Why are 800k+ coins for dev?
Isn't that a bit much compared to the low supply of ~10k coins per day?!
Yes. At current exchange rates (I'm seeing .01BTC on bittrex right now) that's 8000BTC, or roughly $3.6m if he could get someone to buy all of them. I'd like to see someone fork this project with zero premine and have the blocks pay out 80% to fold, 20% to miner, in much the same way devcoin does it. And also, there is no good reason not to merge mine this. The thing is, nobody had any idea what each curecoin would be worth until people started trading them. Their value is only just beginning to be determined, and we only have a few low volume trades to go by at this point, which may end up being meaningless in the long term. It could turn out that 800k cure do end up being worth millions or billions, and if so, I'm sure the devs have a plan for what they will do with all the extra at some point. No one has said that they are going to necessarily dump them for cash and keep it all for themselves. |

the amount of coins paid out needs to be upped. I mean for 5 rigs each approx 300ppd you are getting perhaps 15 coins a day? how can 1 btc donation get you 700 days mining ? crazy.
I suggest amount of cure coins x 10 now and up the coins per day paid out.
Your numbers are way off. I got ~24.7 CURE for one day with 120k PPD. You should be able to get over 250 CURE with 1.5M PPD. With that rate it would take ~40 days to get 10k CURE. Not sure where you get the 15/day number from, or 700 days. @ crypto :Most likely 15 cure is payout for part days work.. Like maybe couple hours of folding when ppd /curecoin got its daily update. @baracuda : year back at ipo, investors that gave 1btc, will get or got total of 10k. So by cryptos calculations 15 coins a day would equal 10.000 /15 = 666.67 days ~ 700days Ok but still that's just wrong. 1.5M PPD does not equal 15 coins/day. Based on the first day's payout it equals ~250 coins/day, and by that calculation, it would take ~40 days. So I understand the 700 days is wrong because he used the wrong number of 15 coins/day. So where does he get 15 coins/day? He's off by a factor of ~17 |

With a 270x I'm getting very poor performance. gpu:0:Hawaii [Radeon R9 200 series]. In the work queue the ETA on the gpu is 10 days while my cpu is about 2 and a half hours. Any suggestions? Is my card just not powerful enough for this type of work?
turn off one core on your cpu. Your gpu will need it ...Advanced settings. under SLOT click on the cpu and change -1 to a number less than your cpu cores... Before you try to fix something that's probably not even broken, I refer you to my previous reply: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=603757.msg6707438#msg6707438That said, you do get optimal performance by keeping 1 core/thread free for each GPU, plus one extra thread/core. I have 2 GPUs and get optimal perfomance using only 3 of my 6 CPU cores. |

For the record as of 13.5.2014 there is no working exchange for curecoin.
Bittrex listed wrongly (no cure there)
Scifiexchange down (bad code)
and the last one have zero in it.
Are people just keeping it ?

The points shown in the team list are not your PPD (points per day), they are your total points so far. If you've completed 1 work unit worth 50k, but you will be doing that every <12 hours, then the numbers are correct. |

Sry to bother but I have a noob question.
I have been folding for more than 24hr now.F@H shows my score already but in the pool I still have zero PPD and no CUR.
I checked my username and its exact the same for both F@H and the pool and Im sure in the right team.
Am I missing something?
Only that it can take up to 72 hours between completion of your first WU and getting your first payout. |

I think if folding ASICs were to ever become a reality that would be a great thing and Curecoin will have accomplished it's true purpose....Ridiculous amounts of computational power devoted to folding proteins. GPU folders like myself would be SOL as far as earning new coins, but if they had been hoarding their coins up until that point and the price skyrockets, they are also winners.

i don't know if the setup is wrong, am i wasting my time, i am listed on the F@H list but from what i can see nothing is going into coins - and people saying 'just wait its for a good cause' then why isn't there at least a message on the pool telling me this? why show KH = 0 if it doesn't work like that lol? ... to the people insulting everyone who is asking these questions and calling them stupid - try to understand coins are built around incentives - folding is not the incentive to miners, coins are the incentive to miners. its like that whole incentive structure has been taken out of here and you are disconnected, after 3 days with nothing back right now this feels more like a folding project with a coin strapped on that doesn't work properly, everyone is so excited about the folding team performance what about the coins i am supposed to be spending my $ on lol?  before you accuse me of trolling, this is actually good advice - sort your coins / support side out please, this is what the coin's success relies on. jeffminer, if you look at your stats on the folding @ home website you should be able to see how many points you've earned. As long as you have earned points on stanford's website, you were folding for team curecoin, and your username matches your cryptobullion username, you will get your coins (eventually). I think you have a legitimate point though, and Cygnus has already said they are making it a priority for faster updated stats and payouts. He could probably resolve all your questions as to your specific amounts of points/coins earned, etc. but he is no doubt EXTREMELY busy right now. TL;DR: Unfortunately, for now, you do have to wait, but your concerns are valid and are being addressed. In the meantime, check your F@H stats on standford's website to make sure you've been earning points for team curecoin for some peace of mind. |

I see your problem...you only waited about 10 minutes or so. It takes ~30 mins to calculate a proper ETA after you start a work unit. Until then your GPU will only show something like 1679 PPD, and an ETA of 10.20 days, and the progress bar will not show your true progress. If you look in the log, however, it will tell you your progress on your WU, and you can calculate your actual ETA from that.
Just look at the timestamp at some % progress, and then again when it is 1% higher, and multiply that amount of time by 100 to get your total ETA. In this case, if you had continued folding until you reached 3% progress, you could have used the difference in time between 2% and 3% to calculate.

I had this same 'problem' about a month ago when I was getting my rig ready to be able to fold, and I see a lot of other people posting about this 'issue'. Maybe the OP or the setup guide could be edited to say that the ETA will take a half hour or so to update?...and that seeing 1679 PPD and 10.20 ETA is normal until then. It might save a lot of questions and confusion among new folders thinking something is wrong when there isn't.
