I try to mine every new altcoin for the first 2-3 days after launch just to see something like this: altcoin porn I wish I had this kind of screenshot of bitcoin in 2009... You have killed this coin, others can mine nothing

Guys, My c++ programming experience ended up approx 15 years ago, so don't laugh Here is a most dirty modification of quark cpuminer which works (finds blocks) with wallet and my pool (still not available for users) but there is something wrong with difficulty target which doesn't work in a nice way with the pool (quarkcoin has different difficulty algo but I dont know how to fix this). Could you please take a look and fix if possible? I will then open my pool for users. https://mega.co.nz/#!QR4GlaJA!fCO4FHbOoa27GCSy_KANMi_R_vgGCJZOlQArG7_hKTw fake of BlakeCoin?

Anyone getting consecutive orphans?
I haven't got a single orphan until about 12 hours ago. Now all newly mined blocks are orphans. I realize that the diff is high but this seems odd. The diff was much higher, near 10k, a while ago and I had no orphans. Strange.
yeah I got about 6 in past 12 hrs and was not getting them before, gone back to reaper to see it that helps as it does not seem to stress the wallet as much but it is strange Interresting to see that the diff is back at 10K right now! Must be lots of users hashing on Blakes. I too have been getting orphaned blocks, but this seems to be caused by the wallet getting stuck on an old chain. This is true even with 10+ connections to the network, and I am only mining with 1x7970 and no CPU, so no "power shortage" for the wallet. I was using the patched cgminer by melnikalex. My solution has been to check in to my box and restart the wallet every now and then. I hope this will reduce the amount of orphaned blocks. A restart and resync every 12h seems to be necessary as the wallet will get stuck at least once a day. The blockexplorer and the pool is too slow to come maybe this is biggest problem for this coin

Where can we see TAG coin network hashrate? Preferable, graph of hashrate.
I got a message from the dev, its turned off because some kind of reason. Its PoS related. So we can only calculate it ourself (but it will be inaccurate). if there is some formula. example tiggering difficulty X something... Tell me how to calculate and I will publish it online why i cannot login now

Blakecoin is not SHA-256 or Scrypt and works on CPU/GPU/FPGA and is using a different algorithm Blake-256 yet it gets so few votes because few people has mined some BLC

Does anybody have a list of alt coins that can only be mined with cpu's. I'll be generous and donate some asic to anyone that provide the list. I can search the forum but just don't have the time right now.
Thanks
xpm(primecoin) qrk(quarkcoin) src(securecoin) off(Cthulhu) blc(blakecoin) meg(memorycoin) htc(huitongcoin) pgc(pangucoin) All the CPU coins are here. XPM is the special one. qrk, src, off the same miner with combination of six algorithms blc, SHA256 based coin, no cgminer now meg scrypt with high memory,no cgminer htc,pgc two chinese coins, maybe the same as meg

Unobtanium http://unobtanium.infoSHA256, Proof of Work only. Block targets = 3 minutes; progressive difficulty adjustment. Block reward of .001 coin for the first 2000 blocks to come up to target, no premine. Block reward of 1 coin per block, halving every 102,000 blocks and finishing with a minimum subsidy of .00001 after 612,000 blocks. Maximum of 250,000 coins ever. Now you may all have your time to get ready. Release will be tomorrow at 15:00GMT. We prefer to consider it more extreme than Extremecoin, more rare than Cryptogenic Bullion, and more science-y than Orbitcoin. And unlike most of the other recent coins, this one has NO Proof of Stake. Hey, Blazr2, what about OFF(Cthulhu) now, have you forgot your another child

Now it's finally hashing, that's without -q. It took 10 minutes before it started. It's hashing 1300 to 1900 kh/s per core on Intel T4500, but with long pauses before hashing again. The "--no-longpoll --no-stratum" comes up with an error of unknown command --. So, I omitted those commands.
it is compiled for core2 that may be why it is slow on that cpu might be worth compiling from source for maximum hashrate still 1300 to 1900 kh/s per core is not bad "--no-longpoll --no-stratum" error not sure why it is doing that at least you are mining now I will try to get the new 0.8.6 wallet out today so please check this thread soon Does ig0tik3d's CPUminer works, it seems a little faster than the original one

only just noticed the difficulty drop, 19602 now managed to mine a few blocks myself now guess someone turned off the the mass CPU mining on EC2 lol maybe he has turned to mine XPM.
