If to be honest - I'm not an Nostradamus. My price expectations are exceeded long time ago. I'm not trying to guess any value, I only see clearly that it stable and confidently grows, that's enough for me. Look at the Longterm chart and you'll understand this. Everyday i can trade another coins, but only in shadows i invest. are you serious???...me, you and most of the people here know you are not honest with your answer anyway, better we close this subject now You asked - I answered. For some individuals - why are you so angry at the price? Nobody forces you to invest in something, what you do not believe. If you want to see mega pump here and make a lot of money in several days - go to the Paycoin, Fuel2coin, Blocknet etc. or any other whales-manipulated scam projects. This project is free of manipulators and at the same time it's free of pumper's cartels. But look at yourself, most of you're just observers here, you do not take part in the development of the project, but at the same time you are always outraged when the price does not grow. It's so funny
Some advices:
1)If you are addicted on the price, you should leave the project
2)If you are afraid for the future of SDC, you should leave the project. (Because everybody with brains knows that the future of project with such talented and unique devs will be great)
3)If you are promoting SDC attacking other projects, you should leave the project.
We need a healthy and positive army of people in this community, who will not cry at the every normal market drop. We need strong and longterm investors, instead of impatient kids who's buying at 30k and selling at 20k. Lol
We need speakers, analysts, designers, programmers, tech dreamers and crypto philosophers, or just healthy people with the normal brains. We don't have to fight with DRK & XMR guys, must accept any points of view and have normal debates. SDC is one of the most honest and for sure the most technologically advanced altcoin project. We must strive for excellence.

One worry i have is that devs will abandon the project after all their excellent hard work turned out to have no positive effect on the price. I mean, what incentive do the devs now have to continue working on this project? Surely they must be frustrated by the lack of hype after v2 and they could be thinking that any further work on the project will be worthless as a result (if releasing ShadowSend v2 does not increase price, then what will?). Of course I understand that price is not everything, but in the end the devs need to feed their kids.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not spreading FUD and I own 120k SDC and will hold since I am a gambler and I believe in the tech, but it is still a worry (we don't want another Cloak).
What do you guys think?

Lol. Don't worry and be happy with your 120k. SSv2 is only starting for sure. Get your holidays P.S. The problem lies not in the lack of PR. The main problem is in the tranquility and overall situation on the whole alt market. The volume of alts in the spring-summer was 3-4x greater than it is now. But anyway this project is the best place for investing for you |

There is no huge difference guys. Shadow is using almost exactly the same protocol (and methods of providing anonymity) as cryptonote with some minor tweaks (fewer denominations for each digit, which either way is a reasonable but somewhat arbitrary trade off between chain size and anonymity set size)
People said that Satoshi's Bitcoin invention wasn't so great either. They said the encryption and most of the schemes were already invented. The brilliance of Satoshi however, was putting those pieces that were invented by others before him, together in a brilliant way that created a powerful incentive system. I see what Shadow is doing as much similar. Perhaps the developers borrowed and used techniques from those that came before, but what they have done is put those pieces together in a unique genius way. It has the same essence and feel as Bitcoin does, and I like that. That wasn't my point. You are being a bit defensive. What I'm saying is that you get the same anonymity as cryptonote. That is not a bad thing. Cryptonote is the best system yet invented for anonymous coins, so this is a positive. The conversion/minting/creating/destroying process doesn't give you more anonymity. Possibly less, if you are converting too often (though there is no good reason to do that). But no more is needed, because cryptonote is already pretty damn good. Hey Smooth, welcome! See this reddit thread There's little substance in the code, the verifyRingSignature() method is trivially simple and isn't called anywhere else in that commit. Their proposed function, generateRingSignature(), doesn't exist and thus it's impossible to determine whether they've actually done anything of substance. The whitepaper is purposely vague in many of the important parts, and a review in conjunction with code is impossible, so we have to take it on the face of it...which is that NIZK + ring signatures + security + low space utilisation = impossible right now.
Any comments? I don't think the full code for ShadowSend v2 was available in the repo, hence the references to "secret sacue", when he made that comment. He's welcome to have another look now that it is. Thank you, I'm not trying to troll. I'm genuinely interested in learning more but obviously with so much money involved invested on different sides it is hard to get a straight answer sometimes.
