Good morning folks.

Speculation on today's mintpal movement is fair enough. But I'd like to share my opinion.

April 20th is the official stoners holiday and there is a festival every year called Cannabis Cup.
We have a strong presence there including some beautiful flyers and we have been able to put DopeCoin and Potcoin in front of the same potential new investors. When you compare the 2 products, we share similarities but are also quite different.

Additionally DopeCoin's smaller current marketcap allows for a smaller barrier to entry and potentially more rewarding investment opportunity for early adopters. In order to achieve 100% ROI on Potcoin the marketcap would have to increase by a full million dollars, where Dopecoin requires a much smaller injection to provide equal results.

The fact of the matter is that PotCoins success will reverberate to DopeCoin. That's over 100 btc trade volume on DopeCoin since going to sleep.

Our team works through the night regularly and I personally put in 16 hour days on a regular basis, sacrificing many of life's small pleasures including sleep to push the DopeCoin movement forward. Like I mentioned before, Success usually looks a lot like hard work and persistence.

The "pump" on Dopecoin is now well over 100 btc on mintpal. To our oldest thread members and supporters, I am very happy for you:) What a wonderful result. To those of you just coming on board, I welcome you and wish you success and happiness with your new investment. Our development team promises to not disappoint.

Warm regards,

Dopey

Lol damn I was waiting for you bud.

So after careful consideration and additional research we have changed the strategy for the kgw fix and have instead opted to implement the digishield technology.

Wallets will be released later today.

So just some updates folks.

API pos system is virtually completed and the technology is essentially finalized.

We will be adding some design elements shortly to bring it to the same high level of the remainder of our assets.

Additionally the KGW timewarp and heartbleed vulnerabilities have been fixed and will kick in at block 85803

Updated wallets including windows, mac and android will be available to the public tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience guys. We have literally been working around the clock to get everything ready for 4/20.

We will have a presence at both dab fest and cannabis cup in Colorado as well as Amsterdam for the 4/20 celebrations.
Potcoin's recent success will also provide credibility and success to DopeCoin and we should expect to see some traction in the coming days.

Our technology and infrastructure is in place and we will be pouring efforts into the coin mixing service to make good on our original promise to the public.

Please keep in mind that DopeCoin was never intended to work within the current failed monetary system and rather was created to provide a safer and faster way of doing business for the already crypto fluent and tremendously large non legal marketplaces.
Putting one foot in front of the other every day and staying true to Satoshi's original gameplan for decentralized currencies will pay off.

Success most times looks alot like hard work and persistence.

Warm regards,

Dopey

The anonymizer will not be included on this fork as it is quite a piece of technology that will require additional work. This fork will simply deal with the KGW issue and handling the heartbleed vulnerability.

Upcoming fork within the next 36 hours, we will be fixing the KGW timewarp exploit and also implementing the heartbleed fix.
Thanks for your patience guys.

Can I recommend the fork is at least 48 hours after the wallets are compiled and released to prevent forking the coin... thanks!

The source/exe will be available saturday but update will come into effect 4-5 days later.

Well there are several, but none that I know of that actually store and record your drivers license and picture of your face? I may be wrong...

In Canada we merely show our ID to buy liquor and smokes, no databases yet.

A hypothetical situation that should be considered...
Your at a border crossing or get pulled over for a speeding ticket and are now facing additional scrutiny and possible searches due to purchases you made. This database of "drug users" provides an additional weapon to those keeping tabs on us.

On another note it appears the new technology is not going over well with shareholders and may be also infringing on a patent. Stock dropped by 20% today alone.

There's these new vending machines coming out in Colorado that allow you to buy marijuana edibles with fiat currency and bitcoins.
Simply put in your ID card then have a picture of your face taken which is then added/processed through a database and enjoy your treat.
Does anyone else see a major issue with this or is it just me?

oh Carlos, I guess we had to expect some blow back from Nomads hilarious evening.

Coming in here and complaining doesn't help. I honestly don't understand your contributions to this community.
I think he was asking legitimate questions and trying to gain an understanding of what's going on. There's no need to be a jerk, man. You're really starting to come off to me as a guy who can't keep his cool, which is weird, given the primary subject of Dopecoin. The worst thing you can do is be so affected by trolls and assholes - It's exactly what they want. They want to trip you up.

Also, the fact questions are asked, concerns are being raised, and people's interest and worry over the value of this coin is still a contribution. Some of us don't have the means to push the agenda forward. For example, I don't social network - It's not my thing - And I don't really have any formidable skills. The most I can do is invest $500 in this coin and keep checking in while telling who I can about it (I don't have a lot of people I can tell, really. Who I can tell ask questions, but don't keep an interest, and the others aren't exactly tech-minded).

What else CAN I do? Give me some ideas. Otherwise, stop putting us down and calling us complainers and non-contributers when we're giving legitimate response. It's not like we're dumping and moving on.  I'm not, anyway.

If you check Carlos's posts you can clearly see that yes he is trolling me. I guess the better response would be to completely ignore any naysayers rather than try and give each person an explanation. I am human just like everyone else and yes I do sometimes take offense to people insulting our hard work. I apologize if I responded in a manner that you did not agree with but I would be doing something wrong in life if I was friends with everyone. Once again we were up until 5 am last night working away on DopeCoin.

What question was asked?
The community of silence
Have not more people help this coin

This is hardly a question and more of a mild insult. It's very rude to come in and call us the community of silence and then ask what's wrong with your coin? Which was also repeated the day before. Myself and our team of contributing forum members were once again up until 5 am working through the night putting the finishing touches on the Miss DopeCoin contest, fixing poker bugs and adding features and working on the shopping cart API system. And the response was not directed at you Zirc, you have been here from the start. The other member on the other hand just showed up a couple of days ago spreading fud for no reason. Now I wonder... should I of just ignored this post or responded to it individually with my own personal opinion? As you can see it's a difficult situation to navigate and no I will not be right with my responses or actions 100% of the time.

We continue to put one step in front of the other every day and will be around for a very long time to come. DopeCoin will stick to the original path that was laid out by BitCoin and always try to step away from the current corrupt monetary system that has completely failed everyone but the 1%. Along the way we will work day and night to bring new products and services to enhance the DopeCoin user experience.
To put things into perspective this post took 10 minutes of my busy day.

I have been invited for a VICE interview this afternoon and am looking forward to seeing the results of that effort.

Happy 2 month birthday DopeCoin.

Warm regards,

Dopey

This is being added now bud. Thanks for the suggestion.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DOPE] DopeCoin - A true decentralized currency on: April 16, 2014, 08:54:29 AM
Once again our team is up until the early hours of the morning working away.

Poker was released less than 24 hours ago and adds another piece of infrastructure to the puzzle.
The shopping cart system will be released by Friday at the latest.

Yes we still need to gather additional users and marketplaces and we will. DopeCoin is not something that will slowly grow but rather something that will take off one day.

We've put a tremendous amount of effort in with this project, and DopeCoin is literally 2 months old today as it was launched on Feb 16th 2014.
Instead of complaining... perhaps you could help the development team to push the DopeCoin agenda forward and thus solidify your investment.

Regards,

Dopey
