Nothing could ever replace fiat or physical money, not even bicoins. Not that I don't believe in bitcoins, I do but I think bitcoins needs a lot more time to fully reach it's full potential.
In the first sentence you say "nothing could ever", in the seconds you say "needs lot more time to reach full potential". Make your mind, is it never or someday when it reaches full potential? I say Bitcoin (or some other better cryptocurrency will slowly replace fiat money in the next 20-30 years. Why? Because, simply told, it's better in every aspect and naturally it must win.

The Cryprocurrency Game is not a solution for any actual problem... Bitcoin or Alts are not a "solution" for anyone with some credit cards and a PayPal account.
Fair distributed Cryptocurrency is a solution to massive fiat worldwide scam. The most important thing about Bitcoin is the way it is issued.

Silk road did indeed play a big role on bitcoin price and now it's down .
Visit /r/Darknetmarkets, you'll see around 20 replacements for Silk Road. Still yes, it played big role in the early stages.

Every time I add to my Bitcoin stash I feel like it is one of the very best decision I can make in my life.
+1. The most important technology after invention of Internet, that has huge financial and social implications can't fail. There's first-mover advantage. Be patient, when this fake fairy fiat tale starts to fall apart, that's when Bitcoin will really start to shine. 10K USD/BTC is most few years away IMO.

...if price rise to 10k USD over the course of few weeks, then I'll spend half and rebuy after the bubble burst.

Bitcoin is just money, and money always attracts the greedy and a criminal element. There is nothing special or different with bitcoin. You must pay taxes on bitcoin earnings or face the same penalties as any tax cheat. That's how I see it as an American. However if I lived in a shitty dictatorship I would see bitcoin as a way to get justice by evading the government. If i lived in a totalitarian country I would see bitcoin as a financial liberator. Bitcoin is not a tool to judge social benefit or make a moral statement. It is just money.
Bitcoin is financial liberator everywhere, USA included. That's the most important property of it.

Only sheeple got negative opinion about Bitcoin.

My take is that it's because they are super-rich early adopters, I can bet the price decline is fuelled mostly by them. Bitcoin is still too much concentrated, but whenever they dump Bitcoin's getting more evenly distributed which is good for price and for Bitcoin economy.

Since probability of Bitcoin going lower than this is very low, I say 100% Bitcoin and that's how I do it... And it's truly yours money. Having fiat in the bank means it can diminish tomorrow.

Which cryptocurrency are you using except Bitcoin?why?
Using Bitshares/BitUSD - one of the rare good ways to keep virtual crypto USD at your machine. Fuck capital controls.

If you are fine with a man in leadership who is either lying/misleading you about the instamine or didn't have the foresight to see that the instamine would haunt the community and a relaunch would be a simple and efficient means to avoid the situation permanently, then good for you. I just want those who aren't aware of the situation to have all the facts before they invest their money in what is either bad or worse management.
So you are like a crypto angel then that looks out for all the lost souls of the crypto world? How honorable. I'm telling you the Time Travel Signups are really looking for people like you. That's "ad-hominem". generalizethis is completely right. What we have here is a bit of founder's greed and pretty funny statement that 5% in the hands of founders "is required for coin's success". Investor can only hope Ewan doesn't decide he needs yacht at some point ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) . In the other hand, more or less distribution with every coin is very unequal and that is true. So you have to consider all the factors involved and decide if and how much do you want to invest.

But to give $400+ just to be able to run a node! I don't understand this and I don't see many people doing it. I mean this is a cool device to show off to your friends but what can it give you back for your money is still a bit unclear to me.
And this is the only reason why majority of people will buy it, and in the other hand, for majority of them $400 is nothing, sum so small they spend on sport shoes regularily, and this is the cool hip hyped device. This company may pray that there is enough of such sheeple to cover their costs for production & marketing, and I can almost bet there are.

option that "makes" you money. There are a lot of scrupulous sales people out there and very ignorant customers. In the beginning the returns might be $0.50 per day, but it
more like 0.05

Bitcoin does not work because people do not trust to buy things with bitcoin. I have a site running now for 5 months selling precious metals, made plenty of sales with credit card, bank transfer, no problems but not a single bitcoin purchase!
What is the point in bitcoin again?
Bitcoin crew does not believe in precious metals because they know what is the most precious commodity today.... ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Never been this sure that one product won't succeed. Simply put, it's too geeky. It seems it's possible to mine with it, yet they're hiding hash rate, probably because it's ridiculous and you can't earn anything with it.
