think we will see the bear market end until March next year. Too much money invested in Crypto Hedge Funds in late 2017 and early 2018 that had a 1 year lock on withdrawals. That will pressure funds to liquidate their positions to allow investors to cash out. Even when the bear market ends it won't be a return to 2017. I expect it will more driven by the fundamentals of individual crypto's rather than the entire market.

Sorry mate but watching the BCH mob playing silly buggers by threatening to mine empty blocks has destroyed confidence in any coin that uses PoW. Not only has it damaged Both Forks of Forks but it has also damaged the real Bitcoin. Don't know how you can claim it is undervalued when does not even have any real utility.

It is not Altcoins that are driving down the price of Bitcoin. It is the opposite. On three previous occasions to the current bull market BTC has fallen by more than 80% from their highs. BTC is just behaving as it normally does and trading on sentiment since its only use is as a store of value based on scarcity. That lack of any real utility is what makes it prone to wild swings.

Can you imagine the kind of AI computing power you would need to analyze thousands of videos looking for people creating multiple identities. Seems like a complete waste of time when you can scan documents instead which are much less data intensive. The key to future KYC system will be its ability to provide information that exchanges and ICO's need like your uniqueness, country of residence and nationality without disclosing personal information that they do not need to know.

It is like comparing apples and oranges. Bitcoin is useful as a store of value based on scarcity. Sort of like digital gold. But it is pretty useless at everything else it has tried to be including acting as a method of payment. Ethereum is very good as a platform for building smart contract apps and has created a large pool of talent working away making the blockchain more useful.
