I don't know if anyone remembers, but the dev actually has more than 200 million coins hidden. There are actually 1 billion coins, not 800 million as advertised on the op.
Maybe you missed some of the history, please read about last changes on the wallet software. tldr: a wallet with ~200 million coins was lost by dev on a hard drive failure. That address was blocked on the software so those coins won't move (nodes won't accept them). Money Supply is yet ~1billion because those coins still exist (although they won't be allowed to be used on transactions). Adriano Need proof of the block. Show me the address on the blockchain. And you ask me to do your homework? If you don't believe on what I said, doesn't matter any links I post... go into the source and check by yourself, everything is there: the address and the changes made in order to block such transactions. Adriano I'm not a programmer but I am fully capable of checking an address on any cryptocurrency block explorer. I'm glad we're able to watch AC through bitcoinwisdom now but do you really think there will be anything to watch once POS hits? I'm guessing there won't be much affect but then again I'm mostly basing that on the fact that it's late (I'm just now realizing and since time is relative I guess something could happen, technically) Looks like the floor is around 1600 satoshis. May stabilize at over 2K by tomorrow or in the next few days. |

I believe the big pump of BC was too fast and sure enough it came down fast too. This one seems a bit more gradual which fits me just fine. well.. the early pumps of BC I should say  Doesn't matter. If the hype catches on it will be pumped. I'm not a fan of 2 week stake though. So after the 1st year, this will be like WC? haha Or am I missing something? AC dev told us that they already tested the code and it works. WC didn't work. Anyway, if you want to sell after the first year, be my guest. This coin will not reach 300 million coins in the first year just because of the transfers between exchanges and coin holders. That is why there is a 2 week stake. |

In the whole scheme of things it is really a cheap campaign. If other people have ideas, let them organize them and collect donations based on how much people think it will return for them. Quick follow-up ideas... I've gotten a handful of PM's asking me how would you even go about creating an ETF-type product like what Secondmarkets want to do with BitCoin? While creating these products is not really my side of the investment business (I'm on the investors' side rather than the product-creation side if that makes sense), this fact sheet from Secondmarkets ( http://www.bitcointrust.co/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Fact-Sheet_April.pdf) shows some basic entities you would need, such as: -Sponsoring company (which may very well be completely independent of the developers) -Independent Auditor -Legal Counsel to the Sponsor (and I have actually heard that this one Secondmarkets has here, Sidley Austin LLP, is pretty damn good at currency and commodity-linked indexes, which is likely what form of ETF any potential Blackcoin ETF would take) -Stock Transfer Agent -Delaware Statutory Trustee -Someone to act as a primary distributor And I'm sure there are more entities involved. Anyhow, I don't entirely think Iconic's idea is bad I just think it's mis-placed and will be all for naught with what will be ordinary touristy people who happen to be visiting Wall Street. Now, I saw this genius MIT plan with Bitcoin today ( http://bitcoin.mit.edu/announcing-the-mit-bitcoin-project/) ...now THAT is a place (ie a large, well-known college campus) where Iconic's plan would be marvelous. I think this MIT/BTC plan is the perfect target for this kind of plan because for the most part they're a very tech-savvy target and they're young and the target is likely tech-savvy guys and what college guy wouldn't take a Blackcoin Card from a pretty face? But furthermore, what college students use cash? None. Nearly all use credit cards these days already pre-loaded with fundage from mom and dad. I'd speculate that these MIT students mainly use this BTC to payback each other for various things (cable bill, utility bill, payback for the 6 beers last night, etc) and I'm going to guess that the ending result from this large experiment will be that BTC's slow transaction times will keep students from using it to pay for other things (books, groceries, etc). Now enter Blackcoin though, I could see an experiment like this with Blackcoin having hugely massive success due in part to ridiculously fast transaction times. What if Blackcoin completely emulated this experiment and gave out pre-loaded cards to students at like Stanford or some other highly visible but tech-savvy university in the same fashion Iconic is calling for? Or perhaps we balls-up and do it at MIT? Compete with BTC at the transaction-level in a highly-visible competition of sorts. JL +1. I'd listen to Jesse Livermore rather than Iconic. |

Dev seems fair and on top of things here on this thread. The web and coin dev team for Sharecoin have got things done with this coin before launch that other coins have not done in 3 months of post launch existence. Give him some time to respond as I think he manages other coins as well. I would make sure that you don't PM him too much, I'm sure he has a lot to sort through atm. I just PM'd him once, that's all. I'm sure he is well aware of my situation as this is public now. |

I Pm'd the OP but he never responded. So, I'm going to explain here.
Anyway, I originally applied with this account but didn't see my name pop up. Tried Firefox and that didn't work either initially.
So I applied with another username that my gf use rarely. Saw that it worked so I was happy.
Went to my daily job. As soon as I got off, I saw the "clone" or "multiple" accounts being disqualified so I double checked to make sure that two of our usernames weren't in the database, but it appeared that my username and her username were registered. We both have the same IP address and she uses my computer.
I messaged the OP and explained the situation. I even removed the ShareCoin signature from her account to make sure that there is only one account registered with ShareCoin to make sure that we get the coins. (My gf and I have discussed that we will split the stake if the OP is worried about 2 accounts on the same ip and computer)
There is only one account registered with ShareCoin and the other account is already not qualified due to the signature being removed.
Anyway, this account is the only one that is currently in green on the ShareCoin website and the other one is in the red.
I really hope that the Dev is fair. Will keep you updated.
