421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] POPULOUS - Invoice trading platform | ICO l BOUNTY CAMPAIGN on: December 26, 2017, 04:31:29 PM
I checked Populous's Slack and found they created a new Channel called "populous-eth-comm" and at first I thought it might be geared towards the airdrop of PXT. However, I ask one of the people on their team what this was for and he/she responded that this ETH contract coding was for the beta. I think the ETH contracts will be the hardest part for them as its an unknown ground. I mean there are all kinds of ways you can code a website but not much in the way of integrating that into a website with Smart Contracts. Your thoughts?

Maybe Patientory can somehow team up or get bought out by Amazon?

423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEW*[ANN][ICO]*OFFICIAL*LGD*MEMBERSHIP TOKEN SALE*BITTREX EXCHANGE* on: May 29, 2017, 11:48:51 PM
I can't wait for trading to begin and the Legends Room to open in Vegas. I had a question or rather a thought for you LegendsRoomLGD. According to your ANN page and website there are a total of 6000 membership tokens carved out of 30,000,000 tokens. However, 6000 memberships as a possibility would be almost impossible to achieve for two reasons as the members would hold more or less then allotted for a membership surplus or deficient in tokens and the exchange(s) (right now just Bittrex) would hold a sum of tokens from fees from users selling or buying tokens. When a wallet or app is created for storing the tokens would Bittrex allow for one free migration to the app or could we choose to use Ether to pay for the transaction fees rather than have Bittrex charge us in LGD for transferring tokens to the app?
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: June 14, 2016, 03:59:46 PM

I like it when people do something about it, rather than just talk about it. I'm OK with Cryptopia, but if there is a positive move to go for Polionex as well, then it gets my support. Getting TEK listed on an exchange in another hemisphere can't be bad, so let's focus on Polionex for now. To request it to be listed you have to fill in a Coin Request form. The form has these questions to fill in and I've put in some of the answers to save you time in looking:

What is the name of the coin? TEKcoin!
What is the coin's symbol? TEK
Please link to the announcement page.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320404.0

If the coin has a website, please link it here.
http://tekcoin.org/

If the coin has a block explorer, please link it here.
http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/TEK/index.php
http://blockexperts.com/tek
http://tek.blockchain.lt/

Please explain why you would like to see this coin added to the exchange.
If this coin has any significant innovations over other coins, please elaborate on them here.
Are you the developer of this coin or otherwise affiliated with it?

The link to the form isn't easily accessible at first glance, so here's the link to it loud and clear:

Vote for Polionex

We could target other exchanges with co-ordinated requests too. Anyone want to take up the baton?

I think the Dev should add this to the ANN Front page. Also I think if it is possible address the PoW mining issue or just announce that the coin is purely PoS. I think you would stake more than you would mine PoW, anyway for this coin.

Devs in Z-Cash and BTCD seem to be working on some new wrinkles together. That's why no one is selling.

Are you saying the Devs of Z-Cash and BTCD are working together?

good to see bitcoindark holding strong, i still hold my original coins from the start

any chance of seeing this on shapeshift in the future?

Funny you mention this, at one time BTCD was on Shapeshift. As a matter of fact, Shapeshift posted a few ads to show BTCD could be traded for alts/BTC. I don't know why it was taken off but it seems after a ex-Dev of the site took some money from accounts it was taken off the site or at least so I've noticed. I didn't really used Shapeshift due to the larger fees you would be charged in addition to the regular exchange fees. I can only speculate but I think they were taken off due to the association with NXT which was also associated with Coinomat their competition.

If you want TEK on Poloniex then fill out the Coin Request form at Poloniex to ask that TEK be added. The more people that fill out the form then the more likely it is that TEK will be added to Polo.

Yeah slow and steady like bitcoin itself, it feels like value increases double when both btcd and btc rises, feels good man.

The rise of BTCD could be a number of factors I see a few people on here asking to trade BTCD for BTC out right as to not spook the exchanges upward. I think these same people wanting to become BTCD whales are now forced to buy from the exchanges so this may be temporary. Or traders are pumping BTCD for their own gain as they see how BTCD is a part of WAVES and how far jl777 has gone to develop this coin as well as other pet projects. Time will tell if these prices stick we could go up to $2.00+ or to the moon. Or the price could slump all the way down to $0.67 like it was some months back.

They might do it if you send 1 bitcoin to 114EfeskR7RR9Lkankm6SrYUpy4ExTAxh8 word is that gets things done last week  Tongue .

Wow what a business structure. Add a bunch of altcoins, neglect their respective wallets and extort the almighty BTC in return for fixing said wallet Shocked. I wish I would have thought of this. Seriously, Thundertoe is Yobit asking for 1 BTC just to fix the wallet on their own exchange site that makes money by charging fees for trading?
430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: June 06, 2016, 12:41:48 AM
Well I thought about getting into TEK but wallet doesnt work and hardly any pools  dont think I will bother with TEK

1. Download the latest wallet.
2. Delete everything in the %Appdata%/tekcoin folder except wallet.dat and (and tekcoin.conf if you have one with nodes).
3. Download the blockchain files from cryptochainer.com
4. Copy these files from this download to the %Appdata%/tekcoin folder and you should be good.

I don't know about mining TEK the PoW way but the PoS way is better than it anyway if you have a high balance.

Our TEK's only problem is the lack of exchanges supporting it. As it has one good exchange Cryptopia and a shady one Yobit.

Yeah, buy some it's ridiculously cheap, you can get BTCD for ~19K sats now ... amazing!

If I could buy BTCD at 19K satoshi I'd buy up everything I could. I think you forgot a zero as BTCD has been between 188K to 192K Sat lately...

For btcd I use bittrex. I buy some from time to time

I've always thought about using Bittrex just make enable 2fa, otherwise your account can get hacked.

I don't use polo. I only used it to buy doge a year ago.

What exchanges do you use?
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitcoinDark (BTCD)--Financial_Privacy/SuperNET_Core/InstantDEX/PAX/Divs on: June 03, 2016, 07:43:29 PM
Maybe small amounts withdraw faster. I remember cryptsy where small amounts could be withdrawn within a day where large amounts could take weeks/months.

LOL yea all this talk of Polo not withdrawing BTCD does remind me of Cryptsy. At Cryptsy, I remember that larger withdraws wouldn't go through at all or for some random reason I would get half of what I wanted. It was almost like they were staking with the very BTCD wallet that hinged upon their customer's withdrawals/deposits for their exchange service. Still not home yet just taking a break. I don't have the BTC to spend on more BTCD today. How much were you withdrawing just curious? Usually, Polo is pretty transparent about this stuff.

Update: I checked my wallet and found that the withdrawal went through  Smiley.

People in Poloniex are complaining about BTCD withdrawals for the last 3 days.
Be careful there.
cryptrader website shows chats for specific coins.
This is what it collected about BTCD from poloniex chatbox

Thanks for the info BitKokos2. However, I think BTCD withdraws are working as I just made a transaction for withdrawal and received a confirmation. I will check my wallet when I get home from work. Also, Polo will usually tell their users in the bulletins that a certain wallet is down for maintenance or just that the wallet is down in general, kind of like Cryptopia.

Complete BTCD 0.10972500

I've seen 'fake' Tek sell walls being contructed on Cryptopia several times today. Could it be Yobit trying to get cheap real Tek to replace the invalid Tek on the Yobit worthless fork? Don't sell cheaply! Someone is trying to panic you into selling low. If Yobit are trying to replace their bad Tek with good Tek, as has been suggested, then the good Tek price should soon shoot back up to the level where it belongs.

I'm amazed that Yobit's forked Tek is still being traded on Yobit and is roughly the same price as the good Tek on Cryptopia. Yobit has dragged the price of good Tek down to their level. Surely people know the difference? Does nobody read this thread?

You're probably right I did see TEK spike at Cryptopia from the teens to the fourties which is suspicious given the turbulant downturn due to the loss of an exchange and some of the microstakers displeased with the fork.

Another of Yobit's latest scams is the WAVES ICO. Not one WAVES was purchased during the ICO from a Yobit based-account. See more here:

Maybe it's time to talk with Bill at Bittrex about getting TEK on a real exchange... he is in the Slack almost everyday...

Bittrex charges 3 BTC to add a coin.
(Talking alone won't do anything , except when you talk to him , he tells you it 3 BTC.)  Tongue

Bleutrade charges 2 BTC to add a coin.
Their Delisting Policy is more lenient than Bittrex.

 Cool

FYI:
Personally Very Happy With Cryptopia.  Smiley
Would also recommend adding the LTC & Doge Markets to CoinMarketcap , as many start to favor the faster transactions and lower fees of LTC & Doge

FY2:
Bittrex Hacking scandal has not been resolved yet.  Tongue
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1423584.0
Hero & Legendary members have claimed stolen BTC, Bittrex has refused to call the Authorities in.

I personally don't care for Bleutrade. The fees were too high last I went there. Bittrex I knew a little bit about but this scandal already makes me not want to do business with them. I submitted a coin request at Poloniex to add TEK. Poloniex has great volume and exchange system. You should all submit a request, you never know we might get added they delisted a lot of other deadcoins and our Dev is still active.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: May 29, 2016, 12:50:57 PM
Well it's quite a feat to buy the huge supply out there

Yep and only one good exchange in which to buy the coin from which is a problem. At least Cryptopia won't be going down anytime soon. I have a share there personally and am trading my DOT for TEK at such a low price. Besides gaining attention from other exchanges you should add more features to the coin or get it adopted in other places like Shapeshift, Coinomat, or SuperNET.

GG

Good luck mate :/

Yea I lost some Doge and a little over a Litecoin from them. I only transferred all my alts (except my BTCD and various other stake coins) from Cryptsy over to BTER as they collapsed. I transferred a few others over to Poloniex. I was trading quite frequently on BTER and liked how you could earn daily interest on certain coins but that felt a bit fishy. I'd receive Doge from Genesis everyday but every so often BTER would change my address and not deposit the Doge after doing "maintenance". I would have to go into the Doge Block explorer and find the old wallet and tell them I am missing my Doge. I was tired of this so I withdrew everything and sent it to Polo. The only problem was I could never get my Litecoin from them but it wasn't much so I was just happy to leave that scam site. I bet they will be the next Mt. Gox here one day gone the next. I just hope Poloniex sticks around I really like that site but have grown to not trust exchanges any longer.

April 6th, stake blocks of at least 100 you will be fine.

So essentially the staking will be the stay  the same instead of staking many tiny block the new hard fork will stake larger blocks I take it?
