I get this "sleep 240 sec" again and again and nothing changes...
how can I fix it?
Another window should be running with the miner in it. If it's not, there's something wrong. Open a cmd window, and change to your nemos folder. Run the command above (Bin\NVIDIA-ccminerpolytimos\ccminer.exe -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.ahashpool.com:4933 -u 1QGADhdMRpp9Pk5u5zG1TrHKRrdK5R81TE -p ID=NemosMiner-v2.4.1,c=BTC -d 0) Watch for errors... When I run that command all works fine. The miner starts. No errors. But when i start it from the nemos files I get that 240 seconds sleep problem.... This thing is driving me crazy. Can someone help me? |

Yep, I took a closer look. The plugin is using average nethash to calculate profit and send BTC per MH value to Awesome miner.
This is correct. Then the profit calc wont match WTM calculation and if you are using Awesom miner with mixed calculated coins (WTM and plugin) it wont be effective. To make it correct you need to calc the profitability based on the average diff for the last 24h. I'll look at changing it. In the middle of cleaning up my Masternode Plugin for release at the moment. Hi buddy thanks for this amazing plugin. I have a question when you set the profitability of hte coin, where do I find the MH/day BTC profit of that coin? |

What would you prefer to buy:
1) 12 GTX 1060 3Gb (no worries I don't have to mine ETH) for 260 each one (3120 Total)
OR
2) 6 GTX 1070 Ti for 700 each one? (4200 total)
Please do NOT consider the resale prices. I keep the cards until they dies. So NO resale price to be kept in account when considering it.
I checked the profit of 12 Gtx 1060 3Gb and most of the times is slightly superiod (about 10/15%) compared to 6 Gtx 1070 Ti. BUT the power used by the 12 1060 would be slightly more than the 6 Gx 1070 ti

yes it's not bad, but what does the coin go to the bottom every day? Look, based on my experience when troubles starts with these shitty/alt coins, there is only one reason. The coin is going to hell. Usually once this is happening you will find TONS of posts on the official thread trying to pump the coin again and advicing to not sell and bla bla bla. Guess WHO are those posters? Quite easy to understand. Once this is happening the best is to get rid QUICKLY of your coins to try to not loose too much. That's it. I have been right on this 99% of the times. |

Who have a masternode running - how much coins it gives per week?
The problem is not the coin per week. The problems are 1) the value of the BWK is falling day by day. 2) exchanging those coins with any other coin, at the moment, is almost impossible. Good lick with your masternode. |

I frequently use the JSON from WTM for pulling statistics. However, I have found quite a few new coins that do not show up in WTM. I'd like to still pull in the difficulty data for these coins, is there a way to actively do this? I understand how to create a coin, but that just statically sets the difficultly.
There was reference to be able to do this in 4.4 changelog. Havent investigated further yet: - Awesome Miner API method to set coin properties, for setting profitability of custom coins from external applicationsYes it works well. I'm not familiar with that pool or coin, but I can tell you in general how it works, and what is probably happening here. When you mine a block, and you find a solution, you broadcast that solution to the network to confirm - so when this happens the pool considers this 'Total earned (unconfirmed)', meaning "We probably just made this money, but the network has to agree". The other nodes on the network take your pools submitted solution, and if they agree that it's good, then they add it to their blockchain, and start solving a new block built on top of the one you just submitted - this is the "confirmations" you hear about with BTC and others. Typically it takes a couple of big nodes to confirm something, and you can kind of rest assured that it's the solution that everyone agrees with. Next pools typically wait at least one additional block, sometimes more, before they consider the coins as actually being in their posession (their 'Total earned').
The trick is sometimes two pools solve the same block at roughly the same time, and what this means is it's kind of up to the network to decide who the winner is - so that means your pool may THINK it has solved a block, but the reality is the network chose someone elses block for whatever reason - and that's why you would see earning go down. If you look at the legend on your screenshot, the one you draw an arrow to is "Pending", so that would be my guess as to what happens. With something like BTC (with a block time of ~10mins), it's a pretty infrequent event - but with some of the faster alts with 10's of seconds or even seconds for each block, the likelihood of there being concurrent solutions is probably pretty good.
