Where did you download it from ...

good question
422  Economy / Economics / Re: What would make it's price go bellow $1.00? on: November 29, 2013, 02:27:07 AM
Someone breaking it's cryptography? NSA maybe? MtGox stealing all it's bitcoins?

All of those would definitely cause a dip in the prices, but I doubt it to the extent that it falls to below $1 . Bitcoin's value originates from basically supply and demand, despite the fact that some proponents claim it has "intrinsic value". It's value comes from the fact people are willing to buy it at a certain price, so I feel it'll only fall to that value when 99% of the community ditches it. As to the reason why people ditch it that's anyone's guess.

LOL Bitcoin is like 90% speculation and it wouldnt take anywhere near 99% of the current adopters to ditch it for it to become trendy to dump.
423  Economy / Economics / Re: What would make it's price go bellow $1.00? on: November 29, 2013, 02:22:20 AM
Hmmm... it would currently take a market sell order of 2.3 million Bitcoin to drive the price below $1,000 on Gox. Since selling "at market" millions of dollars of anything is moronic, I doubt even the "million bitcoin" individual/group converting into fiat would cause that amount of chaos...

Then you are delusional. If someone dumped 15% of the entire mint, Bitcoin would be pennies.

How about someone with over 200k BTC dumping their entire holdings.

There is a wallet with over 1 million btc in it right now. If that moved you would see mass chaos.
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Namecoin (NMC) - Platinum in the World of Crypto Currencies on: November 28, 2013, 11:01:56 PM
Franko is the platinum standard. Namecoin however is a neat idea.

The developer of Franko, answered this question best

Quote
I developed Franko because, at the time, I wasn’t satisfied enough with the alternatives being offered and felt like the world needed something more fair, more rare, and a lot faster. Waiting an hour to make a purchase wasn’t going to cut it.

I think every developer has their own motivation. Some are more noble then others.

I'm sure that any wallet generator would work.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and alt-coin rant on: November 28, 2013, 01:58:59 PM

Thanks, so the gist here is given the choice of either a healthy stable economy or profit greatly, just about everyone chooses profit greatly.. and thats what we are seeing right now with the altcoins.

That is exactly what we are seeing, and why the coins with huge inflation have such high market caps. Greed has taken over.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins to invest in. on: November 28, 2013, 01:57:53 PM

Thanks, tried the site above. Was not able to scroll down using different browsers - not recommended.

That is interesting. I just tried it on 2 pc's, an android, my boyfriends ipad and my surface. Works fine for me on all those devices.

Just spread a little of my new found wealth. Enjoy!
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most undervalued crypto [FRANKO] on: November 27, 2013, 01:16:02 PM
I first disliked this coin in my head for the reason that the name franko remembered me to a folk from bavaria called "Franken". It is interesting to see what for types of words have for different types of guys, from different locations on that planet earth, in different times, different meanings....

But after I take a look into it, it really look like a coin which should have a good chance to implode, pricely.

And I think the military encryption really interesting. Anyone have further details on it what that means in a practical way?

Oh and I don´t want to be the buuhman, if a small coin lies there senseless in a wallet.. I would really say thank you:

Yea that is silly! The origin of the name Franko stands for "The Free". The dev has quoted this a couple times in cryptsy chat.

Given what an active community franko has it's amazing that it's one of the cheapest on coinmarketcap.com

CraftCoin is currently up 1000% so i'm looking forward to seeing what franko does in the next couple of days Smiley
Which required only 200, 000$.
Franko should get it's turn as all alts have. Do you agree with me?

I completely agree with you.

Preemptive. Smart thinking. Welcome to the collective!

Let me tell you... I got a lot of laughs from my own post!!!  Cheesy

To be honest, I too see the upside potential of Franko, but I believe the scarcity issue should be preparing everybody for a much slower, but, nevertheless, steadier climb than other under-priced altcoins.

Some would say a blessing in disguise, others would opt for the Dopamine release offered by a price spike of their favorite junk coin (NO pun). Y' all know what happens after a Dopamine release, right?

Cheers

The come down.
