422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 02, 2023, 09:34:16 PM
What is the reason that sport bettors still continue to place sport bets?
Because there’s a big chance of winning in sports bet and also many gamblers are into sports as well like they are a big fan of those specific sports. I personally prefer to bet on a big sporting events since you can easily get the data about the teams and the players where you can use it to analyze and know where to bet. Sports betting are more profitable compare to the gambling games that depends on a pure luck, this is why many love this option.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is horse racing so unpopular here and a bit of extra feedback on: September 02, 2023, 09:18:18 PM
Where I live betting on horse racing is probably the most widely accepted form of gambling. There are places everywhere like bars that have betting on horse racing available right there. There’s no need for a casino or to have to jump online and find a way to gamble. I imagine that is part of the reason that betting on horse racing isn’t as popular online.
There’s a lot of bettors in my place for the horse racing and I agree this is very traditional though some sites already introduced this option and yet many still don’t want to adopt as they feel more the excitement of this race if they will bet locally. If you are going to introduce this online, make sure to have your marketing team ready so you can attract more gamblers as much as possible.
424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 02, 2023, 09:09:27 PM
A 24-4 run by the Philippines, with Jordan Clarkson delivering a remarkable performance featuring four consecutive three-pointers! The Philippines is now leading by 20 points, and it certainly looks like they are on track to win this game. Clarkson's exceptional performance has played a significant role in this lead, and it's an exciting turn of events for the team and its fans.

edit, it's 5 consecutive now.

Crazy game! This is what the Philippines have wanted, but it only happened in their last game when it wasn't that necessary. JC is on fire, and it was a bad decision by China not to double-team him. We know that JC is a streaky shooter, and now he will be unstoppable. I don't think China will be able to mount a big comeback in the 4th quarter.
Finally, a win from the Philippines and I think JC can really put this show on their previous games unfortunately, he was guarded extremely during those games. Having this lead against China can be big boost especially that the Asian game will also take place this Month in China, I’d hope to see these player again to have a better chemistry.
425  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: September 02, 2023, 08:52:59 PM
While that might be a good idea to keep things excited, the benefit from a drawing/painting and that they can immediately use if for their marketing so they have an immediate return for their money invested. If you would make poems or music, it seems more difficult to me to implement that for marketing purposes.
Makes complete sense. They do stand to gain a lot more from art contests, but you cannot deny the fact that their popularity has decreased over time in this forum for various reasons.

This is why they need to spice up these art contests in some creative ways in order to attract more members.
If there’s a decline, I don’t think Roobet will continue this campaign but as far as I can see, its been years now and the art contest is still here and many already saw the legacy of Roobet when it comes to the art contest here in the forum, this seems to be one of the best marketing strategy of Roobet. The recent contest is extended, make sure to have your entry ready.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 02, 2023, 01:13:39 PM
It has been an entertaining game so far, and both teams seem to have a good understanding of each other's strategies. The first half has concluded with China holding a one-point lead. In this tournament, the Philippines tends to struggle in the second half, but they can't afford that now if they want to secure a win in this competition. The Philippines' persistent issue with three-point shooting seems to persist, but fortunately, China is also struggling in this regard. However, it's worth noting that China's free throw performance is significantly better than the Philippines', so the home team needs to address this aspect as well.
Gilas have the advantage over China unfortunately, they are not using it well and we are down.
The fans should energized the team so they can go all out, this is their last game and I'd hope that they can finally get the win or else Filipinos will surely bashed the whole coaching staff again. Looking forward for the quarter finals with the top teams here in our country, can't wait to see other teams too.
427  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 02, 2023, 12:28:36 PM
Now, let's assume that 2fa codes are like one time password, that one can not use the same 2fa code to login two or more time before it expires, when the hacker is already in before you , when you click the login, you might see an error telling you 2fa is incorrect, you probably would assume you made a mistake with that code and wait for the next one, not knowing that something really malicious have happened..

This is possible if the hacker sent him a phishing link that will automatically copy and login the OP credentials real time on the same casino. The best thing to verify this is by requesting the casino for IP login history of the account and check whether there’s a record about the different IP login at the same time.

Another scenario is the OP 2FA apps was compromised too but this is very rare to happened since it needs the key to manually back up by the hacker.
His account was compromised, and probably after clicking such link the hacker already monitors his activity.
The support can confirm this but I think they can't help with your funds since its legally gamble on their site, better to be more careful next time.
This is not new, if the offer is too good to be true better to think again, and clicking links is not advisable even with the emails, better to confirm it first.
428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China crackdown against gambling streaming on: September 01, 2023, 09:55:49 PM
I am not deeply informed with China but as far as I contacted with Turk friends living around China, they say internet in China is barely usable without vpn. Like most of educated people are already using vpns. So banning them out may be not so important for group of people that know how to deal with it. But it's still bad for platforms and streams if they are making more money through gambling ads. Pretty sure gambling sponsors were paying well.
That’s because their government still wants to have control over their people, good thing is that the technology are more advance now and using VPN is a good option. Unfortunately, VPN is restricted to many platforms as well so make sure before using this, you know their TOS. Banning crypto was an old strategy with the Chinese government, we’ve seen a lot of this in the past and I think there’s still a chance for the China to change their side with crypto, they are trying to influence the market but they can’t last.
429  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panu labanan ang sweeper bots on: September 01, 2023, 09:47:50 PM
Use every security available to protect your wallet, lalo na yung 2FA and you also need to protect your keys.
Yes, sobrang dami talaga nito and yung target talaga nila is yung mga bounty hunter kase alam nila na sali lang ito ng sali without making sure na legit yung mga project na iyon.

Mas ok magkaroon ng separate wallet for your personal holdings, and never ever exposed that wallet to your bounty activities para maiwasan ang ganito, DYOR always.
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Unlocks One Billion XRP, What will impact on it’s Price? on: September 01, 2023, 09:30:49 PM
The price effect is already being seen already as Ripple falls more than 3.5% in last 24 hours. That's highest among the top 10 cryptos by marketcap. It's in its lowest point than the entire month of August.
I'm neutral about the news of Ripple's win over U.S. SEC. It could bring a positive sentiments for people holding the coins but I still don't think it as a better coin compared to any other popular alts even for short or long term.
This is the effect of the unlocking and having a huge supply available in the market that means you are doing to devaluate the value of your project. Though this might be temporary as we are all waiting for the final resolution about their case with SEC. If XRP will unlock more of their supply, then probably they are doing something that could be affect their future plans.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Still not a safe practice even if it works on: September 01, 2023, 09:18:19 PM
play by the rules, but some countries do prohibit entering gambling sites so they use a VPN to access gambling websites. it doesn't matter, there should be no cheating in using a vpn . it has no impact on their assets, wins or losses. it's just that some people think it's like cheating.
It is simply because your country is restricted and you are trying to access the site even if you are not allowed in the first place, again you have to play by the rules and if you are not allowed to gamble then better not to try. There are cases already that those who gamble using VPN suffer from a loss because the site caught then and they can’t withdraw their money anymore because they violated the rules in the first place.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Finally Time For AI Coins? on: August 31, 2023, 09:58:53 PM
Those are the projects who are just following the hype.
The purpose of AI is different and having its own coin/token might not serve its purpose anymore.
Though we are in an advanced technology generation, we might see some integration in the future but right now AI is still in the stage of adoption and many are still afraid of its effect in our generation.
433  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Sino ang pinakamatagal na account dito sa Pilipinas board? on: August 31, 2023, 09:49:36 PM
2011 ako nag signup.  nsa 5$ palang yata bitcoin nun. nag simula ako mag gpu mining >> bfl labs >> bitmain.
Nice naman, baka ikaw na po talaga ang pinaka first Pinoy dito sa forum though meron pa siguro pero hinde na sila active unlike you po. Anyway, curious ako kung nagtiwala kana ba agad kay Bitcoin at that time and naginvest dito? Imagine $5 palang nuon, baka Bilyonaryo kana ngayon sir aah.  Cheesy
434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: August 31, 2023, 09:39:05 PM
Being responsible in gambling will surely have a positive effect in your life, like you don’t have to worry about your budget because you plan everything and you are not stress because you know what will be the result of your gambling activities. To be more responsible are advisable, personally this brings me more positive vibes since I gamble to have fun as well, and this can be a stress reliever for me.
435  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.GAME do not support on: August 31, 2023, 05:51:09 AM
     -    As far as I know, BC Games was okay before, but recently I've been reading a lot of bad experiences from other gamblers who have tried this platform. I also agree with the OP,  it seems like this issue has been around for a long time. Has BC Games resolved it?

If it's a simple concern issue that can't be resolved immediately or takes a month, it doesn't look good for a casino like BC Games. Is there no reply from their support regarding this matter? I checked his review on TrustPilot, but I can't see it anymore. But anyway, if BC Games cares about their business, they will fix what needs to be fixed.
Only OP can update us about the situation of this issue and I'd hope that BC Game can solve this one since they are considered as one of the good site to gamble, I'm not sure about the current changes with their terms and the other issues with the site. There might be an abuse of the reward here or the site is still working with their investigation, whatever it is the support should inform the player about the issue and give him/her a chance to solve it, this is not a proper way to solve such kind of issue.
436  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened to Crypto Volatility..??? on: August 30, 2023, 09:50:28 PM
I don't remember exactly but 2017 itself was sideways for the early part in most alts before the ATH, and then 2018 also in between.

It's definitely true that volatility index is lower year by year though on BTC alone. Heck, bottom to ATH distance is smaller and smaller.
The volatility might differ based on the current trend and as we can see right now, its very volatile because we are on a downtrend.
The market is getting more volatile actually and becoming more unpredictable, anything can happen and if  you are not doing anything to address such volatility then you might lose the opportunity to make profit. This is beyond our control, what we can do is to make a strategy that can work with the volatile market.
That’s true, the volatility right now are just like the previous trend, as we can see the price drops instantly from $29k to $26k and now it pumps again to the level of $27k in just a Month, so its a volatile trend. Dealing with the volatility might be more risky when you do trading, so better to have a good system about this and know when to timing the market, you can be more profitable if you will not chase the market.
437  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Opinion: Pag invest sa Bitcoin gamit ang Maharlika Fund on: August 30, 2023, 09:29:32 PM
This is a risky investment decision and yung gagamitin is pondo ng bayan so pagnagkataon, pare-parehas tayong mamomoblema dito.

Saka ang kinakatakot ko is decentralized ito, baka kung saan lang nila itransfer yung pera at sabihin na nalugu kahit hinde naman talaga.

Sana maging transparent ang government patungkol dito, we need an assurance that they are investing the money in the right place.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market will pump soon? on: August 30, 2023, 09:16:36 PM
Crypto market was going well, Bitcoin was pumping gradually and altcoins also following the path after bitcoin. But market get dumped recently. But today it shows good signs for something good to be happened. So what do you think? We are going to notice recovery soon? Or many dumps are waiting ahead?
This could be the beginning of the recovery but still there’s a threat from the resistance level.
What I’m seeing right now is the opportunity to buy a cheaper coins, as we are about to end the ghost month I’m expecting a recovery in September and in the last quarter of 2023. We still have the time to buy and accumulate, so don’t miss this chance again.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 30, 2023, 12:19:53 PM
The Philippines vs Italy match was the only competitive match yesterday, as most of the others were one-sided. I had some hope for Japan, but they went down against Australia by a big margin. And Angola put up a decent performance against Dominican Republic. The biggest mismatch will be played today, between the United States and Jordan. I would love to see the odds for this match, but at the same time I have respect for FIBA for allowing such minor teams to compete in the world cup. They want to expand the sport, and it is a good thing.
Too bad for the host country though to be eliminated early in the competition, well it was still a great game and I'd hope that our Gilas team will improve in the coming years and hoping that we can still have the chance to play in FIBA. The game between Dominican and Angolas was also a good one, its just that Dominican are too much for Angola. Going to the next round, I'm sure many teams will play better and will do their best to qualify for next and have a good chance to take the championship title.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: August 29, 2023, 09:58:04 PM
I think that not good coin but good project which can raise good amount of fund from tokensale are listed on top exchange. Because they can manage the listing fee of top exchange. But those that cannot raise a good amount of funds are listed on low quality exchanges. So everything depends on the fund and the fund depends on the investors.
This is a big challenge for every project to get listed on top CEX, because the fees are high and it requires volume so you can stay on their platform. If the project’s goal is to stay longer then its better for them to create a more competitive platform just like the other projects where you don’t need to apply for the listing because the exchange itself will initiate your listing because of the demand on your project and you don’t need to worry about the fees anymore.
