Very cool design. Unfortunately I can't afford 60 of them so I'll keep an eye out for group buys of these.
Also keeping a look out for a group buy. I could order the 60 since I have enough BTC, but I don't need 60 and I'm not able to manage a group buy at the moment.

loving this coin and mining all the time....
Is this still minable? I have not seen a POW block since 71021

I hope I get my Zetacoins back from Mintpal.

Hey everyone, Sorry I haven't posted here earlier with information about the community behind this coin. Recently we've added a tip bot to Twitter, which we will be open sourcing to the crypto community as a whole. @ZetaTip - More information can be found at zetatip.com To read more about our methodology that the community will be implementing over the next month you can read here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/3nh4umdov6c2lom/Zetacoin%20Methodology%20Proposal.pdf?dl=0Here's the community projects from the past two months: http://zetacoin.com/?p=714If you'd like to contribute we always have room! PM me here or post on zet.io! Good stuff. While the Ruby and JS libraries are nice, any chance of a Java implementation?

Silence... again I think kitteh is with no chance. Sad. I lost 3btc but its only game hehe Now is a good time to buy back those 3BTC using fiat to minimize your losses (or even make a profit).

Are the R-BOX's still available?

Okay guys, bit ashamed of myself.
Since all the bullshit like OpenEx and BitQuark I was tired of further developing this coin and decided to focus on school again. Since I see there are still people who support the BinaryCoin, I'm asking you guys your opinion on what and how we as a commmunity should do.
Should the development continue?
Who will help me?
Again, I'm really sorry about being ignorant to everyone around here.
I am still in full support of continuing development WITHOUT making any changes to the blockchain parameters. I have a mining pool going for this coin and I can setup a faucet if needed.

I hope the result of all this is the establishment of some laws that will - Prevent hardware manufactures from also operating as miners, to prevent them from mining with consumer funds/equipment.
- Places controls on prices so that manufactures are not over charging for hardware.
The first point is very important. It's a conflict of interest. They sell 'used' hardware to customers who believe they are getting 'new, unused' items. It also causes difficulty to rise sooner, thus requiring the customers to buy 'newer', 'faster' hardware more often.

"Zeta" is a letter of the Greek alphabet. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZetaSeveral groups, people, and organizations use it for a wide array of items. I don't see how the "Zeta" in "Zetacoin would be affiliated with the mentioned group, let alone confused for it. Zetabyte Zeta File system Riemann zeta function Tropical Storm ZetaZeta Interactive Catherine Zeta-Jones Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc HTC ZetaThe Zeta Project TV Series and so on...

Well, as i expected, opening the wallet at cryptsy would drop the price ...
It went really low now ...
Hope it will recover soon ...
You can always count on bagholders to dump on the best chance they get. Good riddance!

I thought I might chime in here. I know nothing about whatever "work" or "behind the scenes" stuff that is (or is not) being done with Kittehcoin. What I am sure about is that there has been some constant mining of Kittehcoin at my pool by the same few individuals in the past month.
Thanks for letting us know. About how much total kitteh do you think they got [approximately] during that ~1 month period? Thanks! During that 1 month period I've collected about 4 million MEOW in mining fees. The fee is 3% of the block reward. It's too late at night for me to do the math... - The pessimistic view is that these miners are just going to pump and dump.
- The optimistic view is that there is indeed work being done and these miners are making sure they are positioned nicely with Kittehcoin to support ongoing efforts.
Whatever the case, I'm in Kittehcoin for the long term (5+ years)

You guys too skeptical. Have a little belief, this is kitteh we're talking about. Word is someone has been working behind the scenes to make things happen. Kitteh might just soar.....
You mind sharing what "word" you've been hearing? You can PM me if you want. Much appreciated. I thought I might chime in here. Just 3 connections possibly all to wrong nodes. For mining, it is the best to wait until you have at least 8 connections and wallet is fully synced (current block height is 525,089).
Even when it was at 20 it still did the same. It's limited to 3 now to save RAM. I've decided to backup wallet.dat and start with a new block chain. Lets see what happens... Starting over with a new blockchain download fixed the problem.

What's going on with the TEKCoin block chain? I've done a "-reindex" twice and it seems stuck at 514993 even though I am finding valid blocks. 09/06/14 19:03:25 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:25 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:26 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:26 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:28 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:28 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:29 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:29 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:30 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:30 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:31 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:31 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:32 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:33 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:34 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED 09/06/14 19:03:34 ThreadRPCServer method=submitblock 09/06/14 19:03:35 ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED

Nice, someone purchased zetacoin.com. I was inquiring about that domain a few months ago and they wanted a little over 5 BtC for it.

after all, we may despise Microsoft, but if Bill hadn't swindled DOS and created Microsoft, where would the world be today?
Probably owning our software instead of licensing it, or better yet using FOSS everywhere

Despite what I said a few pages back about not buying more BTCD for a while, I did buy today when the price started to rise. I bought 160, and later sold 50. The rest have gone in to my wallet to party with my other BTCD. Im holding. My goal is to reach 100-1500. Im a fair bit off that...in time... PS Anyone have any idea why the coins price rose so high today? I think it might be because of the marketing:

No, firewalls were down, that last picture is a Betacoin Solo mine and u see I even got a block solo mining beta coins LOL So no firewall issues that I know of, I even tried turning off my antivirus, nothing is working, I can say I tried that solo mining pool securepayment website however my 1thash machine combined with my R-box got all orphaned blocks none were paid.
I had that error on my laptop trying to solo mine betacoins to my main computer, I was not RCP allowing its IP therefore it was not able to connect and gave me that same probing for active pools, as soon as I added the RCPallowip for that computer and my big machine they both were able to solo mine to my wallet on my desktop computer. I did have a probem on the laptop tho it said pool 0 cant get work fast enough, but thats better than not connecting at alllike the zetacoin is doing to me.
That is very strange. What version of the wallet are you using? If it's the latest, try using an 0.8.99.x version. Also, if you were getting lots of orphans on a pool I really doubt you'll get better results doing it solo locally.

tried the gen=0 did not work, I tried something new, when the cgminer Zetacoin Bat file says waiting for USB hotplug device and says no devices found, I leave it opened and open another BAT file and magically the other BAT file connects right up to the miner and begins mining. How is that possible for 1 BAT file to not recognize the miner but another one finds it right away and begins mining? so does this test tell me its certainly in the BAT file?? I have officially spent 12 hours on this coin between the forum registration problems to the solo mining problems, this is irritating, I can solo mine any other coin fine what is it with this zeta coin? Ok Must be in the zetacoin.conf file, I tried opening solomine with betacoin without opening the wallet and got the then I oened the betacoin wallet as a server like always in solo mining and got this SO what si wrong with my zetacoin.conf file?? I've never tried solo mining like that. I always either setup a stratum server or just use a solo mining pool. Any firewalls blocking stuff locally maybe?
