421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RES] RESPECTONOMY -A Decentralized Social Network - ICO Launching 6th FEB- on: February 10, 2017, 12:03:54 PM
Im just wondering if these scammers were able to steal some amount there is still a possibility that a dumb person didnt notice the change of btc address.

Hey gleb can you check this out?
I have a feeling that it will turn into scam
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1747896.560

To be honest, this project looks very scammy too, I think there must be some connections among, ASC, RES and XRO, they all use escrows but their behaviors look same, they all set very high threshold, and escrows can make money from refund. A crazy scammer community here is.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: February 10, 2017, 07:51:54 AM
was able to get a few more Strat today and bring cost average down a bit. liking what this company is working on.

Buying Stratis now is a wise option, we have kept the price range above 8k sat for 2 weeks, weak hands were out, whales are accumulating, it is a happy thing, you know we witness a huge project gonna big.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: real ESCROW functions. How they work now and how they should be. on: February 09, 2017, 12:59:34 PM
I see lot of ICOs with such called escrows but:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escrow

"An escrow is an account established by a broker for holding funds on behalf of the broker's principal or some other person until the consummation or termination of a transaction"

I just wonder why people tolerate in ICOs where main product is software tolerate a very simplified escrow which is escrow called but have little to do with escrow?
OK you get some Tokens or simplified coin before new one is developed, but this is not a consummation of transaction or agreement.

Right now the best escrow transaction example are holidays, where you pay to travel agency when you come back from holidays. Because they bankrupt to many times leaving people on the AirPorts on they back home or in worst situations.

How escrow for ICOs which are not assets like http://digix.io or hardware related like https://bnktothefuture.com/pitches/2893/_embs-ether-mining-backed-security-fund.html
??

In my opinion escrow for strongly software related ICOs should be an institution or software house which will have in mind keeping good reputation - like software house working often with Venture Capital and similar.

Escrow should release funds after reaching milestones after proper Quality of Service tests and  Software tests.
Reaching part of milestone results in receiving part of funds. After bugfixing and patches. With IO or DO decisions can be also altered by community...

Why not ?

You are right, only a few projects(Stratis&Lisk) use the escrow mode like you said, which releases partial fund after specific milestone has been done).

Most scam projects use poor escrows, best example is: Bittrex and breakout, breakout shit had 3 ico and scammed more than 700 BTC fund, their first ico was scam, but bittrex was still escrow for them, Bittrex only asks: normal blockchain, wallet and coin distribution, breakout finally released nothing on the roadmap and turned out to be a scam.

Another example: Opair scam and SebastianJu. Most people know this scam lied to escrow. Additionally, recent story of ASC team scammed 3 famous escrows(Lauda, yahoo and minerjones) by cheating a vague escrow term.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to analyze an ICO project going to be scam or not? on: February 09, 2017, 01:19:36 AM
It is a meaningful question, I have my own conditions:

1. dev team should be famous, or at least they publish their real identities. Anonymous team can be OK, but be cautious to invest.
2. always choose ICO with escrow, read the terms, otherwise Ascendancy scam cheated escrows with 75 btc fund will be repeated.
3. project is innovative, for example, waves, stratis, purevidz and so forth.
4. not overvalued ICO will be profitable, you see stratis is 8X of ICO price, purevidz is 7X.

427  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: February 08, 2017, 12:27:47 AM

I want to generate a constant monthly gain. Is it possible to do this by bitcoin trading? So, can I just do this by dealing with BTC trading?
Are there any people among us who can make a living by trading in BTC?

Manual trading can't get fixed income, if you use bot, you may earn steady income, but making money from trading needs more market fluctuation, if the swing is big, you may earn/lose quite big amount of bitcoin, otherwise may be a little.

hi , I'm trying to set 2FA for my account but when I scan the barcode and enter the pass that the app gives me it shows that the password is wrong
I have tried so many times and still the same results , so I thought that maybe i should ask the guys here
in general I use 2FA for over 20 sites and never faced such a problem except here and today I had problem loggin in to another site so maybe there is a problem in my side but I'm not sure about it
tips are much appreciated

Your camera may be just broken? Try another site to scan the 2FA barcode. I use it well in betcoin.ag. After examined your camera us ok, you need to resync your google auth's clock. Then it will be updated.
429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bter a scam? on: February 07, 2017, 01:03:36 PM
I have some friends who also use bter.com, some of them said bter is a scam, but some others said it is legit. I have traded there for 1 year, I don't find the problem. But bter had twice big hack cases, one was more than 10 million NXT hack, the other was thousands of bitcoin hack. It is insecure exchange, after that I never trade there.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Using Banks, Paypal And Credit Cards! Let's Integrate Bitcoin Everywhere! on: February 07, 2017, 09:47:17 AM
Why do you allow to governments track your transactions?
Why do you you pay crazy taxes for banks, third parties?
Why don't be your own bank and use Bitcoin only?
Why don't create something that will allow worldwide users to buy everything with bitcoin?
Why do you cry about unconfirmed transactions instead of downloading wallet and supporting the bitcoin network?

Bitcoin's future depends on public acceptance, why do you cry of less bitcoin acceptance instead of doing something and creating bitcoin business right now?

Your idea is good, but actually we need bank debit card at least, so we can deposit and withdraw money from that. I against paypal and credit cards, especially the latter one, it charges lots of fees and costs expensive annual fees. Paypal is bad because there are too many charge back scammers. I always avoid it.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation Time is now not a problem at local shops. Buy without any wait on: February 07, 2017, 09:13:24 AM
It's true, Bitcoin transactions with a 0.0002 fee are confirmed very quickly. And even credit card payments can be reversed many days later. So even though the transaction is unconfirmed, it's still received "instantly".

Not really, once my friend paid me 0.5 btc with 0.0009 btc fee, but I waited 15 hours to get 1 confirmation, so the confirmation time sometimes not short any more, maybe there were too many transactions in the same time?  Undecided
432  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINROYALE.COM 2.0 • New Design • Provably Fair • 1 BTC Bonus • Max Bet Doubled! on: February 07, 2017, 08:48:12 AM
We've received a few emails from our players about the long time it took to confirm transactions for withdrawal. So, we've just increased the fee for all of our withdrawals based on the suggested fee listed at http://bitcoinfees.21.co/. And yes, we pay for all the transaction fees. Smiley

When will you have a comeback? You did pretty well in 2014 and 2015, your signature campaign run smoothly, and reply was fast here. But in 2016 you are not so efficient any more, if you changed the operation team, we want to see your comeback, and make Coinroyale great again!
433  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: betballer scam on: February 07, 2017, 06:20:06 AM
Take a look at the sportsbookreview website where you can see them accusing me of either multiple accounts or being part of a betting syndicate which are nonsense. When asking about evidence they claimed to have more than just speculations and that they could send me ones to my e-mail but no evidence has been sent which of course is what I expected as an innocent bettor.

I almost registered their website and deposit for a bonus claim there, until I saw your story I gave it up, thanks for sharing the scam accusation. The website looks buggy, it displays codes in my side.

"{{displayMessage.Subject}}
{{displayMessage.Message}}
Close"

Actually the reviews of this website is not good, but they still attracted many players because of the bonus, and they cancelled and confiscated your winnings, which is immoral operation. Withdraw your deposit and never play in the scam website any more, they will do the same trick on other players.
434  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hacked at Nitrogen Sports on: February 07, 2017, 05:39:59 AM
Are you guys withdrawing smoothly? Why I withdraw 0.04 btc but it is still pending? Nitrogen's supports are having Super Bowl party?   Huh Huh
Did you saw their announcement on the chatbox ? I was planning to withdraw until I saw the message, now i'll just let my coins sit in the site for a while.

Quote from:  nitrogen chatbox
Please allow up to 24-hours for withdraws to process due to increased traffic after Superbowl LI.

Goodluck to everyone who are joining the grand draw later.

Thanks, I got payment in 1 hour, it was not easy to wait, I think Nitrogen should have won lots of money today, the Super Bowl was so fierce and crazy, they took huge bets.

"I had placed a wager that was finished and was waiting to be graded. This was at 230 pm EST.
I go to check back in at 250pm EST and all my coins are gone. "

Personally I am sorry to hear that you were hacked yesterday, how much money did you lose? Withdrawals within 20 minutes were fishy, you can see the dialog shows above, this guy withdrew 0.04 btc for 1 hour delay, so 20 minutes looks impossible, maybe it is insider stealing? Or maybe they neglected the IP check?

I recommend you post more proofs of bitcoin withdrawal info, like time and txid. And you can post it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=355081

435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Technology on: February 07, 2017, 04:08:24 AM
Is possible to upgrade the blockchain technology solving issues like the transactions taking too much time to finish without compromise the currency we have now or without creating a new version devaluing the currently one?

Yes, Segregated Witness is the technology you want to know, it only requires a soft fork to enlarge the block size to 2MB, the opposite technology is bitcoin unlimited, which requires a hard fork, it will devalue the bitcoin price. But SegWit is only supported by 20% miners, we will wait for 50% to get SegWit soft fork.
436  Economy / Gambling / Re: ◥◤ NitrogenSports ◢ Largest & Most Trusted BTC Sportsbook ◣ NFL Playoff Promo ◥◤ on: February 07, 2017, 02:10:48 AM
Very disappointed at the withdraw speed right now, been waiting over an hour for a 1 BTC withdraw. I did see the announcement, but still - why would it take this long? Even if there is a lot of traffic, they should know about it and have people waiting to add funds to the hot wallet, or just add more BTC straight up.

Hey guys,

The majority of our withdrawals are subject to a manual review before being processed. This helps us verify that the requested transactions are being authorized by the rightful account owner. We recommend that all of our players add 2FA to their accounts to ensure the security of your account/funds. This would also help to speed up the review process during times when there is a high volume of withdrawal requests.

Please know that our teams are working hard to process your transactions and we appreciate your patience!
Cal

Do you mean if we add 2FA, the withdrawal speed will be much faster than without 2FA? But if we add 2FA, every time I need to log in Nitrogen many times(you do not have forever cookie scheme), and many times with 2FA.

You are right, we have to enter the log-in information when we log in every time, and the site only memorizes 1 hour, so we have to log in many times although we are in log-in mode.

BTW, I can't find UEFA-Champions League odds and lines, where are they? I only find Europa League, but I have joint UEFA-CL parlay promo in last year, I want to join the promo more but still not find the odds and lines.
437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has proven it can pump hard without the need of chinese gamblers on: February 06, 2017, 12:29:08 PM
So you think previous mega pumps were caused by Chinese pumpers? IMO you are wrong, I assume the previous pumps were caused by western countries, because people in those countries have much higher average income than Chinese. Chinese exchanges' volumes were faked, so don't naively think they pumped bitcoin, fake volumes give you the wrong judgement: bitcoin is pumped by Chinese. But the truth is not, western countries use bitcoin more widespread, therefore western citizens pump the bitcoin.
438  Economy / Economics / Re: WHO HAVE BITCOIN TELER MACHINE? on: February 06, 2017, 12:06:22 PM
in my country BTC bitcoin teller machine was still rare it is, that so my question is who owns the bitcoin teller machine, and are there any of you who have never used?

Please clarify what you mean. I have never heard of a bitcoin teller machine. Perhaps you mean some sort of ATM machine? This is probably the strangest question I've ever heard on the bitcointalk forum.

Generally, bitcoin teller machine is fiat ATM, they are same, we use bitcoin instead because we have a special name to differ the fiat one. No more intention.

OP, for my BTM experience, I have seen some BTM in European countries, in Germany, there are many in main cities. But the fees are a bit high, never use it.
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you bet on "Sports" games that you don't know? on: February 06, 2017, 10:38:47 AM
Yes, I will still bet on games that I don't know. I will try my it maybe I
will got the "beginners' luck" and won my first bet. And even if I lose,
I will still look at in the positive way, It will be another games added
to my knowledge and maybe in the future, I will bet on that games
and win bigtime!!!

I seldom bet on the sports which I don't know, like baseball, its rule is too intrigued to understand, and better teams may have unexpected losses against weak teams.

I mostly bet on soccer and tennis, which I can play and 100% familiar with the rules, I have my betting data, and reference websites for odds and form analysis.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites on: February 06, 2017, 08:39:24 AM
Best and worst? And one/some where you took most of money?

My rank:
Best one: Nitrogensports, it offers the highest odds, and 0 confirmation deposit, we can bet even there is no confirmation. Never seen a better sportsbook than Nitrogen in bitcoin community.

Worst:
NO.1 Cloudbet, they have almost no support, confiscate funds and won't pay you money back.
NO.2 Directbet, bad odds, they have 95% worst odds among all bitcoin bookies.
