421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: October 04, 2017, 04:56:04 PM
For games like poker, if you're not constantly examining and analyzing your play at every opportunity, you'll never get your poker game to where you want it to be. Yes, any player can go on a lucky Run and win for a while without really looking into their gameplay but a player that studies their gameplay and relys on past hand history is already 2 steps ahead.
422  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet on WWE on: October 04, 2017, 04:44:24 PM
If you can bet on awards shows...then why not the WWE?

I'd say that's a pretty fair point.  I could actually see this workin. Say two Of the WWE fans get onto a site where they can bet against just each other instead of the house. Obviously, at the end of the day national wrestling is scripted so you would never want to put any kind of real money on it. This could be classified as one of those just for fun bets in my book.
423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Junk Picks: NFL / NCAAF / Rugby on: October 04, 2017, 04:36:53 PM
With that last touchdown in the last four seconds was not exactly what i had in mind, but hey a win is a win. Pretty amazing fashion to cover the spread. Do you have any oppinions yet for thursday night?

Yeah, that was the craziest last second cover I think I've ever seen. The Over hit as well because of that last freak TD. Cray. And yeah, I do have action on Thursday Night NFL Football:

Thursday 5 Oct. NFL 1% bets, (picks and odds in bold)

New England Patriots @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers +5.5 (1.948)

My Wager: Betslip

New England Patriots @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over 55.5 (1.986)

My Wager: Betslip

Everyone knows New England rarely loses back to back games, but this year they have a serious problem with their defense - as in, they don't have one. If it weren't for a miracle TD against Houston with 30 seconds left on the clock two weeks ago, the Pats could easily be 1-3. Tom Brady and the offense is clicking away as normal, ranked #1 overall in the league. But like I said, the problem is with their defense. They are ranked last in the league in Total Defense, last in total yards allowed per game and second to last (above just Indianapolis) in points allowed per game. Their defense is basically nonexistent.

NE will be the traveling away team playing on a short week, so they will have less time to recover and prepare. I don't see how their defense will be able to cover both Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson. Against the spread, I like Tampa Bay at home getting 5.5 points. I think it will be a high scoring close game. I've yet to mention, Tampa's defense isn't that great either, hence why I think it will be a high scoring close game and hence, I'm also taking the OVER. I think the total points will be in the neighborhood of around ~60-65 points or so. There's a 40% chance of rain early in the night with winds 13-25 mph. That might have an affect, but I'm still thinking high score.

Whoa, now this looks like a pretty good pick. For me, its not so much  that I believe in Tampa Bay or anything, for me it's the fact that I don't trust New England's defense . We all know Tom Brady can keep them in a game no matter what, but I'd say if Tampa Bay can capitalize on an interception or two, they have a very good chance of winning. So junko, im gonna follow this pick of yours good luck.

Adding an underdog pick for today.

Sunday 1 Oct. NFL, 1% bet, pick and odds in bold

Los Angeles Rams +6 (1.948) @ Dallas Cowboys

My Wager: Betslip

Dallas is the favorite (-6). However they are dealing with some significant injuries. Their defensive secondary is banged up and leading tackler, LB Sean Lee (hamstring), will be a game time decision as to whether he will play or not. On offense, it looks like they will be starting a back up at left guard on an O-line that hasn't seemed to have quite fully gelled yet. Meanwhile, QB Jared Goff and RB Todd Gurley of the Rams are healthy and are producing well with the play calling of coach Sean McVay. I think the line should be closer to a Pick where neither team is favored. BTW, the Rams wins have come against two teams who are a combined 0-6 so far this season. This game should tell us if the Rams are really legit or counterfeit.

This turned out to be a great pick, i also had this play on a Betslip and was happy with the final turn out. Im noticing you have picked this chiefs for tonight. I also believe this to be a great pick, kc at home in primetime? Yeah, buddy. I think it will be another one of them dogfights though, redskins have been playing well. Im looking for the chiefs to lay down the hammer in the fourth quarter and winning by 10. Good luck.

Thanks, man. I was pretty confident in picking the Rams. If it wasn't so early in the season, I might have put 2 or 3 bet units more on it. The thing with that particular pick is that having been born and raised in Dallas, I am a huge Cowboys fan. And I rarely bet on Cowboys games whether for or against my team. One of the things I've learned when it comes to gambling is to not let your emotions guide or sway you in any way. That's why I try like all hell not to put any money on a Cowboys game either for or against. But when I saw the opening line with Dallas as a 6 point favorite, I knew that it was inflated. Even with key injuries on the Cowboy's side, the line didn't move, so that just confirmed it. As a fan, I hoped my Cowboys would win even if it meant me losing money. But as a gambler putting money on the game and looking at both the overall and individual match ups, I just couldn't see Dallas winning this game, much less covering 6 points.

And good call on the KC game for both of us. You were right, it was a dogfight and just like you predicted, KC would shut them down in the fourth quarter where they held Washington to just a field goal. (Hey, you should make a tipster thread if you haven't already Wink) I always like the Chiefs at home in prime time.

Anyway, happy to see us both win and interesting that we saw these games the same way.  Grin

__________

Monday results (pick and odds in bold):

Washington Redskins @ Kansas City Chiefs -7 (2.056) - Win +1.056 bet units (Betslip)

Nice win to end NFL Week 4.

Monday Total: +1.056 bet units
Cumulative Total: +6.609 bet units

It can be hard to bet against your own team, to be able to do so shows That you have a cool head and some betting know how. Im also glad to get that we predicted correctly with the chiefs. With that last touchdown in the last four seconds was not exactly what i had in mind, but hey a win is a win. Pretty amazing fashion to cover the spread. Do you have any oppinions yet for thursday night?
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: October 02, 2017, 08:52:18 PM
Guess my biggest bit coin regret would be underestimating the true peak of bitcoin prices. I sold off a lot a bit coin a year or two ago when the price rose up to $1000 a bit coin. Of course it did ended up dropping back to the mid-$300 range before slowly taking back off and getting to where it is now. Had I just held onto some of the coin I would of been pretty well-off.

Excellent! I'll be really looking forward to checking out the poker room when it launches on October 10th.  I have to say it's from the screenshot it looks pretty good, let's hope people get behind you and start filling up the rooms with poker players. I for one have grown tired of the very few poker rooms we do have and would like to support a new up and coming room. We need one thats gonna bring all the bitcoin players together.

428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where do Bitcoin poker players play and why? on: October 02, 2017, 12:23:51 AM
I usually play on Pokerstars and I deposit with Bitcoin through Neteller
Personally, I don't really like the design of most Bitcoin exclusive poker sites and they usually also don't have too many players.

I don't mind paying a bigger fee to deposit through Neteller.

Being that im unfamiliar with how net teller works or even what it really is, i wanted to ask a question. Your saying you can deposit you bitcoin into net teller and they transfer money to poker stars? If that is true is there a way to withdraw bitcoin when you withdraw from pokerstars?

Just noticed you are on a mac. You might try to google crossover for mac. Its a simple software that lets you use pc applications, i used to use this alot when i was playing poker on a mac. Should be a free trial on there.
431  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there nowhere to play NL Holdem tournaments anymore regularly? on: October 01, 2017, 06:11:25 PM
I am just getting back to playing and I cannot find a site that has regular tournaments. I used to use Seals With Clubs back when they had Apple and web browser support. Betcoin was my alternative and that seems dead. What is the most popular place to play these days?

Im sure your aware that seals had shut down, but in its place is swcpokerif you havent found that yet. They are now using the old grid poker design and its great. You might also check out nitrogen, while I'm not sure how great the tournaments are, there always seems to be some sort of action there.
432  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase issue on: October 01, 2017, 02:33:51 AM
When I first got into bitcoin coinbase was the one wallet I found that seemed trusted and reliable. Everything is working out great until about eight months ago I got contacted by them saying they no longer allow US customers and that i needed to withdraw my btc. I did so. My issue is, i have a local friend who has a coinbase account and he has never heard of this or been contacted by coinbase. Was wondering if any americans had the same experience?

I don't follow overwatch but to claim to have a %99 winrate cannot be accurate. To get those kinds of number I assume you would have to use some sort of a cheat or bot. But, by chance if you are doing this legit, may I suggest handing out a few vouchers to higher level members of the forum. If it really is what you say it is, with a vouch from a respected member, you should have no problem pushing your service.
434  Economy / Gambling / Re: Play Poker Online with Bitcoin - Multiplayer Game - US Player Friendly on: September 30, 2017, 03:39:27 PM
Love the idea of more poker sites popping up nowadays. It seems that there has only ever been a few good ones at a time. The issue I have with this website though, is that it is the same software as 50 other bitcoin poker rooms that have came and went. I'm not saying this one wont work I'm just wondering whats gonna make bitoker any different? I think it has always been a problem for bitcoin casinos to just get the players to play at your room. Might be a good idea to have a week build up to a good sized freeroll as a promotion.

436  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: September 30, 2017, 03:08:13 PM
In my personal record the investment in gambling site always yield a profit monthly. And it was between 0.01% to 0.15% monthly.
That brings it similar to any other simple investment.

I have had similar success a couple of years ago I had invested in 2 new dice sites. After a month, 1 of them had done really well and the other had made quite a lot less but still a decent ROI. As I have been getting back into bitcoin, I will be keeping an eye out for similar opportunities.

This was a smart move to change the minimum bet from 0.001 to 0.0001 I can imagine as bitcoin prices went up the smaller gamblers either had to slow down their betting or completely stop altogether. I for one am happy with the change.

For me, I will be betting Monday night game of chiefs vs the redskins. Kansas City is on fire this year, not only is the defense still playing well but the offense has showed up with some big play makers. I'll take Kc -7
