Just so we're clear, the first time Minergate doesn't have a huge slice of the network, suddenly the 2 biggest non-minergate pools get attacked? What is Minergate's issue with DSH exactly?

All payments sent guys, thanks for supporting the network. Next ones happening tomorrow night. Tell your friends

Please feel free to post here for any tech support related to switching from Minergate to one of the updated Dash pools.. At this point it appears Minergate is not interested in updating their DSH pool, so the transaction issues we are experiencing will continue for as long as MG has people mining there I'm also thinking about a giveaway/incentive to encourage miners to mine at one of the healthy pools (and compensate for time lost switching pools) more details on this coming tonight/tomorrow (but really you should do it bcause you love DSH ) Sounds like hard fork is best solution for this? Or i am wrong? Nah, we got this update: the miner's response has been unbelievable!.. MG has lost over 50% of their DSH hash in less than 24 hours. kudos to the Dash community! GIVEAWAY NEWS Here's how it's going to work. Send me a PM with your DSH address and the pool you're mining on. At random time during the day, if your address is hashing, i'll send you Dashcoins! One PM is all it takes to receive your bonus DSH for the next couple days (maybe longer!) payouts will depend on whatever coins are generated by my 3kh mining DSH, divided by the number of PM's Now, enough talk! Let's see some PM's! (first payments will be made around 15-18 hours from now)

Hi folks! First of all, I use the latest version of dashcoind from 16 Sep on my pool. Here is the --version output: > dashcoind --version 2014-Oct-20 10:18:48.631403 Starting... 2014-Oct-20 10:18:48.633060 dashcoin v1.0.2.358() dashcoin v1.0.2.358()
Secondly the statement that MinerGate has moved to modified daemon code on 10/06/2014 is totally incorrect. CRYPTONOTE_BLOCK_GRANTED_FULL_REWARD_ZONE represents a base median value of block total transactions size and can be shifted forward. As you can see the current median of 63d91c6d5f7f9eab1cc2ad3f3be0435fba2427694ba4579e1cdb6077e8e47110 ' malicious' block equals 23,142 bytes, which means it can contain up to 23 Kb of transactions. Real block size depends on the daemon's tx pool state - the mining pool have nothing to include into the block if it is empty. So, since this isn't correct, the remaining statements are incorrect also. Lastly for whose benefit? Please answer what my pool will gain from this potential modification? Instead of blaming the honest mining pool you should better ask the network maintainers to check the Dashcoin code. Your pool is obviously not up to date. So tell us, what are your motivations?

nopedope89, please update your DASH pool. Minergate is using an outdated daemon here is how it should look: "majorVersion": 1, "minorVersion": 1, here is how yours looks: "majorVersion": 1, "minorVersion": 0, Please refer to the screenshots below:

Yes, minergate appears to be denying the issues... scratch xmining off the list as well, the last time i received a payment from them was oct 20 and they haven't replied to my ticket in 36 hours. millions of dsh in limbo... I am back to mining at democats
|
|
|
^ I did not know about. That's some serious sh*t.... I'll stick to democats, unipool and xmining The minergate has serious potential to hurt the community because of the lack of technical knowledge required to use their software. People aren't likely to understand and/or care about that. I hope they fix it soon. I was trying to use minergate for GPU mining because I was getting some very attractive hashrates, but it seems that it is a mirage... Agreed! I was a happy minergate user for months (first xmr now dsh) on a few desktop machines but have now switched to xmining and democats.. i have also stopped recommending minergate to friends that are not tech savvy but interested in mining.. i cannot recommend minergate until these issues are addressed

slb, interesting findings.. I have posted in the Minergate thread and sent a PM.. hopefully they fix the issue. I had a few cpu's pointed at minergate mining DSH which i've switched over to democats and xmining
I wonder what minergate gains by doing this if it was not an accident..

The Dashcoin Wallet GUI is here! Right now it is Windows only. Mac and Linux builds will come later. You can download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dashcoinwalletgui/files/latest/downloadThis version contains the following features. It will be updated as more features are added: - Syncs blockchain with network
- Can load/generate a wallet
- Loads balance
- Loads address
- Lists transaction history (sends and receives)
- Can send Dashcoin
Github: https://github.com/pwstegman/DashcoinWalletGUITo import an already existing wallet, copy wallet.bin, wallet.bin.address.txt, and wallet.bin.keys to the same directory as the wallet GUI. Rename the files to wallet.bin, wallet.bin.address.txt, and wallet.bin.keys if they are not already named that. Awesome! Sending some coins your way

BCX, we'd like to formally respond to this - So what was your reason for attacking Monero and refusing to allow devs to fix your exploit?
They claim they've already TW proofed XMR and do not need any help. ~BCX~ In your post on September 17th you stated that you had found very specific exploits in Monero. Immediately, and in direct response to you, we asked if you could disclose the vulnerability to us privately so we could fix it. You did not respond to our request. Subsequent to that post, in which you stated that you had no need or desire to attack Monero, you announced that you would be attacking Monero, and gave us 72 hours notice. At no point since we asked if you would disclose the exploit privately to us did we, formally or informally, claim that we had "TW proofed XMR". As it states in our ANN on Bitcointalk: "the official core team members are (in no particular order) - tacotime, eizh, smooth, fluffypony, othe, davidlatapie, NoodleDoodle". We cannot control what anyone else says of Monero, and if anyone has implied or stated that a TW-style attack is impossible that is not a view that we share. We are not naive enough to state that Monero is anything-proof, and we cannot categorically state that you do or do not have an exploit as you have not disclosed any details to us. In addition, we have said and continue to say that Monero is alpha-level software, and is nowhere near the level of maturity Bitcoin has (and Bitcoin itself is considered beta software by its developers). We regularly have people providing assistance to the project, be it financial or direct effort or the imparting of some unique observation to us. We warmly invite and encourage assistance from everyone. We would never reject the offer of help unless we had a very specific reason to do so, and we most certainly do not reject your offer of help. We want to continue to make Monero better, and so any assistance you or anyone else can provide is deeply appreciated by us all. Therefore, we openly and kindly invite you to disclose the details of the exploit to us privately so we may analyse and fix any exploits that may exist. You may do so by sending a private message to this account, sending a private message to any of the named core team members as listed above, or sending an email to dev@monero.cc

new to DSH.. this coin has everything going for it from what i can see.. truly fair distribution (optimized public cpu and gpu miners available at launch) Cryptonote tech and none of the BCN/XMR/BBR drama

You are grasping at straws.
You should have seen him when he was pimping for hashfast. I wouldn't take much of what he says seriously
